Very nice place close to everything.

The location is good and the staff is good.

They have a nice pool and hot tub, they also have an exercise room.

Upon walking in, you are greeted with a smiling face, the check-in was fast and I was told that if I needed anything, just ask. When you are leaving the lobby, you'll see a seating area where guests are offered complimentary breakfast starting at 6am. The decor is new and modern and very nice. My room had a king size bed that was extremely comfortable and very nice. I would definitely stay here again!

Horrible managers. No one seems to be able to handle a simple billing issue regarding a hold on the card we supplied when we checked in. The male "assistant manager" was horrendous speaking to… the best way to describe their customer service is they walk around a problem with no resolution skills and tell you well there's nothing we can do for you in the most polite voice.

I am a huge Marriott fan and this place is a fail. Somehow they had no more extra pillows. I travel with kids and need the pullout sofa. I called for more pillows and towels and besides the hotel staff being largely unresponsive, they couldn't seem to find a single extra pillow. Also, the pool towels we're closer to be stratchy hand towels than anything capable of wrapping around yourself. Breakfast was great like most of my experiences and beds were comfortable. Housekeeping staff is quick to come in and make the beds but not read any notes for extra cups or towels… probably find a different Marriot or even someplace else, next time I am in town.

The hotel is near a bunch of stores that cater to a variety of needs. The rooms are always clean and I enjoy the inclusion of a desk, microwave, and mini fridge. If you need anything changed in the room they are more than happy to change it to your needs.

Rooms are large and open. Internet service is good. Breakfast offers basic options but sufficient for its purpose. Parking is convenient and close. Located off the main thoroughfare and in a relatively quiet area. I stay at this location every time I am in town.

Super quiet, nice and clean, wonderful bed. Located in a corner away from city noise but close to stores as well. Will certainly stay again.

The room is incredibly MASSIVE, think just shy of a large studio apartment. The cleaning service is consistent, and done well. Bedding is soft, and climate control is managed by a thermostat next to my bed (king size). The staff is professional, and gets everything they need to get done on a first (or last) name basis. Complimentary breakfast is not only varied but beyond satisfactory, with fresh oatmeal, (and a half dozen+ toppings) slices of cheese ham and turkey for sandwiches, scrambled (real, not powdered, and diced up into chunks) eggs, along with a choice meat every day. Milk, yogurt, and 4 different juices are available either on tap or in a carton. Fresh gourmet cake slices are available, along with bagels of 2 variations, pre-sliced croissants and whole grain bread. Fresh strawberries, canteloupe, and honeydew melon are made available as well as other fruits. Staying here on a business trip; I feel rather spoiled. Breakfast is the best meal to be able to walk 10 steps to in the morning. All this fails to mention their incumbents system, and the fact that yesterday I got a couple fresh baked (I believe) chocolate chip cookies for free. Bottled water is available for free at the desk, but any variation of amenties can be retrieved and simply placed on a tab billed to a voluntary card of your choice.

Staff was extremely nice. We had a small problem with our room but they took care of it quickly.

Attended a meeting at Springhill and it seemed very nice and clean. The staff was very polite.

Staff was friendly but overwhelmed, needed an extra blanket and pillow for my autistic child but never got them, husband finally had to go to front desk to ask again for it, (never got the pillow), no pool towels, hot tub chemicals were very strong, room still had pieces of party streamers on the ceiling from a previous guest, mixed drinks at the bar were $10! We are frequent members because it's one of the few hotels that have rooms for our family of 6 but we'll be checking out new places before thinking about coming back. On the plus side, the breakfast was very good! Beautiful place!

I just spent two nights in this beautiful hotel on business. The swimming area is well kept and sanitary. The fitness center has many options to choose from. The morning breakfast bar is freshly cooked and many options to choose from. The hotel room is absolutely beautiful and has plenty enough space. The hotel staff is very curtious and professional also while accommodating your needs. I highly recommend this hotel. Not one negative thing to say! (Only concern is had a feeling the bed sheets havent been cleaned, just remade before we stayed) — no way to prove that so Therefore I did not include this in my rating.

This place has really gone down very short staffed all the time. Upon entering our room we notice an unpleasant smell. The shower was dirty there was hair on the wall and shower curtain. The towels and bedspread looked very dingy. Over all experience not comfortable. I called the front desk and they seemed mad at me for telling them how the room looked they did nothing at all to try and make it better. I waisted over $300 trying to relax for the weekend. Never again I do not recommend the Springhill Suites to anyone.

This is the most discourteous hotel I've ever had the pleasure of staying in. This had been my regular go to hotel when I'm in Grand Rapids up to this point. Due to inclement weather coming into Southeast Michigan. I had to cancel my plans for coming up to Grand Rapids for a meeting. Though it was under the 48-hour cancellation policy, it was not know how severe the weather was going to be. I've made a change of plans/cancellation prior for other Marriott I've stayed in due to unforeseen circumstances (such as severe weather) and they've been courteous to not charge the cancellation fee. This is THE FIRST MARRIOTT I've ever stayed in where they won't honor that courtesy (And I was a platinum marriott member for several years). Not only would they not provide that courtesy but they told me that I called them earlier to and gave a different excuse for cancelling. Telling me that I called in and gave a different reason. The people were very unpleasant and I will no longer be a patron of their facility. They're management and ownership cares more about one night than keeping a customer for years to come (I've been staying only there for 3 years). Poor customer service and a lack of understanding the situation.

I attended for a business conference. You are immediately greeted by the best staff and welcomed into the hotel. The staff was very accommodating to special request. The hotel has a indoor swimming pool / whirlpool and nice exercise area. While we did not stay in the rooms overnight, are colics who did stay there said it was quite comfortable and clean. They did offer us there shuttle service to the airport which was greatly appreciated.

It was a decent room for the night next to the airport. Squeaky floors and overall old rooms. But the location is decent. It's behind a target and had many food options close by. Wouldn't mind staying here again if I have an early morning flight out of grand rapids. They have a shuttle to the airport as well.

Stayed here overnight in route to a project. Staff was very friendly and the room was somewhat typical for a Springhill. Clean, comfortble and well maintained. Unlike many Springhills this one had a tub as opposed to just a shower. The one complaint I had was that the heat was off in the room ans it was around close to zero degrees outside. Took a while for the room to warm up. Otherwise all was good.

My family and I stayed there for New Years really nice place clean, atmosphere was great we had two rooms which they put right next to each other. Both double beds and a pull-out sofa so it accommodated everyone. The front staff was very friendly and the room staff was very friendly every time we seen them in the Halls everyone greeted us, nice pool and hot tub area, will definitely stay there again.

The staff made the experience great. However, the shuttle was not running. Just in case that happens to fellow travelers, call the hotel and they will send a cab. If you are leaving in the morning make sure to tell the front desk, so if the shuttle isn't running they can call a cab. Due to the weather it took almost 50 mins for a cab. They staff was super friendly and very attentive.

Very nice hotel. Appears to be newer. Not sure when it was built. Our first time there. Very friendly staff and incredibly nice facility. They had free coffee too. We attended an event located in one of their conference rooms.

The breakfast bar had plenty of healthy options like glden delicious apples, peach yogurt, and oatmeal. I also liked the little store by the front desk I could buy Wine and those little go picnic boxes with hummus. 10/10 would sleep with again.

Fine for a quick overnight. Very convenient to the airport. Wish they started serving breakfast earlier for the morning flight guests.

Beautiful facility, and a wonderful room! The pool is a little bit small and the jets in the whirlpool didn't always run when supposed to, but it was very relaxing and we had the pool to ourselves for almost two hours! The beds were a little hard, but we had more than enough space in our room! The 'market' is definitely for convenience, not a lot of choices and you will pay for the convenience. Breakfast was great! Waffles, muffins, fresh fruit, yogurt, eggs, sausage, bagels, toast, cereal, coffee, tea, milk, fruit juices… Quite a variety! Check out time is at noon, which is nice to have the extra time to pack and lounge before you leave! Staff was friendly and professional! I personally enjoyed all of the beautiful pictures on the walls too!

Pleasant staff. Clean and updated rooms. Beds are just soft enough. Asked for extras before we arrived and all was taken care of. Large pool and minimal exercise rooms with treadmills and dumbbells. Plenty of parking.

Everyone was very polite, we were there for a competition and th hotel was 20 minutes away from the arena, I give it a try and actually we were very happy thank you again to the front desk personnel for making is very welcome. Room was clean pool was awesome. We had a couch for our 3rd bed love the hotel.

Check in experience was great. I stay here often for work. Room was clean and comfortable. The only issue I had this time was there was no hair dryer in the room and I had to leave by 5am. I called down and the front desk was great about bringing me on. However that one the handle was broken and it wouldn't turn on. I gave up and wore my hair wet. Other than that my stay was great.

Great stay. Clean, large room. Easy check-in, check-out and marketplace shop with good selection of snacks and drinks to buy. Nice breakfast as well. Very close to the airport.

Lovely hotel. Close to everything. The only reason I didnt give it 5 stars is because they need to have safes in the rooms and there should be 2 tv's in the King Suite. Breakfast was great. Atmosphere was too.

A decent hotel, with courteous staff and nice facilities, although somewhat dated. Very spacious rooms, which I'd prefer to have a nicer kitchen, rather than a big closet.

I came here expecting good customer service and got the exact opposite. Apparently staffing thought it was a good idea to leave someone inexperience person to multitask. She took 15 minutes to check us in and plus offered us a clean or dirty room. It gets even worst me and my partner thought we were actually coming to come into a room instead we walked to the end of the hall and found a room that doesn't exist. So we ended up leaving because of the horrible service. Please be aware of going here at night to check in.
