Pretty decent hotel. The breakfast wasn't anything to write home about and the Wi-Fi sucks, but you get what you pay for. I liked that the hotel was near the middle of town. You can walk to Walmart, Hyvee, and some other restaurants.

The rooms were very pleasent and the indoor pool was very clean and nice. The breakfast was so good, better than any hotel I've ever been to.

The staff was very nice, the room was clean. The beds were a little hard, but not too hard; still slept very well. No complaints from me whatsoever.

It was a very clean and quiet. The staff was helpful and very nice. I would go there again.

We were trying to find a hotel close to a small town nearby for our cousins funeral. We didn't end up staying here because the staff was kind enough to let us know we were not as close as we thought. They gave us directions to a hotel much closer to the funeral and family. Thank you.

This is an okay property located in the middle of a very nice small town. It's about 5 miles off the interstate highway. The staff is helpful and friendly. Breakfast was just okay.

I stayed here for work and when I left, I forgot my boots in the room. I didn't realize till I got home. I called the office and they had them… in other words the cleaning staff didn't keep my Sketchers. (I've had that happen) They were very nice and offered to ship them to me. I received them 2 days later. Very pleased. Thank you. I stayed again March 2018. Still a wonderful staff and clean rooms. (Well, the light switches and fridge handles could be wiped down better) Bed was very comfortable with a fantastic assortment of pillows. Great location on Hwy 71 and 6. Wal-Mart and Hy-Vee near by.

They were able to accommodate us with and extra night on a couple hours notice which was great. Basic hotel, big rooms, nice pool and hot tub. Mostly clean. Beds are hard and it's noisy. Good hotel for a short stay.

Pretty comfy spot. Nice staff and well kept facilities. Just one thing — don't use the coffee machines in the rooms. Mine was filled with grime/mold. Otherwise it was a nice place.

This hotel will serve its purpose for you fine, unless you're looking for a five star experience in the middle of nowhere tucked behind cornfields in central Iowa. My only complaints are because I suspect they're participating in a government run torture experiment utilizing freezing temperatures. First, someone left the air conditioner running in our room prior to our arrival for what I suspect was one or two hundred years. I figured it was just a mistake, but then I took my kids to the pool. And I mean that I actually took my children to the pool, I'm not using that expression to mean I went to the bathroom. The swimming pool must be been set to exactly 33 degrees — a single degree away from icing over like a Minnesotan lake in February. After hopping in, I wouldve gladly traded all my county's darkest secrets in exchange for a space heater and a pair of gloves. That being said, the girl at the front desk was very nice when she had to come to our room to fix the archaic cable system they have. All in all, it was fine, and hypothermia never set in.

Easy to get to, decent parking close to your room. The motel recently jumped chains from Super8 to America's Best Value Inn which is usually a bad sign but in this case there has been no loss of quality. Clean rooms that have been updated (we've stayed here many times) Firm beds, but the walls are a little thin. Flat screen TV, fridge, hair dryer, iron, ironing board. Breakfast bar with cereal, coffee, tea, biscuits and gravy and waffles. We bring a water test kit and the pool tested out great, maybe a little heavy on the chlorine. This place has been owned by the same people for years and they take pride in their Inn. Coming back for Thanksgiving 2017. Jeff.

We often stay here when visiting the area. The rooms are clean and it is conviently located. New management is friendly and attentive to guest needs. The hot tub is a great place to relax while kids splash out extra energy in the pool. One drawback was no non grain options in the continental breakfast. Some fruit would be a great choice to add.

Great place to stay! Staff is friendly, place is very clean, and the manager is hands down one of the best we have ever dealt with! Not only is she a directory of local services, she is also genuinely there for anything you need. We will definitely stay here anytime we return to Atlantic!

Room smelled of mold but hotel was full and other guests standing in lobby waiting for a room due to booking mistakes so we were stuck with the moldy room or no room. Tried to enjoy the pool with my son but became light headed 30 minutes in, I suspect due to the overwhelming cholrine smell. I looked up and the exhaust fan was off not exhausting. Breakfast the next day was a joke. Good thing it was a free breakfast because nothing was fit to eat. Add to that unauthorized charges on my account! Save your money and your time.

This place lives up to its name. Modest in price, simple and comfortable. You cannot ask for more.

Staff and guests screaming at kids for being loud in the pool. Not kid friendly, clean but cheap decor and poor construction, finish. Breakfast ok but vending machines broken or sold out (Coke machine empty, and this is the coca cola capitol of Iowa haha). Skip this one you'll be happier in Avoca, Iowa.

Good value, clean beds, dirty toilets and towels that shouldn't be in use. Main door didn't seem very much of a deterrent to break in. Nice Tvs and channel selection. Nice staff.

I've stayed here several times for work, and everything has been great. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The entire hotel is very clean. Rooms are updated and comfortable. Some stays have been for night shift and I have had no issues sleeping during the day. A great hotel for a decent price.

There were pros and cons to our stay at the Super 8 on July 30th. The front desk lady was very helpful and accommodating. The room itself was nice (newly renovated? ), but also very loud. Noisy air conditioners and located next to the pool.

The owner baby's this place! Very clean and sharp. Good breakfast. Very kind and friendly staff. Big rooms with bunk beds for large families. Pet friendly. Great rates. Worth the 10 minutes out of the way off I-80 for sure.

The hotel staff were amazing. We only stayed because we had car trouble and everyone in Atlantic was amazing including the hotel staff. The room was comfy and spacious.

Booked a room and paid for it in advance. Called to cancel 3 days ahead of our stay. I was told it was non-refundable. I talked to manager who was very much into sticking it to me. She was very mean and uncooperative. I talked to Super 8's customer care and they could do nothing since the motel is privately owned. Don't stay here. Management is terrible.

The new bedding is great. Great, warm — might not need the comforter is plenty. Loved it as a Iowa farm girl.

Accommodations were good and very reasonably priced. Lizzy was very kind and connected me with a nice room. A few places to go around town.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel. Everyone was so accommodating and welcoming. The check in was very smooth and quick. Our room was VERY spacious — I couldn't believe how much room we had in the room. The front desk attendant at check out was so friendly and nice to us. When we asked for a freshly baked cookie (we had already had 1 at checkin), she proceeded to give us 2 cookies each. And they were the best cookies we have ever had! Absolutely so accommodating, couldn't say enough good things about the staff and the stay we had there! Will definitely stay there again if we are in the area.
