My wife needs a room with a no step shower (i. E. Not in a tub) and the accessible rooms here were perfect. The room was clean and pleasant; ongoing remodeling (we were in a remodeled room) promises continued good accommodations. Highly recommended. A little hard to find off I-80, get good instructions or us a GPS with the address.

The room was was visually appealing however; the floors were dirty which became noticeable after taking my bath and walking on the floors. My feet became dirty and I tracked dirt as I walk around the room. I needed to rehash my feet as well as wiping the floors. I stayed in the same room two different visits. The floors were the same even after I filed a comment on a comment card on my previous visit. On Friday June 15th I register for a room again. It rained heavily during the night/early morning. I noticed water on the floor near the window. I don't know if it was coming from the air condition system or rain seeping through/underneath the walls. The desk staff was 9 out of 10. The cleaning staff was below a 8.0…

The desk clerk, Ms. Ava, was very friendly, helpful and professional. The room was clean and modern especially the bathroom. The wooden floor had some kind of oily cleaner that felt strange on our bare feet, so had to wear sandals or shoes all the time. The traffic noise was also very intense especially in the evening. Luckily I can block out this kind of noise to sleep but had to put the TV up loud to hear over the traffic sounds. This was the loudest I've ever heard traffic noise in a motel room. The Interstate is just too close. I recommend a room on the back side facing away from the freeway. Maybe that would help.

Yesenia was extremely helpful, professional, and informative during check in. She answered all of my questions, going above & beyond My expectations of hospitality. The only thing I would change was the noise from the construction going on near our room. I do understand that improvements are necessary, and I can appreciate that. Also, as we were entering our room, a staff member who had been cleaning the room was exiting, with the tools & materials he had used while prepping the room. It would have been helpful if he had informed us that the floor in our room was drenched with water used to clean th floor. It was extremely wet & slippery, taking over an hour to dry. Overall our stay was a positive experience.

Clean room, comfortable bed Door card reader kept messing up and had to get the card reset every time I opened the door. Not a big fan of hardwood floors, but they were very clean and nice. Good stay for 60/night! Ava at the front desk is very awesome. She called my room to make sure everything was acceptable! Would give five stars if they had microwave and mini fridge.

Every time I come back to my home town Hammond I stay at the Motel 6. This trip I stayed in a Handicap room with my mom and my 2 kids. The room was nice and clean. I loved how big the bathroom was. It was so nice and cozy and I felt safe. When I went to check out the next morning the staff was so pleasant as well. I will be back soon!

Excellent place to stay. The rooms are well maintained. It is a little difficult to reach but worth the money.

Great Room for the price. The towels could be thicker and more absorbant. However, when we asked for extra towels it was not a problem. Prefect location right off the highway. Will be staying again.

It would be 5 stars but there was no iron. The front desk called to check on me and I asked for an iron and the lady said they didn't have any in the whole hotel?! That's just great that I had to leave back out and go and purchase an iron. The hotel was very clean and I enjoyed the upgrades. Do be sure to clean behind the towel shelf though, pretty gross stuff back there. The room smelled and looked great otherwise and the shower was very hotel and pressure good. I slept great and will stay again.

The staff here was extremely good and helpful. I didn’t know what to expect, but the front desk person was professional and friendly, and the room was clean and tidy. I rarely write reviews, but thought this service and location deserved an attaboy!

Nice rate, great room. Stayed there a night with my sister the rooms are modern. There were shady characters hanging outside of the establishment but I can’t blame the hotel. I slept well.

In the hotel have been redone inside. It is gorgeous! You are wonderful colors in. Very modern. Very comfortable but it’s very feminine. The only problem is that the fake wood floor is porous and you do not see this but your feet and socks will be black if you are barefoot and you can’t walk barefoot in there or you will have black feet! I think they need to clean their room floors. They have the biggest most gorgeous bathroom bathtub I’ve ever seen at a hotel in this price range.

Dirty comforter on bed; cold room, no heat adjustment available. Staff was nice. Had a little bug of some sort in the bathroom—-did not get close for inspection. After a lifetime of hearing the kind and witty commercials from Tom Bodett, I hope you leave the lights off.

I have stayed at this location many times before with not much problems but this last stay the lock on my room malfunctioned and locked me out of the room at about 5:15am. I only went outside to clean snow off my girlfriend's car as she had to go to work so I had on only my coat and boots and pajama pants — my cell phone was in the room. I went to the front desk at that time and the lady tried to open the door but could not. She told me that she would give me another room until she could get my room door open and she would let me know as soon as possible. The room she put me in was a handicap room that the TV didn't allow me to see the channels on the menu guide and the telephone did not work. I sat there in the room for about an hour then I went back to the front desk to find that there was another employee working front desk. She was so very rude and unconcerned about my dilemma her response was this type of thing happens all the time. I told her I really needed to get my things out of room because I had to go to my daughters sporting event that was over an hour away drive and the weather was bad. She told me that she could do nothing because the maintenance guy had a set time to come to work and that I had to wait. So I waited in the lobby for over an hour when she told me that the maintenance guy would be late. When I asked to talk to the manager she told me that she was off that day and I asked her to call her so I could speak to her.

Very nice staff. Room was very clean and organized. Minutes away from restaurants and shopping definitely will go back.

Bed was comfortable. Room smelled nice. But the floor was dirty And the smoke alarm was not functioning which was concerning. The battery door was open and I was unable to close it. I pressed the “test” button and nothing. But I’m sure that was a rare occurrence. All in all good room for the price.

Not bad for a avitacion of a night even though deverian of camboar the door cards nostubieron to change the card three times and with a temperature of — 10°F literal mind frozen at the end we were given a keycard that did work.

The front desk girl was very polite and nice. Fast check in. She showed me on the map where my room was. Thank you will come again.

Everything about the room was great except you couldn't turn the heat up past 78degrees. Also $119 room haf a $15 tax. Room was clean and nice. I really loved that. I will return! ☺

We checked in at the front desk, and went to the room they told us to go to. When we got to the room, we walked in, and there was already a family in there, with a dog. We had our dog too, the two dogs almost got into a fight. It was so scary. I went back to the front desk and told them what happened. They just stuck us in another room, acted like it was no big deal. It was a big deal, it was a very big deal. I had my one year old daughter with me, thank god that the people in the room didn't just turn and shoot when the door suddenly opened. Also, the new room we got smelled like weed so bad it was crazy, and there was a cigarette burn in the comforter, but at least there weren't already people in the second room I guess.

We waited ten minutes before we could check in. The staff was changing and we were told to wait until they had completed the staff changes. The door to our room was difficult to open and I had to wait till my family opened the door for me. There were four of us in the room, however we were only given 3 bath towels and one small bar of soap. I contacted food poisoning and when asked for two rolls of toilet paper they gave us one. The next morning I was still ill and went to the office to get another one and said I should wait for housekeeping. I replied "I am ill and need another roll now. " Housekeeping DID NOT remake the beds. It's obvious that they had to climb out of the window to get out because the window screen was on the floor of our room and the window lock had been taken off and left on the sill! Nowhere when I booked did it state the motel was under construction. Next door is a "Strip club" which was why hookers and their pimps keep racing through the parking lot which almost broadsided my vehicle and were blocking the road as he called out to his girls to get going! This was the MOST unpleasant stay I've had at a motel! I'm disappointed and disgusted by the worst service we have had at your establishment.

Toilet needed to be cleaned more thoroughly! Overall a great experience, although I wish the guests placed next door to us would have been put somewhere far away but I guess you can't have your cake and eat it too lol I would definitely recommend this for a short or extended stay. My puppy loved it and so did I.

The room was clean on the surface. I left there was stain on comforter I was told to take it off no one sleeps under that anyway. The phone was old looked like it hadn't been cleaned in FOREVER. The final straw after I wiped down everything and sprayed disinfectant was the toilet. It had black mold around the rim. I Left and went to a different hotel. I spoke to the manager the next morning. She apologized I and was given a full refund.

The hotel is good. The only observation is that it does not spruced up the beds and did not change the sheets. All the rest is fine and would use.

I really enjoy the location and easy accessibility to your hotel. I thought I have found that on my previous stays at this particular hotels Motel 6 that my rooms have not been thoroughly cleaned bathrooms have been found to still have hair and stains in the toilet as well as debris on the floor. The bathroom still have items left on the floor for the previous stay I have found that the beds the Linens haven't been changed they just been restricting found pubic hairs cigarette butts and other items left in the morning when I brought this to the attention of the person on duty she told me that there was no way that this could be happening and I actually had to check out and go and stay somewhere else because I could not believe that she would tell me this I was lying to her and that I wasn't seeing what I was saying. But since then I have returned and I stayed three or four nights a week I have sent I am still experiencing rooms that are not there only being clean sweat and or mop and dust it nor are they being thoroughly changed as far as bed linens.

I love staying at Motel 6; the idea that you've "left the light on" for me and I will have a clean safe and affordable place to lay my head after a long day of traveling is reassuring. This trip was no different. The hotel staff at this particular motel were amazing; my husband is a cancer patient and needs certain special accommodations and the staff were so receptive and engaging. From the front desk to the room attendants to the guys removing trash, etc. Everyone was wonderful. Thank you again for a marvelous stay. We explored Chicago but came back each night for 4 nights to sleep in Hammond Indiana at Motel 6. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

The young lady at the service desk was awesome… I understand that the rooms are being renovated but I had to fix the toilet as it was running when we first entered the room… you might need to replace the inside of it the tub was not cleaned so I had some cleaning supplies in my van and cleaned that and the toilet and the sink up. As I said the front desk service was exceptional!

Was a surprising discovery at the last minute. Stayed with a toddler and I will recommend it absolutely. Clean and very friendly. However doesn't have any fridge, only a communal microwave. They also have a great complimentary coffee in the morning, which helped kick start the next bit of travel. Will visit again for sure.

For the extremely low price, my stay at Motel 6 has been much better than expected. The computer system was originally broken when we first arrived so we had to wait an hour before we could check-in. However, our room is neat and clean. The ac works, the bed is decent, and the shower is nice. There is plenty of parking so we are able to park immediately outside our door. Staff and other guests have mostly been polite and left us alone.

Check in experience was good, overall room condition was good, especially the A/C. However, the bathroom could have been cleaner. A bigger issue was guest noise coming from exterior corridors. Even during and after a visit by 4 police vehicles, the noise continued. On a positive note, the desk clerk told a large number of guests to disperse from an exterior corridor stair location, that she observed on camera while I was checking in.

Hammond / Gary Indiana area. Customer service wasn't the best OK rooms. Area is good though not far from everything.

Very helpful staff. Upgraded modern furnishing; flat-screen television with Direct TV; wood floors; nice work space and Wi-Fi access; updated bathroom with granite counter tops all added to the nice room. They do not include breakfast but I would rather not pay $50+ for breakfast for the difference in the cost of a typical motel room! They do have an ice machine and vending. The bed was comfortable and the room was quiet and clean. Great value for the price!

Upon arrival I was greeted by Liwon at the front desk. She was accommodating and friendly. We were told I would be able to park my truck, (box truck/moving truck) at the back of the facility. After paying for the reservation and receiving a room key, unloading luggage, and getting settled in, I happened to be outside by my truck and was approached by a man named Carl Edwards. I had no idea who this man was and was told I could not park my truck in area it was located. Even after confirming with the front desk that it would be ok to park a moving truck on the premise. He never identified himself as the property manager and as a result I wasn't sure whom I was speaking with. Upon hearing the ruckus outside my wife came outside to inform the man that she had been reassured I could park my truck on the premises. Carl became belligerent with my wife informing her that "he didn't care what she had been told, you can't park that truck on the property". I immediately asked for a total refund of payment and was told we could take it to the front desk After viewing Mr. Edwards berate the front desk attendant, we removed our belongings from the room and proceeded to the front desk. We were again greeted by Liwon politely and we apologized regarding the discrepancy with the on site property manager. Moreover, I would like to briefly state the condition of the property upon arrival.

Affordable rates friendly staff, didnt call person who was a friend.

As always the staff was great! I really wish they would get a ATM machine, Would make my stays more simple!

Everything was good it was my second time there in the Hamman location the rooms where nice and clean and good customer service I did enjoy the stay there.

Chose this location to be close to family during a medical event. Turned out to be a bad choice. The rooms at this location were renovated, however our room still smelled of cigarette smoke, the door latch was missing and the heater never got the room above 64 degrees during 13 below-zero weather. Wind whistled through the windows and under the door, and the adjoining room door let in light and noise from the adjacent room. We were not able to get extra blankets because housekeeping didn't open until 10am. Probably would be a good place to stay in other seasons, just not winter.

Rude staff. Had an attitude about the fact that I had a 30ft trailer behind my ford. Told me I had to leave because they "didn't have room. " Lot was half empty at 11 at night. I even offered to park in the back. She got snotty with me and told me to go elsewhere.

Rude manager I slept 13 mins past check out and was putting on my shoes to walk up and pay for my room my wife had to wake me up. He knocked on the door and started yelling as I opened it. And started threatening me… I will never stay at this bed bug infested motel my room smelled like dog feces. The tiolet wasn't clean and my door was broken. If you want to be harassed by management be my guest because they are not professional at all its just tge worst place to got if you work late.

The staff at the front desk got us checked in and in our rooms quickly. I stayed a couple of nights with my grand kids, and we really enjoyed the stay. Just want to say, Thank you and keep up the great work.

Guy killed 7 woman there last night.

OMG bugs. I can't believe it. But this place has bed bugs. Pulled back the cover. Looked at the pillows and a bed bug crawled over the pillow. I got the heck out of there and u should do the same before u come here. I don't care how cheap it is. U don't wanna sleep with no bugs. Or bring them home with u. Think about it. Motel 6 n merriville is clean with no bugs. Worth the slightly further drive to be bug free.

Not in the best area, but being from Detroit, it's a step up. Front desk was very courteous. Got to my room and the AC was crankin, which made it nice considering I checked in at 1am with a muggy 86 degrees outside. Room was clean and comfy. Bathroom was fine.

The front desk staff is always friendly but management was less than helpful. The room I was checked I n was still dirty from the previous guest and was part of a group that is occcupied by my company being that the previous guest requested no service before they checked out management gave me trouble about coming in to clean the room. They didnt even come out of the office to address my issue but were so cowardly they made the girl at the front desk go back and forth to relay the conversation.
