Review of Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Grand Rapids-North, an IHG Hotel 2*

My daughter was married on July 29th and all of the guests were from out of town and state. We had rooms reserved all over grand rapids. I made a reservation for two members of my family at the holiday inn north. I came in on Friday to the 28th to just confirm that my reservation was could be put under my brothers names since I would be with my daughter the next day. Holly was wonderful and took care of it for me. I also dropped off the gift bag for one brother but had forgotten the other one. I returned on Saturday morning with the labeled gift bag and doubled checked that everything was set. The gift bags contained the shuttle information for the day. Today I received a phone call from my brother saying that his credit card had been charged for the room. I called the hotel to see what had happened. They said that they had not split the payment and had put a credit on my card. There has been no credit to my card. In order for my brother to get his credit, they needed to charge my credit card again. I gave them my card information so that my brother would get his credit, I am trusting that the credit will be put on my card and not just another 200.00 charge. I also found out today that neither of my family members were giving the gift bags that were left for them. I also found out that they had to drive to the venue because the did not get their shuttle information. I would not recommend this venue for guests that are having any sort of wedding or anything that requires the front guest to assist with your guests. We did not have a single problem with any other hotel in the area.
