I wish I could give one particular employee a 5 star and the other staff a 1 star. This particular employee took it upon themselves to bad mouth that 5 star employee in front of customers. So I upon getting to AmericInn I was greeted by whom I take it as the managers right hand girl. I think her name was Carmen. She was being very childish, rude and unprofessional. We should have been greeted with professionalism and our stay made comfortable but that was not the case with this GIRL. I was clearly uncomfortable with how she seemed to be bad mouthing another employee and that is not something any guest should feel or hear upon checking in. The next day I had some issues and this wonderful lady by the name of Janelle did everything to accommodate us and I give her credit for that especially because she seems to value customers. I believe this hotel needs to revamp their choice of managers and assistants. Carmen portrayed herself in manner that was outright sickening and was very self entitled acting. I refuse to stay here again.

Decent room. Breafast bar supposed to be open at 6AM but we left at 5:15Am and gentleman had it ready so he said help yourself.

We stay in Sioux Falls often for work and we always stays at the AmericInn. The staff is the absolute BEST! They are very kind and extremely helpful. We appreciate the large rooms and the comfy beds! Our room is always super clean and the breakfast is really good too! The pool area is also exceptionally clean and the hot tub is amazing!

Nice clean rooms, pool hot tub worked, only complaint never got the Wi-Fi password.

Our third visit to this hotel, overall, the hotel is fine but we did have one concern. The surface of the bathtub was slippery — dangerously so. We had to place some face towels on the bottom of the tub to prevent us from slipping. I mentioned it at checkout but the clerk wasn't very interested — said it was probably the fault of the cleaning staff using too much cleaner. I really don't think the cleaners are at fault. If the hotel doesn't want someone falling over in the tub they should pay more attention to my concern.

Wasn't there very long, what time we did spend there was comfortable and quiet.

The stay was much better than expected. The rooms are large and very clean. The staff is amazing. If we drive through again we'll stay here for sure.

I can say about my stay here was one of the best. I had to travel to come to a funeral and was given a discount. Staff was very nice and asked if we needed our room clean. We had told her no because we had a late check in. When I called to make the reservations I had let them know it would be a late check in and she said that it was ok because we were traveling so far. I also asked if I could have a room close to my sister because she was also staying here and we were just down and across from each other. The pool was fun and the hot tub was the best made it for a great night sleep. My room was very clean bed was comfortable. If I had to stay here again I would a million times over. The staff at the from desk all hrs of the night and day were very friendly and made us feel very welcome. I highly recommended this hotel.

The door was jammed, we couldn't open the window, the tub took 45 minutes to drain, our bathroom door wouldn't lock, and Bem got a bloody nose. I don't know if I reccomend.

Satisfactory, spacious rooms. A little noisy due to thin walls and gaps under the doors. Wish the air/heat had a constant on function rather than cycling — the white noise helps me sleep and the break in cycles makes that difficult. Overall, a decent place to sleep while in town.

Unfortunately our otherwise pleasant experience was made less pleasant by two things. The first night there were some loud kids in the hallway after 10 PM. When one of the front desk staff was asked to address this problem, they said there was nothing they could do. Second, the milk on the second morning was spoiled. Chunks in the carton. The manger the next morning was very nice and said they have a quiet policy and that the staff should have done something about the noise. They also replaced all the spoiled milk cartons. The pool and hot tub are nice, and the other staff were all friendly and helpful. The room was clean.

The hotel itself isn't anything too spectacular, but the staff was extremely friendly! They let us have some apple juice and milk from the breakfast bar for our young children when we ran out during the night. They were also extremely pleasant upon check in. The breakfast was good and had variety. Hot coffee 24/7. The pool was a bit cold, but the hot tub was nice. Great location near the interstate, shopping, and restaurants. Perfect place to stay during bad weather.

Clean and spacious pool and hot tub. We were very impressed. The whole facility is smoke-free. The beds were pretty good too. Most of all, I enjoyed the super friendly staff.

I booked this hotel on a 900 mile trip, after which I had driven 600 of those miles. It was clean, comfortable and very relaxing. Friendly staff, decent breakfast, right off the interstate and close to a Perkins and IHOP. (I walked to the Perkins for supper) It was less than $10 more than the place I stayed last week at the start of my trip, but worlds better!

Rooms are good for the price. Good location, right by the shopping center. Best of all, fresh cookies at the front desk!

What did I like about it? … nothing, other than we got to spend some good family time together. The staff was very rude. We have been coming here for the past 12 years and they obviously don't give a rip. This will be the very last time we stay here.

We were very disappointed we were not made aware that we had to specify a non smoking room. We are from WI and smoking is prohibited in most public buildings so we didn't think about requesting. Our room had a very stale smell but it was late and didn't see the sign on other doors indicating "No Smoking". Other than the smell, it looked clean. The continental breakfast was okay.

AmericInn is family friendly. They remember you and go out of their way to make your stay comfortable! Our family really enjoys staying there and we stay there whenever we go to Sioux Falls.

Quietest hotel I've ever stayed at. Once I was in my room, I never heard another soul. I could hear some vehicles from the nearby freeway I'm guessing, but it barely noticeable over the ac. Loved the showers! Breakfast had something for everyone. Hot tub was quite a bit larger than I expected, especially with pool size, which was decent. Stayed here for my honeymoon and enjoyed it immensely.

Clean, good price. Really clean and comfy. New tv's. Nice pool and spa. Store, theater, Ihop, bar and casino a short walk away. Great luxury base camp. My place while working in sioux falls.

Person at counter gave a competitive price without any significant haggling. Breakfast was nothing elaborate but quite good. Waffles, yogurt, donuts, bagels, breakfast biscuits and white sauce. There are cookies there during the day too, a computer to browse the net, along with unsecured wireless network to use with good coverage. Rooms are fine. Clean with a small fridge. Full lineup of cable channels. Large sized warm hot tub, decent sized pool that goes from 3-5 feet deep. No Sauna. There's a pool table at this one though. And some ancient arcade games from before 2000. Showers had very high pressure and seemed like they were putting out 5 or 10 gallons of water a minute. The handicap access room has a sit down shower and a bathroom that angles such that you can see the TV from the toilet. Never sat down while taking a shower before. I don't see anywhere that's falling apart like some other reviews suggest. I never heard much noise while I was there either, it was much quieter then the Best Western down the road and less expensive without using online discounts. The ability to keep the fans of the heating/air conditioning units running all the time was nice. I enjoy white noise. Overall I would stay again for the price I got. There's lots of competition in Sioux Falls for hotels so make sure to do some price comparisons and haggling no matter where you go. This is probably one of the better values for the money to stay at. Location of this one is excellent.
