Wonderfully situated on the West side of Lansing/Delta Township, next to the legendary Horrock's Market and many other quality services and access to transportation. The staff is friendly, responsive and accommodating and the Delta Township community, on whole is receptive and friendly. The building seems like well maintained; the mattress in our room / suite was comfortable. 'Suite" apparently has no specific definition, in the Hospitality Community. The "suite" we thought we booked at Hampton Inn and "Suites, " was little more than a larger room, with the same amenities as rooms, not afforded the title "suite. " This "suite" does not compare with the general configuration characteristics of fellow Hilton Family offerings, Homewood Suites, which my wife and I have frequented in the recent past. Should you book a "suite" at this Hampton Inn and Suites, understand you are not booking a "suite" as many of us may expect, by rather a slightly more deluxe regular hotel room. The climate control is very good; the room only has one chair, which is a little awkward, given the room arrangement and amenities. The Koehler shower/bath faucet is awkward and difficult to manage; the only drinking vessels in the room were paper cups, which seems more fitting of a Motel 6, than a Hilton Family hotel — strongly recommend bringing your own drinking vessels. The provided coffee on the premises is mediocre at best; impresses me as little more as than the hotel chain doing the bare minimum, while being able to claim that coffee is provided in each room — there is little apparent concern for providing their patrons a sense of quality here. The quality of the television is good; HD TV is provided on a quality wall mounted 42" LG television. All in all, I'd probably book a room here again, because of it's location and because Marriott seems reluctant to maintain their Residence Inn, a little east on the Saginaw Street corridor.
