Close to the beach. Service was exceptional and friendly. I was served as soon as I walked in the door. This hotel is very cheap and worth every penny. Breakfast was fresh and hot. They have jacuzzi’s in their rooms which was awesome.

The man at the front desk was extremely rude and unhelpful, also the website charged my card $374.45 as a hold for the week I booked. When I showed up to the location to pay and check in I was told my card was denied and my payment that had been processed through my bank account was not being excepted by comfort inn. Even though the money was still removed from my account. This location robbed me of almost $400 and ruined my children’s week, unfortunately when attempting to talk to them about a solution I was offered literally nothing in return including the money that was stolen or even one night stay on the house. Even choice hotels themselves refuses to acknowledge the situation after speaking to my bank representative multiple times. I feel very taken advantage of. I attached photos of my online banking app as well as an email I was sent from comfort inn showing a blank invoice for $0 in their pathetic attempt to keep my money.

For one the pool is open, but for 2, the front desk personnel are awesome.

The owner was very prejudice and tried to keep my money the jacuzzi had green mold in it a very horrible place to go.

Very friendly staff. Convenient location next to interstate. Good breakfast. Nicer than expected room for the price level. One unusual thing was that we had to get couch bedding from the front desk and the house phone wasn't working. Great experience overall.

The Comfort Inn was a wonderful and clean hotel where the guest service was very friendly and helpful. Amber did a wonderful job explaining all the amenities and went above and beyond to provide local information. The breakfast was pretty good as well. Some of the equipment in the gym was out of order but who am I kidding, I wasn't going to use it! The tile floors in the pool area were very slick but the pool and the hot tubs we're very nice. I recommend this place!

My family and I stayed at this motel in July of 2018. The lady at the front desk was friendly and very helpful in solving a reservation mix-up. We were very impressed with the cleanliness of both our room and the entire property. Everything was spotless. A nice touch was the lemon infused water cooler by the elevator that we made use of several times. The breakfast was good and had a great selection including eggs, sausage, waffles, and cereal. The indoor pool and hot tub were great. If I wanted to complain about something, I'd say the hot tub was a bit cool, and the pool deck was sloped a bit more than most and the tile was pretty slick when wet — you had to really watch your step. But all-in-all, this motel is supurb for the price — stop and visit them!

Great hotel! Very clean. Great pool area — clean and modern! Everyone was very friendly. We stayed 3 nights while we visited the local beaches and Water park! The front desk has sand toys you can borrow to build a sand castle at the beach! If we visit the area agai. — this is where we will stay! Very pleased with everything!

It's an awsome hotel! The location is ok, but inside is clean and comfortable. Breakfast is just ok. The staff is excelent.

Only reason they earned 1 star instead of no stars at all is because you can't. My wife and I enjoy driving a couple hours from home just to stay in a new place and get in the hot tub. We paid almost $200 for a suite with a jacuzzi. We got there around 9pm. At the pool, there were 6 kids left with no parent so they were loud and splashing. The phone in our room didn't work, which we never use but tried to use it to call the front desk to tell them our jacuzzi was broken. They told us they would look into a solution for the tub, and at 11:20 p. M. Said there's nothing they could do and if we wanted a refund on the room we would have to leave by midnight. We were charged full price for the suite. Update: I received an email from the front desk manager apologizing for my inconvenience. They refunded the difference between jacuzzi room and the normal room plus 20% and gave us a coupon for 50% off our next stay. I appreciate the effort they have made to make it right. More importantly, I'm happy they said they have taken steps to ensure no one else has to experience what we went through.

Every clean… loved the front desk people and they actually have a pool and hot tub that is handicap accessible.

Pros: Affordable price. Good breakfast variety. Pool and hot tub were clean. Everything I expected for the price. I would probably return to this hotel for the right price. Cons: There was always a weird smell in the hallways and a little in the room. Kinda smelled like cigarettes even though they were smoke free areas. Only one water fountain in the building. Location was ok but not very close to any restaurants or stores.

Nice hotel, a bit noisy with the highway so close but it's tolerable. Very clean establishment and good breakfast. I would stay here again.

Stayed at a location in Porter, IN. Hotel was clean, quiet, and comfortable. Breakfast was fine given the room rate. Would stay again.

Pool and hot tub were clean and my kid had alot of fun using them. Rooms were as I expected them to be. Staff was friendly and helpful. Location is a little tricky as you can only access from one side of the road due to it being off a divided highway.

This hotel was great. We enjoyed our stay for the most part. The only real complaint we had was that the room was very hot, even with the air conditioner on blast. So due to this, my wife and I didn't sleep well. Other than that, the room was updated, comfortable and clean. The bed was nice. The staff were friendly and professional. It was a good hotel, just wish it wasn't so hot.

The reason why we stayed at this hotel was because their was a pool and hot tub. The pool was cold and the hot tub was luke warm. It was unfortunate that the temperatures were the way they were or we definitely would have came here again. Besides that it was a nice stay.

Great rooms. Great service. Only rated 4 because pool was closed (repairs ect) and we had a group that pre-planned for stay there because of the pool. But they gave discount for pool closure.

Poor staff attitude… everything broken: elevator, pool/ hot tub, exercise room… got squirts from breakfast! STAY AWAY! Found out the elevator was broken AFTER I checked in… the desk lady turned her back & walked away saying over her shoulder SORRY ABOUT THAT! Pins on hinges sticking out, snagged my coat!

This place is great and service is always great I love it.

I staid in a whirlpool room, and the room was clean and stocked with tea, coffee, and toiletries. The shower head is really high on the wall, and the pressure was low, so it was like I was being rained on. There is a spot of wallpaper that needs mended because it is peeling up. The staff is nice.

We travel a lot. We use Choice Hotels for reservations from car phone and Comfort Inn & Suites. This one is the best. Excellent refurbish 6 months ago, great quality building sith attention to detail service.

Hotel was really close to the facility I was working at for a few days, and has Subway, Pizza Hut, Popeyes, and Taco Bell all within 2 minutes of the hotel. Wifi was fast enough for Netflix on my tablet, but I couldn't manage to connect my PS4 to it, but the TV had multiple open HDMI ports though, which is always a welcome sight. Staff was very friendly, and rooms were clean and tidy. I'll be back up in that area in a few weeks, and I plan on staying at this hotel again.

Spent 3 nights at hotel for a girls getaway. Rooms nice and clean, staff friendly and nice pool area. Had a nice variety of hot and cold items to choose from for breakfast. Had a great experience at this hotel and close to Kemil beach, definitely choose again! Thanks.

Very clean, nice hotel. Very pleasant staff. Good breakfast and warm cookies. Nice pool and hot tub although chemistry was way off, my eyes got burned, they were really sore for about an hour. Other than that it was a great hotel.

The staff was very friendly and the breakfast bar has a great variety of options for our family. The waffle maker was a hit. Rooms were clean and they have a nice kitchen nook in the king bedrooms. They come with a fridge and microwave.

During our recent stay this past weekend at Comfort Inn Suites Burns Harbor in Porter Indiana we encountered the best customer service by far at this site. I was greeted by a Vanessa, she double checked the rate I was quoted over the phone instead of brushing me off. Maintenance was being done to the elevator so she kindly moved us to the first floor and made sure we had everything we needed on numerous occassions throughout the evening. Vanessa was very kind. Professional and understanding to our needs. The next morning an entire baseball team and their families were eating breakfast. I thought by the time we get in there nothing would be left. To my surprise we were greeted by a Jackie who worked her butt off and made sure everything was clean. Stocked. Hot if needed and ready to go! Props to Jackie. She was on top of it! The hotel was very clean including the pool/spa area as well as our room. I highly recommend this hotel, it is kid friendly! The price is right for having a pool, spa, hot breakfast and awesome staff! Thank you Jackie and Vanessa for making our stay enjoyable! We will definitely be returning!

Upon arrival, the facility was very clean and the lady at the front desk was very polite and informative. When we got into the room, we noticed a used plastic cup that had been left behind. We didn't really think much of it because things of the sort happen sometimes. Not really a big deal. Then I found out that our fridge did not function even after turning the dial all the way up. (they had it off after cleaning the room before we checked in) There was also a used bar of soap left behind in the shower. The pool area was nice and clean, but I was concerned that the floor surrounding the pool itself was hazardous. I almost slipped and fell and I also saw 2 other guests slip and fall while I was in there. I would not give this a hotel a BAD review because I thought the staff was very friendly and it was well kept up with outside of the minor things that were not right in our room. However, I just wanted to leave my personal review in hopes that these minor things can be tweaked to better experiences for future guests.

There's a smell when you come in. I think it's the jacuzzi, but it doesn't smell good. The rooms are spacious and guest service is excellent, but the smell is overwhelming and the only real reason I didn't give a better rating. Breakfast was a nice touch. Lots of fresh fruit and lots of options for everyone! Bed was comfortable. Rooms are clean.

When we arrived the room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The breakfest was ok its a continental breakfast. The things I disliked. We were here for 3 nights visiting the area. For 3 days they never emptied our trash cans. Day two they came in made the beds took all towels wash cloths and hand towels and left 3 bath towels for four people. Third night at 1:30am people were outside our door rolling around on the floor at 2am I called front desk noone answered. Which leads me to believe someone was asleep on the job! The pool was cloudy and floor very, very slick. Hot tub temp "bath water". So yes the rooms are clean the beds are comfortable and the people are nice. But don't expect much more on service.

I stayed here on a trip to Chicago. Clean and comfortable room. Staff was very nice when I asked for more towels. This is very convenient for visits to Chicago. Only 45 minutes away from down town. Please pay no attention to other reviewers who haven't even stayed at the hotel and don't understand liability concerns for non guests, or who know enough about the internet to write a review, but not enough to book online.

My elderly sister (82) and I stayed here in May — we were overcharged because we didn't know how to use internet and they refused to give discounted rate if we didn't book online. Credit card machines down on checkout and they were very unprofessional about receipt. Refused to give one! decided to try one more time — we come to town every other month to visit granddaughter who lives nearby — this time the girl who answered phone was rude and disrespectful and flat out said "i don't want to talk to you right now — you need to call back later" and hung up on me! We will NEVER stay here again! My daughter stopped by to speak with manager who was not willing to do anything. They don't care about customer service or making things right or fairness. Just the money they make.

We were stuck in traffic for 3 hours on a trip from MI to CA. My son got car sick and threw up all over himself and his car seat. We stopped and asked if we could use the laundry services, and pay for them. After paying for the laundry soap and exchanging money for quarters, I mentioned that I was grateful they would let us use their machine without being guests, and was at that time denied access. I had to give the soap and quarters back and then had to dangerously and illegally drive around looking for laundry services with my two year old unable to sit in his car seat. Are they required to let me use them? No. Would it of been the decent thing to do? Absolutely.
