Great food at the class act.

We got married on Tuesday and stayed at the hotel Monday and Tuesday night. Upon arrival, the staff was super sweet and gave us free breakfast for both days, and if that wasn’t enough, they also brought cheesecake and champagne to our room while I was getting ready for the big day! 🖤 Everyone was super sweet and accommodating and we couldn’t have had a better experience with this hotel. We were married in our room with a little rearranging and were able to take pictures in the lobby and room because they were so beautiful and well lit—it was too cold to even be outside for a few minutes so the fact that we were able to do the pictures inside was a lifesaver! 📷 Thank you so much for the great experience, we will be back for another stay sometime.

Fantastic venue. We enjoyed a great weekend here. The company dinner we attended here was fantastic! The food was exceptional! The room was very comfortable and the bar from breakfast thanks Molly to drinks at night was fantastic. Thank you for a great stay!

A beautiful place with even more beautiful service!

Our son and his beautiful bride had their rehearsal dinner and reception at Kirkwood. We were VERY impressed with the facilities, the staff and the food! The rooms were spacious and had everything we needed. We consider Disney the gold standard of customer service and Kirkwood hit this mark. Thank you for your help and kindness over the weekend we will definitely be back! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We have ordered the family meal 5 or 6 times. Never been disappointed. The food is good quality and delicious and nice portions. It has been a nice option for us during these Covid times to feel like we are eating out. Thank-you.

5 Stars for this AMAZING place! We came up for a Christmas Party with the family and stayed at The Hotel. The moment we walked in we were greeted with such amazing hospitality. When we came back at night someone was vacuuming and they stopped and welcomed us back and waited to begin again when we got to the elevator, such nice courtesy. We stayed in a double Queen room. We were blown away by how it looked! The window was immaculate, going from the floor to the ceiling. There was not a huge tacky furnace, it was built into the ceiling and controlled by a thermostat. The furniture was super nice. The bathroom was absolutely gorgeous. My boyfriend and I want a shower just like it. I would love to write more, but I believe that there is not enough words in the dictionary to describe how great this place was haha! I would recommend this place to anyone visiting Cedar Rapids!

We were completely blown away by the treatment we received staying with the Hotel! From the moment
we walked in and we were received by the staff at the front desk we felt like we were anticipated visitors. We took advantage of the Presidental suite after a very kind gal suggested it to me, she sold me on the huge jacuzzi tub. The room was stunning and immaculate. The furniture was modern and chic. I've never stayed in a nicer room or enjoyed a nicer staff. Also, make sure you try the hashbrowns for breakfast! This will be a must stay everytime I go to Cedar Rapids! Thank you for having us!

I stayed because of a bad weather event. Wow, what a great place. The room far exceeded my expectations. Jared at the Lobby bar was just as nice as could be. Jessica at the front desk was so incredibly nice too. The food was fantastic at the 'Class Act. ' I had a Cobb salad for dinner and eggs Benedict for breakfast. Great atmosphere, great food, great service. Only complaint was no refrigerator in the room, but they are renovating and about to fix that. This is a special place in Cedar Rapids. Kind of a hidden gem. I want to bring my wife here for a special weekend. Thanks for the great service. Highly recommend it — you will not be disappointed.

Always a unique menu featuring fabulous food, set in a beautiful hotel! I love that it is a learning experience for students, but everything is so well done, you would never know it! Well done, Kirkwood!

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Jodie & each staff member we interacted with this weekend for our wedding! Back in January they were the only hotel nearby that would book a block of rooms for this past weekend because of it being Uof I graduation weekend, but I'm so glad. Jodie was an absolute pleasure to work with coordinating everything & was so accommodating, especially when it came to booking shuttles for guests to be transported back & forth to the wedding venue. Each staff member whether it was at the front desk or restaurant were extremely friendly & made all of us feel right at home. I loved being able to communicate via text, even after we checked out & I left something in the room. We had compliments from all of our guests that stayed there or got ready in our suite on our wedding day as well!

Had a good stay with my family here for 2 nights. Was disappointed that they didn't have a pool for the kiddos to burn some energy off, but was blown away by the kind and over the top staff. One of our kids got really sick at 3am, the hotel staff reacted urgently delivering fresh linens to our rooms within minutes. The rooms were very clean upon our arrival.

The Class Act restaurant in this hotel has incredible food. The lemongrass chicken with ginger soup was one of the best soups I've ever had. My wife and I shared a Reuben sandwich and a Cuban sandwich. Both were excellent. A great break from fast food when traveling through Iowa.

Very classy and elegant. Awesome service, ambiance, and character. I've never been disappointed in the service or the quality of the food. I come here quite a bit for dinner for their "Passport" dinners. Love that each month the course are from different counties. Glad we have a place like this in Cedar Rapids.

Very cool hotel. Owned by the community College and used as a training ground for their hospitality and culinary arts program. Great service, simply amazing restaurant. Great overall hotel. Gym is lacking but they have a deal with a nearby fitness center.

From the minute we entered this hotel we were greeted so kindly by every single employee. We felt so welcomed. They answered all of our questions and helped guide us regarding their restaurant class act. They offer vegetarian items which is a huge plus for us! The room sizes are great and very modern. They have a happy hour in their bar downstairs and is open until midnight! Everything in this hotel is quite modern. If you are in the area look no further as this is the best.

I had the great pleasure of staying at The Hotel at Kirkwood last night. My first experience was with the shuttle driver who was fantastic and truly provided first class service. Upon arrival to the hotel, the front desk staff were courteous, friendly, and helpful! My room was clean, the bed comfortable, and the service was fantastic. I ate dinner and breakfast at the hotel's restaurant named The Class Act, and had two amazing, top-quality meals. When I return to Cedar Rapids, I will definitely stay here. I highly recommend this hotel!

Great place and staff. Stayed for a work related trip. I've also been there for a conference in the past and that was great also. Would highly recommend.

Stayed here one night, as planned. We were greeted upon entering the hotel. Checked into our room before heading to Class Act for dinner. Upon returning to our room, ourc sheets were turned down and a small dessert was waiting for us. Our room was nice and comfortable, we had a king deluxe room. All the staff we interacted with were wonderful and the food at the restaurant was great! Will definitely stay again.

Thank you for a wonderful wedding weekend. My guests were so impressed with everything and the food was amazing. Customer service couldn’t be better. Holly Webster’s communication leading up to the event was so helpful. And the hotel accommodated a last minute airport pickup. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. We will recommend this hotel in the future to all of our out of town guests and will return ourselves for special occasions and the food at the Class Act restaurant.

The service this venue provided for our wedding was way beyond expectations. The coordination between all of the vendors went through the hotel and took so much potential stress away from the planning. The food they provided was by far the best catering I have ever had. However, the best thing about this venue was the friendliness and level of service provided by every single staff member. The phrase "World class hospitality starts at The Hotel at Kirkwood Center, " stated every time they pick up a phone call is 100% true. 10/10 would highly recommend to any couple looking for a wedding ceremony and/or reception venue.
