Horrible service at the restaurant. Rooms really run down. Looks like nothing has been kept up whatsoever.

The bar inside is awesome. Great bartenders and drinks and food are amazing.

The marina has great staff.

This place has good intentions. I would say the stay was mediocre at best, which is easy to get away with when your isolated with no competition. The food was great. However the rooms (I believe mine was even updated) need improvement. A huge selling point is a comfortable mattress. I was looking forward to sleeping in but instead my husband, my 7 year old, and myself were up all hours of the night and gone by 8am because the beds were HORRIBLE, and the pillows were HORRIBLE. I didn't feel safe bathing in the tub as it was dreary and outdated. The pool was nice and was our reasoning for going in the first place. The game room was eh. This place does have a ton of potential and would be great if the owner really invested into it. I would try the cabins but I probably wouldn't stay at the lodge again.

We are having a college student leadership retreat and the staff and facilities have been amazing!

January 2022: The common areas of the lodge and grounds are beautiful. The staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms need to be updated, but that was okay. I always check for bedbugs and was happy to see that they had the appropriate mattress covers. The problem was that the mattress was stained and had lots of hair on it. Whomever cleaned this room would have seen this when putting on the sheets. I was very disappointed. I would have asked for a different room, but we knew they were booked. Also, the bathroom ceiling had mold on it. Probably won't be back.

The room was not truly clean — found a daddy long leg spider in the bathroom. The sheets had stains on them. I asked housekeeping to change, they did but no masks were worn. The water came out rusty. There was a sound in our room all night; an odd bubbly sound. My family wanted to go home it was so upsetting. Went to dinner. It took an hour and a half. We were hoping the food would we worth the wait but it was not — The steak was old and tasted disgusting and my potato was cold. My one daughter had cold fries lukewarm burger. The other daughter cold potato and lukewarm pork chop. My granddaughter has a gluten allergy and her burger was on the wrong plate exposed to gluten which can be dangerous for her allergy also her Potato was cold no sour cream or butter. We asked for these things they never came. There was only one server and the restaurant was busy. I finally got her and told her about steak. It was removed from bill. I was given pie. She was totally overwhelmed, which was heartbreaking. There was no manager to handle anything. This night was for my 67th birthday. It failed completely. The game area was a mess. Trash can inside and out were overflowing. No one was doing anything. I got change from bar for machines. The pool had so much chlorine in it you could not breath. Disappointed. So disappointed December 29 2021.

Upon check in did not have hand soap, conditioner or bath gel, all empty bottles! If they want to use the eco friendly bottles then atleast check them, they were completely empty! Phone in the room did not work (wanted to call about these things, didn’t have cell service) and the Wi-Fi didn’t work, when telling front desk about the Wi-Fi they told us to get the password off the back of the Wi-Fi box, well duh, we did it wouldn’t work, but offered no other solution!

Nice and private! Excellent flavors from the kitchen! Zuppa Tuscana soup was delicious!

Great staff and also a great restaurant and bar at this property both with a great staff and food and drinks!

Small rooms, unclean rooms, resturant ran poorly, gift shop never open. Would not come here again.

Great place but way to high $209 a night for 2 people crazy it would be alright if food was included but it wasn't.

The grounds themselves are beautiful. It's the staff that is the problem. The manager lies, all but one person I've spoken to at the front desk in our family's many stays has been absolutely rude, and the cleaning staff don't know how to do their jobs at all. Last timebin the cabins I had to sweep the floors and find clean trash bags, as well as scrub what looked like months of grime off the stove and microwave before it could even be used, and the bed was covered in some kind of pet hair. This time even the shower was so filthy it had to be hosed down before use, so there has definitely not been any kind of covid-19 sterilization going on between guests.

Is very good place to relaxing.

Had a good time considering it is cold out with snow on the ground. Valentines dinner and the longe was great. Will definitely be back when warmer weather returns.

I love this lodge. It's a bit dated, but very well maintained and has done upgrades. Even with COVID, the restaurant was open with good (but naturally limited) options with a great view. The bar has great Pizza and pub food. Just a great lodge for family… really low key and great staff.

Beautiful setting nestled in a wooded lakeshore peninsula with a variety of outdoor activity opportunities. The lodge itself is gorgeous, beautifully maintained, and ample space indoors and out to enjoy the serene majesty of this place!

Xenia is the best manager. She always has a smile and it's always a good time. She accommodates any situation. Love this place and always look for the next trip
before checkout!

I had a small birthday gathering with my family! Very clean staff was very nice and helpful! This was the perfect place! Relaxing yet fun definitely would recommend!

The rooms are definitely in need of updating (and a good cleaning! ) and the whole outside could use a good power wash, but the views and location of the lodge is very nice. Unfortunately, with the lack of masks being worn by housekeeping and other staff (even though it’s required for guests in public areas-which also wasn’t followed), our family will most likely not be returning anytime soon.

Great place and friendly staff! They did a great job during this whole COVID crisis. The place is a little older and could use a little updating… but otherwise a wonderful family getaway! We will definitely be back! ❤️

I was here for a ladies retreat. The front desk staff is friendly and very helpful. We had 2 breakfast, a lunch and a dinner catered. The food was hot and delicious. The servers were attentive and kind. I'd highly recommend this place for a retreat.

We held our wedding ceremony & reception here in 2015 and they were a pleasure to work with. They helped us achieve our dream wedding but unfortunately they couldn't do anything about the rain that day but that's ok. We ended up having the ceremony in our reception area and they did a great job assisting with that change. The food was amazing. Several people we talked with told us that it was the best wedding food they'd ever had. I feel the same way and I say that because it's the truth — not just because it was our wedding. I'd be open to discussing this further with anyone that's considering using Deer Creek as their wedding venue. Everyone loved staying here because it was nice to have everything in one location and the amenities of the lounge, common areas, patio, nature, pool, etc. Were a very nice bonus. We just stayed here for our 2 year anniversary and the staff was kind enough to upgrade our room to a suite that overlooked the lake, left us a super kind note and cheese/fruit plate in our refrigerator. It's the little things like those gestures that will keep us coming back for years to come.
