Such a relaxing retreat to celebrate our anniversary weekend. We enjoyed the fall foliage along the beautiful trails on the property. Sally and Chris are such thoughtful and considerate hosts — impeccable attention to detail with a personal touch. The food was eye pleasing and delicious. And who doesn’t enjoy a little dessert with breakfast? She had great recommendations for local excursions. We did a 15 mile ride on the Mauthe Lake to Long Lake bike trail, stopped for lunch at 3 Sweets Bakery in Dundee, enjoyed the Shalom Wildlife Zoo across the street (free ice cream at the end! ), couples massage, and a 3 mile hike the next day on the Parnell Trail in Kettle Moraine State Forest (check out the tower! ). By the time we were leaving, we were saying “until next time” to our new (but felt like forever! ) friends.

Sally & Chris are just so thoughtful and gracious. You always feel welcome and like family. Their breakfasts are always a culinary delight. The rooms are relaxing and well appointed. And if you need anything its easily available or Sally will get it for you. And if you need something to do, there are quite a few designated hiking paths right outside the door. Sally can recommend something to do or a good restaurant for dinner Thanks for another great weekend!

We had the best two nights at this cute bed & breakfast! The owners Chris and Sally are beyond amazing, they make you feel welcome and at home. I can’t rave enough about the amazing 3 course breakfast made for you each morning! Our room was so nice, the big spa tub was amazing and there was music you could play while relaxing as well. There is a really nice zoo right across the street which made for a great morning activity. I would highly recommend this place for a relaxing getaway!

Chris and Sally’s bed and Breakfast was nothing short of amazing! Breakfast were phenomenal! We were completely satisfied with our stay. We felt so comfortable like we were at home. Hidden Serenity was well kept, clean and modern. They give you space if you wanted it or would mingle if you choose. They were very knowledgeable about the activities and evens in the area. We would recommend Chris and Sallys’s bed and Breakfast to anyone.

This place is simply amazing! Chris and Sally are the nicest people you can meet and they cook an awesome breakfast. I’ve never felt more comfortable staying somewhere and can’t find a single bad thing to say about the whole experience. The rooms, the ambience, the hosts, the food, the nature! It was a relaxing few days and we’ll definitely be going back as soon as we can!

We stayed here for our mini moon the week after our wedding. Such a great place with very nice hosts, clean & quiet rooms, and delicious breakfasts! We also got to enjoy the pickleball court and loved our room with fireplace and amazing shower. We definitely plan to return!

Spent a lovely weekend in "Timber Trails" for our anniversary. Nicely decorated and super comfortable room. We especially loved the heated flooring! Chris and Sally were lovely hosts and we enjoyed sharing their beautiful home. Will definitely be back!

Amazing, relaxing, fun stay at Hidden Serenity (a hidden gem in West Bend) cozy rooms, wonderfully decorated, pool table, hiking trails. Sally cooks homemade breakfast every day. It was delicious! Highly recommend!

Very comfortable bed with beautifully decorated room and bathroom. Breakfast (omelets) were the best I’ve had and hostess was so very kind and gracious. My first time at a B&B; won’t be my last, especially at HS. Would highly recommend and will be coming back.

My husband and I booked a mid week, mid October getaway and could not have been more pleased. The Inn is at the end of a long wooded driveway, so it’s very secluded. Sally and Chris are wonderful — helpful, friendly and interesting. The B &B is beautiful with large windows with fabulous views. The Inn and our room were clean and tastefully decorated. Our bed was very comfortable and the 2 person shower with heated floor was amazing. The breakfasts were delicious and creatively presented. The fall was a beautiful time to visit and we hope to return in the winter! 5 ***** Sidenote: highly recommend Shalom wildlife Sanctuary across the road. 2 mile walk to see entire place on crushed stone so wear good shoes.

This experience had a perfect balance of friendliness and privacy! We felt free to wander the property and participate at the inn without feeling bombarded as one could sometimes feel. With that said, we also received the warmth and hospitality we look forward to when staying at a B&B. Sally and Chris, the inn keepers were genuine in their conversations and gestures. The home cooked breakfasts did not disappoint, leaving us filled with energy to start our adventures! It was a relaxing, peaceful, comfortable, and tidy experience. We appreciated the thoughtfulness they pour onto the property to provide a wholistic guest experience, which seems to be lacking at a typical hotel or Air BnB. The trail and swings were a great addition to our experience and were able to enjoy the deer we crossed paths with while walking in the early evening. If you want to feel like you are staying with friends, this is the place for you! Thank you to Sally and Chris! We had a restful, much needed get away and we appreciated your recommendations.

This BnB provides everything you would want from a bed and breakfast. The owners are kind and really seek to establish a relationship with those who are staying with them. The rooms are comfortable and relaxing and the breakfast is delicious. There are only five rooms in the building so it provides an intimate retreat. I would recommend this place to anyone.

The rooms are beautiful and very well kept. The area is beautiful and secluded. Beds are comfortable, breakfast is delicious, hosts are kind and gracious.

Our stay was wonderful, the house and rooms are stunningly beautiful! We loved the quiet, and we're able to relax, and felt right at home. Our breakfast was delicious! I hope to definitely go back again, and enjoy the outdoors.

Wonderful rooms to stay in upstairs. Very comfortable in the warm & cold months. I've been going for almost 2 years. Every other month or so. Heated floors in the bathroom is a nice treat during the winter. The land around the property is amazing. The hiking trail is neat because it feels like your walking through a forest versus a popular trail. Seems more secret that your out there. We loved this beautiful, breathtaking Inn! The atmosphere is wonderful and breakfast better than you would find at a restaurant. We can't wait to go back!

We stayed here for our mini-honeymoon. We both had a great time. No complaints. The food was delicious and the woods was beautiful and peaceful. Sally and Chris were wonderful hosts.

Hidden Serenity Bed and Breakfast was the absolute best B&B we have ever stayed at. We are in our 60's so we have been to a few. The beautiful home, set way off the road in a quiet, tranquil forest, was amazing! The hostess Sally was gracious and welcoming, she made us feel at home. Host Chris was warm and welcoming, he drew us into conversation with the other guests as we enjoyed the delicious gourmet breakfast that he and Sally prepared and served out on the beautiful deck.

An absolutely beautiful place! It truly lives up to the name Hidden Serenity! The rooms were awesome, comfortable and so so clean. The breakfast was wonderful also. The property is beautiful and peaceful and you just want to stay longer. Sally and Chris are perfect host and I thank them for sharing their home with us.

Wow, this place is great! The place is a little remote, but that just adds to the appeal for me. Ours surrounded by trees and has sine hiking trails on the property. There is also a basketball court for basketball and the owners are happy to provide you with pickleball equipment, for which the court is also lined for. The rooms are beautiful with wonderful floating shelves made from "live edge" planks. The whole place is amazingly clean and fresh looking. The breakfast was terrific as the owners were a pleasure to chat with and very interested in making your stay wonderful. (Not related, but close by, Cedarburg's downtown was beautiful and busy, with many wonderful and intriguing shops and eateries to check out) I'd highly recommend this place if your looking for a bed and breakfast in the area.

A wonderful B&B! A fabulous home tucked in the woods. Wonderful food and amazing hosts who really go all out to make their guests feel welcomed. Also loved "Ginger Giraffe" who stands in the Common Room to great everyone. A must place to stay!

Gorgeous furniture, fantastic food (to die for), very personable but not imposing innkeepers, the most comfortable bed you will ever sleep on, and heated bathroom tiles. Worth every penny!

Beautiful, quite, romantic! The rooms are Sooooooooo welcoming and cozy! What a beautiful place to come and recharge. It's a shame we only had time for 1 night! # We will be back!

Sally and Chris are great hosts! A long winding driveway helped us imagine we could have been deep in the middle of a forest. The property is clean, well laid out, decorated with whimsy and very welcoming. There is a lot to do onsite and many interesting things beyond. My husband and I are very picky and were humbled that Sally and Chris really thought of everything!

One of the best places I found while driving 5k miles throughout the East Coast and the Midwest. Loved the peaceful and welcoming atmosphere and the location. The hosts were just great. They made me feel a very precious guest. I had to leave very early in the morning and they prepared a surprise basket of fruit by the door with a very nice note – which I saw sitting on the chair by the front door. I enjoyed greatly the comfort of my room, quiet and with a view on the woods. That particular night we had a storm, and it was especially nice to enjoy the colors of the lights under the bed and the illusion of the fireplace. Just the best atmosphere, with the extra luxury of a luscious shower. Loved the details and decoration of the house. Everything is there to surprise your eye and inspire your soul. Great place. Highly recommended! Hosts feel like friends. Thank you for the great stay, just wish I could stay longer! I definitely plan on going back to Hidden Serenity.

We couldn't have had a better time! A PERFECT blend of alone time, things to do, outstanding food and personable service! Me and my husband have always been a little hesitant of the Bed and Breakfast style lodging. We have never been too sure of how sanitary it would be, how much alone time we could enjoy and if it would be awkward with the actual family who owned it. When traveling, we like to stay in very clean places, have the luxury of being active or lounging to enjoy a good balance of solitude and independence from the rest of the world. We just always felt like a hotel was the best option. That quickly changed! This was our first time to stay at a Bed and Breakfast and to be honest, we couldn't have been more pleased. If you are looking for a beautiful place to spend some time away, enjoy the time slowly going by and create great memories, this is the place for you! The family who owns it has done an exceptional job of blending contemporary amenities while integrating a historic feel to the lodging, which made for a very romantic and pleasurable stay. The service and food were both outstanding! Everything was kept so clean and the family was very enjoyable to talk too. You could tell that they were very appreciative of us being there and really cared that we enjoyed our time. If you get an opportunity, don't pass up on Hidden Serenity because you will be missing out on such a wonderful experience.

Hidden Serenity was absolutely perfect for a mini-getaway from Chicago! The drive up to their home from the north suburbs of Chicago took just under 2 hours and was really beautiful in the late fall. Chris and Sally's home is beautiful, homey and a touch rustic, and laid out perfectly for a b&b. We stayed in the Bird's Eye room, which has a very large private bathroom and a large elegant bed. Chris and Sally were the perfect mix — they were very friendly when we wanted to chat, but also gave us our alone time. They recommended great hiking trails, but our favorite recommendation was checking out the Shalom Wildlife Sanctuary just across the street (open May-Nov, I believe). We had a pleasant 2.5 hour walk around the property ($9.50 admission for adults) and ran with the bear cubs alongside their huge enclosure, watched the new cougar being fed, and even got to toss venison meat to the wolves. The breakfast at Hidden Serenity each morning was delicious and huge! For our "main" course, we had delicious fruit-topped french toast one day and mushroom quiche the other. But they had a first course (fruit-filled yogurt one day, carrot cake oatmeal the other) and multiple sides each day. Suffice it to say, we were happy and stuffed :) We're hoping to send my boyfriend's parents here for a stay soon and will certainly be back ourselves.

As a long time business owner and dealing with the stresses of every day life, I look forward to quick weekend getaways because of time constraints. Some place close (2 hr. Drive for us) yet far enough away to really feel like we are in a completely different environment! We are not stay-in-your-average-hotel kind of people but prefer different and unique places. We are also very much into nature and enjoy The Great Outdoors and all it has to offer, so if we can find a place that meets these criteria we will give it a try. In searching for such places, I came across Hidden Serenity Bed and Breakfast. After I viewed the website and saw what this beautiful place has to offer and read what the owners had to say, I immediately knew this would be one of those "unique" places we had to try. So we did. And loved it! From the minute you drive up the winding driveway through the beautiful wooded property you realize this is not your average place. The natural beauty of the property with its own hiking trails, basketball/tennis court and golf and animal sanctuary close by, it has everything you need. Combine that with the beautiful home the Cochran's built that includes a spa, a cozy dining area, a large "Great" room coupled with a large movie/book library and pool table at your leisure makes this a fun AND relaxing place to stay! I especially enjoy the deck overlooking the scenic property and the beautiful landscaping where I sip my morning coffee and chat with Chris.

This is the only B&B that we've been to more than once. We are of the mindset that there is so much to explore why repeat. But this place bears repeating. Starting with the wonderful hosts Sally and Chris, the delicious and filling breakfasts made to satisfy any diet, and the beautiful surroundings, there is simply no place like Hidden Serenity. All the rooms are unique and gorgeous, each one with different interesting features, all of them upscale and welcoming. The proximity to Kettle Moraine State Park is a bonus, but even just walking the beautiful grounds at the B&B leaves one feeling connected to nature. We have seen deer, wild turkeys, numerous birds, all just outside our bedroom window. This is a place that carries with it a different beauty each season. We have seen spring and fall and are looking forward to experiencing summer and winter. The house is warm and inviting without feeling stuffy, and there is plenty to do right on premises (pool table, movies, books) if you just want to hibernate. I highly recommend Hidden Serenity. It is exactly what the title says. And then some.
