We drove all the way to this hotel after we booked a family stay and play to go skiing with a deal this hotel offered upon arriving they refused to give us the ski lift tickets we paid for. They refused to honor the deal we had pre paid for the front desk girl told me I needed to read the fine print which once I showed her how she was wrong she reluctantly gave us 1 day of the tickets we paid for but refused to give us the next days. I would highly suggest you avoid booking any family deals with this hotel as they will NOT honor them and fight with you about it. You will be out the money you paid and they will refuse to work with you in anyway. If I could give 0 stars and scream from the ski mountain top stay away from this rudely run hotel!

Our room was very nice (especially for the upgrade deal that I got). I could change the air settings that made it very comfortable instead of what it wanted to be. Breakfast was great and filling (the potato scramble was delicious! ). Pool was nice and warm. Overall one of the best Hotel experiences I have had in a long time! Will be coming back again for a mini vacation!

Had a great stay! Clean rooms and facilities! Pool and spa great size. Staff was wonderful from morning until night. Very friendly and helpful this included the nice elevator chats with maintenance. If I’m honest favorite part is the delicious unlimited supply of lobby coffee.

Nice hotel in a nice location. My son enjoyed the indoor pool. The breakfast was good. I made the reservation online but I found out after I checked out that I was charged a higher price. I am waiting for the hotel to get back to be about the reimbursement.

Did not get the room I booked and they didn't care. Some of my guests did not stay due to the room they gave us. The room they gave us smelled musty and like some one had smoked in it. We were not told of the breakfast the had. We weren't told of the extra charge they automatically put on your bill and you have ask them to remove it. I would not recommend their hotel to my friends or family.

It was perfect. Super clean. Quiet. Tv worked. Bathroom was clean. Shower was great. Staff was friendly. Nice place to stay. Can't ask for anything better than this.

Wonderful, very clean hotel. Beds are very comfortable and there's a good sized pool. Only knock against it was the workout facility only had a treadmill, elliptical, and bike, that's it. Everything else was spectacular and a great price.

The hotel is fairly new so everything is still really nice, and new looking. The rooms were nice and clean. Comfortable beds and DirectTV which was really nice to have. The staff was all very friendly.

Location was great, nice and quiet on the edge of town. Staff was friendly, everything was clean. The pool was awesome! It's so rare to find a hotel pool where the chlorine if balanced and doesn't burn your eyes out of your head. Nice work on that. The only reason for a 4 star vs 5 is that the beds were pretty hard for our taste. We would definitely stay again.

Mid-week pricing makes GrandStay a perfect one night getaway. Our suite was very clean. The staff was friendly and the town offered unique dining experiences.

Huge rooms that were clean and comfortable. I appreciated the many amenities and the delicious breakfasts. The staff was lovely as well.

I was in town for some training and this place was only a few miles from my destination. A super friendly staff with a perfect location that was close to a grocery store and some nice little restaurants. If I was in the area again. I would certainly stay here.

Everything was great except the Wi-Fi for us at least. I'm a Network professional and couldn't get any of my devices to connect. Not the worst thing though. Other than that it's a nice very clean hotel!

Pleasing, kind staff. Room Rate was reasonable. Comfortable, clean and well appointed room with very comfortable bedding. Pool area was also very clean (hot tub and pool temperature's were perfect. ) Breakfast, satisfying for basic continental.

Great rooms. Very clean maintained well. Great staff always greet you whenever they see you. Good breakfast spread and overall it's great value for money. I would recommend this place if you are planning a visit to Madison or MT. Horeb ski resort.

Nice hotel, only problem is there's nothing around so you really need a car if you want to do anything or grab dinner.

Nice location for getting to the ski hill, pool area was very clean, and the water was nice. Rooms were nice, and the front desk lady was very nice!

We stumbled upon the GrandStay on 2/1/18 — — what a great find and a wonderful hotel! The check-in gal was very friendly and helpful and told us about a fun place to have dinner that evening. Our room was very modern, clean, and had very comfortable beds. The breakfast room was very inviting and the selection far exceeded that of similar hotels. Thank you GrandStay for being there when we needed you!

Nice new (2 years old) facility. Rooms have nice beds, fridge and TV. The exercise room only has exercise bikes and no weights or exercise equipment which would be really nice to have available. However, they do have a large pool for a hotel that you could pull off two or three strokes if you wanted to swim laps. Breakfast is available for several hours each morning with the standard scrambled eggs, waffles and yogurt. The staff are friendly and helpful. SUGGESTION: Go to Miller and Sons grocery store which is. 4 miles down the street to get food and load up your fridge.

The super human at the front decked rescued me from a horrible experience at a different local hotel. She got me into a whirlpool suite and turned my weekend into a GREAT weekend. I can't wait to try the breakfast in the morning! Will stay here next time I work a long weekend.

Stayed here at the beginning of April. The hot tub was closed for repairs but instead of letting guests know and closing it off they let people go in and learn the hard way. Guests were running u and down the halls at all hours of the night and management did nothing to remedy it. The Continental breakfast was sub-par at best. When I contacted the hotel about this after my visit I was blown off. This will be the last time I am darkening this hotel's door.

My friend and I stayed here at the Beginning of April of 2017 and it was rather unfortunate. They have people running up and down the halls at all hours of the night and they did nothing try and stop it. Also the hot tub was cold. When I wrote a review on their Facebook page after the trip they brushed it off stating "well the hot tub was closed, we forgot to put up a sign" and failed to address my other concerns. The Breakfast was free but left a lot to be desired. Next time I go to visit house on the rock I will just stay at their resort instead. I would not return to this hotel. Customer service seems to be a foreign word to them.

What a great hotel for little Mount Horeb! Clean, bright, spacious, inviting. Friendly staff. Good breakfast. Nice coffee shop right across the street.

We mixed up our reservations elsewhere and showed up here last minute. The ladies at the front desk were very helpful, and when they overheard us talking about having a weekend as a couple away from kids, they recommended a Jacuzzi room, which was a fantastic idea. The room was clean and comfortable, the shower was hot, and the room was quiet.

Where do I even start? I live in Minnesota and travel fairly often, I've stayed at this hotel 4 times now I believe and each time it's been a treat. Rachel is the GM there and she is terrific, her staff is second to none as well. I've always felt like a guest in a lavish home here, everybody is so attentive and friendly. Whether you're hosting a business function or taking a mini vacation, GrandStay is where it's at. I would recommend it to friends and family, professionals, and beyond.

We stayed one night in a queen room. The room was clean and nice, with a comfy bed. The pool and hot tub were great! Staff was friendly. Kringle with the breakfast was a great touch.

I'm posting this again since my original review has been deleted: I arrived after midnight on Friday (actually early Saturday morning, June 10) and despite leaving a message about my arrival time, nobody was available to check me in. I rang the bell 5 different times, and judging from calls I made to family and eventually the hotel's 1-800 #, I waited about 30 minutes for anyone to come. When they did, it was 3 young girls having a great time. It appeared that 2 were employees and one was a drunken friend. They offered no apology for the long wait and kept laughing at the drunk girl who offered them money to allow her to jump in the pool. I asked if there was a note about my late arrival and the girl checking me in said "yeah but we were throwing chemicals in the pool" — to which all 3 girls started laughing. It was really rude and the night staff needs training in customer service to say the least. The rest of my stay went well. The room and pool area were clean, the breakfast was good (I especially enjoyed the Racine Kringle which I don't get often living out of state) and the check out staff were polite and professional. I'd give them 5 stars if it weren't for the check in staff. Update: Now I hear back from one of those check-in girls, and it's not an apology for the wait or for the way I was treated, but sorry that MY perception was wrong and that is not what happened.

The rooms were nice and clean. The pool area was nice, however there was a band aid that was in the same spot next to the hot tub for 3 days… Tells me that floor isn't cleaned regularly. Breakfast was good and the employee who worked it was very pleasant and on top of everything. I wonder why a 2 night minimum as it was nowhere near full…

Stopped in to swim. The lady behind the desk hadn't a clue what the package deals were despite halfway trying to sell me on them. Oddly she didn't know the price? Figure that one. Her efforts were all for not though, as it wasn't "open swim" time. However she did mention that they often let people in outside of "open swim" time, just not at that moment, they were way to busy. As was evidenced by the 3 whole cars in the parking lot, empty lobby/breakfast nook and stillness of the water surface of the pool. Um yeah, I'll just go down the road to your competitor there, okay?

Very nice hotel! Clean, friendly and very comfortable bed. Stayed 6 days for work and definitely would like to come back to explore the beautiful area. Highly recommended.

Our family stayed at the GrandStay while they were in town for a visit. A whole group of us came to the hotel just to make use of the pool on a cold Wisconsin winter day. The staff were very friendly and made us all feel welcome. The pool and hot tub facilities were very nice. It was easy to keep an eye on the kids in the pool from the comfort of the hot tub. The hotel also offers a punch card option for us locals to use the pool whenever we would like.

Charming hotel! Beds were comfortable, good free breakfast, front desk staff are very personable, beautiful pool was warm and clean, refrigerator and microwave in room, fully — stocked vending machines on first floor, Keurig machine in room, free Wi-Fi. Ask them about Mt. Horeb's trolls.

Always limited options in Mt. Horeb when I came for seminars in the past. This new hotel is fabulous! Clean, LARGE rooms (the size of my apartment), and super friendly staff! Mt. Horeb definitely needed this and what a pleasure to stay here :)

I was thankful to get such a good rate through Groupon for our stay at your hotel in Mount Horeb. We make frequent trips to the Madison area because my husband is a Viet Nam Vet and has to go to the Veterans Clinic in Madison. The room we stayed in was a very nice size, the bed was comfortable, met all our needs. The only issue was the drain stopper did not work, it appears when installed it was done so that you could not pull the stopper up it hit the counter trim. It is always nice to get a free breakfast with any hotel we stay at. This was our first stay at this chain of restaurants, normally we have stayed in Madison at another chain and their Breakfast Buffet is unbelievable I have never seen on like it, their rates are comparable to yours but as of yet I have not seen them on Groupon. I also appreciate that you do allow pets in your hotels, it is hard to find hotels that do allow large dogs, I don't know the reason but I am thankful for that service available. Our daughter lives in Mount Horeb but because she doesn't have room for us to stay we have to either stay in Madison or if there is a good rate at your hotel we will stay there because of the pet policy. I will share our pleasure in staying at your hotel. Thank You.

The hotel is at the edge of town but it's a very easy drive to the Trollway and other attractions. The room was clean and the furnishings were nice. They were able to accommodate a late check out. Rate was excellent for what we got! We really enjoyed the breakfast, too. Hot food was waffles or biscuit and gravy with a good variety of pastries, cereal, and other cold items. We would definitely return if we end up in town for the night!

Very clean. Comfortable bed. Very friendly. Just a few minutes to downtown Mount Horeb. Great deal from the hotel for their winter special.

The price is unbeatable! The staff are helpful at recommending places to eat around town. The whole place is updated. There are towels to use in the pool area. The pool was warm. Our kids had a blast for hrs in the pool. The rooms are clean and very stylish. There is a mini fridge for left overs from a resturaunt and a microwave to heat them up. There is a coffee maker in the room. Granite bathrooms sinks and there is so much to eat for breakfast in the morning… waffles, cereal, juice, milk, eggs, sausage, toast, bagles, pastries, lots of varieties of tea, coffee, yogart, cheese. I found it to be a great exerience before we drove to the House on the Rock the next morning. Highly recommended.
