This little gem was exactly what we needed. The hotels past Columbia were all booked, so we kept driving, not expecting to find anything acceptable, and growing more tired by the mile, hauling our Jeep on a trailer from Denver. What a relief to find this place! Perfectly friendly and sweet, and exceptionally roomy and clean, and absolutely quiet for a good night's sleep. Thank you!
Wonderful people, clean, quiet, safe place to stay while on the road. We decided to stay here on a family trip to Kansas with grandparents and small children, both directions. We chose this area because it was near the mid-point, but specifically chose Motel 70 because of the bad reviews, all written obviously by people who either want to use their lot to dump their trash or loiter with no intention of employing their service as innkeepers. Mrs. Tracy is a delightful woman, and though we never met the Mr. Tracy, you can see his hand in the upkeep of the property. You can tell these folks genuinely care for weary travelers, something that has been all but lost in modern times. It's not just a business transaction: we pay you, you provide a room. It's a hospitality opportunity: you graciously allow us the use of your place, we reimburse you for the effort you have put into making it welcoming. They put the friendly in dog friendly! She gave our dogs biscuits and a ball and offered to let us use bowls if we needed to. There is ample, lush grass to roam and play, which was a real joy from a long day in the car. The room was clean and had nice touches like tic tacs, decent products and more channels than we knew what to do with. We were warmly welcomed and felt safe and cozy the whole time. Thank you!
