Very beautiful views looking out onto the lake. The room was comfortable.

We got a Lakeview room. Beds are comfortable. Nice rooms.

I cancelled my hotel room per the hotel's rules, and they refuse to refund my money. Hotel management stole my money.

Loved the king suite with whirlpool bath… just feet from the lake. It’s just outside Ashland, so no fighting city traffic. What a beautiful view.

Best view of the bay — wonderful friendly staff, clean rooms, and the pool is almost always free during the day so you can enjoy the entire pool and hot tub to yourself. The staff is always busy working and striving to make your stay or visit a much enjoyable one. This will always be one of our favorite places to stop, whether it be overnight or to just take the kids swimming :) 5 stars!

Such a clean, comfortable, and cozy place to stay! The views of Lake Superior from the restaurant, and in the room, was spectacular. We sincerely enjoyed meeting and visiting with Amanda. She was friendly, genuine, and couldn't be more helpful. She had a a sincere kindness about her, which is rarely witnessed in a high stress Manager Position in a Hotel. We will recommend this 5-Star Quality Inn to everyone we know!

Beautiful, dinning free breakfast made to order, over looking the would be water if it wasn't frozen. But very nice and clean.

Huge spacious room but the beds were a little too soft. Parking was difficult as the hotel was full and we had a lot of things to take into the room. Located on Lake Superior, a beautiful view to wake up to. Breakfast was comp or minimal charge but made to order, delicious. Staff was accommodating.

Stayed in the king suite. Staff went above and beyond to accomodate the party. Breakfast was cheap and delicious, plus served cafe-style which was very nice. Wonderful grounds to spend time near the lake. Overall one of the nicest hotels I've stayed in.

We stayed in a pool side room. Bed was comfortable and the staff were very friendly and kind. Pool and hot tub we're great. Nice view out back. Food is better than an average hotel.

Positive: The breakfast and service was good. We upgraded to a room facing the lake. The view was wonderful. The beds were clean and comfortable. Negative: Upon entering the room, we were met with a strong unpleasant odor. It was really bad and I sprayed the room with my own air freshener. This helped but the bathroom still smelled. There were two corners in the bathroom with webs and a spider in them, plus another above the mirror.

Oh my gosh the best stay ever! I got a veteran's discount. Pam and Chandra in the Lake Rock cafe will make you feel like family:) Best omelette I ever had! Free coffee, juice and breakfast. (Omlette wasn't free but very inexpensive) room was amazing and very clean.

We stayed 2 nights at the hotel. The rooms were a good size and the beds were ok. The breakfast was made to order, very good! The morning we were to leave, our car wouldn't start. Tim, the manager, and the maintenance worker tried to jump-start our vehicle and even worked to see if the starter was having issues. They looked around to see if any mechanics were open and when they weren't, Tim let us borrow his own car to drive our batter to O'Riley Auto Parts to get it tested! It was dead, so we replaced it and we're on our way. Their customer service at Quality In was amazing!

Right next to lake. Not too far from Bayfield. Renovated rooms, clean and big balconies. Restaurant next door was closed when we visited but its very close to town.

Hotel with beautiful views. The Lake is super close. They have nice lakeshore access with outside seats. Sadly the onsite BBQ place is closed. Ashland is not within walking but lots of delivery options. Indoor pool and hot tib.

When we called to make our reservation 3 days before arrival and I asked staff how busy the hotel was suppose to be and if there were any scheduled birthday parties. We were told that it didnt look too busy. We arrived and there was a kid birthday party with almost 50 children and adults. It started at 3. They took over the entire pool room and my family had to leave. But when we were leaving, the birthday party guests had used up all of the pool towels so I went to the front desk and staff offered me 2 small hand towels. The adults continued to party in the pool room loudly for hours after pool close. I talked to staff and the said she'd ask them to quiet down but they never did. I tried calling the front desk but never got an answer. We came here with 4 children and see very disappointed.

Right on Lake Superior. We had a north side room with a view of the lake. The breakfast cafe was very good. It’s a sit and eat and have your food brought to you kind that has a free menu for guests. Other options for a couple dollars more. The design of the inn is rustic and the wood is beautiful. Staff was great. The only problems are the indoor pool makes it so terribly hot in the halls and that carried over to our room. The windows have a tiny opening with a screen but not nearly enough to cool the room. We had to run the ac and it was literally 35 degrees outside. The rooms are also very small with dated bathrooms but they were clean and the room was clean. I would stay here again and I would tell my friends to stay here.

Nice rooms, outside needs some maintenance. Pool was great, not over chlorinated. Breakfast was nice and staff was helpful.

It was a nice place but being that it is still winter, the blankets did not do anything to keep out the cold. The TV didn't work either. It was fine because I had stuff on my phone but if you don't have unlimited data like I do, that may cause a problem.

We stayed for new years eve. Staff very nice. Room was nice and clean. Window curtains did not close which let cool air and light in room. Had humidifier running in room? Dissatisfied with the hot tub. Not warm at all. Staff tried once to fix didn't work wasn't til 830pm someone came to fix. Had dirty hair in it. Times for pool area could be longer. 9am to 10pm be nice to open earlier in morn. N have a hour of adult time 9pm to10pm. That's Normal in other motels we stayed at. More tables n chairs on pool area. All in all OK place and we would come back.

I booked a poolside room. Very cozy! I've stayed here before and had their breakfast, and it better than most breakfasts at hotels, and is very affordable!

Staff was incredibly friendly and responsive. Will make this my go to place when in Ashland visiting my son! Pool and hot tub were awesome and a good breakfast restaurant is a nice amenity! On top of that an amazing view of the lake from many places!

Staff was very nice and the breakfast was good, however one of the Queen beds was covered in small charcoal pieces. When brought to the attention of the staff, it was noted as a common problem with the window AC/heating units. As cleanliness is my factor on hotel stays, it was a bit disappointing.

Had a good stay here. Nice indoor pool and hot tub. The hotel is right on the bay with great views. The staff was very helpful, no complaints.

Very cool having the balcony overlooking the lake, just about 10 yards off the building. The free breakfast is a gimmick. You get a $3 off coupon for their restaurant, and while there are some $3 items on the menu…

Friendly and professional staff. Spectacular pool area. Incredible views of Lake Superior and in fact you can walk right up to the Shoreline over a grassy lawn which is surprising for the reasonable price. Highly recommended if you're visiting.

Super nice facility. Amazing pool and very nice break fast nook. Best hotel breakfast I have ever had and very affordable.

First impression: The room was neatly set up with 2 beds, 1 TV, 1 mini fridge, 1 microwave, and 1 coffee maker. (Note: There are many mirrors placed in the room). The bathroom light was dim and there was a bit of mold in the shower, but otherwise it was nice. My sister and I loved the pool and the hot tub, but there was NO sauna. There are many great beaches around, and ferry rides available. It was a fun experience, and I would most likely do it again in the future.

Very nice hotel. Room and bathroom were clean. Everything worked… pool, hot tub, and suna were great! Breakfast was not included, and based on the rate of the rooms I felt that it should have been. That's my only complaint. I would stay again.

Rooms were clean. Has an awesome view of Lake Superior and Fire Pit outside of your inclined to have a fire. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Very nice hotel and stay here with a chance for fishing right behind the hotel on the water front. The water line was a little swollen from all the rain they had in the past few days, but it was still a nice spot. Has a nice swimming pool with a luke-warm hot tub. Nice fresh made coffee or hot water available at the front desk as you walk by it to get to the pool. Only bummer for us was that we had to walk outside of the hotel to get into were the pool was located.

Rooms are poorly remodeled and very small. Staff is not friendly and the rooms are poorly cleaned. The parking lot is small do you have to park at the restaurant next store and carry your luggage back. Common area balconies with little privacy. People drunk right outside your bedroom window feet from where you're sleeping. Worst hotel in Ashland.

Clean room, good service, great location. It was a little pricey and the next door septic system had overflown. If not for those, 5 star.

Great place to stay in Ashland WI. It's right on the lake and the rooms are very nice. Guests get a free breakfast at the hotel diner and the food is much better than your typical hotel breakfast.

Staff, outstanding. Enjoyed Free breakfast each day, excellent service. Pam is delightful, hard working lady. Jane at the front desk, charming, a real gem. We are in our 80's and felt right at home while we visited our 7 great grand children in Glidden. Housekeeping excellent. Pool, hot tub, great location on Lake Superior. Beds very comfortable, All amenities made our stay delightful, especially the staff. Minor issue with faucet. Was fixed immediately and done with a smile. Will definitely stay here any time.

Stayed in a 2nd floor, lakeview room. Room was clean, comfortable and quiet. Staff was pleasant and helpful.

Had potential but they never cleaned our room and all they said was "sorry, " there was a nail sticking up on the threshold on the floor, and even though there were plenty of open rooms with a view of lake superior, we were given a room off to the side. And the Starbucks espresso machine was broke. No free breakfast. But there was a fridge and microwave and the beds were comfy TV was not in HD. It was right on the shore and 20m drive to apostle islands. All for $90 a night. Just an OK stay.

This was the best motel experience of my life. The place was awesome! So very happy with our stay. We'll most defineatly be back! I wish I would have gotten the front clerks name, she was great! The Tomah Quality Inn, thats a completely different story!

Good value for money. Pool and views over the lakes are nice. Good place for one or two nights.

We stayed at the Quality Inn in Ashland WI for thanksgiving with quite a bit of our family. Upon arriving to our rooms, my father in law found feces in the toilet, not just a smear or splatter, a whole chunk of feces. Our doors weather strip was ripped almost all the way off and flopping around. The front desk, being attended by a young man, also gave a key to random drunk individual to my uncle's room, where the drunk individual then took it upon myself to walk into my uncle's room while his wife was using the restroom with the bathroom door open. Extremely unprofessional! We requested rooms that were on the first floor as my mother in law has back issues and this hotel does not have elevators, we were told that there were no more rooms available, the ONLY rooms occupied were that of other family members of our family, that being 3 rooms! Our family will definitely find a different hotel to stay with for our next family get together.

My family and I just stayed here 4 nights while we toured the Apostle Islands and went hiking at Copper Falls State Park and Potato Falls. We loved it. It was clean and comfortable and even though it's right on the highway, we all slept well with the fan/air on all night. The girls loved the big pool area with hot tub. Breakfast in the morning is pretty standard, but there's a nice selection. Each person gets a $3 credit in the restaurant for breakfast. Menu items are all between $3 and $8. Most are $6 or less. There's also a fire pit out back, but we never used it. Watch for the resident deer. We saw her out back right next to the water 3 of the 4 nights we were there. Overall we chose this hotel because of it's convenient location and our past Quality Inn experiences. We would definitely stay there again.

Room had a very unpleasant smell to it. There was old food in the microwave rotting. The room overall was outdated and felt very dirty. Only plus was the lake view.

I really enjoyed Lake Superior Lodge west of Ashland, WI. I had driven by it and a nice looking restaurant beside it and wanted to stay there sometime since it was right on a beautiful bay of Lake Superior. When I searched for hotel/motels near Ashland, WI, not knowing the name, it didn't come up, which made it quite difficult to locate but I FINALLY found it and I am so glad I did. We only paid $107/night and our room was really nice and clean, with a microwave and refrigerator, but best of all, the view of Lake Superior was stunning and you could walk out the back door and sit on a deck. Next door there was a really nice restaurant/bar where we ate dinner both nights with views of the lake, and the Lake Superior Lodge has a small cafe where we had an excellent breakfast both mornings. Lake Superior Lodge has a nice lobby with a fireplace, and it has a nice indoor pool and exercise room. I LOVE this lodge and would highly recommend it.

The lobby was very pretty and cozy, and our room with the lake view was fabulous and overall I loved every minute I stayed there. Not to mention the two beautiful young ladies at the front desk, they were very friendly and helpful. I will definitely be staying again!

Very nice looking from the outside, which is why we chose to stay there. Our first night, we removed the covers from the bed, to find a huge bloody (appeared fresh) stain on the sheets, which had soaked through to the mattress pad — the room had all the appearance of having been cleaned by housekeeping (mints on the pillows, etc). We called the front desk, and the employee brought us new sheets to make up our own bed. They said they would give us a rate reduction — which ended up being less than 50% of our night's rate. We will not be staying at this hotel again in the future.

The motel is located right on Lake Superior and has a magnificent view of the Lake. The staff was very friendly and the pool and hot tub were great. The pool didn't have a walk-in which made it a little tougher to use for anyone who has mobility issues. The room had a king size bed and was very comfortable. We requested a pool side room close to the hot tub and the staff accommodated with a room just where we asked. We were very happy with the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. A microwave and refrigerator would have added a great deal to the amenities and would have been enough to gain the 5th star in the above rating. We were otherwise very happy. The lobby had free coffee and internet access with a free computer to use. The on site restaurant was more of a cafe and only open for breakfast and lunch but there is a great restaurant right next door. We also enjoyed a very wonderful small Mexican cafe that was about a mile down the road towards Ashland. The Breakwater Cafe was also well worth the visit and was much more of a restaurant than a cafe. We were very satisfied and will be returning in just couple of weeks for another short get-a-way!
