Room smelled, key card never worked, ice machine was broken for my stay (2 nights), new flat screen TV had not been programmed, :and no one available 1st night to do it. I told day front desk about it, still not fixed for 2nd night. Front desk worker seemed totally apathetic about problem. 2nd night power in the whole area went off. Housekeeping had been in and turned the ac off, so room was sweltering when I returned at 6pm from working. Front desk young woman had no landline (phones were also out) and could not use her personal cell to call out because it was connected to Wi-Fi. Guests had to use their personal cells to get info and call the motel manager for assistance. The manager was not at all helpful, only stating that guests would not be reimbursed because it was an act of God. We could not check out, because the system was down and charges would still be on there. A guest kept running to the nearby Burger King to get updates on when the power would be restored. The poor front desk person had no training or know how in what to do in an emergency. Power was restored in about 2 to 2+ hours. After going to bed about 9:30, a person from housekeeping knocked on my door and said they could program my tv! Since SureStay has taken over this former Hometown Inn and Suites it has deteriorated immensely. During my previous time there in October 2022, there was a flood of some hotel system, and the first floor hallway was squishy and saturated. This motel looks sketchy and rundown now that they have painted it awful colors. Grounds look unkempt. Last time there!
