Absolutely loved our stay here! The views all around are just gorgeous! Woke up every morning watching the sun come up over the mountains. This is the one place during this trip I truly did not want to leave. Everyone was super friendly!

Great location, we stayed 5 nights on Teaton trail close to the Shoshone river. Nice quite evenings sitting outside and looking at the beautiful landscape. Very friendly staff.

We stayed here for 2 nights while visiting Yellowstone and Cody. This was a beautiful, scenic location. The breakfast was amazing and they have a good supper menu too. We enjoyed the pool & hot tub one afternoon. The cabin was well maintained and the bed was very comfortable. We are so happy to have found this gem!

Wasn't impressed with the level of customer service in general. Only leaving one star because I can't leave 0. People travelling are tired, most of us really appreciate a smiling friendly face. I'm sure it's difficult to remain nice dealing with tired travellers every day, but hey that's the business, so smile, grit your teeth and take their money, rather than being insensitive, unfriendly and down right mean, no thanks. We chose not to stay here, even though we had a reservation, because of front desk attitude. Customer (guest) — facing personnel should be your most friendly, accommodating, smiling lively people, but in this case I recommend passing by this one. Not a friendly bone was found. Won't ever stay here in the future and would NOT recommrnd this dusty parking lot they call a campground for any reason other than emergency or desperation.

My family and I drove across the country to stay at Yellowstone Valley Inn. It was certainly worth the whole drive! Ron and his staff were very accommodating and made sure we were very comfortable and completely happy with our stay. The hotel room was perfect…, very roomy, exceptionally clean, decorated pretty, and extremely nice to stay in. The food in the restaurant was delicious. We enjoyed a great dinner there, and ate at the scrumptious breakfast buffet every morning. The location is perfect, being very convenient to both Yellowstone National Park, and to the town of Cody. The scenery outside is absolutely breathtaking! The views are beyond incredible! We are all so thrilled with YVI, and definitely plan to make the trip from Maryland to visit again!

We had planned a trip to Yellowstone NPS and decided to stay at the Yellowstone Valley Inn, what a great choice! The owner Ron was very accommodating and helpful in many aspects as were his employees. The room was perfect and very clean. Our room overlooking the Shoshone River was so nice, we left our patio door open and listening to the river was so relaxing. We also enjoyed the daily buffet breakfast before our trek into Yellowstone Park. I would definitely go back to YVI!

A (somewhat) short, (very) beautiful drive from the East Entrance to Yellowstone National Park. Breakfast is typical hot buffet, included in the price of the room. The bar dinner menu is superb: the French Dip sliders are a must. Our room overlooked the river; not many do. The room was well-featured though we used it primarily to sleep. Staff are very friendly.

More of a motel than a hotel… but the room was superb, with a view of the river. We had a 2nd floor room and kept the balcony open to the river all night. The hot tub closed early at 9:30pm, but the staff was very accommodating and opened it up for us after the (unreasonably early) closing time. The on-site restaurant food was decent with excellent service — — several neighboring tables got their food for free after slow kitchen service (without complaining). There's not much to do here, but it is a short drive to see the Smith Mansion, and it's a great stop on the way to Yellowstone coming from the East entrance. If you plan on seeing the Cody night rodeo however, you may want to stay in Cody as this is a bit out of town.

An amazing place amidst wilderness… the cottages are beautiful yet with all the facilities. During my trip of Yellowstone this was probably the best place I have stayed. It’s sooo magical and so clean. It’s worth every penny. The people are so nice and warm and the breakfast deserves a special mention. Fresh, tasty and delicious. if I have a chance again. Will surely go back! Thank you soooo much.

I would highly recommend trying one of the other rv sights / hotels in the area. Owner is crooked on business practices OSHA should get involved. Employees are nice folk and deserve an employer that will not have them risking their safety. Please support honest establishments and safe travels!

Decent RV park to stay between Cody and Yellowstone. Bathrooms were clean, playground needs some work but our kids enjoyed it.

Nice place to stop right outside of east Yellowstone. They have gas, restrooms, a convenience store, a gift shop, a restaurant and bar and I believe they offer cabins to rent as well.

Stayed here 1 night, May 27 2017, before heading into Yellowstone. Great location and awesome views. Not a destination campground, but good place to stay a few days with pull thru sites. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Great place to stay, we found it at the last minute. Staff were very friendly & helpful. Even kept kitchen open a little longer to allow us a hot meal late at night. Will recommend to anyone and everyone. Rooms were clean, comfortable and quiet. Lots of parking spaces too. Food was excellent but not topped by the service!

The Ranchartig facility, which we also spent two nights in the hotel area, has a saloon (bar) and a restaurant. Here all the depths are relaxed, nice, friendly and accommodating! The restaurant offers a menu of salads, pizza, sandwiches and steaks. Every steak is given the origin, everything from ranches in the immediate vicinity. The quality is an absolute dream. The breakfast buffet was also available in the rooms. Also here the quality and selection is pleasantly differentiated from the standard breakfasts that one knows from the hotel (chains). Unfortunately, our stay was the property for sale. It remains to be hoped that the standard can be kept.

Very good and affordable place to stay. The place in well appointed, the staff is friendly and helpful, the location by the river has very picturesque vistas. If you plan to use this as your stay for Yellowstone park though, it can be a bit too far. It is a 2 hour drive to the fishing bridge which means about 4 hours a day in commuting to and from the inn.

Loved staying here. The staff was friendly, the views were beautiful, the Shoshone River out back was nice, and the cabin we stayed in was cozy. Breakfast was very delicious and plentiful. Thank you Mr Ken for having it ready every morning for us. Great location only 30 miles from the East entrance to Yellowstone and 18 from Cody.

We had a great one night stay in a cabin at the Yellowstone Valley Inn. We arrived in the dark, but woke up to the most mesmerizing view of the mountains — clear, bright and beautiful. The cabin room was small but had everything we needed, and the breakfast that comes with was delicious (including cinnamon rolls! ). The front desk staff were really nice — they held our room for us even though we arrived late. I highly recommend this place to anyone in the area!

Pros: Clean room, nice TV, rustic feel, large windows, large fridge, friendly staff, great hot breakfast buffet, and amazing views all around. Cons: RV park right behind, made lots of noise. Bathroom window does not lock. Air conditioner is small, does not cool off room well. Squeaky beds, but not uncomfortable. Overall good experience.

Nice place, very nice owners, a bit on the eccentric side but nonetheless they are very nice people. The campground is a basic campsite with a gravel lot that does offer full hook up, nice showers and a clean laundromat as well as a pool and hot tub. I did not use the pool or hot tub however both my children and nieces did and the pool (which boasts online to be heated) was indeed not heated and according to my children/nieces was freezing cold and unbearable. On a positive note the kids did advise the hot tub was clean and warm. Although there is no access to the water from the stream nearby there are plenty of beautiful views from the surrounding mountains to see. There is a public access pull off to the stream a few miles down the road but is limited in amenities. You can eat dinner at the restaurant in the parking lot of the campsite, we had pizza that was promptly made and fed a hungry crew of 11 people, very tasty. I believe they are best known for their seafood and steak although we didn't try it. Overall its a satisfactory set up more suited and geared towards and older more elderly crowd rather than those folks with children. I will say though that Yellowstone National Park (East Entrance) is located 30 minutes down the road and Cody, WY is located another 30 minutes in the opposite direction so access to necessary items and recreation aren't far. Overall a positive experience!

The RV park is a treeless rock covered dump. The people at the front desk are rude and hateful, There are rude signs all over the office. The laundry was way overpriced $2 per load for wash and another $2 to dry with 25% of the dryers broken. (Only 4 of each for a park with 120 spaces). The breakfast was mediocre at best although the gentleman working the breakfast buffet was very nice and attentive. Ice was $2.50 per bag when all the stores in the area are $1.45. The only thing going for this location is the location itself with a great view. However there are many more parks in the area with much better of everything.

RV camp ground prices are a little high we stayed at two other RV campgrounds that where $25 cheaper and where nicer and cleaner places. The bath rooms and shower where so dirty the we wouldn't use them.

Typical rv campground with motel rooms and little cabins available. Plus a nice kids look and nice indoor hot tub.

This place was a good stop overnight. Was here to visit Yellowstone and this was an hour from the center to the east. Had a good hot breakfast and the bar was open late night.

Stayed in room 22. Best views, comfortable beds. Breakfast fantastic the bacon was to die for. Ate dinner at restaurant twice. Food was good. Staff were great.

The food here is a five star restaurant price and the taste of truck stop dinner. Who slow cooks a prime rib just to smoother it in instant brown gravy. Cook needs a new profession!

Quiet atmosphere. Friendly people. Good location right off the hwy.

We only stayed one night but wished we could have stayed longer. We ate dinner in the Saloon and it was really, really good — a little expensive, but worth it due to quality and isolation. The Saloon has the NFL satellite package as well, so we enjoyed football and drinks. In the morning they gave us a hearty breakfast (biscuits/gravy, eggs, etc). The staff were really awesome, professional but still with that laid-back cowboy vibe. We stayed in a cabin, and it was quite cozy (even tho it was pretty chilly in October). We were warned to keep an eye out for bears if we went outside after dark, but had no issues :)

It was very clean and super nice staff. The view was beautiful! We would stay again.

First about the wife and I, Currently, we are both in our mid 70's, I am a 100% disabled Vet, and don't get around the best, Walker, Cane or Wheelchair, but we do ride a custom built Harley Davidson CSC Trike. I have to keep the 16 ft. Enclosed Motorcycle trailer connected to the 40 ft. Motorhome, as that's our ONLY Transportation. They have always worked with me. We have stayed here 3 times, since 2007, (4 times, I think) and 8 to 10 days at a time. We travel 6 months out of the year and it's hard to keep up with everything. I've never had a problem with the staff nor the RV accommodations. The Water pressure was always very good, the Wi-Fi was always acceptable, as I have 30 Websites that I’ve written, manage and work on frequently. I have my computer, the wife’s computer and my iPhone 6 Plus, connected all the time we are at the park. The wind will occasionally come up, BUT… There’s not much management can do about that, So I don’t leave my awnings out when we go riding. We’ve ate Breakfast couple of times and dinner 2 or 3 times each stay, and so far, we have never been dissatisfied with any of the meals. Ronnie & Sue.

Comfortable room, great hot buffet breakfast in the morning. Super friendly staff. We were missing a towel in the room and they had one up in 5 minutes. Great customer service.

Lets start off by saying "I would never, ever stay at Yellowstone Valley Inn again! " The only positive thing I can say is it was a beautiful view. We made our cabin reservations in March along with 2 other couples we were planning our vacation with. The other couples were staying in RVs. They requested staying next to each other in which they were told it wouldn't be a problem. We reserved our cabin for 2 nights at $140 per night… ugh! Upon arrival we were told they 2 rvs wouldn't be near each other. In fact, they were on complete other ends. We were told that the owner took the original reservation and their was nothing they could do about it. I was so disgusted with the dark, dingy cabins. The lighting was terrible… 2 small lights on the wall by each bed. One outdoor porch light inside by the door and a lamp. You couldn't get any light in the room with all 4 lights on. When we first got in the room, I immediately tried to wipe down the bathroom floor because it looked like something was spilled there. It was gross stains. The drywall was cracking everywhere in the tiny little bathroom, including in the itty bitty shower. There was a microwave, small fridge and a coffee pot that was dirty from the previous occupants. I didn't find that out until the evening after our first stay. My husband said he didn't make coffee that morning and showed me the coffee pot. I couldn't believe it… great housekeepers huh?

Please take the time to read this! Let's start by saying the owners are liars and thieves. I made reservations in January by the owner himself who said he could save me some money. He priced the room at $92 a night for 4 nights saving us about $40 per night. 4 days and 2000 miles, almost 2 weeks ago we arrived on a once in a lifetime family road trip, only to find out he had doubled our rate, to $180 a night. We argued a little, then we pulled out the confirmation email, that's when it got bad. He starting telling us to take our deposit back and leave, knowing there was no where to go. That's something every dad wants to tell his children, hey guys we are sleeping in van. He then threatened to call police, because my wife got mad, after his wife (owner) jerked the email from her hand. They said it was a mistake, pay it or leave, they would rent it as soon as we left. I told him I had 3 children what was I going tell them, his answer, " I don't care, they are not my problem! ". I almost hit him. He then said we were trying to SCAM him, he made the reservations and sent the email, besides why would drive 2000 miles to Scam him. That's stupid. With what seemed like no other option we paid. So who got scammed? He had an older lady as a receptionist who just as bad. She kept telling me she hoped we didn't let this ruin our trip, and that I needed to calm my wife down. Husbands, like that would happen, she was a momma bear protecting her cubs. I just got out of the way.

This place was so friendly and boy, were we glad they had vacancy! On a roadtrip across the country, our original motel gave away our room. This place was luckily still open. But they were so friendly and the beds are AMAZINGLY comfortable. The breakfast was better than I've had a 4-star sheraton. I'd stay here again if I was ever in Cody, WY.

We recently held our family reunion here at YVI. It was a fabulous location, nice cabins and very helpful staff. It is close to Cody and Yellowstone. When renting a cabin, you get the breakfast buffet included (bacon, eggs, pancakes, etc. ) which was a nice way to start the morning.

Nice RV park with great views if you're in the right spot, with a restaurant and small bar on the grounds, pool and hot tub that we didn't use. Wind blew like an banshee the week (7 days) we were there so were unable to use the fire pit. The first night we were there we had drinks and a very good chicken fried steak dinner and the waitress was very nice. Then surprise, management tells us we had to move down 5 spaces. This was five hours after we parked and were completely set up plus had dinner at their establishment. Lots of empty spots so we couldn't figure out why we had to move so we complained to management. Manager blamed help and alluded to the idea that he might give us a free steak dinner for our trouble but that never happened. New spot looked into their maintenance building. That's ok though because instead of spending upwards of $500 at their restaurant and bar that week we ate in Cody or cooked our own meals. People in Cody were so nice! Next time we'll stay in Cody. BTW, the Wi-Fi worked poorly.

We have stayed at the Yellowstone Valley Inn two different times once in 2010 Aug and once in 2012 June. The first time we were motorcycle touring and we stayed in the motel rooms. The rooms are clean and well kept up a little smaller than some like it but for us it was perfect and we had a room with a back door view of the river, it was great. The food for dinners and breakfast were top notch both times we stayed. The hosts and staff were great people and help us with any questions about the local area. The second trip in 2012 and we stayed at the campground. When we arrived the hosts were again great to work with. The campground rest rooms were clean and the pool and hot tub were well kept up and clean. The campground park area is covered in gravel instead of grass, however it made sense due to the dry climate and lack of rain through out the year, and that night with the wind blowing we got a little rain. I was glad for the gravel because it kept the campgroung from being a muddy mess. For evening time we enjoyed the little bar and a few drinks. Even though we were the only people there that werent local they made us feel like family and even got some tunes playing for us. Over all we have stayed here 5 nights over a two year peroid and we will be back some day again. If you have a bad stay here its all on you! we loved it here.

Stay was mediocre. Gravel/mud RV sites. No cable and Wi-Fi was terrible. We paid for 10 nights but had to leave after 5 because our dog was incredibly sick. My husband and I were also mildly sick to our stomachs. I'm wondering if it was the water in the park. They refused to refund us even a portion of the unused days. We won't be back.
