Resort is rundown. Hallways have stained and torn carpet. Breakfast is not good (all pre made junk). Room was musty smelling. We have stayed here many times, it was getting better with remodeled rooms and nice restaurants but has gone downhill. Golf course is ok there are better ones nearby. AC unit doesn’t keep the room cool. Very musty — old smell. We will stay elsewhere.

We stayed at the resort for the weekend for a wedding. It is an older resort but I liked it. Our room was nice and clean and all the staff I encountered were very pleasant and helpful. We and others staying there enjoyed the pool and fireplace room. We also went to Curley's — the bar there — and had good food, great atmosphere, and our server was great.

Was supposed to have an upgraded suite room. The room was not anything close to the pictures on there website. When we arrived the desk person was rude, our entrance to our room was covered in spiders and the concrete was all broken. The room was not a suite and everything was disgustingly dirty. The air conditioner stopped working at 9pm. Oh… and the restaurants on site per the rude desk guy were closed for dinner during our planned 3 night stay. We should have left right then, but stayed one night and then left. This is no golf resort! Yes there’s a golf course there, but it was in need of repair. I will never be back and hope this review helps though thinkn about staying there don’t! Go down the road 1/4 mile and stay at the Holiday Inn Express.

We stayed Thursday night. The front desk was rude, the hotel fire alarms went off at 2am. Apparently a malfunction. Emailed manager on Friday and have heard nothing back.

Had a great family weekend full of sledding, snowboarding, skiing, and snowmobiling.

Excellent customer service from Elaine at the front desk. Highly recommend!

We stayed on our way up north, a random last minute pick. Enjoyed our first night so much, that we ended up returning the same weekend due to rain up north while camping. Clean, great service, good food at breakfast and dinner. The pool area is the best! We will return for a golf trip sometime soon.

Very dissatisfied with the golf course. I left my new Bushnell range finder on my cart at almost 9 pm (my fault) but it was never found the next morning? I hope someone is enjoying my new Xmas present.

We loved our experience at Evergreen. Our room was small, but we expected that as it is an older resort. The updates to the room were nice, the beds were comfy. My kids, 5 and 8, loved the pool, hot tub and the breakfast buffet. Lots of options for food and the waffles were a hit! We ate at Curly’s for dinner and had a lovely meal. Our waitress, Joanne, was amazing and really made it fun for our kids. Great selection of beers and the fish fry was great. Typical bar food. In fact, every staff member we encountered was helpful and many went above and beyond. We will definitely be back!

Snowmobile trip… this is perfect location… right off the trail and super nice people. And comfortable beds…

Outstanding location, wonderful staff, karaoke on Friday nights. Great venue to host events or relax while you visit Up North.

We stopped on a whim, never imagining we’d get a room with our two dogs on a walk-in, but we did! The place was clean, comfortable and accommodated both of my dogs. We’d go back in a second. Very happy.

The rooms are fully renovated. Super clean. TV very clear. Golf course in nice condition. Excellent breakfast included. 2 rounds of golf very nice room. All for 85 dollars. Per person. Had a wonderful time.

Our stay at the Evergreen Resort was very pleasant the accommodation was first class, the breakfast buffet was excellent. The staff was very nice and helpful.

who wants a true Michigan experience!

My fiance and I stayed over Memorial weekend and enjoyed every minute of our stay. The room was clean and quiet, the food was excellent (Whitefish sandwich at Curley's was fantastic as was the chicken picatta in the restaurant) and the staff was the the best we've encountered in the state, especially our waiter for dinner on Saturday night, Tom. My family owns a catering company and I would hire any of your staff we encountered in a heart beat. We do a Shanty Creek timeshare weekend in the fall, but Evergreen will be a weekend trip for us several times this summer. I cannot say enough good things about this place. Go check them out, you won't be disappointed!

Perfect place for meetings, as the facility was clean, the lay-out of where you want to be was convenient, nice rooms, good food! Thank you, great staff!

Thank goodness we are checking out, had a bad experience on the golf course. We have been coming here on a annual golf trip for 5 years with our kids and have had nothing but a pleasurable time. This time the course was crowded, I was being very mindful of not taking too much time and speeding my kids along. At one of the holes my son got in to the sand trap and I told him make sure you rake it up after, I continued to look for my ball and finish the hole. We moved on to the next hole and was waiting for the group ahead of us, meanwhile the man behind us rudely comes up to me and said “ I need to make sure my son is raking up the sand trap that we are ruining golf for everyone. I explained to him The situation apologized and as I went over to rake which had multiple size footprints he continues to tell me “that I’m a parent and I need to teach my kids young”. Then he calls the ranger on us. The ranger was apologetic and understanding. We took pictures of every sand trap which had footprints in it. After we finished the worse part was the ranger told us that HE WAS THE OWNER, he apologized again and said they would of never come up to us but the owner had complained. Poor business will not return!

Great place to golf in Cadillac. All 27 holes are nice. Excellent excellent price, Especially when you use a discount golf app.

Only been to both restaurants, not the course or rooms, and Sunday brunch is perfect. Wonderful Staff, we have an excellent waitress named Elizabeth we look for everytime.

Loved this course. Came with a big group and they accomadeted us very well. Course was in great condition.

A very nice hotel, the staff was friendly and helped us decide where to get dinner and drinks! The bad was the pool was closed the day we went for cleaning, actually that was the main reason I choose that hotel over another. But the breakfast was phenomenal and made up for the pool being down overall 7/10 stars for me.

Went to find raising event, Staff was excellent, food was great and the place has great views over looking the landscape.

Not impressed! Food was horrible and cold. Had broccoli tht had mold on it and they say tht it was just burnt. Service was ok till I said I didn't care for my meal cuz the menu said Asiago cheese sauce and it wasn't. Then they were very rude and told me tht its healthier for me anyway. Will not go back! Specially at $20 per dish.

Best hotel in michigan. Great rooms and rates. Ice pool, good food, and nice staff.

I have stayed at this establishment many times over many years and it is usually very pleasant. This time the room I was given was not up to the same standards it usually is. It was very small, no writing desk or chair (which I needed for work), the security lock was broken right off of the door and it had an odd odor. One of the beds had a big dip on the side of it. It was still comfortable, but you had to becareful not to roll to close to that edge or you would roll right off. It was adequate and clean, except for the odd odor. If I had not checked in so late, I would have asked for a different room mainly because if the smell. I hope this isn't a taste of things to come at the Evergreen, I like staying here. I would still recommend this hotel, but a good customer should get a good room too. It was not at capacity the evening I stayed.

Nice place with pool, hot tub and sauna. If you like strong coffee, bring your own.

The service is always good, as well as the food. And the golf is even better! With 27 holes you just can't go wrong!

If you're looming for a course with a well appointed bar, resturants and pro shop, thus is not the place to play. But if you're looking for 27 beautiful, varied and well maintained golf holes this is the place to go. Winds through the hills, woods and swamps, resulting in a very interesting place to play golf.

A very unique and historic hotel. We travel here as a family from Ohio every Thanksgiving and we are always impressed on how the staff is polite and helpful. The restaurant and Curly's bar have excellent food and the same consistent quality that we have come to expect over the years. We look forward to staying here in the future.

Room was clean and comfortable, large jacuzzi tub with separate shower room. Site restaurants were reasonably priced and offered numerous selections. Food was excellently prepared. Enjoyed our stay and would definitely come again.

Great room for the price. Delicious breakfast buffet and great servers. We also had dinner on Friday night which was the Michigan cherry salad. We had our choice of meats, for additional cost, so each had our favorite. Only complaint on the salad is that I'm not crazy about raw walnuts, would have preferred roasted or pecans. Only problem with hotel was the distance to pool-but I guess you can change there. Overall one of the best night's stays anywhere with very comfortable beds!

Didn't really experience much for the short time I was there but it was a nice shirt experience. The breakfast was great and the hospitality from the staff was great.

Late September conditions and the course showed some wear but all in all an enjoyable northern Michigan golf experience.

This place was amazing. We looked everywhere for a decent place/price late at night. We got a upgraded room for free, also gave us a later check out. Will definitely be going back. Kids loved the pool and being able to play outside of our room.

Norway is the funnest of the 27 hole offering. Conditions are not that great and nobody monitors pace of play. They offer some great deals through group golfer but be prepared because this is where the older couples congrigate so extremely slow.

This course is nice but could be a lot better.

Thank you Evergreen for such a great stay! You all really went out of your way to make our Swartz Creek Dragons Baseball Team welcome and comfortable! Fantastic customer service all the way around! It made our Tourney weekend absolutely fantastic! Our boys took the championship and we had an awesome time at Evergreen! I have to mention Deb who waited on us several times throughout the weekend inside of Curleys. You have a gem in her. She was super fun and made our stay even more enjoyable! She took excellent care of us! And a huge thank you to Jennifer Davis as well who made sure our stay was superb! We will ALWAYS stay at Evergreen when we are in Cadillac! Thank you all!

This resort was so nice! We had a renovated room and they were really nice and clean too. We had dinner at Curly's and was entertained by the karaoke going on. Breakfast the morning of check out was delicious and probably saved us $30. We would definitely stay there again on our next trip!

Now that the new dining room and re-branded bar are complete, this place has an entirely new atmosphere. They have all-new sinage and better advertising. The sky is the limit for Evergreen. It is a good "up north" destination.

This was our third year in a row to bring in the NewYear with Josh from Eagle Entertaimnent. Josh does a great job trying to do what the crowd wants to hear and do. He tries to keep everyone happy. And does a fantastic job of seeing that all are having a great time, he really know how to work the crowd.
Our accomadations were perfect! Very clean, large room, king bed, all the comforts of home, but away from home for the night, check in went smooth, staff were helpful and very friendly. And the dinner… was wonderful-prime rib, chicken picatta, roastedpork loin, pasta primavera, coconut shrimp, mashed red skinned potatoes; those were just the main choices available after in incredible soup and salad bar. For anyone who had room left there was entire dessert Buffett set up. The service was exceptional as always. Jeannie has never let us down. It is such a pleasure to walk in on any Friday night and see her smiling face, she a huge part of why we keep coming back. We love our Jeannie!
The friends we brought with us this year had a great time as well. We will all be back soon. Thank You Evergreen for being our 'go to' party place!

Beautiful clean room with Jacuzzi tub and walkout patio (144)! Super staff, golf pro and delicious food at the complementary breakfast buffet. Golf course was beautiful and everyone, from the front desk, to the restaurant staff, to the personable and super friendly general manager, all did their best to make us feel welcome and pampered! Will definitely go back!

We stayed here for 2 days in a suite and for the price we payed dont feel it was worth it. Our suite was in a basement portion and we could not receive any Wi-Fi. Called front desk on this and they said they would check on it never heard from them again. Base board electric heat woke us up several times creaking. Checking in the front desk lady seemed like we were bothering here during check in not friendly. Hot breakfast was good the 2 mornings we were there. I would prob not stay here again unless price was reduced greatly. There is better places to stay in the area for the $$.

Great place to stay when snowmobiling!

We paid almost $200 for an executive suite. Checked in, get to our room and our room over looked a dumpster and there were dead bugs in and around the jacuzzi tub. Went to the front desk and they said someone was in there the night before and didn't complain, but they would check it out. We went to have dinner and when we came back, there were still bugs and dirt build up in the tub. Lady bugs were crawling all over the place. I would NOT recommend this place at all and will not be going back.

The rooms were not the cleanest, the staff clique like and seem to be annoyed with questions. Never again. I should have known better after driving thru Cadillac, what a mess.
