The outdoor pool is very nice but the rest of the property feels outdated and in need of some maintenance. The location is good. The hotel is located in a busy spot which means lots of traffic, but plenty of spots nearby to go to. Very easy and quick to get to Sterling Heights from this hotel. The rooms are about average, nothing special. The air conditioning works well.

Visible mold (the fuzzy kind) on the ceiling above the shower, a bulging bathtub floor that feels like you're showering on top of a waterbed, and a very musty smell to the room. But the beds were comfortable and the pool area looked great, so there's that. I kind of wish they spent some of the pool-area-landscaping money on updating and cleaning the rooms instead.

I booked a room yesterday. When I got to hotel — Front desk old mean woman was very rude and told me to have a seat after they couldn't find my reservation. Waited on the man that just came in. I was there 20 minutes before him. Then she gave us a room without air. It's 90 degrees outside. Worst place ever. Never got the double bed room, put us in a one bed. So two people had to leave. The very worst hospitality we have ever encountered.

Room was nice, comfortable bed. Alarm clock had wrong time and nearby guests were loud throughout the night and strong smell of Marijuana came from some rooms nearby — not the fault of the hotel, though. Pretty good breakfast offered also.

Desk lamp had one light bulb missing. Luggage cart was 'stolen'. Paid $11 for fish & fries with only 1 small tartar sauce served and like 10 ketchup packets dispersed. Ridiculous, who wants to open so many ketchup packets to use for fries. & Marijuana use outside my door, had to walk long way around to isolate grandson from the smell; however it seeped into my room from next door. Police called to area twice, visitor knocking at my door 2.50am looking for neighbor. What kind of place you running, that this is normal? I didn't pay for 4 nights of this…

The room was very nice. The staff is very accommodating. I made reservations at the wrong days inn and they got them transferred for we with no extra cost or fees. Had a great time.

Great friendly staff, very helpful. Clean, nice affordable rooms. Decent location, easily able to access expressways.

Better than the Red Roof Inn, but not great. PROS: Breakfast, shampoos, hair dryer, iron, microwave and tv. CONS: The heater had to either be on or off. I never found a comfortable temp to keep it at. You are not allowed to take breakfast to your room. There's a guard making sure you don't. If you were to though, it's a $15 charge, but it's not great breakfast anyway. All in all: it's a place to stay and get breakfast while you're there. Wouldn't want to spend more than a few days here. Didn't have any issues with people running around or noise.

For the price point you can't beat it. Staff was nice. Area was I concern as it is anytime you stay in a new place, but it was no problem and located near a lot of food and stores.

Quality rooms and facilities for a great price. Must say this location is heads above others in this hotel chain. The rooms are all above what you would get elsewhere for the same price. Comfy beds, a large selection of sizes and features in rooms, and the setting even feels more private, and like a higher priced hotel. Friendly staff and very clean and well maintained.

From the pics I seen online and looking into the cost of the room I thought 80$ was fair. Well the rooms are semi updated the floor tiles are still old and so was the shower tiles and amenities. The room was clean though and smelled good and the Bed was a king size with comfy sheets and pillows and the down feather comfy The down part is the laundry room I even called before reserving the room because I did have a load to wash and did not want to waste time at a laundromat and I was informed they have washers and dryers and they are in good working condition. Yes I asked to make sure because of past issues at other hotels. Well they only had 1 washrr and 1 dryer in this tiny laundry room 1$ for the wash and 1$ for the dryer well I ended up putting 4$ in the dryer with my clothes still being wet. The breakfast is a buffet with hot and cold no menu the juice machine is broke and if you want to take your plate to your room it will cost 15$ a plate "4 Real" Found out the day of check out they have a rewards program and are affiliated with 7, 800 other hotel chains to collect points for free stays at any 1 of their affiliated properties. I asked why was I not informed when I checked in If I wanted to join and she said they dont have to. So I said well If I join now can I have my points added from my stay and she said No. Every 1500 you gey a free night and if this room is 80 and up those points will add up quickly.

WORST Hotel Ever… the heating system did NOT work properly. Had to Try to warm the room by turning the shower on Hot. Talked to Marisa Rodier, the So Called owner, today and she Said that it works fine. When we called, she didn't even know what we were talking about. She was Never was given notice of the problem to go check the room, but LIED and said she went and checked on the system herself and that it wasn't on the correct settings. BS! Their own security/maintenance man came to the room and AGREED that the heat did NOT work properly. He said that the fan would NOT Stay on. To add to the Insults the owner Only gave us a $10.00 credit. Will NEVER patronize this Crappie hotel again. Are there any NEGATIVE Stars Available?

Nice room at a nice rate, few things in the room could have used minor fixing other than that everything was pleasant.

This was the worse hotel I️ ever stayed at. They actually have a breakfast patrol so that you cannot take good to your room. They advertise “free breakfast” online but do not say with terms and conditions. Anyone with small children or disabilities please be advised. They actually have the audacity to have a sign reading you will be charged $15 per plate if you take food to your room. The lady patrolling breakfast is rude and has a bad disposition. The carpet is nasty, and rooms need to be updated. The staff needs a class on customer service! I️ will NEVER bring my daughter one of the Days Inn establishments ever again!

I never had a problem with this location. You check in, go to the rooms, the rooms are a average nice size room. Perfect for 2 people.

Good hotel and nice staff. Breakfast starts at 6am with nothing (not even coffee) before. The courtyard is beautiful even in fall/winter. The major downfall with this establishment, was the location of my room (114). It was right next to the restaurant and bar within the hotel. I heard loud people come and go all times of the night. Other than that, the hotel was clean, safe, and I'd stay again.

If I could give them no stars I would. The manager is horrible and so are the staff. Never again will I visit this place and I WILL NOT EVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE. They stated that they could not use my card because my name was not on it so I payed cash… Still they managed to charge my card for the exact same amount of the cost of the room and now act like they don't have it on file but my bank does. They did absolutely nothing to try to fix this problem. What type of company does this and act like it's okay. I will never visit this place again.

This was the worst hotel to stay in! We just left it and will never book here again. I recently had back surgery and my husband went down to get me breakfast. They told him to take a plate of food up would cost 15.00! Are you kidding me! First I can go anywhere else to get a better breakfast for less and second the breakfast says free. To take it up to your room should be the same. Of course they said its policy… ok well I was a housekeeper and we had free breakfast there too and we let them eat in their room. I will be calling corporate and complaining to them about this. Also housekeeping is not the best as we found hair on the bathroom floor, under bed was not cleaned and they give you 1 tea bag. Only good that came out of this was the bed, very comfortable and soft for my back.

Hotel was nice but the staff wasn't. Had my credit card information stolen by an employee. The hotel is the only place there that could have access to both my card number and security number since I did not use it anywhere else. And all the charges were made by a man who lived nearby. Luckily I was able to catch it as soon as I did so no large damage was done, but it did cause problems on my trip. So I would not recommend staying here unless you want to be the next victim.

MARISA RODIER is the most unprofessional, rude manager ive ever met. Add on: So my friend got a room there and I went to take her to work so she asked me to pay for her room while she finished getting ready. I got up there and she said I cant pay because I cant be a guest there. So im like um petty but okay. So I took my friend up to pay on our way out and she told her she cant renew the room because zhes associated with me! My friend has been through hell these past few dayd! I think she is just self concious so be careful if you're pretty shell do anything to get you out (mind you my best friend looks like a barbie doll & Marisa Rodier is a big girl not the cutest) I had a house keeper knocking on my door 2-3 times a day with my do not disturb sign up because they didnt communicate with the front desk. Sometimes theyll knock and immediately go to let themselves in without even giving you a chance to answere the door. One day when I wasnt fully clothed she knocked on the door (second time today) and asked if I played for my room. First off why are you repeatedly knocking on my door with a do not disturb sign up to ask questions that you should be asking the front desk? But I nicely answered with my head barely peeked out since I wasnt dressed. A minute later front desk called saying house keeping said it looked like I was smoking in my room!

I had my two kids with me when checking in late at night, so I was only concerned with giving them a bath feeding them and putting them to bed. While washing them I noticed back mold on the ceiling. The tile in the bath was not clean. Then when I put them to bed I noticed a huge red stain on the comforter! I through the comforter on the ground. The fridge wasn't working. No came to fix it and I had to put the food away. No one replsced tge comforter. The carpet was gross. They charge u $15 a plate if u dont eat in the restaurant. I'm never coming back.

Would not let us pay for a third night with Credit Card on phone. We had already left room for day.

The room was in a good location. The bathroom had hair all over the floor, the tile in the bathroom was filthy, the carpet had several pieces of gum stuck on the floor and chair in the room was dirty. There is a small free breakfast but it was not enough of a variety for me. They have waffles and granola not much else and no fresh fruit or eggs.

The front desk workers are very nice. There is only stairs to reach the second floor which is inconvenient to both the handicap and those who have heavy or abundant luggage. The carpet in the room was dirty. I took a shower and between the bathroom and the bed where I went to put on my socks and shoes my feet became black. I had to go back to the bathroom and wah my feet again. The room seems really humid despite the ac being on. I wouldn't recommend staying here.

I would not recommend staying at this inn. I have nothing but trouble since I checked in. Rooms are not updated. Old carpet, closets, chairs (not fit to sit in), a/c not working and no repair people onsite. As for breakfast, you have to show your room receipt to get breakfast, but you have to eat it in the breakfast room Don't bother to take it back to your room or you are charged $15! Breakfast should be free and able to take it where you want to!

Pity the workers who are afraid of the Bear manager that lies and throws families into the street. Went apt hunting, forgot to renew the room — after staying there 3 weeks! The Bear says they don't have my phone to contact us. Also lied about Owner NOT being there when TWO people stated that he was. 1-yr old and 4-yr old tossed out with no warning. The Porter, Emanuel, Chris & others (housekeeping) are all GREAT. The Owner needs to FIRE the Bear, promote Emanuel. I hope the "conference" & wedding are worth it.

As of June 30th 2016 the restaurant is close until August. The pool rules are dumb. I drove 9hours to see family I never meet. I reserve the room thinking I could have them over on day to use the pool, since I have the room for 5 days. Nope only people who stay in the room and the ask for names and how many. When you get to the hotel makes sure you have $50 deposit set aside for the deposit, the booking agent didn't tell me this and the guy was a jerk at the hotel when I said that. He said it was on our website. I said I didn't use your website to book my room. I was told my room will face the court yard. Nope! I got a room facing the a wall. Bathroom door sticks so if you get room 222 you will have to kick it with you foot to open it. When you go to breakfast you have to carry a pice of paper with you so I have to carry this paper around for 5 days. Pretty dumb. Well I've only been here an hour so hopefully nothing else goes wrong. I will not stay here a gain. Also I book with Expedia will not use them again as well.

Horrible poor management! They let every thug in the neighborhood in here! Couldn't enjoy the pool they had bowel movement 2 times disgusting!

The room was nicer than I expected. It was clean, neat and tidy upon our arrival. Everything in the room was in working order. The type of room we stayed in was a hot tub room. There was a beautiful view of the courtyard and the pool from the balcony. The customer service was top notch. There was a deluxe continental breakfast which was included in the price of our stay. There were many food options; both hot and cold as well as juices, tea, hot chocolate and coffee. Overall, our stay was awesome and I will be referring my friends there. We will be returning in the future without a doubt.

Hotel desk clerk was very helpful during check in and check out. However, the bathroom floor was a little dirty, stray hairs on floor. There was no shower curtain in the bathroom as well. In the room itself only one light worked and the alarm clock was not set or plugged in. Pool was also a nice addition.

Very beautiful court yard. Needed 2 rooms last minute and they were happy to try to help us.

Ac didnt work. When they said they would have it fixed they didnt. Breakfast lady was rude and slow at refilling buffet items. The buffet food tasted bad. Maybe things will be better after the remodel.

Very dirty, paid extra money for a jacuzzi tub that didn't even work. The rooms were supposed to be newly renovated but my room looked like it belonged in an old trailer.

It's a great place to get away and relax. The courtyard is gorgeous and it's even better looking in the summer time. The staff is friendly, the rates are reasonable, and the hotel is near a lot of restaurants, the mall, and a grocery store. This place also has a beautiful banquet facility for weddings and parties.

I dont write reviews unless I really have to. I book at this hotel all the time but my last 3 times was sooo horrible that I wont EVER book here again. First off I booked for the room with the Kichentte in it ONLINE then got in there and she tells me that room is already taken she gave me another room but stilll that was strike one then I booked there again the following weekend and we found a USED CONDOM on the floor which had me so pissed so I called the front desk and ask for her to have room service remove it because I had already unpacked and didn't wanna change rooms so shes like will no staff is here so I really cant do anything which was the 2nd problem! then my last stay I called to ask the room service to come clean our rooms while we was gone and the room never got clean! I WILL BE CALLING THE MANAGER TODAY AND NEVER BOOKING HERE AGAIN TRUST ME!

I loved my stay at this hotel. Everything was great.

It has an in house bar, banquet facilities, and a restaurant. The staff is great!

The stank like wet dog and carpet had food on it and the bed made me itch. Need to clean the carpets.

Breakfast was good (for a free breakfast), room was spotless, ample parking. Didn't get a chance to check out the pool as it is way too cold.

My stay was very very awful, my air was not working, the toilet was broke. The maintenance dude left poop all over our bathroom and didnt say anything. Very rude service.

I stayed here for my class reunion. This was a beautiful place. Everything was great. No complaints at all, and I loved my jacuzzi suite.

I would not recommend this hotel. We were parked next to an SUV that was up on blocks in the parking lot, first night, its tires and wheels had been stole. We also were informed that an unrelated robber had been shot and killed that same night by the police just down the street. The biggest problem is the bed bugs. We are still trying to speak to someone who cares about their problem, which they have admitted to when our party showed pictures of them.

We was over charged and when we was told to talk to the Manager Rita, she was very very very rude and disrespectful. My husband would have stayed for several weeks if she would have honored the price quoted. Id rather sleep in my car than stay at this hotel. Oh and bathroom was dirty upon arrival.

Breakfast was gross, front counter was slow, rooms on small side, ac unit was filthy.

Made on-line reservation on 4-28-13 for 05-04-12 and called on Mon 4-29-13 to cancel and was told that I can not cancel. Because I gave my credit card information and it was charged. I have stayed In many hotels in the past and was always able to change/cancel my reservation within reasonable time. And 6 days is a reasonable time. In addition I was told I got a special rate, and they can not cancel it. Really? Because it was the same rate on best western website (that where I made reservation from) as was provided to me over the phone. So please tell me how that was a special rate. Service over the phone was rude and tried to prove to me that I should have known bc it says that during reservation. I have never seen any hotels where reservations can not be cancelled 6 day prior. Never again I will stay in best western and you guys beware and do not be scammed.
