When we called in advance we were told the pool and breakfast was opened. I also booked a rollaway bed.
Once we arrived we found the pool closed and breakfast we are told is only grab and go. We were also told we weren't allowed a rollaway bed because it's a fire hazard. (which I get but why have it as a option to book online)
my kids are totally bummed as we booked this hotel specifically to swim and get the kids out of the house.
it also seems we are one of the only people here but when asked if we can switch to a jacuzzi room (so the kids have something to do) we were told nope there booked… but the parking lot is completely empty. Such a bummer.

Stayed in room 100 11/30/18 and the entire room smelled like mold badly. Ceiling near window had mold on it in a big area, also the wall was buckled from ceiling down to window. Told the front deck and their response was ok, we will let someone know. Before even saying the room number the woman at the desk said oh, room 100. My husband said it's obvious you know, so you should shut that room down until you figure out the problem and fix it.

I love this hotel and their staff. My only issue is that on a free points weekend I should not have been billed for a portion of my stay. $63.60 was purportedly being billed to their home office however my credit card was billed. Not cool!

Great stay. Only downfall, no food close to hotel. Great and friendly staff.

The front desk receptionist (Cheryl? ) was great! Handled multiple guests, our crazy kids and check in with great hospitality, efficiency, humor and ease. Thank you! Also, I was pleasantly surprised by the spaciousness of our room. We could fit our family of four, a pack and play, all our bags AND have room to spread out and play. Our room was clean and modern. It's located next to Meijer and the highway, perfect for our family travels. We lucked out booking here! Thank you!

Service was courteous and quick. Good free continental breakfast and other good amenities — nice pool.

Always works well for our short visits to family in Charlotte. Rooms are clean, internet is suitable and, the kids enjoy the pool. The breakfast is pretty typical, with a rotating menu of hot food, cereal, and other stuff. The pancake machine is pretty awesome, though, and makes surprisingly good pancakes. If you need a cheap room in this area, this is always my go-to, they never let me down.

The location is good as there is a grocery store right beside it. The room is OK, but the vent in my room is not working. Service OK, not thing special.

It was very good. The rooms are clean and where you get breakfast is really clean and if there is something wrong with your room or anything they will try their best to fix it.

The cleanliness has decreased. Lotion bottle found covered in inch of dust behind TV stand & the carpet is thick with dust back there. Hopefully things can get better.

Rooms were very nice and clean they had a pool and a hot tub refrigerator and microwave in the rooms I enjoyed my stay they also had a fitness room and a continental breakfast.

Breakfast was fantastic and the staff was very helpful. I like the Keurig in the room! The room needed dusting and the TV remote overly complicated. We booked a night to attend a festival and the kids looked forward to using the pool. The pool isn't heated as far as we could tell and the hot tub was filthy, had no jets, and grime just floated on the top of the water. When we showered in the room after the pool, I ran out of hot water. The hotel is older and I don't mind that, but given the price difference between this hotel and another down the road, plus the fact that it is a HIE, I was disappointed.

I just made a reservation and the woman was extraordinarily rude. I hope our stay doesn’t reflect this ugly attitude.

Room was clean and updated. Front desk staff was helpful and friendly, and the breakfast area was pretty standard, but had good options.

Perfect weekend getaway! Indoor pool, hot tubs, and free breakfast (: it's also usually quiet so sleeping isn't as difficult as other places.

Hot tub, jacuzzi baths, conviently located next to Meijer and urgent care. Nice small town restaurants. Not far from Lansing.

Service has been adequate. Hot breakfast adequate. Bathroom looks like some work has been done on the tub. Not terrible, probably the best of the surrounding area that I've seen.

Front desk unhelpful with error in our reservation causing us to pay $30 more per night. Kept losing Wi-Fi connection which was slow and erratic, cabinet door to fridge access was broken, ice machine on our floor had been removed necessitating trips to other floors. Toilet did not flush properly. Discovered two wadded up bath towels behind a chair when we tried to plug in an unplugged floor lamp. The room itself was satisfactory and the breakfast was identical to other HolIday Inn Expresses we had been to. Calls to front desk were not answered. REPLY: Your reply below is noted. What would have been appreciated is help at the time needed, "How can I help you with this? " would have gone a long way at the time. After an 8 hr drive, the last thing a traveler wants to hear is to go fix the reservation yourself. Your guest computer/Wi-Fi never processed the new reservation (that we were making 20 feet from the front desk) and we ended up having to use my phone. A 30 minute delay seems like an eternity after a long day. In fact, I have never had such a response, and makes me wonder what benefit the HI Exp membership is.

Dirty towels were left in the room on the floor. The refrigerator cabinet door was hanging off. The online reservation site misleadingly defaulted to a different date than what we wanted so we had no reservations, the front desk did not honor our wrongly dated reservation price and we had to pay more per night, thry were not accommodating at all.

Clean room, Decent service. Only issue was with the drunk idiots next door, but that was resolved by the front desk employee, though she had to come up twice to get them to quiet them down.

Front desk service was slow and not super friendly but the hotel and rooms were clean and well kept.

Bed and linen super comfy. House keeping staff were very helpful and friendly. Gave it a rating of 4 stars and not 5 due to the spider webs under the air/heating sysyem under the window. Stayed in room 319.

Located conveniently close to a Meijer. About a half hour away from MSU, which is why I have stayed there. A wonderful stay, everything was great. Service was fine, the room had everything. Good value and location.

Check in was easy, person checking us in was very friendly. Room was neat, bed was not comfortable, room got very warm at night even with air turned all the way. It was all most as if the units were turned off. Famly members were traveling with said the same thing. About 5:30am you could feel the air and room got cold. Pool was ok.

It's in a nice location for what we were doing and is pretty clean. Rooms are nice and breakfast as well. Found a pretty weird bug in sink though.

Discovered dirty clothes in a drawer from the last customer that had stayed there. Brought it to the attention of the desk and they shrugged it off. Unfortunately it was found as we were clearing the room before check out. The staff acted like it was a common problem and thanked me.

We stayed in the executive suites third floor front. Rooms were in very good shape, clean and amenities were very good. Room included a kureg, microwave, sink and all the expected features minus plates and cups. Pillows even came with soft and firm options and were labeled. We used the pull out couch as well and was in brand new. The tub was fairly small and touchy trying to find a happy temperature. No problems with room and would stay there anytime. Breakfast bar was included and about par for what is expected nothing real special except the awsome cinnomen rolls. Overall very good stay.

One of the best hotel experience I have ever had! The ladies that were working the front desk when we arrived on April 2, 2016 around 230pm were amazing! These ladies had a great sense of humor and were very sweet and helpful! Our room was clean and so was the whole facility! Keep up the great work, I would stay there again in a heart beat and recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to stay! Those two ladies deserve a bonus!

We used the meeting room for a firmal event, the room was more then big enought for our 40-some guest. The only downside was that the room had no doors leading outside and we could not unlock the door leading into the room.

Picked and dropped frind staying. Clean rooms and friendly. Internet did not work though kept getting a server error when trying to validate.

Hotel staff was very pleasant and friendly. Rooms were clean. Easy truck parking.

I recently stayed at this Holiday inn location and very much enjoyed my stay. The hotel is very clean the staff is very friendly A++

Nice clean room with fridge however the pool has algea and the hot tub had ashes in it and mucus around the edges. Overall not a good value. If I wanted a hotel room without a pool I could of paid 60 bucks for this kind of quality. Holiday Inn is really letting their quality go down a few more years and it will be the equivalent to Baymont Inn.
