We stayed for a wedding this past weekend and the room was great, the hotel and banquet hall awesome and services just as awesome. Services were that of a 4 Star Hotel… highly recommend.

The hotel is up to date and very clean. I felt very safe and clean during these weird times.

Truly a gem! Excellent staff and newly renovated rooms. Rates are unbelievably reasonable, coming in from Indy's high hotel prices! Stayed to vet the place ahead of booking a group rate… Group rate booked for sure! Highly recommended.

Very clean, quiet and private. The Brick House has great food. My only complaint was that the so called eggs for breakfast tasted weird.

Love this place, we come at least once a year, when the fair is here, very updated rooms, bar very nice, pool, awesome, very accommodating. I highly recommend the U hotel.

This was a great average hotel. The rooms smelled fine, there were no bugs, and the AC worked very well.

I just stayed here for several days and was deeply disappointed. If you look at their website you get the impression this is an upscale hotel, but that impression fades completely upon check in. The laundry list of issues I had: 1. The pool was not in operation despite the assurance a week prior to check in that it would be, the hotel granted a discounted rate, but only AFTER I demanded it. 2. The suite was filthy; food left in the kitchen sink; food left inside the pull out sofa in the LR (BTW… no person could ever sleep on this thing) ; hair in the shower, and an alarm clock on the floor behind the nightstand in the bedroom (COVERED in dust), which was never moved despite mentioning it twice to the manager. 3. The batteries in the both the lock for the door as well as the TV remotes needed changed in order to be operative. 4. The suite had an unpleasant "stuffiness" in the air, which the A/C units couldn't seem to overcome. There are limited options in Charleston, but Mattoon is only 10 miles away and affords a number of less expensive and better options with well established national brands. This is a definite NO for me. I won't be back.

Exceptional setting. Wonderful customer and locally owned. The restaurant and bar are fantastic — big city feel in Charleston, OK. Everything was great, and I'll be back with friends!

I reserved the wrong weekend, gave them a call five days in advance and got the dates switched and everything else stayed the same. Customer support is really nice and helpful. Website is very easy to use.

They have fun for all in the bar at night. Plus a pool when warm.

The service above all gives the place the four stars. The food itself is more in the three star realm. The staff is always very attentive and friendly. It's genuine. It is very clean and welcoming. It is a great place to have receptions or special events.

We had my daughter's birthday party there and then stayed the night. Everyone was very pleasant. Breakfast was good.

Pretty good hotel. Excellent service from front desk. Parking right by the room is nice. Very clean and cozy. Wi-Fi connection is excellent.

The bar and restaurant are amazing! As well as all of the staff was very friendly and helpful! The rooms were impeccably cleaned and very comfortable!

Dinner at the Brickhouse was delicious and the service was outstanding! Highly recommend it!

Recently had my wedding here, Paul and his staff are very accommodating at every phase of the event. We were able to plan our wedding in Charleston as EIU alum, event though we live in KC, thanks to help from Paul. It was a wonderful evening and we received many complements throughout the night about the venue. We loved the food so much, that we ate there almost every day we stayed, even stuck around for Sunday brunch (worth it! ).

Unique Suites Hotel was a great stay. The rooms were clean and nice. I'd stay here again.

We stayed in room 305 and found the prices to be excellent, the room clean and quiet, and the service acceptable. Breakfast was a typical continental style. The pool looked beautiful and inviting though we did not swim. However others in my family stayed in a different room that was not updated and did not enjoy their stay as much.

Nice rooms. The bar was a lot of fun with karaoke we had a great time.

This is a beautiful place to stay with lovely decor in the rooms and the dining room. Staff are particularly helpful and courteous, and the food is excellent!

Unique Suites is a great place to stay. The rooms are very clean and comfortable with nice decor. The restaurant had pretty good food and the pool area was very nice. We were attending a softball tournament in the area and I'm glad we stayed here!

Nice clean rooms with a wonderful outdoor pool. Great breakfast bar with fresh fruit and all the fixings to start your day. Get off the highway and stay local.

I've never stayed here before. I'm glad we tried them during our visit. Very clean, great food and wonderful bar. Staff was very friendly. Would highly recommend to stay at if you're ever in Charleston, Illinois.

It is a quiet place to rest on work trips.

Has $45 a night rooms & more expensive, recently renovated rooms. We're working in the area, away from home so me and a co-worker are splitting a budget room. Not bad at all! Fridge & microwave in the room. Free Continental breakfast is just as good as the $75-100 a night hotels. Has a bar and also a restaurant attached to the hotel as well. Outdoor pool. The general manager is a real nice gentleman who was willing to show us the rooms & really work with us! I'm a construction worker so I don't need too much. Just a quiet place with a comfortable bed and warm shower. You can get all of that here for less $ than anybody else in the area.

Room was perfect, appears brand new, service was friendly. Within walking distance to EIU.

I recently had my wedding here and it turned out fabulously. The ballroom was beautiful and clean as were the bathrooms too. The food from the Brick House Grill was AMAZING! (Shout out to their Sunday brunch buffet… yum! ) And the staff was friendly and very helpful. Overall, myself and my guests had a wonderful experience here. I fully recommend Unique Suites Hotel for any function.

Clean excellent staff affordable with a very cheque bar. Excellent food with great beer and wine selection.

Rooms had outdated appliances along with the hair dryer not working. The service was good and the hotel rooms were clean.

Clean and inexpensive, commodities what you would expect for the price. The attached restaurant served subpar food for the price, or at least the steak — — both streaks ordered by my party were undercooked and unseasonably. The appetizers were tasty though. Other than that a mediocre experience.

They have done a great job taking an older hotel and updating it. The beds are great, the rooms are clean, and the staff is friendly. The complementary breakfast buffet is also pretty good. The internet speeds are reasonably fast. I also appreciated the semi secure parking area and that it was well lit.

I was traveling for business and happened across this amazing hotel, I travel a lot for work and usually can't wait to get back home but this time I wanted to stay an extra night just so I could spend a little time in the bar, it looks like something that you would see in the most VIP night clubs in downtown Chicago! I highly recommend this hotel!
