We stayed for 3 nights. Thursday — Sunday morning. The first night there was an odd smell, but I couldn't place it. Then we got random whiffs of a urine-like smell. Our shower had no hot water. I assumed it was from so many guests using it. Didn't work the next night either. We didn't have one of the door hangers that asks for privacy. No problem, I thought if I didn't hang out a privacy sign, they would come in to take the trash, etc. Nope. Nothing. The walls are thin. The door has a gap in the frame, and everyone in the halls all night kept us up. Which didn't matter, because the constantly running toilet kept us up too. I kept having to mess with the chain in the middle of the night. The back of the toilet is GROSS, but we really needed to sleep at least a little. We are tired. We feel gross. We hated the hotel. The only saving grace was that a couple of the staff were nice. When we checked out this morning the gal wasn't as nice. She barely said a word, and could have cared less. Next year I would be smarter to just sleep in my truck.

We stayed for a long weekend in July 2020. Our first room smelled of urine, the second rooms main door did not lock. Last our third room, which was considered a “suite” had broken chairs, no place to set our luggage, and the fridge was broken. We also came home from that trip with bed bugs. The service was 50/50. We had some good receptionist, bartenders and housekeeper. One of the bartenders was so annoyed at my group for asking for ranch with our pizza she tossed it at us. I can absolutely without a doubt say that my family will never stay here ever again. I highly recommend if you are looking to stay in the area, you find other lodging. It’s not worth the headache.

I just love this place. With in walking distance of 2 restaurants, gas station, and spacious grounds to explore. Great continental breakfast, friendly staff, and very comfortable rooms.

This hotel is great and caters to ATVing. The rooms were clean and the property well kept. I took one star off because the property is lacking in the bar/lounge area. The area has so much potential, but there was only one working trying to help over 33 people. The service was good, when I got it. An additional bartender/server would have made this 5 stars.

$30/day PET FEE — — And they claim to be pet-friendly?! They have a whole sheet of pet rules you have to sign, too. The place was a pig with lipstick — peeling wallpaper, caulking someone applied with their elbow in the shower!, dripping on my 1st floor ceiling with water stains, to say nothing of the electrical outlets — see picture (is that even legal? ) The only saving grace was the lovely lobby (with no regular creamer for coffee, only flavored? ) and the dining room. We won't be back!

The staff were nice enough to let me know they found my drivers license. They initially offered to mail it to me. After waiting a week, I called them again and found out they had not mailed it. They wrote down my address and again told me they would mail it to me. I waited another 4 days and it still hadn't arrived. I called the front desk a 3rd time and it was STILL in their safe just sitting there. I ended up driving 5 hours back to the hotel to pick it up in person. If the issue was the cost of postage I would have gladly paid any costs to mail it. If it's against their policy to mail a lost and found item, why lie to me and tell me they would be happy to mail it?

This is the most disgusting hotel with an unprofessional staff, musty smelling and dirty rooms. Everything here is falling apart. A bathroom stall had CAUTION tape over the door that was half off. The elevator was broken, the lawn was not mowed. We made our reservations in March and requested (yes, I'm aware it was a request) adjoining rooms for a family reunion. They were unable to accommodate even one request and admitted to accidentally checking another person into the room. THEN, we spoke with the manager on duty and she refused to apologize or help with anything. As a matter of fact, she walked away from us while we were still talking and went back to her office. Considering we called and talked over our situation and were assured everything would be great this hotel fell far short. We will never have an event here again and will be sure to tell everyone just how terrible this is.

We stayed at this hotel for one night 7/15. We had 3 rooms reserved. I had the confirmation letter for the 3 rooms. Get to the hotel to be told there was only a reservation for one room and that had been cancelled. We had not cancelled any of our reservations. Thank goodness I had the reservation confirmation letter for all 3 rooms. It took awhile but Monique (day front desk clerk) was WONDERFUL, got it all straightened out. Beds in rooms were comfortable with lots of pillows, rooms and hallway very quiet, great for sleeping. One thing that did raise a concern for me when leaving in the morning was a very large stack of bundled clean towels laying directly on the hallway carpet in addition to filled sacks with new bedding outside each door on the floor as housekeeping staff were cleaning rooms. Towels directly on the carpet is a huge infection control issue. Appears housekeeping could use additional training. Otherwise it was a positive stay.

Stayed here for one night and we wernt exactly thrilled. My friend said our room smelled like wet crackers (? ) And to be honest a bit moldy. The beds were great though and the pillows were perfect. The staff was friendly and efficient, although the housekeeping did try to open our door when we said we were still in the room, but they could have just not heard us. Over all it was an okay experience.

We will not be returning to this hotel. Requested early check in when we booked, was not able to check in every slightly early. Our room was muggy and smelled like urine. The air conditioner did NOTHING but run without cooling. Bed was super uncomfortable. Breakfast was poor. Hotel has its own restaurant yet the only fresh choices were scrambled eggs and sausage patties. Not fruit or anything else not bread based. Dry cereal or instant oatmeal, had much higher hopes for a meal. Hotel is out of date.

The handicap bathroom was too small to be handicap for a wheelchair. The refrigerator didn't work when I told them these things I didn't get a satisfactory answer. " well I we have Soo many rooms you can't expect me to have been in every one. " "Was it plugged in? " Yes had to throw out the steak I had put in the refrigerator. Was in the pool area when a man stepped on the grate for the hot tub and the grate moved and the man almost fell. They kept shutting the doors in the hallway so my husband had to wait for me to open the doors. He's in a wheelchair and only has full use of his left side. Some people opened them for him which was very nice. But I felt they shouldn't be closed at all.

Rooms aren't good. A lot of repairs needed, bad smell, unfriendly staff. Only good thing was the breakfast.

Wonderful staff! Great pool and hot tub. Delicious complimentary breakfast and coffee in the lobby! I recommend this place to anyone!

We got stuck in the middle of an April snowstorm and couldn’t pass up the fantastic deal we found at the Arrowhead Resort. The bed was extremely comfortable and the room was clean. We looked for a place with a bar and restaurant so we didn’t have to drive anymore and the Orange Moose was exactly what we were looking for! The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Would absolutely stay here again!

The staff is top notch; these ladies really care about their customers. It's right near the exit to the interstate, as well as the downtown area. Clean rooms, nice beds and pillows. I'd recommend them!

It truly was a lovely stay. Ample parking. I live life in a wheelchair so accessibility to all parts of the hotel were unlimited. Both the pool and a hot tub have chair lifts but the lift in the pool was not working at the time of my stay. A lift for the hot tub was working but did not have a retention device (seat belt) so I opted not to use it. That was the only downside to my stay) The room was modern, updated and very clean. The bed was very comfortable and a pillows fluffy. The room smelled fresh and clean. The pool was very nice and in good condition. The staff was amazing and check in was flawless. We enjoyed the continental breakfast. Most of the people we met on our stay were working on various projects and have been there for quite some time. They had nothing but good reviews for us about their stays as well. We would highly recommend this Best Western to anyone.

Traveler beware. After almost two weeks I have found this location to be outright liars. They are inconsiderate and non responsive to returning a lost item, a portable Bluetooth speaker left on a in room hot tub. I realized I left it on returning home and knowing it's exact location called housekeeping only to get a massage machine 3 times. HOUSEKEEPING NEVER RETURNED MY CALL, although she assured me she did. The following week I returned in person. The manager took my complaint ONLY ON A SCRAP OF PAPER that she scrounged up. She assured me she would call with results in 2 days after the weekend but she hasn't. My guess is this location does not care about you as a customer once you've checked out and should you LEAVE ANYTHING BEHIND, TOO BAD — IT'S OURS NOW. Likely to be pawned for gambling at the casino up the road or cigarettes which it seems the staff smoke an abundance of outside the swimming pool doorway. Other than that: We travel with two dogs. Stayed in room 241. Extremely convenient for walking them. There is a RV park bordering the property and an ATV/SNOWMOBILE trail that intersects making walks very enjoyable & useful (to the dogs). The truck picture shows the RV park. Trails to the left. Katie who works there helped us find an auto mechanic when our trucks brakes went out. She's a good person to have checking you in. so I have mixed feelings.

I showed up with an online reservation for the wrong date and was able still get a room. The staff was very patient with me. I was able to have my pet stay with me for a much needed break from the long drive.

Staff very professional and hotel very clean. I do not recommend eating a meal there outside of the breakfast buffet. Staff for meal (bartender only) very bad… I would stay here but I would not eat here again.

Nice clean friendly with good bar & grill and a decent breakfast.

The hotel itself was clean and comfortable. The detractor was the restaurant in the hotel where we ate dinner, which was not good. However, the hot breakfast bar was very good and everything was hot and fresh!

Arrived later in the evening. Staff was helpful, explaining room choices for best value. Very nice accomodations for family of 4 traveling holiday week. My kids loved the hot tub in room. Had food and drinks in bar/lounge. Awesome burgers, good service. Only complaint was door open off of seating area, allowed smoke from people smoking to come into bar area. Being a non smoker, and waiting for our dinner, did not enjoy the smoke coming into bar.

Awesomeness hotel! Amazing free breakfast, pool, hottub, Gym, dining room and bar with beautiful views! Big clean rooms! The General Manager and her staff were very helpful and took great care of their guest!

We stayed at the hotel in black river falls the night before my wedding I was not impressed my room was dirty I had booked a whirl pool room to relax and I had to clean the hair out of the drain and jets. Before we could use it the same with the bath tub it had built up dirt rings I cleaned it as well then my daughter and I went to their restaurant to eat I spent 73.00 on food that wasn’t good at all my hamburger was so dry. I ordered a Bloody Mary that the tomato juice was so thick I couldn’t finish it and my daughters drink had fruit flies frozen in the ice not once but twice and if this wasn’t all bad enough my daughter was getting breakfast for my grandkids only cereal and juice and the staff was very rude to the lady who was taking plates up to her room because she’s already eaten well I’m sorry she paid for food. She had kids up in her room but it made my daughter feel so bad for that lady that she herself stop getting food and came up to our room. I’m sorry I’d heard good reviews for this hotel which is why I choose this hotel I am very disappointed I have stayed at best Western befor but have never encountered. This before I may not choose best Westerns hotels again the best part of my experience was your front desk person her name is crystal she great this stay was 12-31-2017

This has to be one of the worst hotels we have stayed at! The entire place is in major need of maintenance. Upon arrival we were given false hope since the lobby seemed reasonably nice. We very quickly realized that we made a bad decision once we headed to our room. The overflowing outside trash can greeted us as we re-entered near our room. We made it past broken floor tiles, holes in walls, and trim pieces that were falling off the walls as we headed down the hall. Once inside our room it only got worse! The bathroom stunk like mildew, the floors were dirty, and the uncomfortable beds had some very poor fitting sheets that wouldn’t stay on the mattresses. The walls must not have much soundproofing since we could hear the TV and any other noise from our neighbors. Plus there is a gap under the doors large enough to see the lights from the hall. This allows us to hear everybody who walks past our room. The ice machine that is intended to service our half the hotel was not even there and the soda machine only had one selection stocked the entire time we were there! I would NOT recommend this hotel!

I have stayed at this hotel many times over the last several years, often in November and December while visiting family. Each time, I have had a pleasant experience. The rooms are modest but clean. The pool area is clean. The continental breakfast has hot food as well as cereals, breads, etc. The front desk staff have always been friendly and welcoming. I've also never had an issue with their Wi-Fi. I intend to continue staying here when I am in the area!

The hotel is nice and clean and the staff was very nice. Only problem we had was with the food. I ordered chicken strips for my son and they came completely Raw. In fact, they were still cold in the middle. It appeared that two of them were stuck together and did not cook. I was issued a refund for the chicken strips. I'm very thankful he didn't eat them as he could have gotten very sick.

Very nice rooms. Clean and comfortable. Our room was a little small, but still very comfortable. The building shows a little wear, but still well kept.

Room clean, comfortable bed (queen). Relatively quiet facility although when the ATVs are running and you are on the back side of the property near the trail entrance, you will hear them in your room. Staff pleasant but could be more versed on the area and dining facilities listed in their menu folder. Was only able to eat the complimentary breakfast on site as the restaurant and bar were not serving food due to 'kitchen problems'.

This appears to be a really old hotel retrofitted with new additions. The lowest rate 2-bed rooms next to the lobby (200-220 or so) are tiny. The bathroom is a weird wedge in the back corner of the room, and the bathroom door is so small and narrow, that I rub my shoulders on the door frame, and I have to turn sideways to get through it. I am not a big person. The plumbing water supply to these old rooms appears to be severely undersized. While taking a shower, the water temperature is constantly changing as people in other rooms are flushing their toilet or using their sink. I try to adjust the water temperature to a comfortable setting, but I am constantly being hit with frying hot followed by cold. The toilet is a huge old beast with what looks like a water-wasting 5-gallon flush. And for whatever reason in the room I was in, while laying in the bed trying to sleep, I keep hearing this water pressure surging noise every once in a while from the bathroom area, that last for about 10-15 seconds or so. What the hell is it and why aren't the pipes soundproofed in the walls, so I don't need to keep listening to this? And speaking of soundproofing, there is essentially no soundproofing around the room door. With the room lights off, the hallway light shines in all the way around the door frame. I wanted quiet so I had the room climate control turned off, and I can hear EVERYTHING in the hallway laying in the bed.

The hotel staff and the hotel were awesome. The bar/bartender was a good time. But then there was the wait staff. They were something to be desired. We were told to be seated at a table by the bartender for supper and we sat at this table and asked the 3 waitresses standing there if it was okay. They asked us if we were eating and we said yes, one of them said they preferred we would sit on the other side. So we did and when we walked out 20 minutes later, we had not yet been waited on. Total disappointment.

Pleasant motel in a nice setting. There are "trails" for ATVs and walking. The Orange Moose lounge is convenient for food & beverages… food "OK". A Perkin's restaurant, Subway, and neat little wine/cheese deli are easy walking distance.

The property is massive. Enjoyed the walk around the pond for some relaxing exercise before calling it a night. The hotel was full but you would never have guessed. We were able to get a spot for dinner in the restaurant and a table for breakfast without having to wait. Our room on the second floor was huge. Largest hotel room we've ever had. Bed was very comfortable, made it hard to get up in the morning. Overall an exceptional stay and we'll be back again.
