The place might look a little run down but in fact it's amazing. The beds are amamzing and the rooms are awesome. The staff is very kind and friendly. It is close to a downtown style area and it's amazing. I will defiently be back for sure.

Great hotel. Great staff. This reviewer was there for the Woodward Dream Cruise. This hotel provided complimentary hot dogs and hamburgers to the guests. This hotel is located right on Woodward Avenue so one has a great view of the Dream Cruise. This hotel is located near wonderful downtown Birmingham where one can enjoy many wonderful shops and restaurants.

Speaking with the associate at the front desk, Elaine was worth the whole trip. Very informative as well as a joy to talk to. Thank you for all of your help making my stay comfortable and fun. The room is nice and the view was a decent city view from my balcony. Only reason not 5 stars is no points for those who choose not to get their rooms cleaned etc. But Elaine is why I didn't give it 3 stars ;) thank you.

What a great location. Staff was very very friendly and even had snacks in the lobby waiting. My room was clean and easily accessible on the 3rd floor. My only complaints about my room was the lack of sound deadening between rooms and the bath/shower faucet was leaking and very loose. Minor things though. We were checked out promptly with no issues.

Decent overnight hotel. Access is easy from Woodward, but the signage isn't great, so it comes up quick. The rooms are clean and comfortable, but we did have a problem with the housekeeping folks not cleaning our room. The front desk got us new towels, though, so the problem was quickly fixed. All in all, decent.

I've stayed here a couple times. A nice place with friendly staff and my breakfast was complimentary.

So the hotel is ok. Staff is pretty friendly. Messed up two of the three bills in our party. If we had not brought it to their attention, they would have made $400 off the two of us. As a Spire Elite member I expect better than I got. I was not recognized initially as this status. I had to request my free upgrade, when I should have gotten it automatically. The cookies at night are awesome! My TV remote never worked right. The channel button never worked. Tried 4 remotes over 2 nights and never got one to work. I lived, but should not have happened. The shower was a bit odd. I am 5' 11" and shower was at my shoulder level. I had to bend down to get the water over my shoulders and squat for my head. Not cool. The Cable on the TV kept going out every few minutes for about 10 seconds. Very strange. Kept happening all night every night. Breakfast was awesome as always and the staff was good. You do need to check out the stairway across from the elevator. Worth a quick trip down. I posted pictures of it. All Detroit stuff, but cool none the less. Nice job on whomever put these displays up.

Older hotel with average amenities. Could do with being renovated/updated. Within easy walking distance of downtown Birmingham after crossing Woodward.

Clean rooms with a pleasant staff. Good for quick trips.

My first time ever in Michigan and the company put us up in this small town of Birmingham local holiday inn. The rooms are fabulous and auper clean! the staff is very damn attentive and possess a great personality and attitude. My favorite so far is Ava at the desk, she knows the area and all the Hotspots too. Washea the housekeeper is very friendly and leaves your room immaculate. I hope to be back soon because you all rock!

The very patient woman at the front desk was very accomadating when my key dodnt work three times in a row. She got me in another room just in case it happened again. Room is comfortable and nice. Easy walk to fantastic food.

Room was very comfortable and clean, whatever was very cold at night, and the heat was not working until I called the reception for extra blankets. The service and all stuff was very friendly. The hotel offers a complementary breakfast, with a good variety.

Wonder staff, very knowledgeable about the surrounding restaurants, clean room.

As a disabled traveler it's difficult sometimes to find the right hotel but this Holiday Inn Express in Birmingham Michigan is a top-notch facility. Nason and the rest of the staff could. Do more for me. Price is right and the room is great so I definitely will be coming back here again.

Was there for the woodward cruise. Didn't go inside or anything but a bunch of cars were there and it was cool.

I think the hotel is doing wonderful! Seen some updates and the staff was great! The hotel management had a BBQ for the guest. Hot dog's, Burgers and chips for all. Make your reservation for next year. A very friendly hotel, even made new friends with other guest. Watching the cruise was perfect!

A small but nice hotel and friendly staff. One thing that is unique about this hotel is that there are a few covered parking spaces.

Location is convenient but building is plainly dated. Service is good but nothing to write home about. Perfect for a night or two stay while working.

I stayed for dream cruise week I seen and heard things I could not Believe from housekeeper. The GM was never on point with her staff from my eye it seem to me that the housekeeper that have been at this place for year ran the place not management. They have a no head housekeeper I asked one of the lady who I could talk with about why my room was not done and she told me to go to front desk to have are room cleaned the GM and a other lady came up to clean it no reason for that when you have housekeepers to do it but it got done. I sure hope they get this place turned around before the next dream cruise before the upset more paying customers and am sure The owners do not know how this place is run at all it is a Shame. If I owned it I would fire all the staff and start over that is the only way they will ever have a clean and fit hotel for customers to check into by getting rid of the old and bringing new in … I wish this place the best of luck.

Gave me wrong sized room. Our whole family was traveling together. I reserved a double room and a king room, but they were "sold out before you made that reservation". Instead I a king room a single room with a rusty roll away bed that the maintenance man hand to lay sideways on the floor and kick the metal latch to releasethe lock leaving a shoe print, the carpet was dirty, not stained and the doors were rusty. We arrived at 11 pm with 3 kids and motherin law so we stayed, but never will recommend this to anybody.

It was a nice stay. The workers were very friendly and the breakfast was great as well. Was not disappointed.

Older Holiday Inn, room was updated. Shower left much to be desired. Typical breakfast, super friendly staff. Good location, right on Woodward.

The hotel was clean and conveniently located near downtown Birmingham. I loved the pancake machine in the breakfast area. The hotel is a bit older, but still a quality place to stay.

The kitchen staff was amazing. Thanks Charmane! The hotel was quiet. I would have given 5 stars but unfortunately the housekeeping was in a bit of a rush for us to depart before our checkout and interrupted our much needed rest by knocking on the door 5 times. Other than that, awesome place to stay.

Everything was great, bathroom is very clean and breakfest was good.

The place was under construction. They had no place to get something to eat, had to walk 3 blocks. Ran out of hot water during morning shower. Other than that it was great.

Forget any reviews over 6 months old. This hotel has been completely remodeled and its a great place to stay. Everything is modern and clean. The breakfast is first rate, bacon, eggs, pancakes, muffins all fresh. This is a very nice and hotel and the best value in Birmingham. The place looks like new.
