Best business people ever! Super friendly, very clean inside and out! Wish I could have stayed longer. I would rate them better than 5 stars.

We'll definitely be back! I will say the rooms are a bit dated but this in no way takes away from the experience. Everything was clean & quiet, the pool & rec room were wonderful. There is food & shopping within walking distance. I wish we could have stayed longer!

Staying here tonight to watch the eclipse tomorrow and this is a great place. The room is very clean and comfortable and I love that they let me bring my dog along to stay with us. Everyone is very nice and friendly and it has a nice family feel to the place. I've read other reviews that this place is closing down soon. I hope that this isn't true because I would love to stay here again.

It's cozy it's quiet it's peaceful it's relaxing and the air conditioner really works… :) The pix was right out our room… Beautiful.

I just Love this place! Better hurry if you want to see or stay here. Plans are in the works to tear it down and put in a parking lot or maybe some empty box stores.

This place was a breath of fresh air. Quiet guests and friendly staff. Originally had planned to stay at another establishment however after finding Id have to wait atleast 5 hours before checking in I found Golden Door would accept right then and there. Nice pool also! Planned on making this a common retreat but just read online its closing its doors soon. Very sad about that but wish the owners a happy retirement.

Great front desk communication and hospitality. Always quite, clean & relaxing. Perfect location not to far and not to close to everything.

Great location… rooms are clean … people very nice… I can bring my dog … so very pet friendly. Its a crime it will all be gone August 1st 2017. Breaks my heart.

Very comfortable beds and clean rooms. This motel was recommended to us from a good friend and I'm happy he did.

My family has been vacationing here since before I was born. Wonderful people work here and own the property. Clean, comfortable and safe place to stay. I love how the owners interact with the guests, care for the property and honestly enjoy knowing their clientel. It's like visiting family when we visit, and we have gotten to know many of the other repeat guests as well. Always a joy!

We stayed here friday and sat night. What a great place! Rooms are big very very clean place. Beautiful pool and grounds. Very nice game room. The owners are very nice people. Felt like we were at home! Highly recommend! Will be back for sure!

Location is very convenient and close surrounding businesses, the rooms are very clean and organized and the service is also very good and O have never had any problems.

Was nice really enjoyed the out door amenities but there wasn't a microwave or mini fridge in the rooms which I did not like.

Great place great cost a little hidden gem we really loved it there. Heated out door pool a plus.

After reading reviews of how good a stay others have I decided my wife and I should give it a try. The reviews were not wrong. We had an excellent stay in a very clean room. The owners are very kind. Many good restaurants within walking distance. We are going back in 2 weeks.

2nd time have stayed here. Best value for cleanliness & location. Friendly staff. Asked for walk in room as hubby on walker. Room was perfect. Take dogs with us and they enjoy looking out patio doors to courtyard. Have to go in summer when pool open. Will go back again.

Came through the Ozarks on short notice, and they were very accommodating. Very clean, well maintained, and friendly. Will definitely be back on my next trip to the area.

We stayed here over the Fourth of July weekend. We have no complaints. Could the rooms use a little updating, sure but the service and atmosphere make up for it. The owners were super nice and helpful with places to eat and things to do. We loved walking out the sliding glass door to the swimming pool and park like yard. The kids enjoyed the pool, swings, teeter-toters and ping pong table. They also have grills available to grill your own food. The kids can't wait to go back to the lake to stay here.

We attended the Lake of the Ozarks Mardi Gras Pub Crawl over the weekend and stayed at the Golden Door. Very friendly owners, clean rooms and it was a cold day with the room nice and comfortable. I highly recommend this motel for its facilities and friendly hospitality!
