My fiancé and I, alone with several of her family members, stayed here from 7-1 to 7-5. No housekeeping was available unless requested prior to 11am. On 7-3, we tried after 11 to request service but were told nobody was available and we could get our items from the front desk. After leaving for the day, we came back to request our items (toilet paper and towels). We were told by a housekeeper on our floor that she already stocked our room. We then find several items, including cash, missing from our room and our daughters room. Management showed little concern, refused to check cameras, and the GM refused to speak with us on the phone. Of the several thousand dollars our whole family spent on rooms there we were offered 100.00 total to replace our items, which cost 150.00. Beware — possible thieves working here. We now had to resort to filing a police report.

The workers is awesome. The room cleaned. Breakfast worth walking down for. Good coffee. Cheerful workers. Close drive to things around South Bend.

Comfort Suites are my favorite Choice property, and this location upholds the standards of the banner and then some. First of all — this isn’t your average sized Comfort Suites, this place is huge and even has a few meeting rooms inside. Check in was quick and painless. 24 hour printing station, gym and store access. Beautiful indoor, temperature controlled pool and hot tub open all the way till 10pm. Rooms are huge and feature fold out couch, fridge and microwave. Breakfast was much better than the IGH continental — I liked the fried eggs much better than the juicy fake scrambled ones you see most everywhere else. Also it was nice to see coin operated laundry with a twist — it actually takes credit cards which saved the day. Overall a great stay here, would put this property up against a Staybridge any day of the week. 10/10

The Comfort Suites University Area was the perfect spot for a break in a week filled with driving. Suite had plenty of room for me to spread out, reorganize and relax while catching MNF. Everywhere I went on property was clean, the room was comfortable and quiet. Plenty of options close by to eat or grab a drink. Didn't have time for breakfast, but looked like a lot of guests were enjoying it (smelled great too). Had a quick workout and was back on the road. A quick stay but when I come back to South Bend, I'll book this hotel. Thanks for a great stay.

It's nice that a lot of fun there pool.

Random people were allowed to run the halls all night long. I felt very unsafe, Kayla the GM is very rude and she has her front desk people trained to not yo help you either. They took way more money then they were supposed to from. My bank account and did ebweuthing in their power not to give it back, I finally had to file a claim with my credit card company as a fraudulent charge just to get my money back. I am so glad we only stayed the one night and then changed to the Inn at Saint Mary's which was very nice, and they didnt try to RIP us off.

I stay here due to proximity to the office I need to visit while traveling in the area. The location is nothing to write home about, and there is nothing within walking distance for decent food or shopping. There are many restaurants in the area, so this is not a huge deal. The hotel itself is fine, no real complaints. However, the hotel room itself is a little wanting. The AC unit smells very musty and the beds are firm in the way that a well-used mattress feels. The water is also VERY soft, so plan an additional 5 minutes for your morning routine to wash all the soap out. 'Slippery when wet' takes on a whole new meaning — I'm not sure if they are softening it on site, or if this is a regional municipal water issue. The continental breakfast is sufficient, with plenty of choices and good coffee (which is my concern). The front desk staff is helpful and friendly. Overall, it's fine for a place to crash overnight, but if you're here for a week, chances are you'll wish you'd upgraded.

Thankful that this smoke free hotel actually smelled smoke free. Room needed a serious dusting — between towels in bathroom and around beds and furniture. Beds were comfortable and my husband wished he had their pillows for home use. Breakfast was hot and plentiful. Enough options for gluten free son with Celiac disease although the breakfast hostess seemed annoyed when I asked about the bulk container of Cheerios — I wouldn't trust those because raisin bran was mixed in toward the top of the dispenser on the last day. Pool was smaller than expected and cloudy water. Husband said hot tub wasn't that hot. Our view was of the top of the carport over the hotel entry but at least there were no bright lights when we were sleeping. Motion detecting lights in the bathroom were an annoyance for middle of the night toilet needs. I would go here again because it smelled better than many other supposedly smoke free hotels.

Great place to stay. I was very comfortable here for three nights. The bed was amazing. I slept better than at home.

I'm making the review after day 1 out of the 6 we're staying there. So far the rooms are great and so are the amenities from the pool, workout room, and Wi-Fi (about 35 up and 20 down). The breakfast was alright as it was the usual on hot breakfast options. Eggs, sausage, waffles, yogurt, banana, oatmeal, and all the usual breads. The eggs we're not good at all but they do have them even still if you wanted to cover it in whatever you put on eggs then they are edible.

Excellent room, 2 rooms in one actually, so much space, can't even compare to what we get in California for this price. Kids were thrilled with the bunk beds, very clean, great linens and bathroom, too! Close to food places. Highly recommend for families with children. And apparently it's dog friendly — would have brought our lab if we knew!

Comfort is their name and Suites are there game. Breakfast pool hot tub I absolutely love this place it would stay here every year. They offer discounts for multiple nights which is excellent plus their breakfast is fantastic. I don't know if it's me getting better at making waffles or if it's their waffles but their waffles were freaking fantastic.

Donuts and muffins were good. We had some issues with the projector in the conference room. Conference room was great otherwise.

Good location and inclusive free breakfast, nothing to really complain about. The beds weren't anything special, but the room was easily traversable and comfortable.

The hotel is nice enough. The rooms and public areas are seem clean and well maintained, the staff is kind, the breakfast is a free hotel breakfast. Overall, it's a good hotel for the price.

At gas station dont care for nosey ppl but I hear really good things about the hotel we will have to try this out.

We stayed here so we could be close to the casino for my fiancees bday… room was nice and clean. We also did our wedding cake tasting in the lobby… but. We had to leave at 7 am and thought we would go grab something to eat at the complimentary breakfast. Well. When we got down there the juice was all water. We told the lady at the desk and she came over to try to fix it but all she did was complain hhow it wasnt her job and she had other things to do… she opened the machine and I could see it was set on 'flush' instead of dispense. Nicely pointed it out and she said she didnt know what to tell me. That the machine supposedly was fixed. I said that it was fine and settled for coffee… went back to our room to drop off pur coffee and went back to get a waffle… when I was looking how to do it. The same lady yelled to me that it also wasnt working because she didnt know where the breakfast person was and she had to get her stuff done too! … so we left. Went to McDonald's and decided we woukd not be back… and we love to gamble but next time we will find somewhere else… if she had been nicer and more friendly we would not of minded so much. But she was rude and made the atmosphere very uncomfortable.

We live close to this hotel and when remodeling our bathroom we chose to stay here. After long days of work it sure would of been nice to relax in the hot tub offered, however the hours of operation of the pool room are horrible. It's in a seperate area and has no reason it can't be offered to the people for different hours. The room was not cleaned properly. We stayed 5 days here and sure didn't get to use or enjoy what was offered. As I said we were working long hours on our remodeling. I went downstairs at 2am for a pain aid in my car and asked the clerk for a sip of juice and she said there wasn't anything aval. However when I later was leaving for work at 4am I see this same clerk making what appeared to be toast for herself. You have my opinion. Have a good day and God Bless.

Nice clean decent breakfast. Samantha was wonderful and very helpful. Very pleasant and even offered me some of her dinner.

I love this place it's amazing hotel with luxury all around for a relaxing stay and I feel like a queen or King you want to stay here I definitely recommend it.

Good place to get a room for the weekend. (or how ever long you would like) Close to restaurants and other food choices. Comfortable place to lay your head down at.

This place is disgusting. I spent a great amount of money to stay here for the night with my daughter and her best friend. We have been to this hotel multiple times and have had no problems. That is until tonight. After lying down for the night, I started itching and feeling as though I was being bit by something. Long and behold our hotel room has bed bugs! I went down to the lobby to let the woman at the front desk know and she simply says “oh there was only one?! ”. Are you kidding me?!? Since when is there ever JUST ONE bed bug. And then the only other option she had for me was to give us a room that was more than HALF of what we probably paid for. Keep your disgusting rooms and learn how to treat your customers better! We will never be coming here again.

The rooms were clean, the staff was friendly and the beds we're comfortable. The location was a little out of the way, so you had to drive instead of walk to find some food.

Very nice, but a little pricey compared to similar places elsewhere in town. Suppose it's because this one is the only place of the recognized chains on the Southside of town.

The staff was extremely rude and belittled me because I paid with cash instead of credit card. And when I told her how rude she was and how it made me feel she said "that is not my problem"

We had a GREAT stay at this hotel. Top quality pool. Spacious room. We booked the two-king suite which was two stories … Amazing! Marking this one on our list to visit again!

Very accommodating. Had to have a work meeting relocated last minute and they had a conference room available at a good price. Staff helped set up tables, chairs, and audio/video equipment. Good overall experience.

Excellent hotel for a fantastic price — room was spacious/clean, Wi-Fi worked and was fast, and the staff were extremely courteous. Climate control was easy to use and worked well. Great breakfast (hot food as well as the standard items). Pool and hot tub is a huge plus — while the hot tub was not very hot, it was still a pleasant perk. Location is somewhat inconvenient if taking the interstate through north Indiana, but it is located right next to a highway. Great experience overall, I would stay there again.

Stayed overnight here to do some work in the area. Have to say, the room was very spacious, clean, and comfortable. No problems checking in or out. Good selection of breakfast items. Will stay again if I'm in the general vicinity.

The worst customer service ever! The security in this hotel is compromised at every door, rocks holding them open. There was a mentally unstable man staying on our floor. They wouldn't check anyone onto the floor but didn't move us. I have tried to get in touch with management but they won't return calls or correspondence. Do not stay here. They don't like groups and you won't be safe.

I stayed in a suit on the first floor and it was AMAZING! The showers are clean with great water pressure, the towels were crisp white and soft, the king bed was to die for and the jacuzzi tub was great as well. My experience was very relaxing and my housekeeper Michele was very attentive and hospital. She deserves recommendation for her hard work and dedication to her job and the people/rooms she cares for. Overall great experience. I highly recommend this hotel and will tell my friends.

The manager thought we smoked in our room but we smoked outside so our clothes might​ have smelled like it. He tried not to give me my$150 deposit back so I snapped and told him to call the cops. Long story short in banned from their and I got my money back. Fucking Arab. Never had trouble any other times though. I won't be going back because this dude was rude as fuck. Comfort inn needs to fire him. Their is my opinion. Thanks have a nice day. I hope u lose ur job dude or get demoted. @ (100006792452824:Kerin Hildebrand) am I right babe. We were there for a hockey tournament this past weekend. The staff were very demanding that we as families adhere to 10 pm quiet hours — — Adults included and would not allow use of common lobby space to congigate and have adults talk. Adults felt as if we were treated like children. We wanted to use the outdoor space that included a bonfire space and they refused to refill the propane tank. The weather allowed us to be outside in the rear parking lot to tailgate and the desk staff made up rules about emergency exits that were never marked legally and we're not even close to being wheelchair accessible for a few in our group. I offered to rent the meeting room at a charge so my group could "bond" and kids could be together in one space and was turned down. Ironically that space was not even in use at the time I requested it. If you plan to attend tournaments or have large events or groups travel to South Bend Indiana do not use comfort suites South Bend.

Nice rooms. Decent pool area. Nice workers. Quiet. Only bad thing I have to say is the elevator makes some weird noises. But all good other than that!

The staff was great — they were helpful and there was always someone present at the desk. The room was clean and quiet at night, and the AC worked well. The only problem I had was with the Wi-Fi, which I could never get to work on my work laptop.

The room service was very excellent, and my room was very nice. 10/10 would stay again.

The room was very spacious, the amenities were organized and displayed very neatly. The good nights sleep on that memory foam mattress was just what I needed! Would definitely stay with them again!

We had a house fire and our insurance put us in a hotel until they could find a rental. The rental process took two months. Being at a hotel for two months in no fun thats for sure, BUT… The staff at Comfort Suites and the cleanliness of the rooms are outstanding! We were always greeted with smiles, cheerful — can-do attitudes! Our room was always fresh and clean when we returned from work each day… with the smell of warm cookies greeting you in the afternoon. They even allowed our friends and family to visit us while staying and use the pool. I cannot say enough about this hotel or the wonderful people who work there. If you need a comfortable bed and a clean room with a kind greeting… this is the place. Super stars work here!

Clean rooms. Fairly quiet. Accommodating to our situation.

Bathroom door was broke! Pool room was filthy and cold! Couldn't get the TV to work! Checked in couldn't use my card cause they don't take cards that don't have ur name on them! I understand about the whole thing with damages and stuff but I had to get my daughter to use her card to get a room! Unfair to those who have no credit card!

Rooms were fine, pretty dusty, pool was horrible, wayyyy too much chlorine. I couldn't stop sneezing, eyes burned, couldn't stay there for ten minutes.

Nice rooms, comfortable beds, decent breakfast. The air in the room was way too dry, not enough humidity. Location is convenient.

Southbend Indiana Comfort Suites, Kern rd. Exit off of 31… There rooms are very nice, clean and high functioning, for the prices. All of the staff was very helpful and nice.

I am very disappointed in this hotel. I made my reservation on line and when I called to cancel (20 days before arrival) I was told that I would have to pay $98 to cancel because they required a 30 day cancellation. When I looked at my reservation it did not show that… until I scrolled down past all the reservation information, hotel graphics, a blank area and then, finally, the fine print which did state the policy. I then spent over 40 minutes on hold with customer relations and all she would do was call the hotel and got the same answer I did. Their confirmation was deceptive. Unacceptable when customer service is their business. I will no longer stay in any Choice Hotel affiliates.
