Well besides the fact it was very dated the bed was broken the floor was sticky… my truck was broken into… as well as 10 other vehicles… the cops tell me that this is a reoccurring event… they don’t have cameras up outside… and they have been informed by police to get them and still haven’t… I was traveling and it’s so fun to travel 9 hours without a window make sure you stay here if you want to waste your money and replace your vehicle windows!

Staff seems super nice. Even better pet friendly.

Refused a room to an elderly homeless person said they do not allow locals in their hotels and that they charged a 100 a night incidental fee. Discrimination — very very sad. The Hill top across the street is a nice place that did not turn their nose to this elderly woman. If someone is paying money for a room how are they allowed to discriminate? Don’t patronize a business that has zero concern for their community.

Nice place to stay. Rooms are bright and clean. Bathroom was a little small but I absolutely loved the shower. Perfect water pressure and temperature. Housekeeping was top notch. Will definitely stay again & recommend to anyone visiting the area.

The customer service at this location… I don't remember the gentleman's name but he had an exquisite beard and his customer service was absolutely amazing. Location had several minor maintenance issues like peeling paint or wallpaper in the hallways, and the pool and spot area could definitely use a cleaning and repainting. A food was good and fresh, the staff were friendly and professional, the majority of the property looked good. They even had pool toys for kids which was pretty awesome. We will definitely stay at this location again in the future.

My experience at this hotel was great! The staff were friendly and helpful. There is an indoor pool, outdoor pool, and a large hot tub, which is great. We had delicious room service which was very reasonable priced, with only a $2.50 delivery charge included. If I had any complaint, it's that the rooms don't have carpet which make them a little echoey. All in all, though, a fantastic hotel!

Upon arriving to our son‘s new apartment Sunday afternoon, Ameren Electricity informed us it would take two business days for the power to be turned on. The Holiday Inn Route 66 came highly recommended by Front Door STL Rental. Sam, one of the managers at the hotel, welcomed us with a smiling face and got us a room immediately. The room was large, clean and the beds were very comfortable. I would highly recommend this hotel.

This is an older hotel, but it has been updated and is clean and modern on the inside. Nice location with easy access to the highway and places to eat. Rooms were spacious with comfortable beds and nice linens. We didn't get to try out the outdoor pool because of rain, but the kids enjoyed the indoor pool.

Front desk clerk was very nice and knowledgeable. The rooms were clean and it was nice that there was a restaurant attached. They don't have a free breakfast but their food is very good. It is in a great location with plenty of parking for cars as well as big trucks. I was very pleased with my stay.

Decided to keep my niece company on the road while she went to an event in St Louis from Chicago. The ride was nice, yet longer than I expected. So my niece happily dropped me at the lobby of the Holiday Inn St Louis Route 66 just in time for her event. The ride was more tiring than I thought it would be, but when I walked into that room with the great big beds and pillows, I thought I was in heaven. The desk staff were wonderful and for a moment made me feel like I had come into their homes. If I told you I felt like I had stepped into an old Calgon commercial you would understand my age (LOL), so I'll suffice it to say that the stay was wonderful and I was disappointed that my niece was ready to come back to Chicago so early in the morning. But I did walk around while she was gone and everything looked so nice from the swimming pools to the conference rooms and Lobby area. If I ever go back to St Louis I know where I want to stay!

I generally love Holiday Inn, though this location doesn't impress me. The rooms are clean and staff seems nice, but the rooms are awkwardly set up. A small bench placed in the hallway lefy 5" of walkspace into the bedroom area. I have hurt myself in the extremely cramped bathroom 5 times and counting. You have to squeeze between the sink and toilet to shut the door. The shower has a sliding door that will jam your finger between the handle and stationary door if not very careful. There is no water pressure whatsoever. If you are over 5'6" you cab easily adjust the pressure from a trickle to a slightly more noticeable trickle. If not, like me, this proves much more difficult. The lack of functionality has disappointed me greatly and seems to be a serious injury waiting to happen.

Had a Nice clean room and very spacious! Beds were big but kinda hard! Nice Pool area! Nice Breakfast for our team and Family! And close but not to close to Six Flags!

The room was updated and the bathroom faucets are modern. Room tables had some spots that weren't clean. And coffee spills near the coffee machine. The pool on the other hand gets a big fat 0. Chemical levels were off, there's staining and scale build up along the tile. Needs to be repainted. And the spa! Whew, the handrails literally moved when you climbed in/out, missing a few jets sockets, the temp of the water seemed hotter than most Spas I've been in. Also needs to be completely cleaned. All in all I would stay here again, just hope the indoor pool gets some much needed attention!

Our 2 queen bed room on the 2nd floor was a bit small. The ice machine was broken on our floor for our entire 4 day stay. The indoor pool and spa we're nice for the kids. The pool is only about 4.5 feet deep. The spa is a nice size and could comfortably fit 8 adults. The breakfast is very nice. In addition to the buffet (which was definitely nicer than your average hotel breakfast), they have a small menu of made to order items with table service. It was a nice way to start the day. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful. The location is Central and easy to access major roads or shopping centers.

Courteous staff, delicious food in the restaurant (breakfast), and a room that made me feel like I was in a luxury hotel. They allow dogs which is a plus for only $35 a night extra, and they have an indoor/outdoor pool. The computers in the business center need to be updated; they have an old version of Windows that makes use difficult.

Pool was nice. The hot tub was hot. It felt very nice. The robe hook on the back of the door was hanging. The security latch was very loose. The house cleaning was very nice.

This Holiday Inn was just as nice as I would have expected the Holiday Inn chain of hotels to be. When you first walk in the hotel it is very nice, the decor very pretty, bright and clean. Front desk staff ready and willing to help. Check-in is always quick and always easy. They do hold a room deposit but other than that check-in was quick. The room was very spacious and modern The bed was comfy and very cozy but the mattress was a little more firm than I would have preferred but we slept well. This is a pet friendly hotel which was a plus for me on this particular visit. The location appears to be in a safe area there is plenty of shopping nearby and also lots of restaurants. So convenient to everything even gas stations. So over all… a good stay and if we are ever in the area again I would stay here.

Rooms seemed recently updated and all tile in the rooms. Hotel was easy to find but restaurant's valet parking was blocking front entrance.

Fire alarm went off at 5:45 am. False alarm. Now an hour later and the alarm has been repeatedly going off for a few blasts every 5 or so minutes. The initial alarm may not have been their fault, but they appear to be clueless about how to reset it.

Nice price. Bed and room was newly renovated, that bathroom was smaller than most hotels of a similar price range. Breakfast is not included.

Hotel staff is very pleasant. Large parking lot. Lots of options close by for food. Building is in need of repair. Room 102 had a super leaky shower head. Rooms themselves were spacious and well accommodated.

The location was great because my five year old and I had a late event Saturday night and another early one in Kirkwood the next morning. However, the bathroom was very tight and with the bath rug down we couldn't open and close the door because it got caught. The water never seemed to warm up, which was awful for bathing my small child. It wasn't great, either, when I took my own shower. There were no extra blankets in the room and what was on the bed was very light. Luckily, I had packed a spare fleece blanket for my child. Other than that, the staff was nice and friendly at check in. The room was nice and clean and the refrigerator and coffee maker were handy.

I went for a work thing. They we're great. We got served a wonderful lunch. Great food very nice rooms for presentations or work related meetings.

The hotel was easy to find last habitasiones well organized I the service excellent.

This is a nice enough hotel — rooms are clean. Layout is a bit weird — tiny bathroom, all sorts of bottlenecks in room, nowhere to walk. Maybe just too small. Floor is not carpeted — definitely bring slippers. Feels weird. I do have one big picky thing — the counter in the bathroom is so high I can barely wash my face. My 6 ft husband had trouble shaving. It comes up to my rib cage! He thought maybe it was built for NBA stars. Idk but it is odd. Also, very surprised that they do not offer a free breakfast. Really? I have been staying in a LOT of hotels lately, and always got breakfast. Seems like cheaping out. But it is quiet, good location and nice downstairs.

The location is very convenient. The rooms are well appointed and spacious. Each interaction with the staff has been pleasant. The elevators are very small which has been mildly difficult when other guests have luggage carts in the elevator. Overall, an excellent stay!

This place is considered as Pet Friendly, so the rooms have no carpet. This made seeing dust bunnies and hair from people or pets fairly easy. The rooms were smaller than ones we are used to seeing and we were told the needs were queen size but they were actually doubles. The fitted sheets did not fit properly; the elastic bands were approximately 2" above the bottom of the mattress and a couple small holes on one bed. The dorm fridge cabinet was in need of repair, as it had a hole and chipped wood particles. I didn't really do a full blown inspection since it was so late and no other rooms available but when I spend $139.95 plus 9.75% local tax and another 7.25% tourism tax, I expect better quality. What I got looked a few steps better then the road side signs saying "from $39.99" and there was no breakfast, nor even continental though they did give you the hours fir the restaurant in the other end. After driving all day we had limited options and the next closest Holiday Inn with rooms available was about another 100 miles down the road. This "Pet Friendly" hotel should concentrate more on being People Friendly. On a more positive note, the mattress was a pillow top and was actually comfortable but the base was squeaking every time I moved, which kept my very light sleeping spouse awake so she didn't rest well. I though for sure a hotel with this name in a major city like STL and Route 66 would have been in better condition just for the tourism and attractions.

I liked it a lot, very comforting. I felt very welcome and almost rich. I didn't particularly enjoy the beds too much but everything else was great.

The view from the room was nonexistent. Room was very dated but the in room amenities were fine. The place is very dog friendly but charges a nonrefundable deposit…

Attended a conference. Rooms were spacious and not crowded at all. Occasional distractions with staff in the back refilling food and beverages. PA system made it a little difficult to hear in the back corners of the room. Breakfast was unimpressive (we're adults, not toddlers. Please offer us at least bagel halves and not these tiny bite sized pieces. We really can handle it). Lunch was fantastic. Loved the snacks offered in between. Overall, good experience.

It was nice but when we checked into our room the bed was covered in ants so we had to get another room and we were told there was continental breakfast didn't know the first day because we weren't told where it was then when we did find out it was like a restaurant where you had to pay. Most hotels that have continental breakfast add it to the room charge. There is totally no smoking rooms which suck for us smokers. If you want a soda or anything you have to go to the desk and pay them A small soda is $2 and if you want a meal for the microwave there $7 and more. You don't have a microwave in the room so you have to do it all by the front desk. Also they charge your Credit Card when you get there for incidentals $50

The room was very clean, loved the hardwood floors. Hallways had a bit of a smell but other than that the property appeared well kept. The front desk staff was very friendly. I was expecting a complimentary breakfast and was dissapointed to find they charged $10.00 for a very sad pitiful buffet. Perhaps they had run out of food but it was only 8am and all they had was cereal, a small amount of fruit, a few mini muffins and some oatmeal. Not worth $10.00.

I booked this room because we had s surgery the next day and needed somewhere to sleep for awhile and we got the hospital rate and this place is amazing! So clean new comphy! We loved everything about just wish we coulda stayed longer! But we are going back in the future. It was so new with hardwood floors in room very comphy big beds, nice marble too sink and even. Kurug coffee machine! Very very impressed with this hotel. The check in lady was very nice and the lady before her that I called to make sure we could have a room and we were arriving late reserved a room for us last minute. Luv luv it! we stay in a lot of hotels and this one if the best truly was thank you!

Great room. No difficulties. Inside and outside pool. Plus a greenspace right next door to watch the 2017 solar eclipse! Would highly recommend!

Checked into my room to find pubic hair on the toilet, trash still in bathroom. Called front desk, stepped out so room could be cleaned. Came back to find juice spilled on furniture, still wet, and floor sticky. Had assumed they would have cleaned the entire room. Called front desk, asked for a different. Given new room, pulled back covers to find pubic hair again! Called front desk told sorry no other rooms and housekeeping gone for the day. Miserable stay after traveling all day. Very disappointing for a Holiday Inn.

I attended an event early in the day, before noon. It was very quiet, but both the clients and employees I encountered seemed quite pleasant. It was clean and tidy and smelled clean, not always the case. The needs of the clients in the conference room were met swiftly. I noticed the glassware had no water spots. Odd perhaps but indicative of the attention to detail. Overall a pleasant experience.

Have stayed at this location over two dozen times for work and a couple times for personal stays. The rooms are nicely updated and always clean. The staff is always kind and considerate. The bathrooms are small — more than one person gets crowded, but nice new showers and sinks. Depending on the weather, if you have a room interior to the building, the pool crowd can be noisy, but there are quiet hours that are observed and I've never had trouble going to sleep before the hours. There are a TON of great places to eat within a 5 minute drive, and lots of nearby stores for forgotten or last minute items. There's also a gas station in the adjoined parking lot, so it's not far to go for that late night snack or early fill-up to get back on the road. Nice place to stay on the outskirts of St Louis with a reasonable drive into the city.

Do not use the room, saw that everything was very clean and the employees were very funny.

Let me start by saying the staff was great, but the manager was very rude. The night supervisor DIANDRA was short with us and hung up on us when we tried to asked questions. We paid for a sweet for a set price and got paperwork for it. However our credit card was charged for two amount's, one for $951.12, and the other $430.88. When I asked the night super about it he called me a liar and hung up for a second time. I have stayed at hundreds of establishments and not one made a mistake this massive, or treated me so badly. I am very appalled with the customer care and this billing mistake from hell. I hope the GM and assistant manager take appropriate action.

Place looks a bit fancy. Two queen room had 2 full size beds with very little room to move around. Bathroom was very small. The 4 of us had very little room to move, and our bags made that space even smaller. Guest laundry is very expensive, $3 per load or for every 30 minutes. They do not have laundry soap on site either. Breakfast costs $10/person and is the same things you can get at a motel breakfast.

Highly recommend. Convenient… updated rooms, k-cups… best aromatherapy hallways… best front desk employees.

No breakfast, no fan in bathroom, empleyados are mean rude.

Totally unimpressed with customer service at front desk. Our beds were covered in dark hairs (did not report bc manager was still on duty and very rude from the moment we walked in). Maintenance was the only service that stood out to me. The person who came up for a maintenance request (very fast) was great. Pool/jacuzzi hours are too limited to use. Bed was not very comfortable and lots of road noise. Noise blocking would be useful. Hotels in New York do this, so I know it's possible. Decor is nice, and rooms have a small fridge (didn't work, hence maintenance) and a keurig. Edit: a week and a half later I'm upgrading from 2 to 4 stars bc the hotel manager called to apologise for staff behaviour and refunded the cost of the stay. I'm impressed with his willingness to rectify the issue.

Poor service. Terrible attitude at the front desk. My company and I will not be spending our money at this location again, and I suggest anyone who appreciate being treated like a valued customer or a human being does not, either.

Upon arrival, we were greeted immediately with incredibly friendly staff. We had no issues throughout our stay, and everything was clean and in order. Pricing was reasonable. We would definitely stay again if we're in the area!

I had a very bad experience at this hotel. They charged the credit card used for the incidentals instead of the one designated for the room. They didn't even call to inform me of their mistake. I found out when I was trying to compete my company expense report. They say they will give gold members and above the bonus points for their stay. I finally had to call the corporate office to have them add those as well. When I called to voice my concerns and find out what went wrong I was treated like an inconvenience. Unfortunatly the problems and hoops I now have to jump through for my company ensure that I will never stay at this hotel again.

The hotel is on a very busy road and you have to be prepared to make the turn in before entering onto the adjoining onramp. The hotel is very clean and up to date. The wood floors in the room are beautiful. My only complaint about our room specifically is our view is the roof.

There were no pros whatsoever! Unless you enjoy pubic hair, extremely dirty floors and rude service! I counted at least 6 short, curly hairs when I checked the bedding. When they brought clean sheets and changed the bedding… there was hair on those sheets! I was told those were the last set of sheets! We had just finished driving 10 hours! My socks were BLACK from the filthy dirty floors and the room stunk! The manager kept me waiting for at least 15 min when I tried to complain I finally left! Oh and apparently when you ask for a name of the rude worker you are forced to deal with they say "Alicia". I found out later there is no one there with the name Alicia!

Pros: nice rooms, indoor pool, fitness room, convenient location, friendly staff. Cons: Broken elivator, broken ice machines, broken vending machines, no microwave ovens (this is not cool if you are staying for more than a couple of days). The Wi-Fi never worked during the 2 weeks I stayed there.

The room was nice, but the noise and smoke from other guests kind of ruined it for me. Also, the Wi-Fi NEVER worked! This is a serious con for me. The staff was very friendly and courteous so that was a pro.

The room is clean, AC work good and it second time were here, breakfast is free and Wi-Fi work good.

The rooms were very bland. The housekeeping lady ALMOST walked in on us with the DnD on the door, the fact that the breakfast isn't free, the Wi-Fi didn't work, and there was dirt in the pool. Also they will charge your card with a 25 dollar deposit even if the room was for a free rewards night, and when I asked them why they do that they said it was for incidentals, I said ok because I figured they would give it back after the night was over. NOT! They said it could take 1-2 weeks for the money to be put back on the card, what a F***ing joke this place was, will not be staying here ever again.

This was suppose to be a charge for two rooms, two nights, a total of $237.00 for each room for both nights. (that's tax included). This is what I get, a total of $847.86! I have called three times, this morning the young man said not to worry the charges would fall off. Excuse me; 1) it's almost been one full week, why are they there? 2) Why were they charged to me in the first place? Do not say it's up to the bank to release funds. The bank hold the money as long as YOU tell them to hold, and again, why are they on there to start with, why for this many days? Brittney checked us in, she was very friendly and a pleasure to work with, did not like the other lady there correcting her in front of us for some very minor issues. The elevator acted up, Took us part way to 2nd floor, started jumping back and forth. I rang the emergency bell twice. The elevator dropped back to first floor.

I didn't stay. We used one of their meeting rooms for a work event. It was loud during our meeting with the doors shut due to another event. They were nice about it and we decided to give them another shot. To reward us for that they tripled the price. Very disappointing service and I have since learned they do this to lots of people. Great first time rate and then beat you over the head with a huge price the next time. We won't be returning.

Disappointed is the best way to describe after leaving the morning. I think the entire hotel is under renovation, seemingly all at the same time. I can understand renovations going on, but leave some things out for the people. Other than the pool, which was indoor, cold, and the pool room itself was cold, probably 63-65 degrees, and a small fridge, which ironically, was not cold, no amenities to speak of. Breakfast? Not here, at least not free. $10 per person at the café. No thank you, we went to Denny's. No ice machine on our floor, or even our wing, nor a snack machine. And one more serious question. Hard wood floors in the rooms? Seriously? Whose idea was that? The hotel maid's association? I don't mind tile here and there, bathroom, pool, etc, but not a cold wood floor getting out of bed in the morning.

I have stayed here twice for business trips to the St. Louis area. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the breakfast in the cafe is fantastic. This hotel was very convenient to the places I needed to be in the city and it was easy to access nearby highways. They were doing some work on the hotel when I stayed there but the noise stopped by the evening and didn't start again until later in the morning. The only issue I had was that the first time I stayed there, the room I had smelled quite a bit like smoke. However, I asked the front desk to switch rooms and they were very accommodating.
