Stayed at the Comfort Suites in Southgate, MI, and was very happy with the rooms and service at the hotel. When we arrived, the woman at the desk worked to get us an early check in which was so wonderful and appreciated since we had flown in from out of town and needed to freshen up before a wedding in the evening. Comfortable stay with a nice complimentary breakfast in the morning. Close to the airport!

Jackie and Roye were very helpful here. I had a problem on my first night here and the management fixed in the best way. Keep up the good work at this location staff. There's plenty of places to eat around here as well. Comfy rooms and excellent staffing. Two thumbs up.

The staff was very nice, the lobby was beautifully updated and smelled nice. However, once we got out of the elevator to go our room, the smell was not as nice in the hallway, it smelled a little "funky"… Our room didn't have a foul smell at all, in fact it was very nice and clean.

This rated 5 stars based on the average hotels I've been in. (Not the occasional splurge/on business travel hotels that are 3 times, or more, per night) The lobby and hallways have been recently redone and look amazing. The rooms are more out of date, but clean and in good condition. (I have no complaints). We had a two queen bed room, which also includes a pull out couch, mini fridge, microwave, and a kcup coffee maker. No closet so there is a wardrobe with a safe in it. Pool area is good for kids, it's not the smallest, but the nearby Holiday Inn has a very large pool. No hot tub in pool area but some rooms have individual hot tubs. Our bathroom was nice size, I didn't feel like I was hovering around the toilet while trying to brush my teeth or get the shower started. Parking is free. Includes breakfast of make your own waffles, cereal, pastries, eggs, (both boiled & scrambled), bacon, sausage, and of course coffee/juice/milk. The breakfast is not the highest quality I've ever seen, but is above average and will save this family of 4 a little money. For the price of the hotel, the comfort of the room, and breakfast this is a good clean place.

Always clean rooms. Get in where you fit in for semi's. Beautiful staff. Love it every time I stop by.

Our family stayed two nights this past weekend. We enjoyed every bit of it. The room was nice & clean (although there was a huge red stain in the carpet, didn't bother us though) The pool was nice & breakfast was great & Jessica (she did breakfast on Sunday) made it that much better, she was so polite & her smile was very contagious! It was very busy but she kept everything stocked & filled up. Very nice lady. (The lady doing breakfast this morning… ehhh she was a tad grumpy but I guess we all have our days. It was an over all nice stay for my family & I. Would recommend this hotel to friends & family. Thanx.

Rooms were clean and updated. Breakfast selection was awesome and they kept items full. Staff was very helpful, friendly and accommodating as we had a very large group.

Fresh, new construction, decor, and even the pix of Belle Isle were really an unexpectedly nice touch. Breakfast was above expectations regarding content & spaciousness. Will definitely return, good value, personable staff, enjoyable stay.

This is a nice hotel no bugs I stayed for 2 days while I had my dads funeral…

Very quiet & no issues. Could be a little cleaner. But for last minute it served the purpose. I would stay again.

Newer hotel, great service and nice clean rooms.

The room was very nice though has a significant echo which made the whirlpool tub jets twice as loud. Also location of the room was near stairs and could hear every step anyone took. Hotel is near railroad tracks and it sounded like the train was barreling thru our room with horn blowing at around 11:30 pm. Hotel should definitely consider some sound proofing measures to make this room a bit more enjoyable and relaxing. And not sound like a multi travel terminal.

I can’t say enough great things about this hotel and staff. I love it here! It’s my home away from home. They truly treat you like family. It’s a clean and safe environment. The bed is very comfortable. It’s also a convenient location to all highways, shopping and restaurants.

Great, clean rooms. Staff was friendly and helpful (forgot my toothbrush, and they keep guest ones). Right next to mallie's, which has pretty good food and a pool table which has been open both times I've gone in.

Room was well maintained, clean, and fairly new looking. Bathroom was nice with a Jacuzzi for a bathtub. All tile. The complimentary breakfast was really impressive. They served egg omelettes, egg whites, sausage, bacon, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, oatmeal, bread, toast, muffins, donuts, coffee tea, ok and Apple juice. The only reason I have 4 stars is because the hallways smelled like cigarette smoke and the elevator was very slow. Everything else was nice and I got to watch TV while eating breakfast. Would recommend staying here.

From the moment you walk in, amazing entrance, updated rooms, you realize you have gotten a great deal. Weekend breakfast great, fresh, and choices like the standard cereal or bagels to fresh cooked eggs and waffles, to biscuits and gravy that tasted homemade.

We needed a quick place to stay for an emergency visit to Detroit to see a sick family member I was able to book my room online at a very reasonable price and was pleasantly surprised to see that there Hotel have been remodeled the room was large the bathroom nice and there was a large bathroom also the staff was nice and friendly there was a breakfast options included with heart stay nothing fancy but nice never the nevertheless I would definitely repeat a visit.

It was a nice, albeit basic, hotel. The smell was a bit off putting throughout the hotel: a mixture of cigarette smoke and bleach. However, the room appeared clean and was comfortable for the evening. The proximity to the railroad tracks was unfortunate.

Would definitely stay again! Booked through a discount site and got a great deal. Hotel is near the highway but not so near that the noise is a problem. (There is a railroad track nearby, however, so the occasional train whistle. ) The hotel is nicely kept, beautifully decorated, and very clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was fairly standard fare, but everything was fresh and well stocked. It doesn't look like much from the outside, but this is definitely a diamond in the rough.

The location was on northline in southgate, the hotel was well kept and accommodating I would return and refer people.

Very nice hotel room and pool wish they still had the steam room. Wi-Fi was acting up. Breakfast was delicious. Very close too convenient dining nearby Arby's Wendy's McDonald's and Burger King.

The hotel had an amazing value, was clean, and had all the basic amenities you look for at a hotel. I was very happy with my stay.

First off, we left in a hurry from another hotel in the area because of how bad it was. We had 10 rooms for our hockey team, and contacted an employee on short notice (Saturday morning). Within in an hour, she had found us a couple open rooms to sit our belongings before our game (check in generally isn't anywhere until 3-5pm) so that was awesome in itself. She helped us with the rate, and was incredibly cheerful, accommodating, and genuine in the process. When we got back, and finally had fully checked in all 10 rooms, the amenities were great. The breakfast was exactly what we needed before our games, and the rooms were really big, clean, and way more bang for your buck than the rate would lead you to believe. I would highly recommend this hotel, their staff, and them as people. Will 100% stay there again in the future. 10/10

Front desk staff Josh and Roye are very very nice and helpful. The room is great. Beds are comfy. Price is okay for the room being nice. Pools small. But the package deal with the room, Henry Ford museum, and the Greenfield village is great. Good deal for a weekend family vacation or holiday…

Really nice room, great hotel should add a hot tub to the pool area.

Lobby has a very strong fragrance. If you have environmental issues, minimize your contact with it. Send someone down to get you breakfast and enter in side entrance, you'll be fine. Other than that, a nice place. Love the huge room layout, with little living room area.

The room was great, the jacuzzi was wonderful, and the bed was amazing. Great Valentine's Day weekend!

Decent hotel, nice big rooms, over priced for what you get. Pool is clean.

Nice newly renovated rooms. Very clean and comfortable. Only downside is that our window has mold around the edge.

I stayed at the comfort Inn in Romulus Michigan by the airport it was not very clean and the staff was very rude to my son. I have stayed there before and had a great experience not sure what happened this time I was kinda disappointed. I'll try it again in the future.

The room I was in a 2 bed queen was a good size with a pull out couch. Enough for 6 people. The bathroom was very dated. And had the grout peeling off of the tub. Pool was cold, teeth clattering cold and no hot tub. Breakfast was great. And staff was very friendly.

Just about everything no complaints at all really enjoyed the extended stay. Staff was accommodating in every way. Josh was very helpful in securing are room. A special thanks to Heather and Gail kept everything in order and clean miss the coffee they made sure was always available. Thank again Mr & Mrs Robert T Kibler Jr.
