Loved this place… great breakfast… super staff!

It’s simply the BEST! Private, quiet, peaceful with a beautiful garden and a romantic setting.
Clean, classy and modern. The breakfast that is sent to your room at the time you choose is outstanding!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Room was clean and comfortable, and our hosts were very welcoming. We loved the retro vibe to the inn… far more interesting and agreeable than the cookie-cutter chain hotels. Breakfasts were included (and were delicious). Grounds are well-maintained, with a delightful pond and garden area and a covered outdoor seating platform (which was a great place for us to enjoy evenings of wine and good conversation). Convenient location several blocks from the city center. We highly recommend the Summer’s Inn Ludington. (July, 2020)

We visited this "inn" a couple of weeks ago. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The main room area was roomy. The bathroom was extremely small but clean and no big deal about the size. They serve a free, out of this world for a motel/hotel/inn. They have chefs make you a solid breakfast with all home-made ingredients. I loved their home-made raisin bread, to die for. The breakfast they serve is 10 stars. The people who run and own the place are super nice and accommodating. They have an area where there is a covered porch and beautiful flowers and trees all around it. They have an ice machine that serves everyone. There are all kinds of different rooms, depending on your needs and how long you stay. They are not all alike. I do recommend Summer's Inn to at least try it out. You may love it. We liked it very much but are used to hotels. It's close to town and you can walk there in a few minutes. It's very close to Lake Michigan and is probably one of the nicest motels around. I gave it 5 stars but might have given it 4.5 stars because of the bathroom. They do tell you that in their advertisement, that the bath is smaller than usual. We had stayed at this place more than 5 years ago and it's much much nicer now than then.

Very quiet room. Nicely decorated in rooms and inside lobby/restaurant. Was a little concerned with motel like exterior doors, but it was very safe and quiet. Visitors can purchase wine by the glass or bottle in the lobby. The bathroom was average. The bed was very comfortable. They market themselves as adults only and that held true.

We we're back here again last night. It's our go-to place here in Ludington. Love the style of the decor and the staff / owners are fantastic. Breakfast is delicious. It's not a modern hotel… we can get that anywhere. This is mid-century modern mixed with current. Try it, we think you will like it. Back again… this place is so cozy and congenial.

A beautiful place to visit. Very unique and different from other places we visited. The rooms are not like your typical hotel rooms. Comfortable and tastefully done. Enjoy a glass or bottle of wine in their library or garden setting. Their breakfast is very good and different from your typical hotel chain. For an adult only lodging, you can't beat the Summer's Inn.

Summer's Inn has been a great place to stay. The hotel is clean and well maintained. The breakfast is excellent as well, made to order omelettes and fresh baked breads that far exceed what you normally expect from a hotel breakfast. On top of that there's library that you can borrow from and a deck/garden area to relax in while you're not at the beach. And it's hard to beat the location. Perfect place to stay!

I see this cute little Inn being our must stay spots when coming to Ludington. Our room was clean and comfortable. The staff was very nice and helpful. The breakfast was absolutely delicious! To top it off the owner was very charming & sweet! Affordable — excellent …

The best place I have stayed in a long time❤️ It’s that older hotel feel with a modern twist. There are no elevators and no doors slamming. It’s a quaint place that serves a fabulous, fresh and delicious breakfast. I will stay here again! Over the big corporation hotel with nasty breakfast. Just a beautiful experience. Excellent staff, service, food… etc.
Our stay was perfect. Highly recommend staying here if you enjoy a cozy, quiet environment for a getaway.

We were greeted by the sweetest workers. The room was beautiful and clean. It has air that could be adjusted to our needs. There is a gorgeous garden and library on the grounds. It's perfect for a bookworm or someone looking for a quiet, peaceful getaway. The owners cook a magnificent breakfast for you in the morning and are so willing to help you with anything. Will definitely be visiting there again.

Beautiful room exceptionally clean. The staff was excellant. The breakfast was free and they made the best omelets. They had whole made bread cereal coffee juice. Great atmostphere. We would recommend this motel very high.

Excellent! Was reticent to stay in a B&B because I've never stayed in one. This Inn is remarkable. We just loved our stay. Close to everything — comfortable — beautifully appointed — upscale. They pay attention to every detail and the breakfast is outstanding. Cannot wait to return!

Looks like a motel but run like a B&B. Not great for kids. They cater to those riding the Badger by offering early breakfast (All home made bread and pastry) for those on the Badger. Beautifully decorated rooms.

Clean, welcoming, modern, soft and romantic. The garden and patio area are pretty and relaxing. The service was wonderful the food and wine delicious!

My husband and I stay here when we go up to ludington during the salmon run. Wet absolutely love it. Its very clean and the employees are so nice. The breakfast is so delicious and the rooms are vey clean and nice. Highly recommended.

We absolutely loved our time at the Summer's Inn. We took a mini honeymoon Labor Day weekend and we were so happy we chose the Summer's Inn. The owners are such lovely people who were able to upgrade our room (for free) since I made a note that it was our honeymoon :) The room was spacious, clean, comfortable and adorable! Such a nice change from the normal chain hotel rooms. Breakfast was absolutely delicious and the owner's were so personable, giving us travel tips and genuinely caring for all guests. We will definitely be back! Thank you for a wonderful stay! The Summer's Inn is such a gem!

I absolutely fell in love with Summers Inn during my four day stay in Lundington. The fabulous owners (Keith & Sue) were so friendly and offered daily suggestions for local travels, sites/events. The breakfast menu was delicious with house hostess accommodating with daily personalized table service. Special thanks to cleaning crew member (Cathy). Finally, the hidden garden and reading room at Summers Inn was just two other wonderful treasures enjoyed. Ten stars out of five.

Summer's Inn is a cute, quaint, and charming motel that combines the best elements of a bed and breakfast with those of a motel. The staff was very friendly and the included breakfast was far better than what you'd find in a typical hotel. We stayed in the budget room, but it was clean and didn't feel as cramped as their website had warned. There was a nice garden with a pond and seating area, but you could still hear the noise from US 10. Be sure to check the office hours as we almost missed check-in for the night. All in all, our expectations were exceeded and we will definitely stay again.

We love Summer's Inn and try to get here at least once a year! It is a small, beautiful, family-run motel, with delicious breakfast included (different delicious omelet each day, fresh fruit, wonderful breads with local home-made jams — all so good! ) The rooms are so cozy, each one different and very charming and comfortable. The owners, Keith and Suzette, as well as all of their staff, are so friendly, welcoming and helpful. They have a small lending-library, and a gorgeous, peaceful garden with pond, benches, chairs and tables and fountain — loved sitting there! We won't stay anywhere else when we come to Ludington!
