Nasty dirty room, dust on celling in corners, dirty walls, 40 year old air conditioning unit, and disgusting curtains. Do not stay here unless you have no other choice and then go find anywhere else to stay.

Nice quiet place. Good pool with hot tub. Exercise room is lacking as they only had two stationary bike and a treadmill. The treadmill was not working. Decent breakfast too If I'm ever in Galesburg again I will stay here.

We always stay here when in the Burg. They have a great staff, clean rooms, and amenities that provide comfort during your trip.

Room was clean but a bit dated, the floorboards for the stairs to the second floor creak giving it old vibe. The breakfast was expansive.

I normally love Country Inn and Suites. This one was a letdown. The person that checked us in about 10pm didn't make us feel welcome at all, we felt like we were bothering him to come out of the back but maybe he was having a rough night so that was excusable. When I turned down my bed there was dried blood on the top sheet. That was inex-cusable. I tried to call down front and no one answered (we had been trying to call for over an hour before we arrived to make sure they had rooms available and couldn't get a soul to answer) so I just took it off. We left to early for me to talk to a manager about it so I would just say check your beds before you stay Breakfast seemed lacking.

Great comfortable place to stay. Employees are wonderful. Would suggest they add an outdoor seating area with umbrellas for shade during warmer months. Either in the front of back. No smoking. Needs a little refresh on rooms. Breakfast is good. What happened to the omelets?

The desk personnel have been professional, but there have been multiple problems. Our room was not cleaned well. The bathroom floor appeared to have been swept instead of mopped. The dirt had been swept behind the door and left. The air conditioning is difficult to use. You just have a dial from "Cooler" to "Warmer. " The pool deck is dangerously slick when wet.

This hotel is a great value for the dollar. The entire staff was friendly and helpful. The manager Eric is hands on and present. This is not a five star resort hotel but you are also not paying for a five star resort hotel. The rooms are large, the beds are comfortable, I always felt safe, the complimentary breakfast offers a lot of choices. Would stay here again.

The rooms are spacious, the beds were comfy, then continental breakfast was good. The pool was Maggie it was either over chlorinated or just had a lot of pain it from all the people.

Nice to have a jacuzzi right next to your king size bed.

My experience was very unfortunate because I had excellent service at a Country Inn & Suites in Toledo, Ohio. I arranged for this hotel through a separate entity and had expectations that had been set previously. I got into the hotel in Galesburg at 3:30 am due to driving back all night from my daughter and I’s vacation in Ohio. The front desk girl barely spoke just checked me in and sent me on my way. No explanation on check out time or that they would be doing construction on the third floor, the same floor that she had given me a room on. To say I was upset would be an understatement that at 8 a. M. I was awaken to banging and clanging that was going on right across the hall from me. I did speak with the manager and I asked as to why she would put me in a room on the third floor knowing that there would be construction on said floor and he just explained that they have a sign on the front desk so everyone is aware. He wasn’t interested in helping me at all, very dismissive of my obvious complaint. So with that being said I would not recommend this particular hotel to anyone.

I always stay here when I visit my daughter at KNOX College. It's perfect. Nice pool, nice gym, nice breakfast.

Room was fine. Bathroom needs updated. Bed was comfy and clean. Free breakfast would have been fine but the food was cold.

We were planning to stay there but the room was not up to par. There was hair in the shower, the floors were not vacuumed, there was blood on the bed skirt. After trying to give us a new room, that room was still dirty and we ended up leaving for another hotel.

The hotel was clean and staff was friendly, some other reviewers are blowing things way out of proportion. I did have a couple small issues, but after speaking with the manager everything was worked out far beyond my expectations! I would definitely stay again, thank you Eric! If you're in the area and need a place to stay this would be the place.

We stay here every time we come to Galesburg (about twice a year). Eric and his crew are amazingly accommodating. The hotel is clean and the kids love playing in the indoor pool!

Good place, clean, full and comfortable rooms, pool and Jacuzzi is good.

Room 125 THE BAD (1) Smoke alarm not fully attached to ceiling. It fell and was hanging by the wires, emitting an ear-piercing sound. (2) Unheated bathroom has only uptake vent. (3) (a) Air conditioner was noisy, even on low heat. (b) It was difficult to adjust to a 'just right' temperature. It was either too hot or too cold. (4) Air in room was not clean, with perfumy smell. We started sneezing when entering the room. (5) Drain in bathtub didn't close properly. (6) Large hole and small hole in window screen. (7) Kleenex chrome holder had rust spots all over. (8) (a) Hotel staff person couldn't find reservation, which had been checked three times previous to arrival. (9) Hotel price was $160 per night including taxes and fees with a AAA discount. And it was not even a suite. This seemed expensive to me in view of the number of issues with the room. NO monetary compensation was offered. I was told that the room will be worked on in the future. Big help! THE GOOD Follow up comments from previous issues: (1) Staff came immediately and turned off the alarm. Maintenance staff reattached it to the ceiling, partly. (4) (d) Staff offered to de-ionize the room. (7) (b) Night staff person found reservation within a few minutes, and straightened out complexities. (10) In the morning I reported the issues. Staff was polite and apologized for the issues I reported. Room was clean, although beds were a bit rumpled.

Rooms are quite. I was there with a wedding party and also knew someone there having a kid's birthday party. Never heard anything. Rooms where nice and clean, although we didn't get maid service the second day we were there. I took the do not disturb of the door at 10:15, they must have already been past the room and didn't come back to check.

The building is nice and staff were great. The room was a disappointment. Almost all the titles on the floor were severely cracked and the bathrooms have no fan vents. This causes the paint to come off in big chunks. Hvac worked great and Wi-Fi was pretty fast. Nice place but rooms all need remodeled.

Never nice and friendly but the AC was off when I got in and it was very hot when I check into my room also the AC unit was very loud.

This hotel has the nicest staff you will ever meet! The whole place is a tad dated, but comfortable and great for the price.

I hated my visit at the country inn. At this second rate hotel they made us plunge our own toilet and at breakfast the lady who brought out the food was touching it with out gloves on. Which is maybe why the food was so discusting in the first place. The Wi-Fi went really slow and you really can't do anything. The whole town was stuck in 2009 because everything was out of date. The only thing great about his hotel was how comfortable the beds were. I would not recommend staying at he country inn.

Love all my visits. My kids enjoy themselves in the pool and great workout area for the big kids.

Pre rented a room online, when I came to check in they have had someone who hasn't checked out of our room take ours.

Awesome staff. (Kristina in food services deserves a bonus — this girl was just above and beyond all day long every day, and always with a smile and laugh! ) Cozy and inviting room and common areas. The hot tub is always a bonus. This was our third stay here and we'll be coming back. Oh, and decent Wi-Fi.

Our 33 hour train ride turned into 40 making us miss our connecting train. Traveling with my wife and 2 year old son so we needed something good where we could relax. After checking the reviews of several places in town we decided on this hotel. Other places also had pools and hot tubs but we weren't planning on staying in a hotel so we didn't bring swimming suits. I saw this one had suites with a private Jacuzzi in the room. After our long train ride and frustrating 24 hour delay, this hotel was perfect. We were greeted warmly on arrival and got into our suite within 5 min with a reservation. The extra $25-30? for the suite with the Jacuzzi was well worth it. After not being able to stretch out on the train for almost two days the tub and California King bed made us feel so much better and helped releive our anger and frustration with our situation. Both the gentleman at check-in and the other gentleman at check-out were very friendly and helpful with any of our requests. It was a $7 taxi plus tip from the train station. I highly recommend this hotel if you need to stay the night in Galesburg especially if you need a break from traveling.

Love this hotel. Every time we stay here the staff is very attentive, the rooms are clean, the beds are super comfortable and we leave well rested. A very reasonable price at 100.00 considering its a suite. Two queen beds and a door separating the sitting area with a pull out couch. I've stayed here several times and have never had a problem.

Found hair on sheets, had to remake my own bed, mattress pad was stain (dont even want to go there) bathroom smelled like cigerette smoke and had non smoking room.

It had been the longest day of the past 365 days. My wife and I had been up for 48hrs. Both of us members of the armed forces. Eric greeted us and we instantly felt at home. Eric and his hospitable and always smiling staff took care of us. Everyone here is so pleasent. We checked in to the most inexpensive room and the bed was so comfortable. I figures it was because we were tired but we could not wait to get back into it. The room was immaculate and smelled wonderful. Not only did every staff member we meet smile, they spoke and held conversations despite their workload. They cared. They cared about our day as well as our stay. I recommend this Inn and Suites over any other in Galesburg. Thank you Eric. You and your staff are a blessing to tired and weary travelers. Thank you for showing love, respect and honor to those who serve and have fought for this great country. May God bless you all.

Ridiculous management! I booked a room here for a weekend for a wedding. Had discussed the fact that I would be accompanied by a Police k9 dog and he would be staying with us. The guy on the phone said it was perfectly fine because he was a "service dog". When we went to check in they refused to let us stay because they didn't allow pets in the hotel. As previously discussed with the man I spoke to when booking the room I made it very clear he was a police k9 dog, and there wasn't an issue then. And now when we walk in with the dog, it became a problem. There's a federal statute that says by law you cannot refuse any service animal to stay. The owner of the hotel wouldn't even come out to talk to us he just kept sending the girl working the front desk back and forth forwarding his comments. He demanded the dog wear a badge and vest that says "service dog stay back". Neither of which did we have or even own because this has never been an issue. Ever! The owner even called the Galesburg police to see if he should allow us to stay. We were just going to stay somewhere else, especially after he told us we had to pay 250 upfront for a safety deposit. Literally 45 min later he said we could stay. If the rest of the wedding party wasn't staying in this hotel I would have happily gone down the street. The room was mediocre and dated. And there were dead bugs in the hallways. I will never stay here again. This place was a joke.

Hotels in Galesburg are expensive. I had booked one night in a low price hotel but was too disappointed and uncomfortable to actually stay there. I switched over to the Country Inn and Suites where I paid almost double the price of the low budget hotel, but it was worth it. The hotel has nice indoor pool plus whirlpool and a usable fitness room. This hotel is clean, comfortable, safe, quiet and provides accommodations for a good night's sleep. Amanda at the front desk was especially helpful, very friendly and professional. She really went "above and beyond" her duties to help me. I have a very positive feeling about this hotel and can heartily recommend it.

Country Inn was an overall good place to stay in Galesburg. Hotel personnel were very nice. The hotel is located near the expressway, mall, and many other restaurants. The rooms, pool, and hot tub were clean.
