I've gone 3yrs in a row. The restaurant has phenomenal food. The hotel rooms are quaint yet still have quality luxury bathrooms. The staff is friendly and helpful. They have spa services and the town of Geneva has so many options of things to do out and about for the days of your stay. They do offer a continental breakfast although next year I will be trying Buttermilk (the breakfast restaurant kitty corner from the hotel, walking distance) or even their own offerings of serviced breakfast.

Stayed and attending my Niece's wedding. This is the most romantic, elegant Inn we have ever stayed in. I would rate the Inn and Banquet facility over a 10 if I could. The food was very well prepared and plated, the waiters were flawless.

Restaurant Visit Only. Absolutely excellent. Great drinks, professional service, awesome food. Atmosphere so chill. Can't wait to go back.

The hotel and staff are amazing. We went there for dinner, and stayed for drinks. The wait staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. We spoke to the gentleman behind the desk who told us about the full service spa and room accommodations. We ended up booking a room for the next weekend. All of the hotel employees greeted us whenever we saw one. Everyone was very nice and very helpful. This is a very nice hotel, and we would definitely recommend it.

Attended a wedding and reception there. The staff was outgoing, efficient and always courteous. The food was excellent.

Los cuartos se ven antiguos (menos los baños), pero estaban bien limpios. Nos encantó las galletas y leche que traen cómo merienda cuando acomodan la recamara para descansar. El servicio era bien humilde. El desayuno podría ser mil veces mejor. Solo había cereal, huevos hervido, y algunos panes. Todo en todo, tuvimos una noche relajada.

We love this place. Beautiful location, cute little town. Close to a lot of shopping. We will continue to come back every year.

Attended a private function. Love the room — the brick details are beautiful. The food setup was nice, the bartender was good, definitely like private events here.

We had a third floor room overlooking the Fox River and it was amazing. Incredible vaulted ceilings in our room with a nice fireplace. The large whirlpool spa tub was great — plenty of hot water and quickly filled up. We enjoyed the warm cookies at turn down as well! Mostly quiet, but you are in the downtown area so expect some street noise. My wife and I enjoyed the breakfast, it was a rather small selection but all fresh and good. We would definitely go again!

Luxurious girls trip with my daughter. Beautiful setting and a special treat for us. We had a courtyard room on the first floor and enjoyed being able to walk into the garden and watch the birds on the Fox River. Loved the ambiance!

I came in for lunch and to go to the spa with my girlfriend whom I haven’t seen in years. The lady at the spa was very rude. She was on her phone and didn’t care what I had to say. She’s a young lady, I didn’t even catch her name. I will never come to the spa in the Herrington ever again. Horrible expierience. As for the rest of the hotel, it was beautiful. The food was amazing and the server was supurb. I will be back to chow down again very soon.

My visit was to send some time with family. The rooms were clean and welcoming. The staff was friendly and respectful to my requests. Besides some minor notices of shower mold things were great.

Atwater's restaurant within the Herrington Inn & Spa was wonderful. Server was attentive and friendly. Quaint little restaurant with beautiful view of the river and cozy little fireplace. Food was delicious and presentation phenomenal!

Would give less than one star if possible. We visited this Hotel to celebrate our new business being formed. We had to wait over an hour for our room to be ready. So we left to walk the town. We come back to stand in line for another 30 minutes while some very questionable guests where trying to check in. We got to over hear about how high they were and how high they were going to get later. The wait, and experience were just terrible.

The room was beautiful and service was great. The inroom food menu was lacking as was the breakfast. Over all I would stay there again.

This is a first rate hotel. The rooms are first class. Get a room on the Fox river side which is on the east side of the hotel. It is very close to downtown Geneva. There is a free continental breakfast. The staff is very friendly and helpful. There is a spa in the hotel. There is also a first class restaurant in the hotel for fine dining. Recommended.

If you have the opportunity to have your wedding at Herrington Inn, take it! Everything about it is fantastic! The "Pumphouse" reception room is simply decorated and beautiful with an upstairs loft area overlooking the main floor, and windows looking over a lovely and spacious patio with a view of the river! The food options they provide are so excellent that it was very hard for us to narrow down our choices at our tasting, which they set up to be a fantastic experience. The inn itself is elegant and beautiful, and our honeymoon suite was absolutely incredible. We were particularly impressed with the entire staff, both the reception and the hotel. They made us and all of our guests feel like royalty every time we were there. Deanne and Rose, the event coordinators for Herrington, were especially a pleasure to work with from the very start. They made the entire planning process so easy and stress-free for us, and they personally tended to us throughout the reception to take care of anything we needed! We are blown away by the level of quality service we received at Herrington and we've heard numerous times from our guests at how wonderful the evening was and how much fun everyone had. We are forever grateful to the Herrington Inn Staff for being such a huge part of making our special day truly wonderful. We can't wait to come back and visit! Thank you!

This place provides a resort like experience, one of my favorite spots for a weekend getaway. Amazing views of the river from the balcony, clean and well kept.

I went for a wedding (not mine). The grounds around the outdoor wedding were landscaped beautifully with a nice view of the river. The food during the reception was very good. Great experience overall.

Absolutely amazing time. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. Stayed in a junior suite and was blown away by everything the room had to offer. King 4 poster bed, giant jetted tub big enough for my 6ft frame to fully soak and the view from the walk out balcony is gorgeous. Spa treatments are kind of odd with check-in on the first floor and the actual treatments done on the second. That said, the robes are ultra soft, the massage specialist really know what they are doing and the heated floor shower room is well laid out and stocked. I can't wait to make another trip to the best hotel in Geneva, IL.

Fantastic riverside views. Love that it's close to the damn so you can leave your door open and listen to the rapids. Good size rooms and amazing tub! Milk and cookies brought to your room each night! Did a overnight package that included strawberries and champagne.
