The staff there was very friendly. So this review is not about the staff or any of them. We checked in on Thursday. All of the hotels were sold out in the area due to a Venetian festival. We were there for my husbands best friends wedding. We drove 7.5 hours. We checked into the hotel and had to body check the door each time coming in and going out cuz the door would stick to the carpet and not let it open. The bathroom needs a major remodel due to missing tiles, cracks, and normal wear and tear from guests. The bathtub needs replaced because you could fall through the floor depending on where you step. There was a leftover bar of soap in the shower from a previous guest so was it clean? During a pandemic? The carpet was soaked everyday all day and we had to use our flip flops to walk around. Our sheets and comforter were soaked everyday because the moisture in the room was so high. The air conditioner never kicked off and when you would go to turn it off it wouldn’t. The air was mildew and moldy. My husband and I left with a sore throat because we had to endure this for 4 days. We would have left or changed rooms but everything was booked and the front desk said they were sold out so we couldn’t move. We paid $750 to stay here and this is totally unacceptable! This hotel is awful! Stay away if you actually want a quality hotel. There is no quality in this quality inn.

We just stayed three night at this hotel. It was super clean, great staff, very comfortable beds. Everything you could ask for!

We had a large, comfortable, clean king room with a jetted tub. They offer pet friendly rooms. Good older hotel with great breakfast choices.

Check went smooth without any problem. My room was spacious and comfortable and clean. I liked the breakfast room which was well stocked and segregated away from the lobby which I liked. Great choices in food. Loved they offered greek yogurt. Great TV channel selections. The only reason for 4 stars is it isn't quite up to par with other comfort inns, ie nail holes in the wall, walls a bit outdated, maybe that is why they are beginning a quality inn this November.

Dirty, musty and $269 a night!?! From the moment we entered we were treated to a very heavy dank musty smell in the hall. The ac in the room did help but only made that problem slightly more bearable. Beyond that our accommodations were dusty, dirty, and grimy and stained carpet. But what really burns my ass is that they are charging a FORTUNE for this place! Stay away!

Clean and comfortable rooms. We enjoyed the fire and complementary s'mores! Very reasonable rates for the area.

The location was in a good spot. Close enough to town that it wouldn't take long to get there but wasn't so close you had to deal with a lot of traffic. The rooms were very nice, just your average hotel room though. Nothing really stood out to me. Just very basic, two beds, tv, mini fridge, microwave. One thing that was really nice was the photograhpy they had hanging on the walls were really really beautiful. Staff seemed friendly but I didn't really interact with them.

Absolutely a terrible place to stay. Way overpriced and noisy.
The hotel allows pets and the people directly above us had multiple LARGE dogs that did nothing but bark and runaround the room. The soundproofing in this hotel is nonexistent. It sounded like the dogs were in our room.
The room was so poorly cleaned that the previous occupants bill was still in the room.
The only reason I rated this room so high is the night manager did move us to another room that was quieter.

Great stay. Room was clean, all the staff were friendly and helpful about the area. I followed directions and booked my stay without any issues. Amazing how that works. Love management response to unwarranted complaints below. Very professional. Will definitely stay here on my next visit to petoskey. Side note, plenty of room out back for a pool…

They lied about being able to use the friends and family discount, very VERY rude! Don't recommend this place to anyone! Never again will I stay there! I didn't even want to give 1 star! Smh the worst comfort Inn I've ever been to!

I work at the comfort inn in goshen, in. Have been with the company for 6 yrs, My cousin recently tried using my friends and family discount and the lady at the front desk would not let her, what a shame. I'm not sure how ur system works, but from what I know most choice hotels fix their guests problems. I know in the future to not stay at this hotel. Nice guest service.

Friendly staff, clean rooms, comfortable bed, jacuzzi tub. We had two dogs and the room was perfect, close to the door. The deck with a fire pit was great sitting around at night right before turning in. Excellent place, reasonable price. I'll be coming back for sure.

Our stay at this hotel was terrible. We booked it because there were no other hotels in the area and we only needed one night. As we drove up to the front entrance, we could see the neglect of the property. We walked into our room and again noticed the neglect and lack of attention to cleanliness. The bathroom was the worst part of it. The toilet and tub were not clean, there was hair in the tub and feces in the bowl. It was clear that the cleaning crew didn't pay attention and ok top of that there was no soap anywhere in the room. After complaining, they gave us a 25% discount but we still felt gross staying there.

Updated since my last visit with new paint. No pool but they have a grill you can use to cook. Friendly staff, good Wi-Fi, fitness center. We enjoy staying here every year.

The entire first floor smells of mildew. No elevator. Noisy ventilation system second floor. Window AC smelled of mold. Bathtub extremely awkward to enter and exit. Doors do not provide adequate noise protection from hall. Parking a disaster. Separated area for trucks recommended. Check-in clerk upon arrival not terribly friendly. When I notified desk I was leaving, room service walked in my room with no warning-even though I had not left yet. I would NEVER recommend this hotel to anyone.

The hotel was very nice. I particularly enjoyed the outside patio area with comfy chairs, a fire lit at night, and toys to play with during the day. The rooms were nice, pretty standard for most hotels. Very enjoyable stay.

The motel was clean and well managed. The staff was courteous and very helpful. I did not utilize the breakfast but it looked appetizing with a large variety of choices. They even have a lovely outdoor space to enjoy breakfast.

The building is in a great location a little away from downtown so you don't hear traffic. There is no pool but it makes up for it in the amenities in the rooms.

I needed to be in Petoskey overnight and did a quick search and came across the Comort Inn. I was impressed by the reasonable rates and easy access. Upon arrival I was blown away! The place sits back off the road a bit and is nicely secluded. When you walk in the front door you'll be amazed! It's like walking into a beautiful home with a roaring fire in the fireplace and furnishings of great comfort to relax in. The desk people were the NICEST women I've ever come across in a hotel. Welcoming and helpful. The rooms are just luxurious and the beds were amazingly comfy. Frig, micro, and coffee. Bathroom was spotless and more than enough supplies. Breakfast the next morning… out of this world. On top of all that there's a pool and patio and firepit in the back yard. I can't say enough good things about this place and will stay there again for sure!

Hotel is pretty good for the price clean rooms quite a bit of complementary things.

The lobby was well decorated for the season. The layout was a bit odd. The breakfast area was not near the lobby. But it was still nice. Very clean.

I paid $200 for a one night stay. The hotel isn't new, so I didn't expect it to be perfect; I did however expect it to be clean. The toilet looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a month, and it still had hairs from previous occupants on it's rim. There was a large shard of broken glass under the edge of the bed. One of the towels was never washed and smelled like dirty butt. The concerns were brought to the front desk, but they didn't care. The bed was as hard as sleeping on the floor. Whenever the upstairs room ran water, it sounded like there was a jet engine running in the wall. I will not be returning to this hotel on my next visit, and if you're reading this I suggest you look for another place to stay.

Very average room. Nothing spectacular. Shower water pressure was pretty low. Height of the shower head was also quite low, but I'm 6'6" tall, so I understand that this doesn't matter to many people. I will say that I was pretty surprised at the depth of the breakfast in the morning. For the price, I'd stay there again.

Clean rooms and comfortable beds. Staff is friendly as well. This is a comfort inn tho with no elevator and no laundry room. I stay in a lot of choice hotels and this should probably only be a quality inn. If this was a quality inn I would give 5 stars.

Very impressed by this hotel for the price and the area. It's a typical straightforward, barebones Comfort Inn, but the prices are right. You are close to Petoskey's downtown, but you also have easy access to Harbor Springs via 119 and you can also make the trek over to Charlevoix in decent time. All-in-all, if you are looking for an affordable option in this area, I'd recommend this Comfort Inn.

Nice people, decent room, the hot pipes screeched when you turned the shower knob to high. Wifi was solid, was able to view youtube and twitch.

It was a clean pleasant hotel. The complimentary breakfast offered many many (dare I say a plethora of) choices… and they had complimentary newspapers.

Kudus to this smaller motel — I have stayed there about once every five years for the last 15 or 20 years and it is consistently just a clean, restful, and friendly place to hang out. Only gripe is no microwave in the room.

Great hotel! The hotel could use some updates carpet in the halls needed re stretched. The staff was great after we checked in and went to the room found out that it didnt have a fridge. A quick call to the desk and they moved us to a different room w/ a fridge so I could keep my meds cold. They even brought the room keys to me! The rooms were clean and smelled good Great hotel and good value.
