Someone was in my original room at 2am. Went back to front desk. Would have been nice to be given a voucher or a free bottle of water or something for our hassle. Exhausted. How about a candy bar?

We stayed two nights at the Hampton Inn in Terre Haute this past weekend. The front desk service was great at check in, however, the follow up service we are receiving post check out is horrible. My daughters softball team swam in their “luxury” pool. I am still living this “luxury” because my daughters hair is ruined. It smells like pool chemicals after 6 washes in less than two days. Some girls got chemical burns from the pool water. I’ve never seen this in my life. Some girls woke up with their eyes swollen shut. I called the GM of this property, Elisha. She informed me due to the number of complaints about the pool leaving chemical burns and ruining little girls hair, she had it tested by the state. She informed me it fell in state regulation level and it wasn’t their pool that did this damage. It most definitely was. After staying here, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to my worst enemy due to the poor empathy and owning up to a problem. Fix the pool. Pool water shouldn’t burn my eyes while I watch my daughter swim from the table. Don’t stay here!

This hotel is quite nice and has been/ is being kept up very well. This was our second stay in several years for a wedding and both nights went well with no issues. Our floor was quiet. The room nice but very chilly. Breakfast was good. The woman who took care of the breakfast area was incredibly nice, helpful and hardworking. One downside of the hotel is the location just beside the highway exit. It makes entering the hotel from the south such that you have to enter a gas station to get in the lot. The showerhead is quite low for someone of much height. Otherwise, no complaints.

Incredibly close to I-70 which is useful, but not too noisy (at least from a room on the SW side of the building). Staff are nice and the hotel appears to be updated within the last few years. The pool and fitness area are nice and typical for this chain of hotels. The hotel is 6 floors but the lobby does not ever appear busy. No welcome home reception snacks/drinks which is surprising since the Drury Inn is a block away and offers those during the evening. If price is similar, I might stay at the Drury Inn next time I am in town. Maybe you should consider also.

Everyone who works here is SO NICE! Seriously, great customer service. Clean and great looking rooms. Close to everything. Would definitely stay again.

The staff here is friendly and accommodating. Room decor is well done, beds are comfortable. There was a glitch with my reservation. I originally got a double twin room, but later upgraded online to a king. But the system didn't save the change, so I still had a twin. The hotel was full so they couldn't change my room, but the staff was nice about it.

Very nice place. Recently updated. It would have been 5 stars but the pool was closed which was a bummer. Nothing permanent, just being maintained but bummed the kiddos out. Good location and solid price. Can't go wrong at an updated Hampton.

Rooms were pretty roomy and looked nice. It was located downtown so it was near a lot of places to eat, shop, and some gyms. It is a very busy road though and parking lot just got repainted which opened up when we left so there parking should be better. Service was good and the complimentary breakfast was standard. Wifi was good with no issues at all.

I'm greeted as a regular there now. The service is great. I have lots of other hotel options but I also choose this hotel.

Air conditioner has local digital controls and is very quite but the small refrigerator is noisy. The vanity is well illuminated. Easy to setup digital clock and very confortable pillows and bed. Great place to stay!

Stayed here for the night while passing through for work. The room was nice and clean. The bed was very comfortable, like laying in a cloud. The water pressure was good. They have a business center, a pool (under renovation), laundry, pantry for purchase, a gym, and free breakfast. The staff was friendly. The mall is right next door as well as several restaurants and gas stations. The highway is next to the hotel too. Overall, happy with my stay and would stay again if in the area.

I stay here at least once a year for different reasons. After last time I wanted to try a different place but I had my wife book it and she went to where I normally go. The people at the desk were Way nicer than last time. I don’t usually interact with any staff much at all (in late, out early) so to make a impression is a big deal to me.

Although the pool was under constitution, the hotel was clean and accommodating. We would stay there again.

It is a Hampton Inn. Economy brand for Hilton. Good quality hotel. Not top notch, but a great place to stay when on a budget. Interesting Staff, friendly and interesting. I highly recommend going to breakfast early and talking with the staff, both front desk and kitchen. I recommend doing the same thing with the late night staff. Very good conversations. A fun end to a long day at the job site, and a energetic boost for breakfast to help get through your day.

The ropm layout was fairly nice and the breakfast was the good quality you would expect from a Hampton Inn. The only greivances I had were the lack of pool access (though maintenance was going on at the time) and the subpar location.

Very nice staff. Clean overall and recently (3 yrs) upgraded. Room temps were highly variable. Pool area was reasonably clean but a but cool and over chlorinated. Breakfast options were better than many Hamptons.

A stopover on the way home to Ohio from our Christmas vacation, this property is located right off the freeway with several choices nearby for food and gas. Located less than a mile from the local mall if you choose to shop. Extremely helpful staff. Called the hotel several hours before we checked in asking for a crib for our infant child. The staff promised they would and delivered. The pack and play was already in our room when we finally arrived. Such a blessing, and one less thing to worry about. Rooms are large, but the bed is not as comfortable as other Hampton Inn's I have stayed at. Rooms with even numbers are opposite the freeway, but the hotel is right off the main drag so we did hear some of the road traffic during the night. Internet in the room was spotty at times. Took a few hours for my wife and I to be able to log on. Also, it seems like the room Wi-Fi was only able to support one device at a time. Hopefully this was just one time issue. The breakfast in the morning was sufficient, however the breakfast on this particular day seemed disorganized. Boxes were out in the breakfast area during the meal time giving it a clutter look. Never seen this before at other Hampton Inn's. For a one night stay, it met our needs. Hopefully these issues with the Wi-Fi and the disorganized breakfast area was just on the day we were there. For the rates you pay for ($94 before tax), would recommend this hotel if you are in the area.

Very disapointed with this location. This is not the Hampton Inn we are accustom to. We checked into our room for our 4 night stay. We are in room 205. It has a very strong order of garlic. The staff gave us some cleaner to spray the carpet but it only worked for about an hour. I am also disappointed that the gust laundry is out of order and will not be back in operation until sometime in January. That does not help me now. The front desk suggest going to a laundromat. At other facilities when the guest laundry was out of order they will do your laundry for you. Now that is customer service. You won't get that here. My suggestion would be to spend your money elsewhere.

Hello! I am sorry, but I never actually went into the building. I was just driving around in the parking lot playing Pokemon. From from the outside it looks like a nice and clean place. It is right next to a Thorntons gas station and right off of the I-70 interstate.

We were very pleased with the staff and the our room plus the breakfast. The only problem we had was with our shower it didn’t work properly. I informed the maid who concurred and was going to report it to maintenance. The instructions on how to use it were not complete, have never run into this in all the Hampton Inns we have stayed in.

Lovely hotel and nice staff. Thank you everyone for you awesome hospitality, especially Brandi she was very nice and attentive to our needs. The only thing I hated was the Wifi. This was the 1st hotel I ever had an issue with the Wi-Fi and that's why I have you guys 4 of 5 stars otherwise it would have been 5 out 5.

We stayed here on our way through town — the hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. It was easy on and off the highway. Absolutely no complaints.

Very nice, good service, quiet and very clean rooms. Classy space, slept well. A drunk female biker was there in the lobby when I checked in, but they can't control every guest. She was just loud. And I never saw her again. I definitely recommend. Terra Haute itself is generally an awful slice of America in my opinion, but if you gotta stop, this is a good place to do so. AVOID the Days Inn nearby! The front desk gal was super! (stayed 7/29/17, checked in at @ 9 PM, management! ) I did figure out she was the ONLY staff apparently at the hotel! That is not so great. She was hustling like stock trader on the floor of the stock exchange, smiling the whole time, and handling 5 conversations like a pro! I wish I had a business because I would hire her to manage it and treat her better than that! She was gold. The staff the next morning were very good as well, and the hotel appeared well staffed the next day. Hopefully that was a fluke.

Had a wonderful stay. Service is great and breakfast was delicious. Visit the front desk if you forget toiletries. Very happy. Minor caveat is that people can be loud in parking lot at night.

Very nice. Comfortable beds. Clean. Lady who checked us in was so nice, friendly, and helpful. Not only to us but other visitors. She was back the next morning and just as happy and friendly.

The room and common areas were clean, the breakfast was delicious for what it was (continental breakfast). The pool was a bit small but still, and there didn't seem to be bigger beds than doubles if you wanted two beds instead on one king. Overall, a good stay and good value.

The bathroom was kinda grungy, but otherwise it was a great stay. The staff is very amiable and eager to help, and they helped to make my weekend as comfortable as possible. The fitness center was perfect for a quick workout before the start of my day, and breakfast was superior to any hotel breakfast I've ever eaten. It was in a nicer area, too, so I felt comfortable with having kids around. I would definitely recommend to a friend.

We appreciated the stay we had at Hampton Inn Terre Haute. Checking in on Friday, we reserved 5 rooms for family because our son was getting married. We had a lot of family with us and we were 4 hours from our own home. The staff was helpful and kind in attending to all our concerns and the rooms were clean. We had a scary turn of events at the wedding reception when my husband had to be rushed to hospital with a heart attack and was successfully treated. That Saturday evening the manager in charge assured us we could take as much time as we needed under the circumstances. However, we kept the rooms for the reserved time. Sunday everyone checked out and I stayed with my husband at the hospital until he was released Monday afternoon. The manager and staff were the most kind, understanding, accommodating we have yet to do business with and we are very grateful for their professionalism, hospitality and understanding.

Nice hotel right off the highway. Nice amenities. Indoor pool, fridge in room, breakfast. Hotel staff is nice. What more does one need.

My family was stranded 6 hours away from home and our tow truck driver recommend this hotel. We arrived at 4 in the morning and were greeted by very friendly staff. They worked with us on check out time since our vehicle was at a shop and even gave us a great discount. The hotel is very clean and nicely decorated. Definitely one of the best hotel experiences we've had.

Im very disappointed. Although the hotel was clean and comfortable I don't appreciate the fact that after I checked in my card that I bought snacks with was charged $50 without my knowledge. I had already checked it and I came back to buy snacks and they held $50. That was pretty underhanded business dealings in my opinion. And once I called back to question about the pending charge the so called mgr showed little to no sympathy for what was done.

A friend of mine and I were traveling and decided to stop in at a hotel, I had not made a reservation beforehand. I called Hyatt because it was the first hotel I saw getting off the freeway. I called in and the lady up front immediately pulled up a room for me and told me the cost. I walked in right after, and she was very nice. I believe her name is Rosie (THANKS SO MUCH ROSIE YOU'RE AWESOME! ) and she got keys for me and told me everything I needed to know-breakfast, Wi-Fi, etc. The rooms were awesome, very nice. The next morning-the cleaning staff told me bye and to have a good day as I left. The breakfast was great and the staff were nice and said good morning! Thanks so much Hampton!

Service is friendly, room is very clean and whole hotel is very modern. Convenient location in Terre Haute, right off the interstate and next to the mall. Manager and staff really make you feel welcome.

We loved our stay at this Hampton inn! Sherri food a great job as we arrived getting us to our room and helping us when we couldn'tget the key to work. She was very pleasant at each encounter. The room was very comfortable and had everything that we needed. The breakfast was awesome! I'm a big fan of oatmeal! The fact that they had a whole out of oatmeal and all the fixings was much appreciated. I would highly recommend this hotel to my friends. Thanks for making our short stay pleasant!

Going to echo what was said by others. I've stayed in a lot of Hampton Inns all over the country… this one was odd. Happens to be halfway from home and where I was travelling to, so I had two stays. First night, we had a reservation for a king on first level with request for crib or pack&play. No cribs and their pack & play was well used and stained. The room's AC wouldn't stay on… so a late night room change was in order. 2nd room had 2 beds and late night front desk guy said they were queens. They were not. They were full size as the front desk lady confirmed in the morning… who also said that none of the 2-bed rooms were queens… all full size. 2nd room also happened to be handicapped accessible. More on that later. Best I could say about first night was the breakfast was good… there are a lot of horrible ones out there. 2nd stay on this trip, we reserved a king… "not on first floor"… ended up with one on 6th floor. AC worked okay, but the unit had obviously taken a beating over the years. We also noticed that the king room was not handicapped accessible as our double bed room on the first night. However, every dimension and layout was the same. The only thing that the first room had that was handicapped accessible, was a button to the main door you pushed for assistance. The doors are narrow to the room and bathroom. I seriously doubt a wheel chair could fit through either. Overall, not worth the money.

No double queens in the whole place per the staff and he didn't know why. The room was clean but this was the most atypical Hampton we have stayed at. We only stay at Hampton Inn's because of their consistency so I'm not sure if there is something more to the story. Odd place. The sofa bed in the king rooms are only a twin size bed so beware if your planning for more than one person sleeping in those. They have no roll-away beds also because of some rule having more than two beds in a room (I asked). Had to have two kids sleep on the floor. The facility isn't old feeling so not sure what's going on. Wish I would have drove further to the next one.

Room was very clean and handycap accessible. Loved the water with lemons and strawberries in it. The comfortors were very used to the point of being lumpy and there was a bottle cap under the edge of the bed.

This was a one night stop on a cross-country trip. In the past we have always been very happy with Hampton Inn. Hampton Inn Terre Haute was extremely disappointing. The room had an "off" smell. The bed was uncomfortable (VERY unusual in Hampton Inn) and it was noisy.

Clean rooms. Stay in a room away from the highway.

Room had black mold in shower, smelled like urine by the desk, spider webs in corners going up walls. When complained the girl at front desk was more interested in hitting on some guy than assisting us. This is not what is expected at a Hampton Inn. I bet the cheaper Motel 6 across the street was a better value.

I really enjoyed my stay here. The staff was so friendly and accommodating, the breakfast was awesome and the beds were incredibly comfortable. Everything was clean and there were lot's of nice personal touches. The people complaining are either snots or idiots. I was very impressed with the service I got for the price I paid.

Great cleanliness, really comfortable bed, great staff. The hustle of the morning breakfast staff was impressive as they handled a bunch of people in a short time. All in all, a great stay.
