The room was very clean. The bed was comfortable. We did have an issue with housekeeper (male) coming into our room three times one morning even though he had to remove the "do not disturb" card to get in, but we brought it to management's attention and feel it will be addressed. The rest of the staff was amazing; friendly and helpful. I would stay here again (and use the pull over lock preventing unwanted entry).

We try to stay here several times during the year.
Tonight, we had just got to our room when the front desk called to see how our room suited us. Great customer relations.

Great location for getting around the area. Super staff. Very clean. I was really impressed by the water pressure. Most hotels throttle down on water but not this place. About blew me out of the shower. Management cooks out every Tuesday for the staff and guests. Hot dogs this time.

The hotel itself is rather decent. Nothing super fancy, but still nice. My personal favorite staying here is the staff. They are extremely kind. James is spectacular. Thank you.

Older building, bathroom well overdue for upgrading, noise problem behind the property. Front desk staff was great, cordial and engaging. The gentleman who was a maintenance leader I believe spoke down to his staff. Took place in front of the manager (I believe it was the manager) and was not addressed. The maintenance staff member was quite personable with me.

Good place for stay. Courteous staff. A bit old construction. You might smell smoke in certain areas as people smoke next to the entrance. Breakfast timings are good but need to go at least an hour before the closing otherwise certain things may not get refilled.

Facilities were clean, stocked and prepared. The complimentary breakfast was tasty, and standard fair: eggs, danish, sausage, waffles, various juices. Only issue was pricing. There was nothing about the hotel that warranted a hundred dollars a night. They didn't have a pool, workout facilities or any other accoutrements that higher-cost facilities provide. I would absolutely consider them again in the future if the price was right.

You must stay here when traveling. James was the best reception person ever. I travel a lot and when he heard it was my birthday he went out of his way to make me feel special. That was so special when your away from family to do that. Plus being on the road the price was affordable and it also has a laundry area, I needed that. Room was nice and location was perfect. I give this location a killer review.

Great stay! We loved James! This was the first time we could travel with our dog in comfort! This is our place when we travel from our home Cincinnati to Michigan again!

Staff had always been nice and helpful when I've been there, doubly so with regulars. I've never had a problem with them. They often have wedding parties during weekends, but usually manage to keep disturbances to a minimum.

The staff was very polite, all of them that I ran into. The rooms where clean and comfortable. I enjoyed the whirlpool bath as well. The only thing that prevented a 5* rating is there could have been a little maintenance upkeep to my room, peeling wall paper around the shower. I also was at another room that had appliances and it was adjoining another. Nice big rooms with full kitchen. Really nice for bridal party to get ready in.

I was staying overnight for a business trip. The staff was super friendly, the room was clean and even had a built in bottle opener which definitely came in handy. It was also within walking distance to several restaurants.

Great place to stay! The rooms are clean and well maitained. It was so nice of the desk clerk, James to call our room when we first got in to check and see if the room was acceptable and was everything good! Best value I have had in years. Keep up the good work!

Old, doesn't smell that good. I booked online and walked in and paid, then next day I get charged extra 100dollars when u called a guy name Brian answered and I asked and he said it was a deposit for damages. Put in mind I have already checked out in the morning and when I checked in front desk never mentioned that extra fee on hold. I tried to explain to him but he was rude and kept cutting me off. At end after I mentioned why the charge after I already been checked out in the morning he canceled the charge. I don't recommend this place.

Nice hotel. Cool Jacuzzi tub, but the glass block was a bit creepy to have on the wall of the shower/tub. Breakfast was good, with some unique food options, but not a high-end selection. Overall, I'd stay again, especially for a romantic stay without kids.

The place is not terrible. The rooms could use some renovation but that's if am being really picky. The only wired thing is the huge block "privacy" window in between the bathroom and and bedroom area (at least in the double bed rooms) I feel like it's out of place and it's not very private and can be very uncomfortable of you are traveling for work reasons and you are sharing a room with someone you are not very comfortable with.

Good check-in. Friendly staff. Premises need TLC. Washrooms require dire renovations. Comfortable beds and amenities. Most importantly it's pet friendly.

Rooms are adequate. The bathroom boasts a huge whirlpool tub which was a surprise. There's a strange privacy block window wall between the shower and the main room for reasons I know not. Other than that, a pretty nice hotel.

A lot better than my previous stay. Got a different room then what was pictured but was still good. Very clean and the bed is comfy. Love the jetted tub. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

Comfortable Hotel and my first choice in Utica.

Very clean facility with super comfy beds. Slept wonderfully every night, free breakfast each morning with fresh waffles, and friendly, accommodating staff. Would definitely stay here again next time I'm in Michigan. Thanks again!

It was a nice enough room. Their "hot breakfast" was quite cold, and their night manager neglected to note our late checkout time to the day shift. This resulted in a couple of reasonable, if badgering, phone calls from the front desk essentially asking us to get moving or pay for another night. All in all a pleasant experience however.

We stayed overnight due to a funeral in the family. We requested a king bed. The room was perfect for us. Large TV, desk, loveseat. The bed was big and comfortable. The tub was a hug jetted tub. The room heat was great. The free continental breakfast was great. Our daughter lives right down the street, so it was easy for her to watch our dog. They allow dogs, but only up to 40 pounds. We will definitely stay there again and will request the same room. Easy access right off the elevator!

Clean hotel. Very accommodating and offered late check out for both fee. Although I didn't bring my dog the rooms are pet friendly. Kind employees and ;reat rate. Will stay again. Thank you!

This was a great value. The room was very comfortable. The staff was excellent. The bathroom needs a bit of remodeling. I would definitely stay there again.

You will be very surprised at the great location and wonderful hotel. Value is abundant. Great hot breakfast, comfortable rooms and friendly staff. Don't waste your money staying elsewhere.

All staff are extremely nice, very friendly, and definitely helpful! The rooms were pretty clean, no bedbugs or anything of super concern. I wouldn't rate it at germ-free or 100% spotless, but this isn't a 1st class, $400-a-night, swanky joint in the first place. If you're concerned, then just bring a tub of Clorox wipes & you'll be good to go. I would agree w/another reviewer that the rooms could use an update or refresher for sure. My biggest complaint though would be the lighting in the room. Even w/every light turned on, it was still too dim! Also, the room smelled a bit stuffy. Not a huge deal. The free breakfast was great. Ample choices and it's always being replenished. The complimentary coffee and tea stand in the lobby was a big hit. Lots of choices. Help yourself to a hot beverage 24/7! Awesome!

The comfort in on M59 and M53 is a decent and fair priced hotel. If you'r wife or girlfriend has you in the dog house, don't sleep on the couch. Check into the Comfort Inn for a night or two. You will both get the space you need and it won't break the bank!

Hotel needs to be updated. We were upgraded into a suite, would have been nice if it was updated. Also I was unaware that they would match any third party booking app so I used my app. Because I used a third party they require a $100 a night deposit. That is more then the room and just outrageous. Then it takes 4 to 5 days to refund. They need to let people know that they'll match the lowest price and it's only a $40 deposit. If you do use a third party it's a $100 deposit. I just don't understand most hotels are $20-$50 a night, which is reasonable. They should refund it instantly after cleaning the room as well.

The stay was very comfortable and accommodating. The group I was traveling with was rather large and all of our needs seemed to be attended to. The breakfast was nice but the room was small. That's my only complaint.

We arrived an hour early hoping to check in early but our room wasn't ready and we made the best of it by playing on the grounds with my grandson! But by 3 pm, which is the posted check in time, our room still wasn't ready! Ugh… we ended up checking in around 3:30!

Staff is very friendly. Hotel is very clean. HBO is available along with DirecTV. Beds are very comfortable. Nice breakfast. (6-10:30) Meeting room is available. Would recommend it.

Love this place… excellent breakfast… excellent customer service… they accommodate any request you might have if they can… very clean and comfortable.

I came in late Friday after flying in at 9 pm. Already had my reservation online. I go to the counter to check in and the guy says "I'm sorry we gave away your room "! Then they said they had nothing available until Saturday but I could drive another 16 miles and pay more money for a than my reserved room rate for about 6 hours use. The next day the manager apologized and gave us a $20 voucher and said use this the next time you come back.

Hotel was great from beginning to end. The bed is amazingly comfortable. They have a full breakfast buffet; wish it went just a tad later (only until 930a on the week days). They are very accommodating and have a late check out. The rooms are clean and comfortable. I've stayed several times and will stay again anytime. This is my new go-to hotel.

Award winning for the dirtiest and most dated hotel ever. Hot and cold water are reversed. Faucet came off in our hands and management popped it back on and it wouldn't work so to brush our teeth we had to use water in the tub. Place is dated and dirty. I wouldn't bathe my dog in their tubs and we were in 2 different rooms. They put some new carpet in an old hotel and some mismatched wallpaper and called it good. Staff is nice not their fault they work for some cheap folks that engage in false advertising.

Utica Michigan Comfort Inn. The elevators were out out of service for the first 36 hours of our stay. The service was really friendly. Very clean room! Continental breakfast was really nicebut shut down too early tho. Could hear the people above us walking around all night. Bathroom needed updating but the air conditioning worked well. The location is really good, great for shopping and restaurants!

Staff is *always* excellent, caring, and attentive. They have a great space for small professional gathering. Public spaces are always very clean. Private spaces gave wonderful amenities for the price point. Great complimentary breakfast offerings, hot coffee always available, and very tasty cookies!

Very unprofessional. I had blocked off rooms for my wedding this weekend. Five days before the wedding, they cancelled and moved all my guests to another location that was further away and in a less desirable city. I was not called ahead and warned, nor asked if this was ok. I was informed after the fact by my guests. All of my guests cancelled the reservations to the new hotel and had to find rooms at other hotels last minute. I had to call the hotel myself to find out what was going on, and was told "We hoped you were okay with it. " I am very unhappy, and will never stay at a Comfort Inn again. I don't want to stay at a hotel that is in the practice of canceling reservations and relocating guests to other hotels. And I can't believe they didn't think it necessary to call me first. I got the message loud and clear, my business isn't important to them.

Came for a wedding, first room we were given was very smelly of smoke. So they changed our rooms no hassle. Had a great conference room that we played board games in.

What you would expect for the price. Clean and comfortable. However, the whirlpool rooms don't have a wall between the bathroom and the bedroom, making privacy near impossible. Would not recommend that type of room if sharing the room with someone else. The hotel provides shuttle services, which is nice for things like weddings.

Very busy area with alot of traffic, but plenty of restaurants and shops nearby. The hotel is nice, friendly staff and clean rooms.

I checked last night around mid night. The room was totally uncleaned from the previous occupant. There was no house staff on hand. The desk clerk dis the best he could by giving me clean sheets and pillows. After 10 hours of travel, the last thing I wanted to do was to clean my own room. Yuck!

Nice hotel and kind people, clean and comfort room, they have coffee, water, ice near the front desk. I recommend this place if you want to stay in utica or sterling heights area.

No hot water the night we checked in. The young man who was working that night said that so many were filling their jacuzzis at the same time and that is why we couldn't get hot water. He did credit us $20 for not being able to use the tub. However, when we went to use the shower in the morning, there was still no hot water. Unfortunately they only get a 1 star rating. Otherwise everything else was to our expectations.

The rooms are nice. The location is ok, set back off the road so slightly hard to see.

The comfort Inn in on hall road and m-53 is a very comfortable place. It's always very clean and accommodating to their guests. I stay there often and enjoy it.

I stayed as a last minute guest, but the clerk at the desk was very friendly and helpful and let me know about the continental breakfast, and when and where I'd find it. The room was nice with a large television and as well as a whirlpool tub. The tub was actually a highlight of my stay. The beds were comfy, and I slept like a baby. The breakfast is about what you'd expect, do it yourself waffles, oatmeal, bagels, toast, cold cereal, yogurt, milk and juices. I would definitely stay here again.

Items stolen by Hotel hospitality team. Covered up! They refused to return calls or rectify situation. Filed Police report and they aren't even cooperating with police.!

Stayed for 3 nights during a trip to area to visit family. Had a very nice 2 bedded Queen room with a large whirlpool tub. The TV was outstanding with perfect High Def and over 100 channels! My kids loved it and that kept them happy at night and in the morning. The room was very clean, up to date and had the most comfortable beds I have ever experienced at a hotel. Breakfast in the mornings was above average with lots of choices including hot eggs and bacon, sausage, ham and they even had Greek yogurt and fresh fruit everyday. The staff was so professional and friendly I would definitely return to this Comfort Inn and will be recommending it to others!
