From the outside a person could be fooled by looks. I have to commend the staff and management for creating a 5 star setting with minimal essential. The woodsy rustic decor was upscale. From checkin to checkout the on duty staff was polite and went above and beyond being helpful. The hotel was very quaint and charming. Some offerings included a nice computer and printer, free high speed internet, a semi private sitting and dining area, snacks and soda for purchase, and the 24hr indoor pool for adults, because 10pm and send away the kids. Most important for my travel demands is noise issues. The hotel sits far away from the road and has no side streets so my 4 days was serene as a atay at 4 Seasons. The rooms and interior is all new clean and gorgeous. I commend your Eagle Creek Best Western. Your efforts and hotel rate you number 1 on my list of all 3star hotels not only Best Western properties. Lastly, the property is located by all venues and events.

We had an excellent stay at the Best Western Derby Inn. The pool and hot tub are very nice and lots of towels, shower, etc. Available in the pool area. The staff at this hotel are extremely helpful and friendly. Room cleanliness and space is good. Breakfast provided a wide variety of choices including gluten free.

I love the Best Western Derby Inn. This has been our go to place whenever we need to be in this area. The room is super clean and comfortable. Highly recommended!

Nice, clean and newly redecorated hotel/motel. Decent breakfast w/eggs, bacon or sausage & potatoes, waffles, cereal, juices & coffee. My only complaint is the pillows, which are big & puffy&are difficult to sleep on if you have neck problems.

Very nice hotel. Pool is open to adults all night. Breakfast is delicious. We've stayed here before and have been pleased both times. No bacon this time, but the eggs are tasty.

This is the only hotel we stay at when in Eagle River. The staff is excellent. They are very professional, welcoming and nice! Rooms are always clean and everything in the rooms are in working order! Also all rooms are updated. Nice breakfast bar. Lobby is very welcoming.

The beds and pillows very comfortable and the pool and jacuzzi were so enjoyable. Not our first stay here. We keep returning because it is the best hotel in Eagle River in our opinion. Excellent hotel stay all away around! Spent 5 days and I was absolutely happy! Rooms were very clean (Great Job Housekeeping staff! ) and the beds were super comfy! Breakfast was the best breakfast I’ve had at a hotel. So many options to choose from, even a picky eater would be happy. I do want to especially thank Katrina (evening front desk attendant) for being so accommodating. I had a couple requests and she smiled, was kind, and went above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of. I would happily return to this location and would absolutely recommend this hotel for anyone I know is coming to Eagle River!

Hotel is well maintained with the grounds but parking is very limited on the lot. Otherwise parking in the back with no back in access from the rear door. Going out is fine but a long walk back to the main doors. The inside is very nice and clean along with the spacious rooms. Unfortunately the front staff was very inept. Definitely gave off the wrong impression to a number of guests because waiting to check in was a long and tedious process. We were an imposition to a woman who clearly didn't care if any of the guests standing there stayed or left. If that's the case, there's other hotels in the area to take our money. When an elderly couple asked for the best place to park, the answer was "I don't know here's your room. Can I help who's next? " The next guy, a construction worker, couldn't even check in because she couldn't find his information and was told to "bring back the person who made the reservation and next person please". Then us ranging from not entering the correct information from her part, to not being willing to change a credit card because it was too cumbersome and then not willing to answer questions about the hotel. If this is what BW is turning into, I'll start my monthly stays with traveling elsewhere. Such a disappointment.

The room was decorated very nicely and was very clean. Breakast was very good with several options. I would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend this hotel to others.

We stayed for a family wedding in the area. Great breakfast, clean room, classic Northwoods feel. Enjoyed our stay there. Kids liked the pool.

Love this place… quiet, clean and the breakfast is delicious… it's like going in your own kitchen and you can choose what you like to eat. highly recommend this place.

Overall, we liked this hotel. Rooms were clean and they had an excellent free breakfast buffet — really good! Our problem was with the guy that worked at night and kicked our kids out of the pool (for 'adult swim'). We were having a great time and there was no one else in the pool area. We asked if we could stay and said we would leave if anyone came in. He was unwilling to compromise to any degree and, frankly, was rather rude. That incident kind of ruined the overall stay for us. The 'customer-friendly' thing for him to do what have been to let us stay for awhile and show a little flexibility — but that wasn't going to happen. It was quite disappointing.

Super clean, nice location, awesome pool and hot tub, great location for snowmobile trails, spacious parking, and yummy food! Staff is friendly and wide range of knowledge. Cant wait to stay again next winter for snowmobile season!

Absolutely best stay at a hotel we have had in a long time! Clean, well kept, presentable hotel. Every staff member we encountered was really friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good, had a great selection. Room was very comfortable. Beds are amazing! Pool open 24/7 with quiet time for adults after 11 which was nice. Will definitely be staying here again when up that way!

Our room was great, the staff couldn't have been more friendly or helpful. We didn't ask for a handicapped room but we're able to get a shower chair so my handicapped husband could shower. The breakfast we had in the morning was great! We will definitely stay here again.

Second time staying here and will stay again. Great location, quiet, clean, nice staff and awesome breakfast with some gluten free options. Price is good and the pool, hot tub is awesome. Will continue to come back.

Nice place friendly staff and 24hr open pool! Along with alot of cool sled racing history pictures and trophies.

Everything was great but, no elevator, no crib or pack'n play, no high chair or booster seat for our little one, and my back hurt while trying to sleep. We made use of the fold out sofa with cushions all around so our little one wouldn't fall out. They offered us some books for her to sit on while eating but she needs a seat belt, and next time we'll sleep sideways on their mattress.
