We have been booking this hotel since 2005. Never again will we ever set foot at best western seaway in on hwy 49 in gulfport ms! horrible management. Horrible customer relations. They don't care about you they don't care about the rooms. They don't care anything about your stay. All they want is your money We checked in for a long weekend on June 4 2016 and was going to stay into the week. I booked a king handicap room. When we got there they said they were overbooked and offered us a double room. No discount would be given. Room was suspose to be non smoking it wasn't. I called customer service and talked to someone and he filed a claim and said someone would be contacting me. Their CUSTOMER SERVICE DEPARTMENT is no more than a over glorified answering service. Even the supervisors do nothing but take notes. We stayed unhappy but had to have a room since we traveled from out of state and no refund was Available. After a while we noticed that a family reunion was going on at the hotel and they had all them in one section. The section where I had reserved my king jucuzzi room. THEY HAD BUMPED ME OUT OF MY ROOM TO SATISFY THESE GUESTS AT MY EXPENSE! they never admitted it but why else would my room that was reserved was magically gone! No apology Sunday we were outside after all the noisy reunion left and went back to our room our key wouldn't work. They had locked us out. The room was paid. Had to to get another key. No apology offer I finally got very agitated because no one had contacted me 6 days later about our experience I started calling customer service again again over glorified answering service. They did leave a message at hotel for manager to call she finally called. Kimberly albert. I was upset about all that had transpired and said the word Hell. She wtold me not to cuss and said bye and hug up on me! I call back 3 times and never could get her to answer. Left messages and no return. Finally over glorified answering service called and said KIMBERLY ALBERT was relaying message that no refund would be issued and this was just my problem. She is very rude and has no customer relation courtesy nor trainned her staff well to let y'all all know. We sat and watch housekeeping clean rooms and there sheets are changed on some beds not all. The bedspreads and blankets are reused. If the towels are folded on counters they reuse them for next customer. Our room still had candy on floor so I know it wasn't vacuumed. The TV control had so much dirt on it I had to use Clorox wipe to clean it. The management and staff are rude and uncaring. Best western seaway inn on hwy 49 in gulport mississippi is dusguisting. We always lysoled down things BUT after watching this week and seeing this experience. I would run far away from this place. Breakfast is all microwaved frozen food and powdered eggs. So Waffle House next door is a good choice. Never in my life have I had such a horrible experience anywhere. If I could give this hotel a negative star I would. Stay next door at holiday in or clarion. The few extra dollars are worth it. Better service and cleanliness and no rude employees. Highly unhappy.
