No thrills motel, just a place to crash as on the road. Clean enough, cozy and inexpensive. Very friendly staff, going out of their way to keep the guest satisfied. I left an item behind and the receptionist helped me to get it back to me! Thank you!

The room was kind of creepy and while we were gone the staff entered with out notice. They removed all of our possessions from the drawers and arranged them on the bed. They were changing out the furniture. It would have been fine if they had asked to do it or told us. The touched our garments and personal items, removed the furniture and replaced it with worse items and shoved an extra desk into the room for some reason. They we're polite about it but didn't seem to understand why we were upset by it.

New cable system has been installed right before memorial day 2018. This place has been open for many years. Not closed at all. New owners about 5 years ago or so. Improvements are being made. Some mistakes like forgetting what rooms need cleaning. Family business. No outside staff. Lower cost than any in area. Find food elsewhere, not a problem. All rooms have outside door. No hallways. A big plus.

The room was not very clean (bathroom mainly). We didnt realize that they unplugged the refrigerator so our infants milk went bad because we put everything in the fridge and left for the entire day. There were barely any plugins in the room, no nightstand on one side of the bed, the TV was so fuzzy that you could barely make out what was on TV, checkin person was very hard to understand and had to ask me how much they were charging me to stay there and how I booked the room, there was trash all along the sides of the building, the breakfast wasnt worth eating, and the parking lot was horribly small. The view and balcony were awesome and the front of the hotel looked really nice. I also liked how spaceous the room was and liked that cabin feel.

We stayed here for 4 nights… the breakfast is horrible and almost non existent… the parking lot was not very big at all and we could barely get out amidst all the giant trucks with their snow mobile trailers being pulled behind them. We had to buy rock salt just to not slip and fall up and down the stairs. We had two separate rooms and the other rooms bathroom toilet was leaking and apparently leaked through the floor into the room below which we got blamed for. The only thing I enjoyed was the balcony that we could go sit on and watch the snowmobiles flying across the frozen lake.

If you plan on staying here DONT beds horrible, a donut at breakfast broke my son's tooth, t. V. Didn't work internet had 2 versions and when they found out we were watching Netflix all day they shut both off! The guy pretends to not speak English but he speaks it just fine to his kids. The toilet sprang a leak while we were out and she tried to blame us for her faulty plumbing rooms were run down and there was mold growing out of the carpet. Did I mention the horrible horrible beds uncomfortable stinky stained beds ewwwwww.

Very old inside. Shower has mold on wall above shower wall and the no slip strips on the bottom are pulled up and disgusting looking. Shower knobs on the sink that drains very slowly. Painted walls are done like a 12 year old did the work. Carpet made our feet grey and dirty. Front desk didn't know we have online reservations or how much we had to paid. Heater in wall thumps and clicks all night and is very annoying. Just very unsatisfied overall. Considering going across town and getting a new room tomorrow.

Great deal. Clean room, friendly staff and a good breakfast included. These are not luxury accommodations.

Pet friendly and relatively clean… however no one was aware of our booking when we arrived. They seemed confused and could not understand us when we said we booked online. When we finally got them to understand they asked us “How many nights? What rate did they tell you? ” We could’ve told them literally anything. No coffee maker in the room but there is a microwave and mini fridge. Some updates have clearly been done but nothing amazing. The only other issue we had was on our first morning (we were staying two nights) first the woman cleaning walked into our room (do not disturb sign was out and we were changing) and then the man walked right into our room and asked if we were staying another night. We had already signed and payed for two nights. They are also pet friendly, however, when the man walked into our room he swatted and kicked at our small dog who was just standing there. The price is alright, not an amazing deal for what you get. This was our third and last time giving this place a chance. Better option in town is the Super 8 for sure.

I'm staying here as we speak, over all it is a good motel, but the room I'm staying in there is pink mold in bath tub and mold in the drain, and hair was in the bath tub as well. Also they say breakfast is till 11 that's a lie. Not to mention, I asked for service and no one could really understand what I was meaning had to tell them over and over what I needed. Other then that the place is nice but could use a little better housekeeping. My wife has worked in hotels most of her life and what she finds is gross sometimes. So when I spend my money on a room I stay in for weeks at a time due to my job makes me think twice on where to go because she points out the most important when it comes to housekeeping.

Acceptable. Pet friendly. Not a bad price.

Room was clean and had obvious work done such as, new bathroom tile, new carpet at entry area and new laminated flooring for the rest of the floor. On the minus side, there was no coffee maker in room. The big thing for me was, I need a room for people with disabilities. There was a grip bar next to the toilet but nothing in the shower where it is really needed. There was a shower bench which wouldn't have fit properly in the tub (don't use these anyway). The toilet is very small and very low. Room was only $63 per night but not worth it since I didn't feel safe to use the shower. 1 grip bar and a shower bench does not equate to a disabled room. For anyone without disabilities it would be a great place to stay.

Great place, Wi-Fi, siding patio door out of room to smoke on, upper floor also, Good size rooms, breakfast, cable, pet's allowed just informed upon setting up a date, deposit might be required. Half the place as Motel 6, down the road half mile, great view of Elk River.

The motel was clean big good bathroom size and owner is great. Good continal.

The "continental breakfast" was awful. Beds were hard, air did not work properly. I did not see any bugs but had bites when I got home. Not at all worth the price.

Clean rooms and good service. It is a nice location overlooking the lake.

Lakeview on all rooms. Easy to get to. Walls are a little thin, can hear what's going on in rooms around you.

Decent room, uncomfortable beds, decent bathrooms, great patio, small television, friendly staff.

Rooms are clean and comfortable, but needs a bit a updating.

The place itself wasn't bad. The view was fabulous. Unfortunately, one of the towels were yellow (stained or just old? ), the sheets had stains (stains, or just not changed? ), and the bathroom smelled like urine. I wasn't that thrilled with the continental breakfast. The "orange juice' was just sunny d. My biggest gripe was the management, or maybe he was the owner, I don't know. He was so hard to understand. His accent was very thick. There was another guest in the office while I was in there. He was arguing with this young women. If I could not understand him, he probably can't understand his guests. He wasn't very nice to her. I won't stay here again.

You get what you pay for. While I would not consider it exactly clean, it was not filthy. The carpet was stained in the entrance area. The room mostly had laminate wood floor. Nice LED TV but they mounted the thing about one foot from the ceiling. Typical Patel Motel.
