The Crowne Plaza provided us a beautiful setting to rewind after a long day. The valet service was exceptional, and the front desk was an absolute pleasure to work with. Our room was very clean, and we enjoyed the full bar and restaurant on premise. Next time in Columbus, we’ll definitely look to return!

We were warmly welcomed at the front desk by an extremely accommodating staff. The bar and restaurant available were great to unwind at, and our room felt very clean and modern. The amenities were perfect for our trip, and we're looking forward to staying again the next time we're in the area!

Great, clean, comfortable hotel. The staff here were super, super friendly and accommodating to everything we needed. The beds were cozy. We were in town for a convention center event and the accessibility to the convention center was fantastic as well. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Stayed for Origins 2018. Very close to the convention center. There's actually a skywalk so you don't have to go outside. Room is nice. Shower has lots of pressure and room for 2 :) Did not use the TV and did not eat downstairs but there was a bar and cafe. The patio had an open fire and looked very appealing.

Stayed there for an event at the Convention Center, great location for that; however we tried to check in early and were told they were behind, come back at 3, we did, still not ready, need 45 more minutes. We had to get back to the center without checking in. When we finally got back they were rude and said, you romm has been ready, where have you been? The hotel was not what we cane to see! I asked for compensation and was promised a manager would call, that never happened either. They seemed unprepared for the crowd.

The rooms were very nice with clean sheets. The bathroom had two new sets of toilet paper, complimentary items, glass cups and clean towels. There were two outlets in-between the bed which was very convenient.

The stay was pleasant. I liked the option of not having my room cleaned daily in exchange for award points. The elevators were slow.

A lovely hotel to stay at. Courteous friendly staff and nice clean rooms. It's a great place to stay.

Nice hotel that is connected to the convention center. The rooms themselves are nice size. The lighting in the rooms could be better.

Very nice hotel. Beds and carpet are a little dated and show some wear. But, overall clean and a perfect location for events at the convention center.

Location is GREAT. Right across the convention center, walking distance to a lot of restaurants. Rooms are dated, ours smelled funky. There was no trash bin in the bathrom. Stuck in the elevator for a half hour (improvement over the projected wait of at least 45 minutes for elevator company to get there), and got a couple drink vouchers each in compensation. Bill was wrong so I had to go get that fixed at the crack of dawn because I had an early departure. Staff were pleasant enough, but that was SUCH a disappointing stay at a Crowne Plaza.

A hotel with a good location, but the rooms are pretty worn-out looking. The furniture and carpet look like they're in need of replacing, and the bathroom just looks dingy. My room didn't get cleaned very well, either. One bed had seeds of some type (sesame? ), that I mistook for bed bugs at first, scattered all over one side.

Staff is nice. The hotel could use some updating but otherwise not too bad. Would stay again.

My room had a smell of dead rodent some where in the wall near the bed. I used lavender oil to kill it. I'm giving 3 stars for location. Stop by the North Market for lunch, lots of choices and stalls to shop. About 3 blocks from the hotel.

Rooms are pretty standard. They are very clean and well kept. If you can, get 12th floor lounge access. If you are lucky, Yolanda will sing for you. She has an AMAZING voice!

Good service but not included breakfasts and room service prices are relatively expensive.

(See edits below) Did not receive turndown or towel service after 1st night of a 3 night stay. Requested service before leaving for dinner the same night only to return 4 hours later to find our room still unserved. Called desk to address the issue and the attendant transfers me to the restaurant… Call again requesting only towels and receive no service after half an hour. It is now 11pm and I've had to go downstairs to request these services in person. I've stayed at much cheaper establishments with significantly less issues/inconvenience. *UPDATE* After receiving a 4AM wake up call to my room (placed mistakenly), I went to speak with the manager (Angela). She was genuinely empathetic to my concerns and took every step to ensure I was accommodated and compensated. Because my stay is covered by my company while I'm attending an event here, Angela insisted on providing amenities and an upgraded king suite for me personally. This was an absolutely abhorrent situation and she turned it around entirely and then some. I will not get my sleep back, but I do have a renewed trust in this establishment.

I love The Crowne Plaza Downtown Columbus! It's a great location, the staff is friendly, and cozy rooms. The iHG Brands Elite Loyalty Program is amazing and free to join. I'm very happy to be an employee and a member. Come and experience home away from home!

Great location, about 10 mins from the airport. Rooms are nice, but somewhat outdated with worn sheets & bedding. Pleasant view of downtown & great casual restaurant (Max & Erma's) just outside doors of hotel.

Well where to start. Parking to ridiculous, pay and tip valet and your in and out all day, park yourself and your at the mercy of the deck for in and out privilege. Once inside the staff was extremely nice as I suspect they know what is in store for you as a geust. Elevators are sketchy and were in disrepair over half of my stay. Once I navigated the hallways of raised carpet seams (Almost tripped twice) and dim lighting I arrived at my room where my key card required me to swipe it 3-5 times to enter my room. After entering the room I was surprised to see every single light on and all of them had there own switch to turn off, no master control on wall had to go too each of every light to turn it off. Linens where clean and fresh and towels and supplies stocked. But the nightmare continued in the bath. The odor was difficult at best to deal with, and then I realized the tub was backing up from the room above mine. Mostly the odor issue. The sink plunger was jammed and stuck in the sink so no water would drain there either. Needless to say I asked for a change and was sent to a room where I found a rotting pot of? (Unidentifiable) under my bed. This is when I threw my hands up and said forget it I'm here and plan to attend a conference and won't be in there much. Suggest if you are willing to spend the cash on this place, go somewhere else. I will for sure next time.

Stayed in one of the suites on the top floor, rates are double that of standard rooms. Service was near impeccable, however, the hotel could improve in a number of areas. Elite status perks were unmet and no effort was made to rectify the missing componants of a high loyalty guest. Guest rooms are somewhat dated and in need of a refresh. Bathrooms were small with mismatched lighting and extremely low pressure shower stream. The water drained so very slowly as well. Beds were very comfortable and were the highlight of the stay. Breakfast was amazing, I highly recommend that you add this to your stay as it is a great value.

Good hotel in a wonderful location. The rooms are quiet and comfortable. The beds could use a rotation, they slope towards the nightstand. Max & Irma's is right next door so you can get your 1500 calorie burger and then stumble back to bed.

Severely understaffed front desk. Waited 30 minutes in a long line to check in. Even when I went past the front desk at 11:30pm there was a line. Only 2 of the 3 main elevators were working. Lines to use those too. Elevators should be high priority for 12 story hotels. Don't pay for their breakfast add-on to your stay. It is cheaper to pay for it if you decide to eat while there. They have fresh eggs station, but otherwise the food is comparable to free breakfast at Hampton Inn.

Good location, clean, typical of a business-oriented hotel. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Rooms are also very business-typical; most having 2 queen beds, flat-screen TV, and refrigerator (no microwave was available in the room I was in). This is a decent hotel, but nothing was extraordinary about it. Would stay here again if the price is right, but wouldn't go out of my way to book a future stay.

I have to say that that the staff is very helpful! We were there for a convention and they made it very easy on us. The rooms were on the small side and had some signs of wear. But they were clean and comfortable. We had a very pleasant stay!

Great location with parking right behind the building. Good brewery in walking distance is always a huge plus. Check in was fairly slow. The 3 star really comes down to the bedding. Bed seemed older, sheets were starchy and the pillows were tiny. Hard to find good bedding. I didn't book the room so I can't comment on price.

Great location. Connected by skywalk to the convention complex. Good beds. Clean bathrooms. Very reasonably priced room service. Small bar in lobby.

I am disappointed. With a Crown Plaza's, I thought it would be at least decent. The lobby carpet is dirty. The elevators are tarnished, it make creepy noises. The hallways on my floor has a terrible odor. The engery saving lighting in the hallway made the place unwelcome, cheap and depressing. The bathroom in the room has no fan for ventilation. The receptionist wore a blazer uniform that is too small and the buttons look like they are going to break off. Her nail polish was half off. What is going on with this place? I would not recommend anyone to come here if they do some serious remodel and reorganization.

Staff is great. There were a few slips the cleaning crew made, but nothing major. The price is reasonable, especially if you are there for something in the convention center. Even better if your event is in the north hall.

This hotel is conveniently located in downtown Columbus near the convention center. I stayed here while attending a conference. The rooms are comfortable and decently sized, and the staff is friendly. Breakfast is provided buffet style at the Max & Erma's restaurant attached to the building. There is a maximum of 2 complimentary breakfasts per room.

The curtains had holes and a rod in the shower was missing. The pool is closed and has been for about a year apparently. But it was clean and the room was nice. Staff was very polite and helpful.

The room was nicely decorated. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were clean and quiet. The staff was friendly. A very nice place to stay. Highly recommended.

The crowne plaza is okay, but for a 4 star hotel you'd expect a bit more. The beds squeak, the room is a bit dusty, and some electricity ports don't work. Other than that, it's your standard queen beds with a nice bathroom. Room service is nice.

Front desk was wonderful and very flexible. We needed to change our reservation around last minute and they helped us. The hotel is on the edge of being called dated — still not bad at all. Location is convenient, there's a good breakfast place next store. Wifi is miserably slow.

I wasn't there to spend the night. So I can't rate the rooms or the service there of. But I had dealings with the bag boys and reception. Everyone I talked to was helpful and friendly. Finding where to go was easy. It was very well labeled and has both curbside parking as well as a pull through with valet. All in all one of my better experiences with a hotel.

I stayed at the Crowne Plaza Columbus Downtown because I was attending an event for work. Everything was great from check-in, quick and easy. The room was great, although I didn't spend much time in it, it was very clean and welcoming. I did order room service from Max and Erma's and it was very quick and good. My best experience was with Valet Parking Desk, I had some different questions about having to go back and forth for my luggage, due to my meeting being in the morning and check out in the afternoon. Everyone I encountered at Valet Parking Desk was beyond accommodating and very helpful. I had a great experience and would definitely stay here again if I was in the Columbus area.

Upon walking into the hotel it was a nice atmosphere. After walking into my room however I noticed that the drapes were old and dingy the bed dress had stains. The bend the beds themselves had indentations as though the mattresses were old. On the upside the bathroom was relatively clean and the pillows did not smell like scalp so would I stay again no I would expect that they would do some type of renovation for the prices paid.

Central to lots of cool places downtow n. Rooms were will looked after and priced well. There is a pool and smallish workout room. Service was very good all the staff very friendly.

Had two queen beds, they were so uncomfortable. Also, housekeeping doesn't know how to clean up pubic/dark hair in the bathroom. This is the second time staying at the CP and both times there were disgusting hairs on the bathroom floor. Hotel staff were friendly.

It was nice but little bit old hotel. Room was spacious and comfortable but Internet was extremely slow.

Great rooms, reasonable prices and friendly service. The Wi-Fi unfortunately is worse than dialup so don't expect to stream media to your device. Otherwise it's my favorite hotel to say at in Columbus.

This was a wonderful stay! I attended a Safety expo at the connected convention center and this hotel proved to be the best place to stay. It was not too far from the action, but didn't have the conference walking through the lobby at all hours either. Accommodating and caring staff, comfy rooms, and a perfect location made this the best stay in Columbus!

We had a lovely stay on the eleventh floor. The staff was accommodating and very helpful. Comfortable bed, strange pool (good temp), and right downtown. Would stay afain.

Internet is slow and at times just drops out. The "convenient" plugs on the lights at either side of the bed are useless — don't expect to charge anything. Front desk staff could not more friendly or more uncooperative. Dare you to ask for a room upgrade. Max and Erma's room service will bring your dinner cold. The TV works, but aside from that the place is a train wreck. Next time I'm at the Hyatt across the street.

Rooms were neat, well-lit and well-kept. Service was friendly. The cafe and bar at the lobby is excellent and serves good late night food.

Attended a convention at this location. Decor is a little dated but worked fine for the event.

They are willing to meet the requests of their guests. Very satisfied.

I recently visited the Crowne Plaza to tour their ballroom for my wedding reception. Although I most likely will not reserve the ballroom for my reception, their basic rooms are very spacious and moderately priced. Great location (within walking distance) to the Nationwide Arena District if you want the nightlife or bar/food scene. The hotel lobby also has a late nite cafe and bar for snacks and light fare. Valet parking is $12 per night.

The staff was nice and willing to accommodate. The facilities are slightly old and could use an update in communal areas.

The restaurant next door was exceptional. The room itself was not as comfortable, it was cramped, no microwave, small coffee machine (no coffee offered in the lobby either). Myself being handicapped with my walking, did not have enough room between the two beds and the desk in the room. Our view was the pits, directly out of the window, to the left was windows to other rooms, straight ahead was a huge brick wall, to the right was very large parking garage, directly below was another roof top with fans, etc. We go to the conference every year at this time of year. This was the first time using this hotel. Maybe because we made it to the hotel late because of the work schedule, we received such a room. If my husband was totally tired out from work and traveling that day, I would of asked for a different room immediately. There was no coverage over their patio area on such a rainy weekend. It is very unlikely that I would use this hotel in the future. We had made reservations early and still ended up with a horrible room. Good luck on your visit to here, make sure you state that you want a room with a GOOD view. Would of asked for something different. Sincerely, Ron and Joyce 7th floor. Dripping faucet, dripping shower, no in and out privileges from parking garage, way overpriced.

It was clean, and the staff was helpful. Good beds, no bedbugs, quiet nights. Pleasant, safe part of downtown Columbus. A bit overpriced but I was paying for the indoor connection to the convention center. I would stay there again.

Decent, nice decor. I appreciate thay the soap provided is free of most chemicals. The gym is good but theyre missing five pounds weights and I don't like the elliptical machine. Decent breakfast but only if you are an honors member.

Worse service ever from the time you call to the time you leave. I've worked in the Hotel industry before and never were we so abrupt and rude to our guest. I almost didn't make the reservation but our conference was booked in there and our group wanted us close. But I don't care what I have to go to never again will I stay there.

We are not hotel snobs but here are the draw backs. There are 3 elevators (THAT ARE SOO SLOW! ) take the stairs down to level 2 and you can get to the lobby. They don't have cable TV and the channels they do have cut out like every 2 minutes for the half hour we were in the room. Its annoying and there is no TV guide info. The rooms seem updated except they didn't replace the carpets which feels dirty. Also the pool was less than desirable and hard to get to. There is easy access to the convention center and its fairly convenient to short north, restaurants and bars. The staff was friendly.

Serviceable, gets the job done. I will say that the Crown was certainly not an unpleasant hotel at which to stay. The Decor is nice, and the employees were polite. Being a bit younger, I was at times given some grief for using the areas that are "reserved for business people" But all in all not a bad spot. Perhaps it's a little pricey considering the competition's pricing — but I will say it was a hair nicer than the Hyatt. If you don't mind walking across the walkway to get to the convention center, and don't need the free food, and drinks offered at the Drury, then this is the place for you.

This was an absolutely deplorable hotel. The service was appalling, I think the front desk clerk was high. I caught him checking out my wife, and he just smiled and asked me if I was interested in a wobbly 'H'. I don't even know what that means. When we got to the room, the key didn't work, and the door handle was sticky. The room smelled like the ocean and there was a wadded up tissue in the corner. We left the room once, locked the door and when we came back the door partially open. I think someone stole my reading glasses, but when I went to report it to the hotel the same creeper was at the front desk and so I decided to let it go since they were cheap anyways. We checked out, sans one pair of reading glasses, got home and noticed what looks like a rash. I will never stay here again.
