Clean suites, extremely helpful staff. Emilio is the bomb. My stay while my son was in the hospital was outstanding!

Though showing a bit of age, this is a very nice for more than just an overnight stay. The staff was exceptionally courteous and helpful. The room was clean and accommodating with a full in-room kitchenette and in-house laundry facilities. I would recommend this establishment to anyone.

Bathroom wasn’t clean upon arrival. Urine in toilet. Hair in tub. Went to flush toilet and it didn’t work. Reported this and no one came to fix it. Husband worked on it and would flush occasionally. Plugged in cell phone and it blew a breaker. Exposed outlet above desk Staff very unresponsive. Very disappointed as we were moving our son into the university and already stressed. Planning on visiting Minneapolis a lot but will never stay here again.

Tried to book stay for 6 month contract I am on. Notified front desk that I wanted to go with the monthly rate but the person at the front desk didn't have the "password" to make the change and he was worried that it would charge all 6 months. I was told that my reservation was only til Wednesday but they would extend me til they could correct their computer issue. FF to Wednesday, I am locked out of the room, the guy at the desk knows nothing of the previous conversations or notes that were supposedly left. When I complained I was overcharged, the manager told me, that the rate for the initial reservation was what I would be charged. I explained the situation to another nearby hotel and they were awesome enough to correct your failure.

My girlfriend called and made a reservation at 10 a. M. On July 21st 2017. We ended up having a family emergency I called back around 12:30 to cancel that reservation and the lady who answered the phone was extremely rude. Just the tone in her voice was rude when she picked up the phone and answered it I knew this wasn't going to be a good conversation. I asked her if she would please cancel the reservation we just booked two hours prior. She said there was no way we could cancel it and we will be charged no matter what. She was extremely short and very very rude this woman does not belong work in customer service. I've managed a business for 24 years and customer service is number one priority for me and my business! All I have to say is I hope nobody else has to speak to this woman because she is very rude and very short and very inconsiderate of other people. This woman does not belong working behind a phone or any customer service in any industry not even McDonald's! This woman obviously hates everybody and she hates her job or she wouldn't treat people the way she treats people and I can't believe this company represents her and stands behind her and employees her. I will never make a reservation here again and I will tell all my family and friends and loved ones not to make reservation here. Update So I tried to call this woman back and I don't know how but every time I called it went straight to voicemail.

My daughter will be attending the U of M in the fall, and we stayed here during her orientation. We have now found our future accommodations! It felt safe, and it’s close enough to have a pleasant walk to campus in the summer, or a brisk walk in the winter! The rooms and kitchenette are nicely updated and clean, and the price was definitely right! Best of all was the staff! Every single staff member that we encountered, in our 2 night stay, was absolutely lovely! They …were helpful, courteous, kind! Definitely recommended!

Great location for when you have an to attend an event within the University. Also walking distance to a Target, restaurants, and bars. Rooms were nice and spacious. Having a kitchenette with a small stove and a large fridge was really nice to have. The bathroom was big and clean. The toilet didn't flush very well and you had to wait about 5 minutes to be able to flush again. Overall good stay for the price.

Hotel was clean and safe and quiet. Staff was extremely friendly and warm and welcoming. Rooms had more amenities than I'm used to. Location was perfect. I will definitely stay again if I need to.

Very friendly front desk. Hotel is decent, but a little "dormy". Not very updated, but it was a pleasant stay and reasonably priced. Special thanks to Anthony for being so welcoming at the desk.

Decent stay at this hotel. Price was reasonable. Ceilings in the room are really low and it could have been cleaned much better. Hairs from previous guests on the bed and bathroom.

Great coffee machine and ion water machine in the lobby area! I'm a coffee snob and skipped my usual coffee choice because the selection and smoothness of there brew was so yummy.

This is a very nice Clean! Place to stay im so picky bout hotel rooms but this place is actually a 10 in my book and I never have given a 10! It was so clean and worth the money will stay here again for sure.

I stayed here 1 night with family while we had a family member in the hospital. In the little time I noticed the staff is awasome. The rooms are clean and I love the location as it is easy access to highways, if I ever just need a get away this will be my first option. A+ to the kitchenettes and to the friendly staff.

Lovely visit. Wasn't here long enough to form a really good opinion. But from what I saw, staff was very friendly and knowledgeable and helpful. Overall a good stay.

Great little place, especially for extended stay. Kitchenette is a great bonus. Wi-Fi a little week but overall this is a great place for the money. Staff is great too.

I stayed here last night for a concert at the Varsity Theater. By far the best hotel I think I have ever stayed at! Nadia was absolutely the most pleasant hotel employee I have ever encountered. The rest of the staff were outstanding as well. Very courteous, professional, and welcoming. Will definitely be staying here again! Also, worlds best hotel coffee is here. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay when in town! Five Stars.

Great location, looks like the rooms are newly renovated, however, the service was absolutely terrible. If you are looking for hospitality & customer service, this is not the place to go.

Spacious room. Comfortable bed. Large, clean bath. Nice kitchenette area. Close to school and light rail to stadium.

Easy walk to downtown no street parking in this area but there is a parking lot for the hotel. Rooms are basic and ours smelled like smoke especially in the bathroom. Older hotel and could use some freshening up, also know it’s in the middle of fraternity houses and area is full of drunk students being loud on the weekends. Price is reasonable. Staff was great!

I went there for an interview so did not see any rooms, but the front desk and lobby looked pretty good and well maintained.

Good location. I booked two double-queen rooms and was issued single queen rooms. Then instead of giving me a credit on my Visa, the inept hotel staff, charged my Visa again and refused to listen, even after I supplied them, all the necessary documentation. Also, we tried to check in at 2:00PM and they wouldn't let us, because check-in time wasn't until 3:00PM. It kind of messed up our whole plan. There are much better options, for hotels, in Minneapolis, for a lot less money and courteous, helpful staff.

Great location, right off the freeway. Easy to walk to anything downtown. Room has lots of amenities for an affordable price.

It was an alright room. I'm a relatively tall guy (6'3") and the beds were a bit short, same with the ceilings. It also really feels like it used to be a college dorm. It has a setup of being able to stay for weeks if u need to, but for what it's priced at, I would suggest somewhere else.

So pleasantly surprised with this place! Super clean, accessible to Target and many other places and the staff are amazing! We especially loved the Assistant Manager Nadia! Highly recommended!

Excellent value! Very clean and comfortable, updated hotel, friendly and helpful staff. Our choice for Minneapolis, good walking neighborhood, close to dining, easy access to downtown. In the last couple of months, we've had two amazing 3 night stays here.

I stayed here for work at University of Minnesota Hospital. Very good location, waking distance from many restaurants and a Target. A HUGE cost savings compared to the other hotels in the area and the rooms were still pretty nice. No breakfast, pool, fitness center, etc. Though. I stayed here because everything else was booked out or overpriced but I would probably stay here again next time I'm in town.

From the outside it doesn't look like much but once you come inside you see a while different building. It seems meant renovated and the receptionists are really friendly. Guest lobby even has games to play to pass the times.

The room was decent size and clean. Could not hear outside noise at all. The front desk was friendly and helpful. It is just about perfect for a dinkytown hotel. Everything we had hoped for and better than expected, we definitely recommend the University Inn.

Clean, affordable, decent location for enjoying Minneapolis and St Paul. Kitchenette is a bonus!

I don't have much to say, needed a place to get some sleep and they provided. Place includes a nice mini kitchen in the rooms which is a great plus if I intended to cook.

Everyone was very friendly and helpful. All was clean, loved the kitchenette! Quick and easy to get places around town, easy to find too. And the coffee machine in the lobby is awesome, your own mini Starbucks!

Nice location, close to the highway. They have free parking, room was clean and service really nice!

We stayed in a room that was alright. It almost feels very much like a dorm room, which coming from a college student, I was ok but my family was not. The beds were too small, but they dealt with it. On the last morning we were there at the hotel, it was around 7:40 A. M. And our phone in the room rang. My mom picked it up and there was no one there. It rang again about 2 minutes later and still no one there. She called down to the front desk and they said that they were outside doing a parking lot check and that it was probably just her phone inside dialing random numbers. So after my mom hung up, about 4 minutes later, the phone rang AGAIN! She proceeded to call the front desk again and they sounded very surprised and said that it wasn't them then that was calling because they were inside now. So my mom hung up and we unplugged it from the wall. I would highly reccommend going somewhere else! This isn't worth your money! Unless you want to be woken up at 740 in the morning for no reason!

Honestly very disappointed. Charged an extra 50$ to my bank account after I had checked out and have the receipt to prove it. I was to be charged 329.01 and did indeed pay the 329.01 happily to be out of this dump. The water from the faucets is grey/brown/yellow, not safe to drink or shower in, there were icicles hanging from our heater inside the room 22, the maid service was horrible, never brought us daily necessary agreed upon usual amenities (soap, shampoo, conditioner, towels. ) even though they demanded that because I had a emotional support animal with me that I could not use my do not disturb sign, the manager said they had access to my room any time because of my service animal who was forced to be kept in a cage, in which she has never been forced to be in before because according to the ADA and FHA service animals are privileged and I feel very disrespected and will never be back. This was a very different type of Inn, for me. It was like I was sharing a building with college students. Ha haa! But the attendants was so nice and it was so easy to get what I needed from her and him. It was weird that you couldn't just walk in without getting buzzed in if you were trying to check in. But the rooms were so nice and comfy. Even in the cold November, my sisters that stayed with me, had the AC on and the blankets were so super comfy and warm that I couldn't even feel the cold. The rooms come with a refrigerator, stove, microwave, sink and dishes. SWEET! I'll definitely go back there if I'm ever going back to any events in dinky town.

Got into Minneapolis late and went to check in and found that even after paying for the room in advance and securing the room with a credit card they gave away my room. The girl at the front desk kept apologizing but couldn't really justify why they would do such a thing. She said since the reservation was thru a 3rd party, there was no guarantee that I would show up. It was paid for, your still getting your money. Hotel with dumb policies. So they sent me to the Marriott Court Yard which was amazing. So explain how a hotel can stay in business when I book a room for 110 a night and they end up sending me to another hotel for 229 a night and have to refund my money. You folks just keep up the good work. I would not recommend this hotel for there absurd policies.

This is one of the best deals price-wise you'll find near the UMN. Clean and on a corner with a few bus routes. Kitchenette is helpful. I booked about 1.5 weeks in advance for $85/night (2 people), but you can get it cheaper if you look ahead of time. Internet isn't good — tether your phone or something. Or ask the staff. I didn't bother b/c I was only there 2 days. It's probably fine if you use the ethernet cable they provide.
