Great room for the price!

The room was ok. Seemed pretty clean, but definitely needed work. There were burns and holes in the bedding, and the bathtub was in really crummy shape. The location was decent. But lemme tell you their customer service skills are absolutely pathetic. As well as their paperwork skills. You would think being under new management and having so many negative reviews they might try to change their image but no, they seem content to keep their crummy reputation.

Reminded me of place that a horror movie would take place. Did not feel that I was in the safest place but they had a vacancy and we just need a place to sleep for the night. But it reminded me of like a place that would have cameras hidden in things so they could watch what goes on in a room. It could have just been because it was me and my son but kinda creeped me out. Bed was like laying on a bumpy rock and when we walked in it looked like someone who payed on the top of the sheets on the bed and left. Very old place and it shows but you get what you pay for. 60 bucks a night. But the front desk people even though they were a bit rough were very kind. But won’t ever stay here again.

I was very pleased with my room. It had been newly redone and was very nice. Very clean. Nice lounging chair to sit in. New tv. New carpet. New flooring in bathroom. All that would have given to give it a 5 was a better mattress.

Very friendly and helpful stay! Room was hot, because the air needed turned on. Was clean and had a nice pool.

Well, for starters as soon as my family walked in we saw roaches on the wall. Spider webs everywhere like nobody actually cleans there. Just makes the beds and takes the trash out. Dead bugs everywhere and swear I seen a live bed bug in a night stand drawer. It was hot even with the ac on. Hair everywhere on the beds, stains all over, cigarette holes on the blankets and chairs. Disgusting. We were in and out. Didnt stay the night and wasted $60.

Simple and adequate. Nothing fancy here. A place to sleep while visiting the area. Front desk woman was very pleasant and helpful. Will stop in again whenever visiting the Ashland Kentucky area.

Great location. Not to far from the main City area… Easy access right off the highway… Great night staff, very friendly and kind. Made us feel welcome.

It is what it is, a very affordable hotel, without the frills. I stayed 4 days. It offered what I needed: a bed, a shower, a TV, a fridge, and a microwave. Also, it seemed to be bug free. It wasn't the Holiday Inn, which I stayed in on my previous trip, but at less than half the price a night, I had to at least try out Knights Inn, and it exceeded my expectations. The woman who checked me in, initially, was very friendly. On my third day, the woman at the desk didn't quite know what she was doing, and tried saying I hadn't been there more than one night and that I didn't have a reservation for that night. It ended up getting fixed, but it was a little annoying and time consuming, and the woman was pretty condescending. On my fourth, and last, night, while I was away, the housekeeper's went into my room, even though I had the 'do not disturb' sign up. I didn't find it a big deal, though some people might. I understand that every few days, they do need to check the rooms, and I had the sign up my entire stay. Just beware of that. I can say that I will stay here again.

My husband & brother-in-law is staying there because there out of town workers and are responsible for their own rooms so one night I drove down to see my husband, The hotel is very dated the bedding NASTY is THIN and non-smoking room there were cigarette Burns I was surprised to see there was NO BED BUG protectors on his beds even though they had plastic sheeting for people who PEE the bed that's a big difference from bed bug protectors. The lady at the front desk was super nice the one night I stayed the room had cockroaches the beds are not the best it's more like a full size bed and THERE AWFUL THEY NEED NEW BED. Instead they need to exterminate for cockroaches and invest in new bigger queen beds I guess if you're on a budget go here one of my husband's employees piss the bed because they were drinking one night I was also told by the employees at the Waffle and several other locals just about 2 weeks ago there was a drug bust there though my husband and his crew has not had any problem bigger beds is always a plus and better bed sheets this Friday Morning 4-27 — 2018

Cheap, Clean, Quiet… had some minor issues, wasnt a big deal, older hotel and its showing its age… Great for the price.

Great little place for the price. Clean and the staff was great… Older hotel so had some issues, gap under the door, put a towel in the floor turned up heat, worked fine. A small hole in the wall no big deal. Small tv… who cares. But I thought it was great, but if your a high roller on a budget and wanting the Ritz, probably shouldn't stay here, but if ya want a clean quiet getaway, This is your place… I will return.

I personally love this hotel. The staff is awesome! I feel welcome and like family when I'm there!

Its a beautiful place to stay. Its near alot of places you need to go an it has a beautiful outside pool. My family loved it!

No frills. You get what you pay for. Front desk was very friendly. Had a problem with my card and they fixed it immediately. The room could use new bedding and some paint, but it’s very clean. In room coffee, refrigerator, and microwave. Sink has very little water pressure, but the shower is fine. Overall, I’m glad I made the extra drive here.

It was over priced for the quality. First room they put us in had bed bugs. But service was friendly and changed us to a new room in a different building without any complications.

Good quality, price, service… I really think the staff — from maintenance, desk, manager, and cleaning crew… All terrific people and provide great customer service.

Have family that just now at 3:00 am that had to get up get their money back because they was being eat up by bed bugs, they found live ones. They was in room 440.

When in Ashland I use only this hotel. There is no other hotel that I use. The staff are polite and very willing to accomdate you. They are willing to hear feedback on how to improve. If you just need a bed and a shower this is the place. Rates are resenable. I love staying here. I stay here everytime. It says you get breakfast which you do not. So that should be ixed but the Wi-Fi works great. I feel safe when staying here.

The rooms are clean and have a descent decor. The price is is great for a room that your just going to be sleeping in. There is no riff raff hanging around outside so it is safe.

Breakfast was very poor. Overnight only.

Horrible no Wi-Fi, left covered in huge red bug bites all over, 40+ bites.

Nice clean spacious rooms. Large parking lot. Clean pool. Good view.

The rooms were nice and spacious enough for me and my father and the dog to be comfortable and the smokers room was not in a bad shape like is sometimes common at hotels.

We have stayed a week and decided to stay the next week also at Knights Inn. The staff is very courteous and they have given us whatever we have requested. We agree we would stay again.

It was a place to sleep. I wouldn't stay there with kids or a family. However, as a man who was tired from driving 7 hours with another 7 hours left I was in the right place at the right time. Room has a recliner a desk and a bed plain and simple. As a bonus it did have a fridge and microwave. I'm not saying it's bad but just know it's nothing special. I paid 67 dollars for a queen size room. I gave me the sleep I needed. In addition there appears to be people (energy or construction workers) I assume living there. The people I encountered seemed nice enough as a man once again. I wouldn't want my kids or wife staying here though.

Love the employees there. They are so nice and understanding. Only one thing they need to do is to get new mattresses. Other than that, my hubby and I will return.

It's was south of town, quiet, and I got what I payed for. Sleep, and coffee in the morning.

The staff was very friendly and welcoming. The only issue I had was the room wasn't as clean as I expected it to be. There was candy wrappers in the floor and such and some other people staying there was outside the whole night yelling and being loud.

Had went down the hill since years ago very dirty and uncomfortable. Tried switching rooms but didnt make a difference and had to leave.

Quiet clean Wi-Fi could be better breakfast not a lot to choose from but overal it's great no issues.

I stayed at this DISGUSTING place April 2, late night, early morning of April 3! The smell was horrific, smelled like mildew so bad it would almost take your breath! I took several pictures! The frame around the door was busted (looked like it had been kicked in, (maybe from a drug bust), all the wood particles from it were still laying in the floor, you seen total light under the doorway! There was black mold everywhere on the bathroom ceiling, the faucet in the tub was crusted over with funk, around the air conditioner unit & electric outlets had duct tape around it, glass was out of the picture frames & the paper pictures were falling out. There wasn't even complimentary shampoo (I had forgotten ours when we left our house, in the dark), not that me or my 2 kids would even shower here. This was the WORST experience I've ever had at a motel. We were without power & my son was afraid to stay home & we didn't have a way to get ready for church the next day. This was the closest thing to home & church. I wouldn't even let my kids get in the bed without checking it out thoroughly & I didn't lay in the bed at all. This place is atrocious & how in the world it's still a open establishment is beyond my comprehension! Disgusting! Something definitely needs to be done about this place!

Friend of mine sent me pics of her room. It was nasty. I wouldn't recommend anyone staying here.

Room 229 had bedbugs never ever again in life and act like couldn't get a refund.

We just needed a place to rest and prepare for next day drive. But the RAT dragging something across the room floor was enough to know its not clean and not healthy to stay here KEEP DRIVING! Management (Donna) response to us was "they only caught a mouse in here since we left and have to get owener approval to offer refund "

The bathroom light didn't work, the bed frame has a 2x6 boarded frame which I kept stubbing my you're on every 5 secs, the tub was dirty and had a used shaver head cover left behind in it, the wallpaper had holes in it. Not a good place at all to stay at.

Not bad at all. Not the greatest. After 10 hours on a Harley, the jacuzzi was awesome!

Dirty smells terrible the only good thing about the place was, it had a vacancy. And that's arguable.

Not much to like. My fiance and I were in the pool and I had my arms around his neck to keep from drowning, and we kissed a few times. Well the owner and a guest came to the pool and says "we have had a complaint about you making out and there are kids in the pool, so please stop. " These were the same kids who were left alone while their adult went off to get someone a tool box, and the mother was in her room not watching her kids. We should have complained about the people smoking and the kids hitting us in the head with a water ball they were throwing. Where was their parents then. Should have asked for a refund, but I was so embarrassed we just checked out. The owner shouldn't have said anything to us with a guest (the guy who left his kids alone in the pool) standing by him. The room was okay. But only 1 towel for 2 people, and it smelled kind of musty. If you just need a place to sleep its okay, but not for any other reason.

Great economy room. AC worked, room was clean. No complaints especially for a room this cheap.

Well, the guy at the front desk around 2 am was incredibly nice. But the room was like $52 with tax. I wasn't expecting much. You get what you pay for. No bugs, but we weren't brave enough to sleep under the blankets or sheets. The carpet was moist. In the morning when we went to shower, the hot water didn't work. It really isn't as bad as all the other reviews are saying. I went in with low expectations so I guess that's why I wasn't surprised.

The first room was filthy. There was trash everywhere. Would never say again. What a s#&t hole.

I haven't been there but I was calling around for a place to do my baby shower and the lady on the phone was soooo rude my 9 year old nephew was even stunned never will go there.

Only good points: fair sized double room and newer micro-fridge in room. Did not used pool but seemed decent and small. smelled like mold. Had to buy fly swatter because everytime I came back to my room there was flies in it from housekeeping propping the doors open when they cleaned. Breakfast was shrink wrapped snack cakes, warm juice, and plain bagels. Did not feel comfortable walking barefoot on carpet. but what do you want for $45 a night.
