A huge summer storm came in so we got a room as more rain was coming. We parked our 2019 HD Ultra Limited under the huge over hang for protection. We parked it so people could EASILY enter the hotel. We were just told to move it. We have NEVER been asked to move our bike at any hotel/ motel and we've been riding for years. I asked for a refund and then we'd leave, we've been here just 2 hours and was told no. Be aware if you're riding a motorcycle.

You allow pets to be left in vehicles in 79° weather, storm coming, because the pet owner wont pay the pet fee… your desk clerk calls the people which were eating in the restaurant and tell them the police were going to be called, I confronted the gentleman and told him I wanted to pay for him to take the dog inside, dumbfounded he stood there. He said how did the hatch get open, it was like that when I walked by, when I walked back by is when I said something to your clerk. She knew exactly which vehicle it was and even came out there…
people that dont deserve pets…

The mattresses sagged and had holes on the corners where you could see the springs! This was at the Comfort Inn in Albert Lea Mn. Very disappointed in our stay there and wouldn’t choose to stay here again.

We have been here several times for reunions and never is a value. Staff seemed unconcerned by any problems when they are booked. We were suppose to be getting a group discount? We dont plan to stay here ever again.

Honestly, this is the worst Comfort Inn we've ever stayed at. Thank goodness it was free with points. For $180 a night, you would expect much nicer (a Comfort Inn in Omaha that is much nicer is $100). This place is kind of a dive. The room stunk of cigarette smoke (even though there is a sign in the room saying it's smoke-free), the bed was super uncomfortable, the shower curtain is awful so there's a pool of standing water in the bathroom, there is no bathroom fan, and the lighting is the worst I've ever encountered. Might be great for vampires, but normal people don't appreciate this dim lighting. Seriously, there are 20-40w CFL (eww) light bulbs in every fixture & in the ceiling, except for the bathroom, which of course can't be used to do hair & makeup because of the standing water. I had to just do my makeup in the car. I had to sit on the floor to do my hair, which was made even more difficult due to the fact that the outlet by the mirror is damaged, so the cord wouldn't stay in. We most definitely will not be staying in this dump again. On a positive note, the staff is really nice.

I have stayed here many times. It is one of my favorites. Admitedly part of that is it being about 8 hours from my house, so when I'm on road trips it's a good stop. Its always clean, the staff is always friendly, and they don't give me trouble for a late check out or filling my travel coffee mug on my way out. They are right next door to a Viking themed bar in a Viking themed rest area, which I also love. The bathtubs seem to hold water, which isn't the given that it sounds like it should be. All around, a good experience.

Stayed for one night with our toddler while on a road trip. They offer a discount for veterans (with proper ID). Very clean room, bathroom, and common areas. Extremely comfortable beds. Fast Wi-Fi. Good breakfast options. All the staff we interacted with were friendly and professional, especially Tom Laite at the front desk who helped us book our stay (with a screaming toddler in the background) and checked us in when we arrived. The hotel was nearly at capacity, and it was a Friday, so there was some noise from kids in the room next door, but it was easily blocked by the hum of the A/C. Thank you for a pleasant and clean stay for a good price!

Convenient to the interstate, good hot breakfast, nice and quiet. Rooms look like the rooms have been remodeled fairly recently.

The location is convenient. It is right off the freeway. Rooms are clean. The staff is extremely friendly. We are repeat customers.

I arrived very late but the lady at the front desk was very helpful and got me checked in quickly. The room was nice and clean. There is coffee in the room and a continental breakfast in the morning. For an overnight this is a great place.

Great place, nice showers with good pressure. Restaurant service was awesome and the best ribs ever found at a truck stop.

Really appreciated the kind and courteous staff. The room was comfortable, clean, cozy and very much what we needed after dealing with the elements. It was especially nice to watch the blizzard from the hot tub. Breakfast was a great start to our day. Thank you so much. We will stay again when we are through.

Enjoy the pool time, hot tub was nice, breakfast was good, rooms were clean, only complaint was the heater fan never shut off was very loud made it difficult to sleep.

We made an unexpected stop here to get some sleep. It is a very clean newly updated hotel. Very welcoming staff.

It was fine if you can't afford better, and it was cheaper than it was for us. The pet policy was different than other locations we've been to. I would definitely think about another local hotel before staying here again.

Very friendly staff, clean comfortable rooms and a reasonable rate made this a great stop. I've certainly stayed and paid at higher end hotels and would rather stay here!

I stayed on August 11 thru the 15. Rooms were very large and nice and clean. The Hotel staff was very nice and friendly. I was having trouble with my truck and I call them and said I would be very late checking in on Friday and they said no problem. They even tried to help me find a place to work on my vehicle. After all the trouble with my truck I had it was nice just to walk a few feet to the restaurant in the truck stop to eat. The food was good and the price was decent for the amount of food you got. This is the second time I have stayed there and I distantly WILL be back!

Easy to find and get to. Lots of parking. Staff was pleasant and friendly. Breakfast was hot, fresh, delicious and restocked often. Room was very clean, including the filter for the air conditioner. Beds were comfortable. Water pressure was excellent. Pool area was clean, enjoyable and fully stocked with pool towels. Directly outside of our room was a sitting area and then the front desk and across from that the breakfast area. We were not disturbed even once by noise. I was surprised to see people in the sitting area and breakfast area when I opened my door because we didn't hear any noise while inside our room. Accompanied by two little ones so this was greatly appreciated. I do recommend this hotel and would not hesitate to book again if in the area and need a place to stay.

Nice clean comfortable bed & room, It looked like it was a fairly new hotel but I understand that it has been updated. The staff were very attentive. I did comment to the desk clerk about the group sitting around outside with a case of bud light, apparently they were guests, contractors working in the area, did not give a good impression of the hotel. Could have told them to at least move away from the lobby area.

Very clean, very affordable, the pool and hot tub were really nice. Good continental breakfast. My only complaint is that they need to expand their cable TV to offer more channels.

Very clean and nicely updated. I know it's an older hotel, but it was very freshly decorated and recently redone so it did not have that threadbare, dated appearance so many older properties get. I could smell fresh paint. The Comfort Inn is likely the best part of Albert Lea.
Judging by the rest of my experiences, services for travelers seem to be a total after thought, odd considering it's at the crossroads of so many highways and interstates.

The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good, and the lady attending to food was very efficient and ensured everything was fresh and not all dried out the way some can be. Accommodations were clean. A bit outside of town but was only an overnight on the way.

Good breakfast and clean place hot tub was a little too hot. But pool was nice.

Love this motel good memories there with family having fun swimming. My fav motel in Albert Lea MN and good breakfast and right by truck stop which is awesome.

I gave 4 stars because our room was very clean and comfortable. Unfortunately our check in experience was odd/uncomfortable. The lady at the desk was on the phone when we arrived. I waited patiently for 20 minutes! During that whole time she just kept talking and never acknowledged me. By the time she got off the phone. My husband had already used the restroom, made 2 trips to the car to get our luggage, and there were 2 others in line behind me. She was nice when she did help us, but it was a long awkward wait. Also, I read a review that said that the breakfast was above average. It was not. The eggs and sausage were gone when we got down there. Again I waited about 20 minutes. My husband had already finished his waffle by the time they came out. Unfortunately the wait was for eggs and sausage that I didn't want to eat. The sausage looked very gross, so I didn't even try it. The eggs where definitely made from a bag and microwaved.

The gym equipment needs some fixing / updating. The breakfast buffet has not as many choices as previous years. Staff is friendly. Good location.

WORST EMPLOYEES/ MANAGER I HAVE EVER HAD! I called the Comfort Inn today to make a reservation for a two rooms for my crew members to stay while we do a job in Albert Lea, MN. The (little girl) that answered the phone was beyond rude when I asked to reserve a single and a double room she asked me "what is that" follow by "who are you anyway"? I told her my name and my business name she started talking to someone else who then took the phone from her. He asks me straight away if my employees were LEGAL workers! I have been in business for 55 years and have never been asked this question but yes they are all LEGAL workers! He then tells me that my guys would not like their rooms because " they are not up to par"! This "manager" and the "little girl who answered the phone" are the most unprofessional rudest employees I have EVER HAD! STAY AT YOUR OWN RISK!

The rooms were quiet and nice, if a little cramped. Our room loved right over the trucks parked for the night at truck stop next to it and we were unfortunate enough that a few of them were chaining their loads down at about 5AM so we woke up quite early. The hotel staff was pleasant, informative, hard working, and very understanding. The food is what you'd expect for a hotel breakfast and they had waffles, eggs, breads, cereal and sausage.

I found several roaches in my bathroom, the staff was very argumentative and when I call her about the insect to show her, she said I'll be right up, she never came are set anyone else. I tried to get my money back with no success. My family will never stay here again. Never sleep with bugs.

The room was clean and neat very nice place but the fact that I'm typing instead of sleeping at 11:55 at night is because I've had to call twice to the front desk about the people on the floor above me destroying the room and I'm pissed because they tell me that have to get another room wait I'm the one paying for a good night sleep obviously the family up stairs wants to fight and stomp the floor and yell maybe they should get another room I payed for an over priced rate for the services and location I should be reimbursed for my troubles but I was only asking for the guy named Patrick who claims to be management to ask them to stop but to be told I have to get another room really makes me frustrated I will never stay at comfort inn again I've never had this kind of treatment at other hotels I guess it's always that one time you stay at a different hotel than your regular clean and quite place.

Staff very friendly and accommodating! The pool was very cold! Kids were in fact running around outside in the snow then coming into the pool so the water temperature was more bearable to swim in. That was disappointing since we chose our hotels based upon the pools for the kids.

Love the fact it is right off the interstate. The pool area could use a nice thorough cleaning. They did shorten the breakfast hours to 9:30 on Sundays. It is nice to have the fridge and microwave in every room.

Good location right off the interstate. Stand back far enough I don't notice the highway. Good room at a good price.

Great property! Comfortable rooms and great service. I arrived late, and for some reason the front desk clerk wasn't able to give me a Choice Privileges upgrade, but as I was only doing one overnight it didn't bother me that much. Hot breakfast was great! Eggs, bacon, waffles and a variety of cereals, breads and fruits. I would definitely stay here again.
