The owner is a bad businessman and not honest.

We were charged an extra $250 on top of the $130 we paid for the room. The charge was on our account immediately as we checked in. I assumed it was a hold until it cleared the bank. Nope. Owner claimed we left cigarette ashes in our room and needed the $250 for damages. This is a total utter lie. We do not smoke cigarettes and most definitely did not do so in the room. Our child was in the room. We arrived late and left early to be charged $380 for a substandard room. We have called to ask why we were charged extra and have been treated poorly and aggressively. Do not stay here your financial information is not safe here. And for what it’s worth I rarely leave reviews. I’m a champion of small business and do not leave revenge via a review. But I feel others should be warned this is not a safe place.

The owner of this establishment is a RACIST! He kicked me and my children out after I paid for a room. He said that I didn't pay for a larger room to have kids there. I offered to upgrade the room so that way my kids could stay and swim (they were already in the pool by this time)
He then proceeded to tell me that kids weren't allowed in the pool or hotel at all. I asked him could he show me that ANYWHERE in writing. He told me no, he didn't have to. I then asked for my money back and he told me he wasn't going to do that either. I literally had to go get my kids out of the pool and leave without my money. It broke their hearts. This man is an absolute RACIST! This is not the last he'll hear from me. I promise that. If I could give this establishment 0 stars, I would. DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY WITH THIS MONSTER! There's a Holliday in right down the street.

Slightly older hotel but nice place for the price. Clean and decent furnishings, not outdated. Pool looked clean but we didn't have a chance to use it.

Leena, receptionist at front desk, was a Godsend so us♡ She is a wonderful asset to this establishment! Our room was very clean as well as the whole building. Yes it looks a bit old from the highway and it does show wear but the whole building looked very clean and at a wonderful affordable price! We had a very pleasant stay as we were on a motorcycle and had the crappy Days Inn down the road cancel our reservation, do not stay there ever!, and had a severe thunderstorm minutes behind us. I called here and a very nice lady, Leena, answered the phone and told us to come on over that she had a room for us! We were so thankful that she did have a room and went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable! So nice to have a nice person in reception after being treated very rudely at the Days Inn down the street! Thank you for a wonderful stay, clean, comfortable, nice continental breakfast, refreshing pool and hot tub, at a wonderful affordable price! We will definitely be back to the Rodeway Inn in Red Wing, MN. ♡

Clean but quite outdated. Wallpaper in bathroom peeling and minor mold on the ceiling. Non smoking room but very smoky hallway. Room door and bathroom door VERY hard to close. Night deadbolt did not engage. GFI outlet extremely loose. Illegal 3 way outlet splitter in use. Disappointing continental breakfast but good coffee. AND when I checked out was not asked about my stay. Stayed there july 28th 2018

Location was a little hard to find. Room was well kept except for the shower curtain. There was a little mold on it, but the service was acceptable.

Slept great, didn't hear anything room was nice enough bathroom small. Breakfast, well nothing hot. No elevator. Thanks.

Clean rooms friendly staff. Decor is somewhat dated. Be sure to check that your room door closes and latches on its own. Some of the doors seem to close but actually don't latch and can be pushed open. Make sure you hear a click if you want your room to be secure.

Smelled like stale cigarettes. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was ok not great.

No one to be found when we needed towels for the pool when we could only find ONE towel. Whirlpool room lights did not work. The lights were bent and hanging funny in our room. The bed was very uncomfortable and we found blood on the pillow and blanket. We will not be staying again nor will we suggest anyone else to stay.

Outstanding good time! Clean rooms stocked with all the necessities, great pool and hottub facilities, comfortable location near marina and pottery museum, and above, friendly staff that helped to make my visit to Red Wing truly unforgettable!

The good things first, nice, firm newer mattresses and bedding and winter plug-ins for your car, the room was clean with a decent refrigerator & microwave… then the less than good, very dated decor, three tables with chairs under stairs make the breakfast room offering a few cold items only, a towel bar was pulled from the wall my the room & you have to choose a lamp or the microwave because the few outlets are in use, no coffee pot or ironing board in the room, the pool area appeared clean, but was uninviting, they did not give me the room I requested & to get that room I was going to be checked out & back in at a cost of an additional $50, typically when simply switching one room for another of the same type other hotels just reassign, it was snowing and there was a minor attempt to shovel the entry and the one luggage cart for the entire hotel is very small, bent out of shape with a broken piece… personally, I hope on my next trip to town I'll find a room at a different facility…

Room was nice and clean. Bed was very comfortable. Nice place to eat across the street. Can walk to get there.

The rooms were clean, staff very friendly and accommodating. The only problem I had was a technical error with room keys not working correctly.

Damp. Both the room and bathroom doors were swollen and hard to open / close.

Good, simple rooms. Not fancy, but secure and comfortable. A bit difficult to get to once it's found, especially if you're not familiar with the roads.

Nice quiet place. Nice rooms with microwave, fridge, decent size flat screen TV. They have a swimming pool and a decent breakfast. Within walking distance there is a Mexican restaurant and a German restaurant with a bowling alley. I would stay here again!

Hotel was in a decent location near the expressway and not far from stores, eateries, etc. The hotels options for their 'breakfast' was horrible. Not too many options or virtually nothing at all. Seems like the room are in the process of being remodeled. The shower head in our room was outdated amd barely worked properly. The owners are very nice people. Next time in town Ill try Nichols Inn.

Had a good night stay, but a little outdated and parking lot was very icy.

We called about three weeks prior to our one night stay, arrived with a confirmation number and were told our room had been booked for both the night prior and the night requested so our room was cancelled. We were told that our booking agents' name was Madeline and the woman that helped us was pretty rude and basically told us to sleep in our car. Would not trust showing up here and expect a room.

Price charged at check in was 40.00 more than what was quoted and agreed upon at time of booking. Better off sleeping in your car.

There's nothing particularly special about this hotel, but it's nicer than it looks when you pull into the parking lot. Rooms are clean, beds are comfortable. I'd stay again.

I don't know where to start. The positives: clerks were friendly and accommodating, we had booked online and did not realize that you could still smoke in hotels here. With our two children we did not want a smoking room and they clerks were able to flip around some rooms so we could have this. That was the only good thing during our stay. The negatives: The rooms all have a funk to them and the halls reek of stale smoke. The paint on the ceiling of our bathroom was peeling and there was mold buildup in the corners. Half the lights were burnt out. The shower itself was designed for a person under 5' tall. The pool was super cold although the room was very warm. Under the chairs in the pool area there was more cobwebs than I care to think about. The beds… Quite possibly could double as torture devices they are so uncomfortable. The "microfiber" sheets smell like used tires and feel like rotten sponges. Had there been anywhere else available I would have cancelled and stayed somewhere else. If not for the friendliness of the clerks this would be 1 star…

We asked to see the room first, THANKFULLY. The desk guy guy was nice, but there were cockroaches in the sink and the non smoking room smelt horrible. Will find somewhere else for the night.

Nice, quiet, very clean room. The hotel is near the highway, but tucked back a little and quiet.

My stay started out as a struggle, not in any part due to the hotel. Expedia is NOT a site to book a hotel room through. Upon entering the hotel to check in we were told our reservation was for the following day. I knew for a fact I had entered the correct day while booking, Expedia changed the date without my knowledge. Amber, the assistant manager, was wonderful. Right away she informed us of their policy with Expedia and instead of leaving us high and dry, or even making us double book, she worked with us to correct the situation. Amber went WAY above and beyond to make sure I was fully refunded from Expedia and got us in our room without being charged double. In fact, she got us a better deal than Expedia. I'm so impressed with her customer service, I would recommend her for any customer service position actually! Once checked into the hotel, we found it to be nice for the value. The whirlpool was clean, as was the room. The breakfast was fresh and clean. Thank you Amber for turning a negative situation (not in any way by her own fault) into a positive one!
