Good service and what you would expect for a room at an economy motel. Room had microwave and refrigerator. A little out of the way from anything close by but not so far out that it is too far from going places if you don't mind a little drive.

It was clean. And the setvice was nice. Pool was clean and cool. Just wish the breakfast was better.

Not friendly but not unfriendly. Missing most TV channels. Wifi is satellite so even though it is fast it is spotty. The pool is very clean and taken care of. The breakfast is pathetic. Fruit, raisin bran or pancakes. Not secure because the outside key guards are broken so its unlocked but someone is working there 24/7. Shower is very slick and you will fall! There isnt a no slip mat, so lay your towel inside it so you dont fall. It's like ice, no exaggeration.

Severe fine if you smoke closer than 15 feet to the building. Suggestion: put the ashtray farther than 10 feet from the door.

Horrible experience. Someone across the hall was having a birthday party ALL. Night long. Sounded like 29, 196 people stuffed in the one room woo-hooing all night. Heard a toddler join them in celebration at 2am. Walls are paper thin. Everything feels dirty. Would not recommend.

Older hotel, in need of renovation. Room was fine, staff member I worked with was awesome.

Clean rooms non smoking indoor pool and hot coffee in the room as well as a hair dryer.

The rooms were very comfortable clean and the people there were very receptive to any needs it was a fantastic day.

No issues here. Easy breakfast. Easy in and out and right off the highway.

The rooms are okay, nothing impressive. The indoor pool is not heated so it is freezing cold. Overall, I wasn't impressed.

Staff was great. Pool was clean and quiet. Not ready for the activity that was going on because of lack of towels.

Got exactly what I paid for… nothing fancy. Freezing upon arrival and the heat took 15 minutes to warm the room. I will be returning to the area and will be staying at a different motel… closer to NIU.

Will never stay in this place again, been going here for a night getaway with with wife for last 3 years about 4 times a year. Staff is rude, TV is horrible, and breakfast is not worth waking up for.

The Pros: Motel has been remodeled so it no longer smells of former smoking rooms. Service was friendly. Room furniture was in good shape although furniture and outlet arrangement were not ideal. The Cons: It's a motel obviously run on the cheap — cheap soap, sandpaper towels probably washed in the cheapest detergent on the market, generic everything. The refrigerator is unplugged between guests — b/c of the pennies it saves on utilities? do they not understand it costs more to cool down a warm fridge? I booked a Queen Size room, was told as I checked in I was being given a queen size room. The bed I'm sleeping in is a full. I do not know who defines bed sizes but I suspect if I looked for the tag on this mattress it will definitely say full. It's an old mattress not supportive and caves in. Glad I brought my own pillow the two provided are like pancakes. The doors slam. Guests here are not considerate to attempt to buffer the slamming of the doors. To be fair it takes a lot of effort to not make any noise with them. They slam all night and shake the walls.

Staff at desk didnt seem extremely friendly. Staff that cleaned were very nice though. When told them about toliet they fixed it right away. Room was bigger than expected. A/C worked really well. Key didnt seem to work all that much. Location was close to campus were it would only cost us about $5-$12 to use an uber. Price seemed a bit much but since it was homecoming kind of expected it.

Nice clean rooms. Inside corridor access. Two stories. Somewhat isolated and quiet.

Great place to stay. Clean rooms, nice shower, friendly & helpful staff. Including pet friendly hotel Contennantial breakfest, coffee, microwave & frig in the rooms. Plus, it's very cost efficient.

Stayed there go an event. Check in was easy and pleasant. Nice parking nice grass area. Room was clean but dated. AC work fine. Breakfast was generic. Staff was nice. Ice machine works.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms were nice and clean. The best room price in the area and we will definitely stay here again in the future!

Off the beaten path and the GPS takes you to the wrong area. Use Google maps on your phone to find the right address. Pretty nice place with clean rooms and Hot water. Beds are so-so. Breakfast was decent with waffles and dry cereal. Coffee and juice. Even though there was a party going on down the hall, we did manage to get sleep. We would likely stay again if in the area.

Acceptable as a place to sleep and get a free breakfast but not much else. Although it is a no smoking hotel it smells very much of smoke, including my room. Pretty run down overall. You're getting exactly what you pay for.

Stayed here for work. Cheap weekly rates. They are updating rooms so mine was remodeled 2 days before I checked in.

It may not be a 5-star hotel, but I definitely had a 5-star experience in the terms of service. The facility is good for a budget motel. I didn't really trust the pool and wished breakfast had bacon, but you have to remember that most places at this price don't even have a pool or breakfast. And the rooms surpassed others in the price range by far. To get to the important part… The service was not good. It was great. A particular employee, Martin, was friendly and helpful my entire three night stay. It seemed to be a consistent theme at this facility, as I saw him be very kind to other patrons, and my experience with another woman (I didn't get her name, but she was setting up breakfast), was just as great. If you're looking for a fantastic budget hotel, I have not seen a better one. Kudos, Super 8. I was impressed.

I've stayed here quite a few times. The staff is always very friendly and helpful. It's an older hotel that needs updating but otherwise they do a pretty good job of keeping their rooms clean.

It was comfortable and nice.

My husband and I have stayed there a couple times. The only problem is it smells like smoke… with signs everywhere saying "no smoking "

Nothing worst super 8 I've been at… room was nasty cobwebs n dust on sprinkler system smoke detector was missing… tiles in bathroom was missing n bathroom floor… refrigerator leaked… was very displeased with hotel… most super 8 hotels have a hot breakfast n there wasn't one… will not stay at this hotel again…

During check in the guy that checked us in with a beanie and a beard was really arrogant and unfriendly.

I've never had a problem here I don't know what all these people talking about.

Find something else I was on a two week trip through Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin and Minnesota and stayed, mostly, at Super 8's on my journey. The DeKalb was not only the worst of the lot (the others were very nice) but also the most expensive. Drive a few extra miles to Aurora, Yorkville (very nice) or Rochelle and save some money and have a nicer stay.

Con Artists! If you can help it at all don't stay here! Reserved double rooms and when got there they told me because I had a corporate lodging card they had to put us in separate rooms. They kept coming up with all sorts of excuses why we could not get double rooms. And was told when I asked for a receipt they told me clc members cannot get a receipt! After some argument I get a b. S. Receipt with two different nightly charges for each room even though the rooms were no different. I have to agree with MX3 also about the man at the desk, although I think he may not just be rude, he is in my opinion incompetent! Don't bother with the breakfast unless you like warm powdered milk for cereal, and watered down juice!

Do not book a night in this hotel. The workers there are thieves. I caught the MANAGER of the hotel rummaging through my belongings. Me and my girlfriend were leaving to attend a NIU football game, when I realized I had forgotten the tickets. I ran back into the hotel and came upon our door slightly ajar. I quietly opened the door and saw the hotel manager going through my suitcase. She stated that she received a complaint about a loud noise and thought it might have been a cell phone. First of all, there is no way someone complained about a noise. It was 1 o’clock in the afternoon and we had just left the hotel room 2 minutes beforehand. Second of all, there were no electronic devices left behind in the room that could have been making any noise. The police were called, but they took her word over mine. After we returned home, I noticed several valuable items were missing from my luggage. I complained to everyone that would listen at Super 8, including their corporate office. NOTHING was done. I could pursue this matter farther through the judicial system, but it would not be worth the expense to me. Do yourself and everyone else that has been wronged by this hotel chain a favor and book your room using a different company.
