This was my 12th year at Paradise, and probably 15th stay, always an oceanfront suite. The updates to the lobby were nice. Very fresh and colorful. That being said, put some money into the rest of the hotel. The elevators feel and sound like they're just going to plummet any minute. The hallway on the 8th floor looks like something out of a low budget horror film dark, dingy, dirty. Stained OLD carpeting and broken ceiling tiles. The balcony door lock in Room 803 is STILL broken since my last stay, same room, June 2020. Yes there's a bar. But a bar can be easily pushed up by my toddler. The staff was super friendly, but not nearly as helpful. All 4 days, I went into the housekeeping cart myself for garbage bags and towels. I asked several times and no one came by. Last year, I know policies changed with covid. I left out the dirty towels and a bag of clean ones were left on the door. Not this year. And, on arrival the room was cleaned, but certainly not mopped. I love that the rooms arent carpeted, but they need to be mopped and swept. Over the last decade Ive recommended this place a hundred times. I'm going to have to think twice about doing it again. OCMD is an annual favorite, and Paradise has always been a part of it. I hope our next stay is better or I'll have to change 😕

We love staying here. Quiet rooms, very friendly staff, if u stay here more than once they give u good deals. We get great prices and we can bring our dogs.

This place is not paradise. Let me start off by saying the only plus to this place is that its pet friendly and has pretty views. When we arrived there were literally wads of hair on the walls surrounding the tub. When we addressed the issue to the front desk they instructed us to find our housekeeping person for our floor. She gave us a bottle of cleaner for us to clean it ourselves. Soda machine was leaking water all over the floor, many junky areas left exposed, just run down and out of date. Balconies have lights that stay on all night that cannot be turned off. No dishes in the room, headboard fell off the wall while my mom was sleeping in her bed, mattress covers were not washed… just a horrible experience. Hopefully things get better soon. Also, the pool is in the parking lot.

Beachfront balcony, spacious room with kitchenette! Cable selection sucks and the outdoor pool in in the parking lot in the back, but the balcony and decent, spacious room complete with couch and meeting table, tub/shower, iron and ironing board make it comfy cozy and cool. Nice faux giant marble tile floors area nice touch!

DISGUSTING ROOMS! Left and booked somewhere else. Do not recommend. Manager refused to give money back when the rooms look this awful.

Gross gross gross! Bugs, fevers, blood and urine stains on pillows and bed, toilets and walls visible dirty, toilet paper on walls. Half filled party cups in hallways. Floors stunk of weed and alcohol. Staff not even surprised about the condition of the rooms.

Stayed here a few years ago. Best hotel on the boardwalk. Stayed at others and they can not compare to the Paradise plaza inn.

Another amazing stay at Paradise Plaza. 4th year in a row and as always hate to leave. Wonderful helpful staff. Clean rooms. Great view, planning on making reservations for next year. Definitely a 5 star ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. Place to stay.

Very dog friendly! Older hotel like all the other hotels directly on the boardwalk, but our room was clean and housekeeping was prompt and thorough. Comfy bed too and we enjoyed people watching from our balcony overlooking the boardwalk. We’ll be back next September with the pup!

Guest Services were very helpful with getting us a room that was nice and affordable. We didn't make reservations, we just walked in. Our room was very nice and ther ac worked wonderfully. One bed was soft, the other firm. Only disappointment was the Tap House in house restaurant was closed due to a private party. We will definitely be coming back to this establishment the next time we're here. The room was also nice and clean.

We’ve been returning to paradise plaza for several years now. Location is great being on the boardwalk and the ocean both. Rooms are clean, maids are friendly and accommodating and the front desk is helpful and accommodating as well. This is not a fancy stuffy 5 star resort if that’s what you’re looking for. It meets our needs well as a friendly, clean and economical little beach get away. We now enjoy discounts as returning customers. No complaints here!

Ended up staying an extra day! Perfectly located on the boardwalk. Open the door to the room and all you see is ocean. Relaxing and perfect in the off-season. Furnishings could use updating. Friendly staff. Pet friendly!

They were outstanding when we stayed! the rooms were ALWAYS kept clean as well. This is the only place we stay when we go on vacation to the beach in Ocean City.

Located right on the boardwalk, close to everything. Prices vary by season/week, and are competitive. Different types of rooms, some are very nice, large with 2 balconies. Clean, Good amenities. Bar/restaurant inside property.

I have stayed here for the last 6 years. They r the most reasonable hotel I have found on this area of the boardwalk. They front desk is always friendly. I did arrive much earlier than normal check on time, but in knowing that. I would expect my room to be ready on time, if not earlier. It was close to 5 PM. The rooms/housekeeping was unacceptable this visit. Very sub par service, including garbage behind the tables that didnt belong to us. We generally enjoy our stay here. But hope that situation is resolved for next year.

Just spent a week in the summer here, brought the dog and the family. Rooms are large and spacious with a small kitchen area. I had a room with a double balcony that you could see the bay and the ocean from. Love that it is pet friendly so I didn't have to bored the dog, just wish the had an area designated nearby by to walk him. Staff was extremely good and friendly and willing to help out in any way they could.

Great hotel and very convenient to everything. Being right on the boardwalk was very nice. The oceanfront room was very nice with balcony. I was very happy to get an oceanfront room since we brought our dog on vacation. Not many hotels offer oceanfront rooms if you have a pet. The hotel provided a gift bag with treats for our dog which was very nice. There was access to a restaurant and a souvenir shop from the lobby. Anytime we needed something the staff was so kind and helpful. The amenities were great too. We received a voucher for the restaurant in the hotel for each day we stayed. Also, booking through the hotel we got to choose four reward vouchers to places of our choice. The pool was very nice. Even though the pool was only 4 ft. My Grandson loved it. I would recommend this hotel very highly.

We are here right now. I have two kids, we reserved today for 1 night.
Not cheap, so you have certain expectations for the price you pay. Room 813, air conditioning in our hallway and room was NOT working. The room temperature is 81 degrees inside, this is no appropiate temp to sleep. We called front desk and first they stated they would send someone, then called back and said there was no one to send. Then we had to call back as 10 minutes went by and nothing hapenned. We were called and then finally a super rude guy showed up at the door and a fan. The FAN WAS BEYOND FILTHY, balls of and dust all over. I have 2 kids so before we could even think of using the fan, I had to clean it as much as I could.
This was our first and def our last time at this place. If there was 0 stars, I would def give that to the hotel.

Stayed for a full week with my family and enjoyed ourselves. Hotel is definitely aged, but most non-franchises are in OCMD. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The hotel could use more elevators and air condition in the common areas. The dolphin suite was really comfortable. Room was always well maintained and clean. The hotel should advertise the lack of utensils and plates though in their suite. We’ve stayed at other suite with kitchenettes that were fully stocked. At a minimum utensils would have been handy for us.
Otherwise fantastic place, convenient location. Hope to be back there next year.

Based on past experiences of staying in an ocean front hotel, this one deserves 5 stars! We were pleasantly surprised with our room with a balcony and the free parking, and they give you a coupon for $10 off the restaurant that’s inside the building, accessed by the elevator. The views are great, the service is nice. The balcony door is soundproof and you cannot hear the waves. You can hear people screaming from the boardwalk, but during the night it’s quiet. We did not have a bad experience like some of the others who reviewed this place. The building needs renovations, but like I said, this was better than the ocean front hotel we stayed at before! I would definitely recommend this hotel.

We booked this place through a 3rd party service, with a exception of your room being chosen for us when we got there, the staff was very polite and where kind enough to give us a beautiful room with a balcony facing the ocean front, the rooms are very clean and pleasant, oh and we got 10 dollars of our restaurant bill for every day we stayed with them, the restaurant is located within the hotel which is accessible by the hotel elevator, enjoyed this place a lot, will definitely come back.

Restaurant was poor quality, bathroom had mold growing on shower curtain and wall, knob was broken off sink cabinet, fridge wasn't working but I was able to fix it by thawing it out with a hairdryer. There were stains on the hallway carpet and the room balcony door only had a security bar which was faulty because if you closed the door all the way the bar would disengage. However, the front desk staff was friendly and greeted me each and every time I passed by which was nice.

Dirty! Very old, bad breakfast! They didn’t tell me about pet price and they charge for kitty baby to 20 $ per night, there is also tap house Grill, unbelievable restaurant, breakfast lunch dinner everything is disgusting how they are doing business by the water! I dont want to give them any star but I have to give 1 star even this to much! I paid 500$ Per 2 night it was really bad.

Great room in a great location of a bit worn from so many other great gifts. The kitchen was nice and easy to use. The jacuzzi tub was blissful. Having a balcony to the beach and to Streetside allowed great enjoyment of watching people. My one issue was that the aroma of the pool was extremely strong and almost gave in headaches. Be sure you check out before you check in.

I have worked at resort hotels (Virginia Beach) for over 10 years. I've seen the good, the bad, the ugly, and everything in between. Paradise Plaza earned 5 stars without question. The staff was very friendly. Check in/out experiences were efficient. Room was clean and exceeded our expectations. Perfect location right above the Alaska Stand. (best burgers on the boardwalk) Parking was easily accessible from the street, and very close to the entrance. I booked a low rate through the Hotels Tonight app and was still given an oceanfront room without even having to ask. I've been coming to Ocean City for decades and have stayed at many of the boardwalk hotels. This was my first stay at Paradise Plaza and I am very impressed. They are one of many establishments that keep OC great year after year.

Pretty nice place. A little old so some things are a little janky but overall nice experience and worth the money. Great view of the beach from a balcony on the boardwalk. Would definitely recommend.

Great beach front hotel. Extra points for allowing our four legged babies to come with us. Bar/ restaurant on site is wonderful.

Staff were not rude but were not friendly. Hotel accommodated our needs but I wouldn't stay there again. Room was ok but bathroom had not been cleaned well which is gross and dangerous if previous guest had germs. Linen was visibly not cleaned well either. Again gross! We were careful and jus happy when it was time to check out.

Clean rooms, wonderful location on the Boardwalk, friendly staff. Close to all attractions. Had a great experience.

Arrived at room room smelled terrible when open fridge. Went to go to balcony slider door broken had to pull up on door and push. My daughter wanted to get into the hot tub in bathroom boy what a surprise water all over floor. When turn on TV remote broken. Great view of ocean. Will not stay again.

The rooms were nice, clean and good value. We enjoyed our stay very much. We received coupons for the Taphouse where we ate breakfast each morning. The food was good as well as the service.

It's hard for me to give a fair review on my stay. The area suffered a blizzard & Ocean City was under a foot & a half of snow. Making our room on the 8th floor very cold, because it's designed for summer travelers. With 2 beautiful decks. Tile flooring in the bedroom area where the Jacuzzi is located. Which I normally like, but not on this occasion. The hotel did the best they could. The decks were cleared of snow. There was a small heater plugged in when we entered the room in addition to the regular heating system. Which we cranked up to get the room warm enough to enjoy the Jacuzzi. It took the water awhile to heat up since we were on the top floor. But when it did it was fantastic. I was disappointed we couldn't sit out on the decks even with coats. Due to high wind and — 9 freezing temps. I would return to visit again, but only during warmer weather.

Great location and amenities, but odd configuration and kind of run down… And well, understand that is literally on the boardwalk, steps from the beach and bars.

We have been coming here each October for the past 8 years. The hotel is right on the boardwalk overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. The boardwalk is about 3 miles long. Ocean City has many events here to continue to boost the OC resort economy. The rooms are spacious and clean and reasonably priced during off season. My wife and I look forward to this trip each year.

Good place for people with pets but restaurant/bar was closed for 3 days with no reason and hotel staff kept saying they did not know why. It is listed as an amenity on their website. The hotel staff said it was not part of them. Seemed very off.

Ignore all the negative posts, this hotel was awesome. Perfect location, the stores underneath went straight to the boardwalk. The staff was so nice, we had a friend stop in and stay with us as they passed through OC & they allowed him to stay 3 nights with no extra costs, and added an extra parking pass. The view in the ocean front rooms were incredible. There is a limited amount of parking which was a minor downfall but no big deal. People said it was outdated but the only thing I noticed was an older microwave. Overall 10/10 I would definilty recommend this hotel & stay again.

For the price I thought it was an amazing deal. It may not be the newest place but it's well kept together. The people at the front desk are also very friendly.

Usually it's a 5 star stay but the water leak on the 6th floor made the walls moldy and the smell was off the wall. They did have a fan in the hallway but it didn't help the smell. At least they tried. Location is fabulous. The view is spectacular The perks are worth it $10 a night to use at their restaurant plus their discounts and specials. Still recommend.

My family recently stayed here for our family vacation. My husband and I were celebrating our 10 year wedding anniversary. The Paradise Plaza Inn was a very nice place to stay. We had an oceanfront room with a jacuzzi tub. The floors in the room were all tile which was nice. The beds were queen size and comfortable. Overall it was a big enough room for four of us and pretty clean. The cleaning service did come daily, however, we did have to ask them to come one of the days because no one was there and it was after 2:30 until anyone came. We did receive a very nice gift bag when we checked in with coupons and $10 vouchers for the Tap House for every day we stayed. The location and shops located at the hotel were great! Everything was wonderful and the staff at the hotel was very friendly. My daughters really enjoyed the pool area also. We will definitely be back here again. We were looking for a nicer hotel to stay at while we come down here, and this is definitely it for us. Thank you Paradise Plaza for making our anniversary trip/family vacation a great one! See you next year!

Wouldn't stay here again. Pretty run down hotel with good staff but the location isn't the best. Nice ocean view with small balconies and an tiny outdoor pool in the parking lot. Three nights will cost you around a thousand dollars for a ocean view but I'm guessing you could find better. Lots of damage to the room, lobby is very small and no AC in the hallways. Head north of 10th Street to find better accommodations. On the plus side the staff was friendly and helpful.

This is a great place for the price. The staff are courteous and accommodating to requests. The hotel could use some cosmetic touch ups, but I can guarantee you will be hard pressed to find a hotel at this price especially for a larger group at these prices on the boardwalk with a pool and close proximity to so many restaurants and attractions! Housekeeping staff are so friendly! Give it a try, who stays in the room the whole time anyway:) it's the beach!

This was our first time staying at the Paradise Plaza Inn. We will stay here again. The location is awesome. It is right on the Boardwalk, and beach, and close to everything. There are even several stores right in the hotel. We had a semi-Oceanview room, on the fourth floor. We enjoyed sitting on the porch and taking in the salt air, while watching the sand and surf. The hotel staff is super friendly. The staff was beyond helpful, accommodating and friendly. The Queen beds were comfortable and super clean. Room service keeps everything fresh, clean and fun; as they turn your towels into animals! The rooms are surprisingly spacious and felt new.

I think I've found my new favorite off season getaway. The location is great, the view from the ocean front room is way above my expectations, the room is quite large, and the staff is very friendly. Even with a pet friendly room there is no odor or evidence of previous pets. With a small kitchen area, a large bathroom, sofa, table and chairs plus 2 queen beds there is more than enough space for three women and a dog.

We stayed in the white marlin room. Comfy bed, jacuzzi bath and an extra party roof. Received food vouchers for each day we stayed here to use at the Taphouse that has great food. Housekeeping was polite and on point! Great location too!

Pricing was good, stayed over night and enjoyed the room they gave me. Plenty of space which eased for unpacking.

Decent hotel on the boardwalk at the beach. Rooms were very big. And the outside deck/patio was also huge. The entire hotel could use a makeover but again, it's an OC Maryland boardwalk hotel. But for room size and location, it's hard to beat.

Great hotel, staff and location. Had a little trouble with the toilet but maintenance fixed it very quickly. Would come again.

I book my reservation but had a medical issue to attend to. After speaking to Kathleen and the okay from her manager Gigi, I was delighted. Their customer service was very great and supportive.

We used the hotel as a place to stay for our golf weekend. Rooms were ok but the location is great. Dave at the Taproom is great.

Very nice size rooms, ocean view I will come back, didn't get to try the on site restaurant,, but front desk clerks are wonderful everything you asked for they made sure you got it,, Great spot.

I enjoyed the proximity to the beach. They did mess up our reservations but it was something we were able to work with. It was disappointing being on the same floor as a sorority party when the hotel knew we were staying there for a wedding the next morning. The staff was nice, especially maintenance and housekeeping.

Our second time here and they treated us like royalty. They set up rose petals and kissing swan towelsas well as a bottle of champagne for our Halloweeniversary. We plan on coming back for years to come.

Our family reserved 8 rooms on one floor in january or february and they gave our rooms away. We have a new cousin and most of us are on the same floor but others are not. We always book 8 rooms to keep family together but this place just is in it for the money. Some of the staff were stuck up and there were several mix ups with our room and other problems. The conclusion is we won't be back and they lost 8 room customers.

This place is. Great, staff was the nicest people. Had a leaky frige brought a new one within 30 mins! Get a oceanview room u won't be disappointed but watch out for candy kitchen sign.

The rooms are very clean, the people are very nice, but the parking sucks. Don't have enough spaces. Other then that nice hotel.

Booked for the weekend at the end of July and can't complain. The room was spacious and very clean. The staff was very nice and welcoming as well. Would definitely go back again!

The room was very clean, loved our balcony with a ocean front view. It was very nice and quiet, easy access to the boardwalk. We were able to get our room way earlier than expected (considering check in were at 4pm). I can't think of one bad thing to say about it. For the price, it was very worth it.

Love Love Love the Paradise. Been going there for about 9 years now several times a year and I must say we never had a bad experience. Sure, things go wrong and break, but this Hotel takes care of you right away. The entire Staff at the Paradise go above and beyond to make your stay a pleasant one, they want you back. Great location, just right size pool and clean, can't wait to go back this year again. Thank you Tim, Gigi, Jenny, Denise, Kimmie, Lana, Will, John, Ralph, Housekeeping, Angie, and if I forgot anyone sorry, Miss you all and you all should be proud of how wonderful you are to all vacationers and that you are working as a Team to make all of us have a wonderful memorable vacation.

Great location right on the boardwalk. I would recommend getting an oceanfront room. The hotel room was clean.

We stayed there this past week and if given the opportunity stay at the Paradise Plaza Inn again in the same room I would not, but might in one of the other rooms. Our room was well worn and dirty. There were holes in the wall, the drop ceiling sagging in many places, the furniture including the bed couldn't have been more uncomfortable. We found a used soap and woman's razor in the shower, stains on towels and the bedding. We ran out of toilet paper and a new roll was just placed on top of the roller, unwrapped. I haven't slept on a more uncomfortable bed, it sagged to the middle, and wiggled like an old 1970's waterbed. The kitchenette was so disgusting I didn't like keeping canned soda in it. The faucet on the sink leaked so bad you had to put a bath towel around it or it leaked on to the floor. But this wasn't what every room was like, so roll the dice. Our friends were staying in another room which was much cleaner, had a much more comfortable bed, and the view from their room was amazing (and they booked the same type of room). We could see in many other rooms as they were being cleaned and some appeared as run down as the one we got, others appeared as nice as the one our friends had. Our friends were embarrassed by the room. They recommended we join them for the week and would not have suggested a place with such a dump (they stayed last year and had a nicer room then as well). The location is great, can't complain about that.

My family and I stayed here this past weekend. We booked the Dolphin Suite in Feb. Or March for a 3 day weekend getaway. My cousin called the night before confirming our reservation and to make sure everything was a go. When we arrived we were happy to have an early check-in but we noticed that our room was NOT what we were expecting. She went down to the front desk explaining that our room was not what we booked and all they said was, sorry we gave your room to another family last night and we can give you as many roll away cots as needed without any additional charge. We decided to stay because we had this place booked since late winter and all we needed was to shower and sleep. Upon staying the dreadful 2 nights, we found ants in the bathrooms, the other bedroom w/ one double bed against a wall had no a/c and no black out curtain on the single door to the balcony. I can not believe or get over how there was NO hospitality at this place. They did not offer at least a free breakfast/lunch at their restaurant (The Taphouse) or even discounted the fee for the suite. We were not expecting a free night or weekend because we did choose to stay there but something would have been nice due to the fact they knew we were upset. At check out on Sunday, all they said to us was sorry about your stay. We will not be staying here ever again. Things to think about is that the Lobby entrance is in the road alley of 9th Street and the pool is in the parking lot.

Stayed during 4th of July 2013. The location was great, right by a beach restroom and beachside bars, not too long of a walk to the pier. Upon check-in, there was a mistake with my reservation, but it was cleared up and corrected by the next morning. We had an oceanfront Jacuzzi room, which was great but the grout around the tile could have been a little cleaner. The room was pretty nice with a few wear and tear issues. The pool is in the parking area, not beachfront and pretty small, didn't even use it. The only real complaints I have are that the air conditioning in the room was extremely loud and the elevators were VERY VERY slow, also the dryer that I used in the laundry area dried for about an hour and a half and clothes were not dry; use the one on the left if possible, but it was a great plus to have laundry right there. None of these items would deter me from staying there again but I am going to look for something with similar qualities and a more reasonable price. The maids were very friendly and accommodating. It was nice, but not luxurious.

From booking to the actual stay, it was seamless. I really. Shockingly. Mean it. They were so ridiculously accommodating with my pain the butt stay requests from the get-go. Then when we checked in, they just continually stayed pleasant. We stayed for 5 nights. Seldom have I been so happy with a shore hotel. I'm usually unpleasantly surprised. We plan to return every year and I've already referred a couple people. The food at the bar in the hotel is pretty stinkin' good too. ABSOLUTELY recommend. The ONLY problem. VERY little parking. Literally my only complaint. For how large they are and how good the hotel is, you'd think they figure out better parking arrangements. That's not nearly enough to outweigh all the good though.
