Nice clean and huge………….

It was not clean. There was mold on the bathroom ceiling and people were smoking marijuana in their rooms with the door open. This is more like a motel than a hotel. People were living there also and walked around like they own the place. I reserved 2 Queen beds and we got 2 Full beds for 2 adults and 2 kids. We stayed here for a Soocer tournament and I wish I would have looked here at the reviews first.

The rooms were very dirty. Mold in shower and on the ceiling. The sink had grime under the edge of sink bowl. The coffee maker was dirty. The lamps were dusty. The lobby carpet was filthy. Very dissapointinted. I stayed at Comfort Inn in Millersburg OH the week before and it was so clean and fresh and welcoming — I was expecting that here and was extremely dissatisfied.

The staff was great but the amenities were awful! We booked because and spent $750 because we wanted a nice pool. The hot tub was yellow and the jets didnt work!

Hot tub and sauna did not work! Pool was disgusting couldn’t even see the bottom! Kids running wild in hallways and slamming doors!

Very welcoming and comfortable atmosphere.

This was by far one of the worst experiences we have had in an overnight stay. Staff was rude and unhelpful, COVID safety practices were not enforced, rooms were dirty and unkept, staff was uncooperative and unprofessional. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.

The beds were very uncomfortable and we were charged 250.00 after we checked out because they say our room smelled like cigarette smoke. Sorry we dont even smoke and plus the whole hotel had a musty smell to it anyway. The maids didnt give us more toiletries or towels either, I had to call to get some, they must have been too busy chilling out on their "smoke break" in my room. Oh they also left the window open! At least they tried to air it out for us I guess. This place sucks and it is about impossible to get through to amyone to try to get any issues resolved. Go down the road to the Best Western, I wished we would have.

Very nice room with a mini fridge and microwave. Comfortable bed and soft sheets. Staff very nice and helpful.

We travel a lot, so this doesn't come lightly. This hotel has the best staff of anywhere we have ever been. The front desk is amazing, and incredibly accommodating (Especially Luca! ). The people working the breakfast buffet are so friendly, and go out of their way to ensure you have everything you need. The pool, hot tub, and sauna are perfect, and always clean. This is the best value in Sandusky. Book here whenever you can.

There room I had stayed in was very muggy and smelled like an old basement full of mildew, which really messed with my asthma. On the bright side the breakfast was absolutely AMAZING! The hot tub by the swimming pool was very clean and the temperature was perfect. The workers were very friendly and polite. I would definitely stay again, just might ask for a different room that wasn't so damp smelling.

I reserved 3 rooms at this hotel for a party of 11 people. We were in Ohio to visit Cedar Point. I liked the fact that they had 3 beds in each room and free breakfast. Our room was clean upon arrival and there were enough toiletries for everyone. The beds were comfortable as well as the pillows. We checked in around 10pm and once we left our things in the room, we headed downstairs for drinks at the outside bar near the pool. The bar keeps were very polite and attentive and the next morning the breakfast was really good. They had a lot of options to choose from which was great for the kids. After breakfast, we went to both the outdoor and indoor pools. Ohio was a great experience for us overall.

My husband, son, and I were pleased with this motel. It was nice to have 2 pools, a hot tub and the outdoor tiki bar beside the outdoor pool. The ocean mural on the wall as you entered the indoor pool was beautiful and the paintings on the wall inside the pool were also very pretty. The breakfast was great with a lot of choices! The room had a lot of things that we used like a microwave, refrigerator, coffee pot and blow dryer for a reasonable price. We did need a larger bed for the adults since it was only a double. The only complaint I have is that there was litter, outside in the parking lot that wasn't picked up and there were 6 kids in the outdoor pool and the adult with them, left, and didn't supervise them. There are no lifeguards!

Enjoyed my stay. The room was clean and well kept for comfort inn. The free breakfast was enormous and had something for everyone. I was surprised by the large selection of breakfast items provided. Only issues was dining time from 630am to 930am. If you're not a morning person and don't get there by 930 you are locked out and unable to get anything except for the free coffee provided in lobby. I enjoyed the pools both indoor and outdoor. The outdoor one has a bar and music daily which is nice if you're relaxing by pool for the day. I do weigh the pools opened early since 10am is late if your eating breakfast at 630am. All in all I enjoyed my stay which was a 10 to 15 min ride from Cedar Point my main destination. I would definitely recommend staying there and can see myself staying there in the future.

Great front desk staff. The housekeepers were talking loudly in the hallway about “doing what they want” because “they won’t get fired”. Other than that everything was spectacular. Room was very clean. Pools were nice. The indoor pool has comfy seating so parents can allow their kids to have a hay day swimming and not have a sore backside while watching them. Breakfast was AMAZING. We will 100% be staying here from now on for our annual cedar point trip.

This was honestly the most awful places I have stayed. The towel cart is covered in black mold, the rooms are damp and have mold in the bathrooms. The state came to shut down the pool and hot tub while we were there siting many safety concerns. Said he wouldn’t let his kids swim there. The housekeeping staff hung up dirty towels and only changed our sheets after four days upon request. The WORST part is the front desk staff was rude and the management doesn’t show any concern now will they address the issues. I have never in my 40 years written a review, but I work in healthcare and if they were a hospital they would be shut down for good.

Loved that they had 2 pools. The outdoor pool was so warm that it didn't matter that it was a little chilly outside. They have a bar at the outdoor pool and our bartender was amazing. We only used the pools, but the hotel seemed very clean.

The room is just kinda dirty. Sticky stuff on the floor. Half the outlets don't work. The bedding is clean though. Lots of nice towels. Indoor and outdoor pools are very nice. Breakfast was pretty good too!

Stayed for 2 nights. Room was clean. Employees at front desk were wonderful and so helpful. Hot tub was like warm, pool inside was very cold. Breakfast buffet was great, but hours were too short.

Nice clean room. Polite and courteous staff. Room is a bit small for 4 people. It has a bit of a musty smell and the beds are only doubles.

We have stayed here quit a few times and loved it. We found2 good friends with the breakfast ladies and will miss them this year. We won, t make it this year. We come back because of them mostly. Good people. Tell them hi from couple from piqua please.

Very poor customer service. Stayed this past weekend and on the final day of our trip I woke up with bedbug bites. I called that same day to let the staff know to check the room for bedbugs so they can fix the problem and prevent a future guest from going through the same problem. I have a 5 hour drive so my friends and I left early and didnt get a chance to have staff check while we were still there. I called the next day to speak with a manager to follow up and the front desk staff said I had to call the next day to speak with a manager. So I called again and they sent me to the managers voicemail, I left my contact information explaining my concerns and it's been two days and have yet to receive a call back. At this point I'm not even upset about the fact that the room had bedbugs. They truly can happen in the cleanest of hotels. It's the fact that the staff doesn't seem concerned and aren't getting back to me. Very frustrated. I've never had this poor of a customer service at any hotel I've stayed at.

I loved the room service and the free food was awesome the rooms were nice and I loved the hot tub and pool.

We love this hotel! Took 2, 2 year olds and a 92 year old we had a blast. Can't wait to stay here again!

Room was nice and clean. Beds were comfy. Pool and hot tub were nice and clean. The only downfall was the breakfast. The biscuits taste old and sausage taste bland and old. It had my son stomach hurting until he threw up. Breakfast the second day wasn't much better. My son wanted nothing to do with it because of the day before. Would I stay here again? Yes because the room was nice clean and comfortable.

I've upgraded my review from 3 stars to 5 stars for excellent customer service. My room was changed closer to the front and had no bad smells and the room was fine condition. I also left my tablet in the room and the front desk employee packaged and shipped it to my home and I received it in less than a week. Thank you all so much. I will recommend this hotel to all my friends and family. Customer Service outweighs all other amenities in my book and your staff is amazing. The rooms were reasonably priced and we what we expected. The cleaning people took our do not disturb sign though and came into our room anyway. We have stayed here multiple times when visiting Sandusky. Probably won't mind returning in the future. The pool was nice and warm.

This hotel is beautiful. Whoever designed this hotel deserves a raise and a praise. The pool area is well painted, along with the hallways. And the Outdoor patio in every room was nice. Best of all the free breakfast buffet was S T A C K E D Boi. 10/10 would (and did) recommend to friends.

Stayed one night at this hotel on our way to Cedar Point. It is a convenient location; about 15 minutes away. This hotel is huge. There are two floors with multiple entrance points on both sides of the building. The front desk is not centrally located, it is at the front of the property at the main entrance. The accommodations were fine and what I've come to expect for a Comfort Inn. There were also an abundance of washers and dryers by each entrance available for use. The indoor pool and hot tub area was older but in decent shape but there were no clean towels and there were several dirty towels strewn about the pool area. There is an outdoor pool as well with an outdoor seating area and Cantina bar. The outdoor pool looked nice but it was too cold to go in. The bar was pretty well stocked with liquor but not a great beer selection. We didn't eat but they offered regular bar food. There is also an Italian restaurant inside the hotel but it wasn't open. The game room consisted of maybe 5 games. I originally booked a 3 double bed room for 6 people… a great option that many hotels do not have. After checking in, we went to our room, only to find that we were assigned a room with two beds. This room was at the back of the hotel, so we walked back to the front to find that they gave us the wrong room. So we rec'd the new key and all was well. After arriving in the new room, also at the very back of the hotel, the air conditioning unit would not work.

Comfort inn was surprisingly the best hotel I've been to so far. They provided us with everything we needed and more. Good food, great customer service, and a quiet, peaceful sleep!

Excellent place to stay just wished we had more time to enjoy the pool and all! I that it is smoke free! No nasty odors so I didn’t need to use my air freshener at all! Bartender was a great guy! Very helpful and even went out of the way for us to get our pizza sent down to the bar for us to pick up! The breakfast buffet (truly a buffet to brag about) was a welcomed surprise! The towels were soft enough, not stiff or scratchy. The shower head actually worked as it should in a good spray (for ladies who shave in the shower… you’d appreciate that)! Definitely will be back!

The place looks nice from the street but inside is a different story. My wife and I walked into our room and we're hit with a strong musty smell. The pillows had stains on them so thankfully we brought our own and bedding. Walls are paper thin and any little sound can be heard clearly. The room was "faced up" meaning that it was not completely cleaned since the last guest or guests. They simply made the beds and straighten up the room. There was hair on the floor and the room is very dusty. We tried to save $100 and stay here instead of the best Western next door but I guess you get what you pay for. Thankfully we're only sleeping and leaving. Not a pleasant stay.

Very nice, clean rooms. Comfortable beds. The breakfast was the best I've ever had at a hotel in the United States. I didn't have the time to check out their pool and other amenities, but they looked nice. I would definitely stay here again.

Clean, great shower (best hotel showerhead I have ever experienced! ), hot tub was nice but not comfortable for 2 people as advertised. I really liked the provided shampoo and conditioner, also. The pool was kinda small but looked clean. Poolside bar was a nice amenity, free hot breakfast was wonderful (lots of variety and delicious! ), We didn't eat at the restaurant but it looked decent from the outside. I saw an ice machine specifically for fish if that's what you were in the area for. There were a lot of nearby places to eat and shop. Staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms were soundproofed well. Hotel was very large so be prepared to possibly have to walk for a bit to get from your room to the lobby, breakfast room, restaurant, or pool. My only real complaint was barely enough parking.

I would definitely recommend this Hotel! It's close to everything, Cedar Point, Water Parks or a very short drive to African Safari Wildlife. The Room was very clean & Beds was Very Comfortable! The Staff was very Polite! I love the indoor pool & hot tub. The walls and seating was very Pretty & very Decorative. The outdoor Pool & Bar was great! The Bartender Mike was very nice & friendly. I got to sing with him when there was a Karaoke going on. I got to meet the Owner which he is also Very Nice! The Breakfast was Amazing… Every day it was something different & it was so delicious! Different varieties of Food to choose from, which was very awesome to have different food every morning then getting up to eat and have the same foods every morning. Overall I would definitely stay here again! Love love love!

Ants all over the room because no one had cleaned under the refrigerator or around the trim of the room. There were crumbs of goldfish left from the previous occupants. People smoking outside caused our room to smell like smoke, even after we called the desk about it. We were also no left extra washcloths or hand towels. Other than that, there is an excellent breakfast and the staff is friendly. Reasonable price, just wish it had been more clean.

I received great service from every hotel employee I interacted with. Christine and Dario were great. Accommodations were clean and well maintained. I would return to this hotel.

The Comfort Inn went beyond my expectations. It is a gorgeous hotel with many amenities. The rooms are average sized, but equipped with a wonderfully soft bed, a clean bathroom, excellent air conditioning and TV. Both of the pools are clean and we'll updated. Our room was conveniently across from the elevator which made bringing luggage up and down a breeze. The hotel restaurant was average, but we got a lot of food for a small price and it had an eclectic vibe. The staff at the front desk were pleasant and helpful. The free breakfast was ideal for free hotel breakfast and had a variety of options. Overall, highly pleaded and will stay again in the future.

The rooms are very clean, comfy beds and fluffy pillows. We had a double room and each bed came with 4 pillows instead of 2! Staff was very friendly and helpful. The lady at the front desk even printed directions to a restaurant we heard about. Excellent place to stay. Definitely staying here next year when we come back to Cedar point amusement park!

Had a really good stay with a couple friends. Stayed here during our trip to Cedar Point. Only about a 10-12 minute drive to the park, so very convenient. Service is friendly, rooms are newly renovated with soft beds and other new ammetities. Breakfast could be better, but I'll accept it. Would highly recommend this place to future Sandusky/Cedar Point visitors.

Staff was very friendly, when checking in, they noted that our room was close to the pool and it might be very loud and offered us a new room! Rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. Nice flat screen TV with cable. Outdoor pool was very nice but not enough chairs to layout on. The indoor pool was nice but smelled a bit off. The chemicals could have just been off. Breakfast in the morning was a nice bonus, lots of options and staff was present to make sure they are not low on anything. Also, hotel is only 10-15 minutes away from Cedar Point. Very nice distance from the park and has tons of restaurants near by.

I've NEVER had to write a review before, so I had to make sure I made one on this hotel. Now I'm NOT one to say this, but the Caucasian woman with the curly black hair at the front desk is a down right RACIST. When I arrived to check in the hotel, I walked up to her and said "Hello, how are you? My boyfriend and I are here to check in. " This woman looked at me as if I was from a foreign country of some sort. She looked at me for a very long time and continued to play on her computer. SO rude! Then the blonde haired woman at the front desk witnessed what happened and helped me check in instead. I will NOT be staying at Comfort Inn ever again. I've never experienced anything like this before! She NEVER apologized. She just kept staring at me the entire time the other woman was helping me. Now the rooms were great! But the pools smelled like old sewer water. The complimentary breakfast was good.

Rooms are nice and very spacious. Only thing is you hear everything. Very noisy. Seems the walls are very thin.

The staff was very friendly. The rooms were clean and beds were comfortable. The pool area is cleaned throughout the day. Check in and check out was easy. Will definitely be back.

The lobby was beautiful but I feel like they spent all their money there and forgot the rooms. The shower in the bathroom was really dated, almost confusing to work because of how old they were. The room we stayed in had two rooms separated by a door, but there was only one heater in the furthest room so to heat the main room we had to leave the door open which basically defeated the purpose of the door. When we asked the worker about it he did offer to bring us extra blankets, but with three kids and two families we were really looking forward to having the rooms separate.

I have stayed here many times over the last few years. I travel for work thru out 7 states, and this is one of my favorite hotels to stay at. I always get multiple rooms for weeks on end, and have never had a bad stay. All my workers also love it and don't want to stay anywhere else. The staff is excellent, the breakfasts are among the best. The rooms are newly remodeled and updated very nicely. The outside tee-kee bar is a blast, and the Baci Restaurant is one of the finest dining experiences you'll remember, and can't wait to come back to again.

They hotel was nice what I disliked was the poor customer service. When I came to check in the guy at the front desk was very rude. His name is tyler and he has no customer service skills. I don't know if he was having a bad day but it showed. My boyfriend and I were very friendly. He snatched the paper back from US when we got done signing. The cabana and restaurant were very nice and the staff was great.
