Parking is horrible. No luggage cart. Walls are thin. Breakfast is pathetic. Tub doesn't drain properly so you're standing in water while taking a shower. Towels are toddler size. A/C rattles. If you do your laundry here, the dryer on the right doesn't dry your clothes in one run. Ice machine sounds like it's on its last leg. Way overpriced.

The service is kind enough. The Wi-Fi is spotty and switches between two different routers. The bathroom really needs cleaned because the walls are stained black and red. The room is clean and nicely arranged with all the necessities. Theres isnt much room for a crib but it is doable. The AC in our room does not work, it acts as a fan but we weren't staying long enough for that to be a concern. Overall it was decent.

Yes it's an older hotel so yes it could use some cosmetic touches and furniture updates. It's a Super 8, not a JW Marriott so I have nothing bad to say. If you just need a basic room with a hot shower, I would recomend this place. If you're looking for chocolates on the pillows, I suggest you stop at the gas station and pick up a candy bar.

Not a bad stay. Was here for two days. Room was dated a bit, less than average air conditioning, but was clean and comfortable. I had to drop to 3 stars because I travel for work, the Wi-Fi was terrible & lost connection a lot. The pool was shut down… apparently for a while, but not a huge deal.

Affordable place to stay. Nothing fancy. But clean. Staff is helpful.

I was paying cash for a $90 room. They needed a $100 deposit paid by a card. Not extra cash or anything, she said she had seen customers go to Walmart and buy a card, and put the $100 on there and do it like that. I went a few blocks down to the Quality Inn, saved $15 by asking about specials and it was business as usual as a cash customer. The receptionist was very nice and accommodating at the super 8 east tho. She even asked her manager if there was anything that could be done.

Hotel is very old, furniture is old also in room, in bathroom old tub, looks dirty, bad smell, mattress looks new, no elevator, you have to carry your luggage up seven steps of stairs, no good if you have a bad back. AC unit in wall, very loud, small fridge don't keep food/drinks cold, no iron or ironing board in room. Don't look safe either for a female by themselves. Not safe for kids.

I still would stay at a Super 8 on any given day. The people are friendly and they are pet friendly too.

The room was not very clean and I don't think the sheets were changed. We got into the room late, so didn't check things out, but when I woke up, I looked over to see several long black strands of hair on the sheet! The sheets looked dirty! Gross! We have returned to Aberdeen, three to four times a year, for the last 14 years and have always stayed at this Super 8, but we've noticed a real decline in the upkeep of the rooms! We will not stay there again!

Very comfortable beds and clean rooms. Good free breakfast. The noise from the second floor is the reason for 4 instead of 5 stars. I could hear people moving around fairly loudly.

Rooms are not that great. The phone in my room didn't work. The water drained down the sink and shower super slow so it backed up quickly. Cleanliness was subpar and the outlet was behind the bed so you had to pull the need out to plug anything in.

The room was clean, beds are comfortable, the bathroom was clean. Everything was well stocked. Everything in the room worked just fine, the pool was very comfortable, the hot tub was comfortable, and the sauna was nice. All in all, it was a nice stay at the very first Super 8 ever built.

We stayed here 3 months bc I was in town for work and I loved it! Most of the staff were very friendly, especially Barb, Tyler, and breakfast host. Breakfast was very delicious and filling. I loved the room and would definitely come again.

Rooms are as clean as you'd expect for this level of hotel. Staff is friendly and willing to help. Breakfast is the standard waffle/cold cereal fare. As advertised in every way.

We're given a room that had a strong smoke odor, asked for another room and was given a room where the air conditioner barely worked. We ended up being charged for 2 rooms and no one can explain why. After 2 weeks was finally reimbursed one of the rooms (176) but they still don't know why double charge. We stayed multiple days and had to ask daily to get towels and garbage taken care of. The hallways have a strong odor in them and noticed our first night the non booked rooms were left open with windows open on our floor as if they were airing it out, so perhaps there was an incident. When asked about the rooms open and non of the doors on the building being locked if they were concerned about people simply walking in and staying in a room the front desk didn't seem too concerned. The 10 we saved each night is not worth this mess.

It was ok. We were put in a very cramped room. The bathroom had very little room for toiletries, etc. But the bed was comfortable and were able to sleep. It had an older television, which was surprising. They usually have the flat screen tvs. All in all it was ok for a night. Staff was very friendly.

Excellent service! Rooms are clean with fresh linens. Very friendly and courteous staff. Pricing per night is right on target.

Awesome customer service. Got a room discount and a free pitcher of beer simply because we were hunters. All of our crew will hear great things.

No extra power outlets, very dated and small rooms.

Smokey smell in all rooms. When will Hotel management realize that when smoking is allowed anywhere in a hotel, it will be everywhere in a Hotel.

I'd like to think this is a fluke incident — and I don't think I'm wrong in being upset with this hotel — but this hotel's operation blows my mind. This place was recommended to me by the South Dakota Film Festival — as a place offering discounts to people attending the fest. On the first morning there — I was jarred awake by seriously loud construction above me and outside my door at 8am. As I was attending the festival — I'd gone to bed late and was going to sleep late. Unfortunately that wasn't an option. When I asked the front desk for a different room — they were relatively helpless — and said they couldn't move me until that afternoon. Which didn't help me. The construction consisted of ripping out all the flooring and replacing it. So it was loud and it lasted all day. When I asked for the manager — I was told they didn't know when she was going to be in the office — but I was given a phone number. When I returned to Minneapolis and called the number I was given, the manager Tammy took my phone number saying she'd look into it and that "the construction has been hard on everyone. " and then never called me back. I just wanted my first night's money back — as for some reason they rented the room right underneath the construction — and I wasn't able to sleep while I was in the room I had rented. When calling the hotel back to speak to Tammy again — nobody knows when she'll be back. yikes.
