For the value… the Clarion Inn was really more than we expected. My husband and I are in town for the Brickyard 400 and the hotel is less than 10 minutes from the track. Not a bad hike from the airport either. We arrived around noon, because our hot passes had not been delivered to the track yet and were told check in is at 3. We completely understood. However, Steven put in some effort and found us an available, ready room immediately and we were able to unpack and freshen up before heading back to the track. While picking up our credentials in the Nascar credential trailer, we left our rental car keys on the counter… not realizing it until everything was closed. We managed to get a ride back to the hotel just before dark, but I needed a few items from the store. When I inquired where the nearest pharmacy was, Stacey refused to let me walk and she was so kind to drive me to Kroger and waited in the car. On the way back, she referred me to her friend who was available to drive us back to the credential trailer the next day so we could retrieve our keys. (Race weekend taxi $50 flat rate each way. Rental car replacement keys $350) Stacey really saved the day! She didn't have to do all of that. Our room was very low priced so we did not expect the Ritz, however what we got was a spacious, clean, quiet room & bathroom. One notable thing from people who sometimes stay at places such as The Gaylord hotels, Hotel Zaza and The Magnolia… my husband and I noticed that this is the first time we have ever stayed in a hotel where the doors to the rooms stop just before they close and then very slowly and quietly engage the latch closed. NOTHING ruins a vacation more than neighbors or housekeeping allowing room doors to slam! Next time we are in town for a race and want to have convenient access to the IMS, we will choose this hotel again. Thank you, thank you, Steven for getting us in so early & Stacey for saving the day! You're both angels!
