A decent motel/hotel. There is no elevator which was slightly odd but I guess since they consider themselves a motel that is normal and it's only two flights so no big deal unless you have a lot of luggage. The pool area is nice with a good little patio set outside as well. A lot of complaints about the breakfast but it's just a normal continental breakfast as far as I'm concerned, waffles, cereal, bagels coffee and juice and they have some sausage and eggs you can heat up in the microwave. It was a good stay though and I thought the pillows were really comfortable which was a big plus. For the price it can't be beat really, I'm sure I'll stay here again when we visit.

They just need to learn how to run the establishment. They had someone poop in the pool and throwup in the hot tub. They closed it down and never informed us when we walked right by the front desk in our swim wear. Then we had to pay 100.00 security deposit and then we paid the room in cash. They put the security deposit on my card and that was all the money we had. They wouldn't give us the cash. We were stranded there and they said they couldn't do anything. Then I was locked out of the hotel and out of my room. The batteries went bad in the lock and I had to wait 40 minutes after being locked out of my room to get in after they figured out what the problem was. I am just not happy with anything there.

Nice hotel, nice staff but the TV's are mounted so the USB ports are inaccessible and we couldn't connect to watch movies (the cable selection was bad — but that's not the hotel's fault).

Wonderful stay and brilliant staff. Made us feel at home being so far away from home.

The ONLY place we stay in Grand Haven! And the Tim Hortons in the parking lot is an added bonus.

Great place to stay for the price! The room was clean, beds were comfortable and they also offer free breakfast from 6-9am. I was in late, so they offered me a late check out as well. One thing I like when I stay in a room is water pressure in the shower. Bathroom was clean and water pressure was there. This hotel has been renovated and the owners have put a lot of money into it. The pool is big and clean, hot tub was clean. Pool area offers table for eating and drinking. Great place to stay.

The hotel was great for the price, we got a great deal. Compared to other hotels I have stayed at though, this one isn't amazing. Rooms are ok, small with harder beds. The pool was nice and very warm for the kids, but the hot tub was full of bubbles and some scum. The breakfast was good, but no fruit unless you count orange juice. Was pretty quiet.

Very friendly even when they were super busy, great breakfast and kid friendly. Could have been a little bit cleaner but I would definitely go back!

Place was packed. Clean and other than the one & only the one young lady that checked me in, ALL OTHER STAFF MEMBERS FRIENDLY AND WELCOMING. Breakfast variety and well done. Pool & hot tub nice also.

They have done some nice updating it's looking good. Employees are polite very helpful and have enjoyed staying there.

Spent the weekend here with family. It's a older hotel that has a indoor pool. This place could use some new carpet and some softer beds. The price was very reasonable.

I was only there for a little while to hangout with friends that were staying there. Easy access off US-31. Rooms are decent. Lots of breakfast options.

Amazing! The staff was really nice! And we were really loud… But they were so nice about telling. G us to quite down! One actually complimented my singing!

This hotel was good as far as cheap hotels go. Rooms were fairly clean and quiet. The pool was clean and warm. We took the family here to stay a night and use the pool. Good place to take the kids. Not the place for a quiet weekend with the spouse.

Attended a kids birthday party in the pool area. The kids had fun. The new owners have changed things and no longer provide a room to change into bathing suits and eat cake. I will not book another kids party until that changes back to the way it used to be.

The room was very clean and smelld wonderful! The pool was clean and the pool area was kept up nicely. The service there was awesome. The people we very nice to me. Overall I would give them at 10

Parking lot not plowed, got stuck. Hot tub was cold, complained. Took 2 hours to heat up but chlorine was way too high, eyes were watering and could not stand to stay in. Also pool room was very cold around 60 degrees. Room was not very clean, in fact found trash by bed another guest must have left. Shower lever broke after first shower. Desk tried to fix but couldnt. They did offer another room but we were already settled. Breakfast bar was not very well stocked. Mens room in lobby was broken.

We went for the New Years party and the staff really made it a great and fun experience for the kids. We really enjoyed our time here!

Stayed for an anniversary overnight. Room was very clean. Pool and hot tub were also clean. Pool was as warm as bath water!

Honestly I wish I could give 0 stars, we were charged for smoking which if $250 fee AND WE DIDNT EVEN SMOKE! I am allergic to it and would've had to go to the hospital if anyone had! Besides that it was the worst stay ever! The hot tub was low on water and had like 1ft of bubbles in it and probably only 2ft of water I personally went to the front desk to complain about it and nothing was done! The screen on the window was broken and I was freaking out all night cause someone could've easily gotten in the room! And the lock that you flip over to securely lock the door at night was broken it only had 1 screw holding it closed! The lock on the bathroom was also broken so it didn't lock. The tile floors were soapy! When we came back to the room from the pool my dad actually slipped because the tile still had soap on it from when they mopped! Who does that it's like they only mopped with soap! This was a absolute terrible expiernce I will be sending in complaints, leaving bad reviews every where and I will get my money back for being falsely accused of smoking! Terrible just the worst!

Love going here. The rooms are really nice and staff is very helpful. The pool is warm. The only reason I have it 4 stars instead of 5 is that the balcony above the pool has beds and spare furniture. It would be nice if they had tables and chairs so we can sit up there.

Worth the price! Room was new and beautiful and the pool area was dope! Had headlamps and lawn chairs to make it cozy.

This is a great location because it's close to a lot in Grand Haven, but it's on a TERRIBLE street. Nothing but Michigan lefts and insane traffic. The hotel is nice. A little noisy right now with construction, but not bad. The rooms aren't all finished, but the ones they are booking are pretty much done. Just a few minor cosmetic issues. Great staff, wonderful pool, clean, and comfy!

I was a little grossed out by the amount of personal hairs on the restroom floor. Had to walk outside and downstairs just to go to the front desk. The breakfast was not very comforting away from home, but was ok for on the go. Just would have been nice to have some eggs with a meat or something hot, like biscuits and gravy. The 3 pillows on each bed were comfortable but about half the size of a normal pillow. Would have been nice to at least have 4 as we fought over who got extra pillow since they were small. Despite these things we did sleep comfortably and accomplish our goals for traveling. Do not think I would pick Baymont again if better hotel was available because $184 per night is slot of $$.

The main lobby has been nicely renovated, the front desk staff was nice, the beds were comfortable and the complimentary breakfast was adequate. However, the restroom in our room was dingy and cramped. Also, the sink was in the room, not the bathroom which I hate. If you can spare the extra $20, the Best Western down the street is a better choice. If you don't have any other option, Baymont Inn will suffice for a night.

My husband and I stayed overnight. Excellent customer service from the moment we walked in. We did not use any of the amenities like the pool or breakfast. Our room was clean and comfortable. Great water pressure for our showers! There were signs posted regarding renovations in process, and apologizing if there was excessive noise too early in the morning. We had no issues with excessive noise at all. Very quiet, peaceful stay. We will go back again.

Was just in town for my sons wedding and stayed at Baymont (room 113) for a week and a half. It was great. I dont know where people are getting such negative review of this place but, I discovered very helpful friendly staff. Very attentive to our needs and kept us supplied with clean linens and other supplies for our entire stay. Housekeeping did a beautiful job and Pattie at the front desk was a charm to talk to. I will definitely stay there again in future. If I had to chose one thing I would change a bit, would be to have a fresh cut mixed fruit cup or bowl for breakfast. They did have apples and bananas available, but a mixed variety would be wonderful, especially on freshly made waffles. Thank you to Baymont Staff!

I stayed there for 6 weeks straight and it was very nice people were very nice rooms were always clean and I will return to stay there.

Nice pool. AC didnt work. Upstairs guests cause floors to squeak loud all night. Nice beds. Great location.

I never write reviews, but I don't want other people to make the same mistake I did. We are on our second no smoking room because the first one smelled so badly of smoke I couldn't stay there. This room is better, but I can still smell the undertone of it. The bathroom floor is dirty, the shower has mold and the tile is cracked and broken. The rest of the room is just OK. It appears to be clean at least, but I will be finding another hotel tomorrow for our second night. If it weren't so late tonight, I wouldn't be staying here. Do yourself a favor and spend a little more for accommodations elsewhere. I wish I would have.

Staff was extremely professional, kind and helpful. The place is much like and in some ways better than some $200.00 to $300.00 places I have used before A++.

It was Freaking dope. The pool was totes amaz and the coffee for breakfast tasted like lemon and twizzlers.

Fantastic hotel considering the low price for my last-minute booking. The staff were friendly and extra helpful. The room was spacious, clean, and the bed was very comfortable. The pool looked really nice too, but sadly I didn't get the chance to use it.

I have never had a more terrible experience renting a room. Also, I've stayed here before this incident so the "general manager" and owner should properly educate their staff on "their rules. " To start off the "GM" was short and very uninformative. And Since I am from out of town and not 21 (I'm 19), my friend (which 3 out of the 5 of us were 21) decided to rent a room so we all could stay and catch up. He was told he needed a credit card and since he did not possess one he attempted to use my boyfriends. But according to the GM that wasn't an option. So my other friend went inside to rent the room with her credit card and ID, only to be asked if she was with the party who was just in there attempting to get a room. After about an hour of trying to rent this room the GM said she would be checking everyone's ID and if they weren't 21 they couldn't stay in the room… The last I checked that wasn't a policy stated anywhere on their website. And After talking with the GM telling her my frustrations and asking her where in writing or print that requirement was stated, she only could say it was her rule. I can only come to the conclusion that she was stereotyping and it's very sad she had to be so rude and unprofessional. I guess I wouldn't of been so upset if I had never stayed there before with the same people. But the fact of the matter is I was and I did, but not this time because of the made up rule by this lady. Im very sorry it had to be that way.

They did a nice job on the remodel and I'm glad that is over. We stayed there consistently during the construction and now the quiet has returned. New Bed — very comfortable BUT according to my wife's doctor, there is a bed bug issue! She had bites up and down her legs, arm and shoulder all on her right side which she sleeps on. Antibiotic and steroids will take care of it but so will never staying there again!

Even with the hotel under construction room was clean, inviting, and quiet. Staff was extremely friendly and accommodating with the maid staff even taking time to help us find a restaurant for dinner. Pricing was unbeatable and the pool and jacuzzi were very well maintained. Located less than 10 minutes from Downtown and the beach. We will definitely be coming back.

The only good thing thing was that there wasn't anything gross hiding in the beds. The rooms were barely cleaned. The remote had something brown and sticky on it. We were told our room was an upgrade because they messed something up. I'm guessing the upgrade was the fridge because the rooms were average size. The pool heater was broken, but they didn't bother to mention that when the rooms were reserved over the phone. We were there so my son could swim for his birthday. There were around 20 kids in the spa because they wouldn't go near the pool. I wouldn't let my kids in the crowded spa, so I looked like the bad guy to them. My son "got to" swim for about 15 minutes before his shivers were uncontrollable and his lips were blue (he really wanted to swim). As soon as we walked into our room, our dog ate something off of the floor, then he kept randomly licking spots on the floor like something hadn't been cleaned up (it wasn't from us). We did what they were calling a deal and getting a room for $75 that included two medium pizzas, 5 bread sticks, and a 2-liter of Pepsi. Their regular rates are $55, and we don't drink Pepsi (they don't say what brand in the advertisement). We got two rooms with that "deal. " It took 1½ hours to get our pizza, and we were already hungry when we ordered. We will not be going back, and we do not recommend this place. FYI, everything online said Baymont Inn & Suites.

Air conditioning didn't work was moved to another room and the air didn't work in that one neither overall the hotel was clean thru out and staff was extremely nice but I expected more from this hotel.

Complete rip off, will not be back. Parking Lot is empty for a reason. Staff was nice and friendly but almost $200 a night for a motel quality room!?! Paint peeling off the walls in bathroom, wall paper coming off the wall in the room. Trim in bathroom is moldy and cracked. I wish I could add pictures of how embarrassing this "hotel" is. Complete and utter waste of money. Do not come here.

We spent 3 nights In April 2014. Shaina helped me from our reservation thru our check out. She is an asset to this hotel. Derek the night time clerk helped me with the internet and he went beyond his call of duty like Shaina did to make our stay like being at home. Everything in this facility is excellent from the staff, breakfast, pool, hot tub thru out all of the room's amenities. All staff members were excellent! Such an enjoyable time. My husband and I have stayed at this establishment twice before and each time is exceptional. A beautiful facility to enjoy when you are visiting the Grand Haven area. We will be back.

My stay at Days Inn Grand Haven MI was really great. The room was clean and nice, the indoor pool was also well kept and wonderful. The entire staff — very friendly. I will stay there EVERY trip in the future.

Made us wait 30 minutes with no one at the front desk. Bare minimum. A roof over your head.

Not the nicest hotel ive stayed in but the staff was very accomodating! Especially cassidy at night. She was great.

Planned a three night stay. Got bed bugs the 1st night and ended up at Urgent Care just down the street where there diagnoised me with bed bug bites. (About 10 of them) Room 148 by the pool. Killed one and took to front desk. They moved us to room 250. When we walked in there was a bug on the wall. Called the front desk and they came up. They wanted to move us again, but we decided to get the heck out of there. They wanted to charge us for the first night and I said no way. We ended up paying 50% then went back to the hotel the next day to show them how swelled up I was. They then removed the the room charge completely. I asked for the manager on 2 different occasions and NEVER got to talk to him/her. I do not recommend staying here. I also contacted the health department.
