Stopped at the Corn Palace on our honeymoon road trip and decided to stay in Mitchell for the night. This motel is clean, and our room was spacious. Room has Wi-Fi, microwave, and mini fridge. Bathroom was clean and had shampoo and soap. Beds were clean and relatively comfortable. Best thing about this place is the owners and their sweet black lab — the owners made us feel welcome, gave awesome recommendations for where to eat and go from Mitchell, and provided coffee and fresh donuts in the morning. For a roadside motel, this is a comfortable and clean place to stay. Also, there's a nice local grocery store close by that has hot, cheap breakfast. Best eat nearby was "Shakes n Stuff", which may only be open seasonally. Really wonderful staff there, nice place to meet locals, and DELICIOUS simple burgers. Overall, pretty great stay!

Very comfortable stay for an affordable price! The owner was very nice & helpful — he even gave our uhual a tow in the parking lot after a big snow storm. Pet friendly, family owned operation. Thanks Bryan! Highly recommend.

Management was very nice, rate reasonable, room was clean. Took a while for the heat to warm the room otherwise, will stay again.

This is a great place to stay. My family and I loved it. The man who owns it is awesome. My wife and I even got to see his beautiful black lab do tricks. "It was great" The room was nice and clean and very comfy thanks to the young lady working there for keeping them that way. I highly recommend the coachlight motel.

Clean and friendly. I stayed here the first night of a three day road trip. I liked it so much I booked it on my return trip and will book it again on future road trips. Great coffee!

Onsite manager was super friendly but the beds were hard and the room smelled of stale smoke but it was a great price for a one night stay with two pets. They gave us donuts and coffee in the morning I would stay here again.

Just stopped into this motel at around 9:00 pm with no reservations. We were very pleasantly greeted at this small family run establishment. When we got to our room we again were nicely surprised. For the price the room was very spacious, conveniently setup and very clean. This is the type of place we love to stop at. No frills or all those extras that you pay for and never use. Very refreshing to meet nice friendly people that remember how to treat others in this crazy, fast paced, sometimes unfriendly world that we live in today. Thank you very much and if we drive through again we will be sure to stay there.

Awesome large clean room. Especially for the decent cost.

Love this place! This was my second stay. They are down to earth. The rooms are simple but clean. I enjoy their dogs. A Lab and a Puggle. My dog was welcome with no extra charge. We ordered a pizza delivered to the room from nearby Marco's Pizza. The Italian sausage was fantastic! The motel owners had pamphlets in the lobby for local food and services. There is a convenience store and gas station next door. It is on a busy street but we didn't notice any noise. We parked in front of our room. FREE Wi-Fi and a nice TV too.

For an older motel in the middle of town, this property is in really good condition. The owners are committed to quality, cleanliness, value, and service. The towels had colour (a peachy ivory, instead of being an unimaginative white like standard hotel fare) and fit in nicely with a homey, welcoming decor. I felt much more comfortable here than in a standard "hotel environment" and would stay here again in a heartbeat. There are donuts and coffee provided in the morning, but no breakfast. With an in-room mini fridge and microwave, you can pack along your own breakfast or hit a drive-thru and still have saved money and had a better experience than your standard hotel/motel experience.

Clean spacious rooms, nice owner, wide pkg spaces, donuts & coffee in the a. M. Would stay here afain! Low rates too! Micro & fridge in room too!

Great, "salt of the earth" owners. Very accommodating. Older building, but kept clean. Family owned. Look forward to staying again.
