Do yourself a favor and save your hard earned money and book elsewhere. Don’t put yourself and family in this hotel it is horrible. Very old, extremely worn in need of major updating and it is way overpriced due to the neglect of the property. Smells horrible looks so dingy and unsafe. Beds are so uncomfortable, I’ve had a better nights rest on a blow up mattress! Shame on the owners for letting this property get to this condition and for overcharging people to stay in these rooms! Disgusting.

Yuck! MOLD EVERYWHERE! Make sure you ask if you’ll be getting a renovated/updated room or a nasty outdated room before you arrive. They are booked at the same, expensive price, but the rooms that haven’t been renovated yet are beyond disgusting! I’m honestly not sure how they haven’t been investigated and shut down yet. Last I checked, it’s not ok to knowingly put people in a room filled with black mold. The outside pool area smells like urine and most of the hotel needs a facelift ASAP. The hotel hallways leading to rooms are scary. The floors are so uneven, you have to be careful your luggage cart doesn’t fall over. The ceilings are oddly low in some places and there are wet spots from active leaks and stains everywhere. We left early and moved to the 17th St location. Don’t waste your time at this one. They need a structural engineer and health inspector to pay a visit ASAP. Even the old furniture was gross and the dresser drawers would not stay shut, which shows the floors are slanted pretty badly. Years of heavy water damage can weaken any structure. Be careful if you decide to stay here!

Had a great stay at Holiday Inn this week! Loved that the rooms had a kitchenette bc with little kids they always need something to eat! They had activities for my kids during the week, no room service daily unless requested due to covid but when we needed something it was taken care of asap! Staff was super friendly and helpful, easy check in and check out! The restaurant in the hotel has the best Italian food I have ever had and the service there was fantastic as well! Would definitely go back!

I cant say it's all bad just really dated. Dirty carpet, rusty doors needs a face lift. The price was a little high for the condition but I have to say the staff is really nice. Lots of kids this weekend and that's ok but when q0 and 12 year old boys start climbing up the outside of the balcony I have a problem with that. I reported it. Didn't want anyone hurt. Just $$$$.

Very well kept for an older building the woman out check was so very pleasant, clean rooms, no remote had to call to get it. Elevator old nit maintained, maintenance sticker is out of date it expired 10-24-2021. Utt oh!

I agree that this place is fantastic to go to it has a nice view of the beach and water. Rooms were really nice and big and roomy.

The view was amazing the rooms were huge and super clean I loved how they connected I love how it qas like a 1 room apartment it came equipped with all the necessities great hotel definitely 5 stars 10 out of 10 highly recommend.

We're here, right now! Thanksgiving Day and everything is beautifully decorated! problem free early check in, a delicious lasagna dinner at the hotel restaurant, a soak in the hot tub and, a gorgeous sunset! Top it off with a couple of drinks at the bar with some fellow football fanatics, well, that equals a pretty good day! We love this hotel! We've been here before and will come back again!

8/10 the only thing I didn’t like was the service between the gentlemen bar tender and lady bartender they talk too much! Your not getting a tip if u can’t properly serve. The food was excellent and drinks were great.

Location being right at the beach is perfect. This has been my family's favorite spot every year since 2015. There's a year that we visited 2x. Booked right now until 7/31/21 but disappointed. Request to have an upper floor accommodation was ignored. We're place in Rm 204 where we can not even enjoy the balcony covered with shrubs. No garden view as promised. For a family of 6 with young children a total disappointment. Those trees and shrubs covering the balcony is not good for us with asthma. I could have paid extra if we're told ahead of our vacation and my stay already fully paid. I exchange email with hotel staff prior to my arrival how I badly needed an upper room but none of these are disclosed. With this experience, not sure if my family would like to come back.

Very old building and outdated but lovely staff clean rooms and right on the beach! Tour of Italy not worth going to in the morning or for lunch. That crew is all brand new and you will pay for overpriced anything that isn’t made correctly. : (.

Everyone here is absolutely amazing! Very friendly! The rooms are beautiful and very comfortable. My only problem is that we have to go home since our vacation has come to an end. We will definitely be coming back here more often! Oh and the beach view is just stunning.

My wife and I just spent our honeymoon in ocean city this past week and stayed at this hotel. It was amazing. The staff was great. The pool and spa were great. Very clean hotel and the view from our room was great! We already said when we come back to ocean city we are staying at this Hotel! Love it!

My sister, niece with 3 kids, and I stayed for 4 nights last week. The hotel was great! Everything was clean and beds very comfy.
The only complaint I have is I left an Ipod attached to sleep. Headphones there and no one turned them in. My fault for leaving them but was hoping an honest person would find them. But I will go back to stay again. Just be more careful when packing to come home.

Its dated, but a great place to relax! Everything from a pool with a swim up to bar, close beach access and good parking. There is alot to do within a few blocks and the bus stop on both sides are rite in front of the hotel. The staff are friendly and overall a nice place to vacation. Been going there for the last 4 years and will go back.

Our stay was amazing! We arrived after a terrible experience at another hotel that shall remain nameless (Seabonay Motel), this hotel with its beautiful resort feel was a welcomed sight. Service was amazing and the accommodations were top notch. Excellent location and within walking distance to the beach and small shops, we are still enjoying our stay.

It's pretty expensive, but that's obvious for a oceanfront view. The hotel seems kind of old. The service is good. Location is amazing. It's good other than the age of the hotel.

READ BEFORE BOOKING … I booked a stay here for three nights, wanted to get away before the end of the summer. I had to pay in full at the time of booking which is common among hotels near beaches. But with the nature of my job (electric utility company), things pop up and I was called to work the weekend I have booked the hotel for (labor day weekend 2018). So I call them to cancel my reservation, under the impression that I would have to pay some type of cancellation fee. Well boy was I wrong. After speaking to a hotel member on the phone and eventually a manager. I was told that canceling would forfeit MY WHOLE PAYMENT. OVER $1000. Which I never heard of before. I've stayed at other Holiday Inns, and many hotels will IHC and never once have I heard of this. Their absurd reasoning was that at the time of my booking I clicked on a rate that required full payment at time of booking, and was non refundable at all. Had I known that I was going to get swindled like this I would of chose a different rate. So you're probably reading this saying "well he should of chose the rate that was refundable". Well look at the screen shots I attached to this review. Every rate is non-refundable here. So, as a warming if you book with this hotel and there is even a slim chance that you may need to cancel for what ever reason, I would advise strongly against it. Plenty of other hotels in the area have rates that are refundable, because they understand, unlike this hotel, that life happens.

GREAT LOCATION! We paid $325/night (with tax) for an indirect beach front room. Our room (324) didn’t have a full ocean view due to 1/2 of balcony in the middle was blocked by some trees. The room was across from the beach but in between, there were a pool, then tennis court, neighbor’s parking lot and some trees. I would recommend paying a little extra and get a direct oceanfront room. We were able to catch a sunrise from the balcony which was nice :). The room itself was quite old and a little damp. It was bizarre that it came with a fully equipped kitchen, (pot, pans, knives, chopping board, dishwasher, etc) full size fridge and a Keurig. It’s like a $325/ night apartment. We checked in at 2:40pm (early) and was able to get a room. There were 3 staff at the front desk and they were helpful. The night shift staff however, was rude and moody. We asked for a safe battery to be changed (because it’s dying) and a room card to be re-activated (because it stopped working twice! ) and she was giving us attitude. Mr. Handy man who quickly came over was real nice and friendly. Thank you, Sir! It was not the greatest experience but we didn’t hate our stay. Would consider going back when the time is right. (Will definitely do direct oceanfront next time! )

This place was the best! The rooms were clean, and very comfortable! The outdoor pool has a swim up bar though very family friendly. There is an area of hammocks to relax in the sand and the beach is a few hundred feet away. You never have to leave this place if you stay here. Staff was very friendly. I will definitely be back to this hotel!

Bed is comfortable. Room has great view of the ocean. Located right on the beach with a pool outside and a swim up bar. Pool inside as well with 2 hot tubs. I really like the hammocks on the beach! The air conditioning did not work well in our room. And the bar tender was barely out at the pool bar. Those are my only complaints. Otherwise great experience. I would definitely stay here again!

This property is a diamond in the rough. The location is perfect with a lot of restaurants and activities within walking distance. The beach access is well maintained. The front desk staff is very welcoming and friendly. The restaurant staff is friendly and efficient and the portions are generous, with reasonable family pricing. This property is advertised as a resort, which it fails to live up to. The over all appearance of this Holiday Inn is one of a businessman who i…s wrinkled from hours of travel. The entire property needs a fresh coat of paint, updated carpeting, and a complete freshening up. The pool deck surface is in need to repair and the old-timer bartenders at the swim-up pool bar were less than welcoming and friendly. Although they could make a great drink, they were grumpy and didn’t possess the vacation vibe. They were actually rude. Our room was clean, but the beds were old and so worn it was like laying down on a wooden bench. The Holiday Inns we are accustom to staying in have the most comfortable, plush bedding and my husband always remark how comfortable the mattresses and pillows are, but not here. The bathroom sinks drain slow and water fills up in the sink before you can finish washing your face. Bulbs are out in the elevator call buttons, the front right burner on the stove in our room wasn’t attached and appeared to be a fire hazard, the bathroom door was splintered at the bottom.

From the time we checked in to the time we checked out, nothing but a great experience. Rooms were clean, pool was clean, and the whole place was kept up. Tony and Tina at the front desk were very nice and helpful. We will definitely be going back next year! Big thumbs up from me.

This hotel has seen better days, but aside from some of it's aesthetic shortcomings, it's an overall good value because: 1. Its on the beach 2. Most of the rooms have a decent view 3. Outdoor pool, lounge and bar area are convenient and usually pretty lively 4. The restaurant downstairs is not bad and has a great staff (especially at the bar) 5. Hotel staff is also very accommodating Again, this place has been worn down by a constant stream of vacationers, but they make up for it with good service.

This is my new favorite hotel at Ocean City! There is so much here on site to enjoy. Beach front access with chairs and umbrellas that you can rent. The parking and entrance to the hotel is next to one of the beach accesses so we were able to leave our beach chairs and sand toys in our car everyday after leaving the beach which was so nice not to have to carry them and the sand up to our hotel room. Each balcony has a towel bar for hanging wet bathing suits. My room is very clean. It has a tv, DVD player and fireplace. The efficiency is excellent and even includes a dishwasher! The bed pillows are incredible and include both soft and firm pillows which are indicated by embroidery on each pillowcase. The front desk has free fresh bananas, apples and oranges and a treasure box for kids. There is also a free coffee and creamer machine and a filtered water bottle refill fountain. There is an awesome outdoor pool with swim up bar. There also is a poolside restaurant, hammocks and swinging hammock chairs that are surrounded by palm trees. The kids are going to play tennis later today and then walk across the street to Sweet Frog for frozen yogurt. I couldn’t be more happy with this place.

Loved the view, great service all of the amenities needed at your finger tips. Although we weren't able to properly enjoy the outside amenities we've decided to come back when it gets a little warmer to do so. We didn't turn on yge fore place but we'll do that too. I was happy when we received our Sunday newspaper because it has plenty of coupons in it that use. By the way there is a restaurant in the hotel that served great food and if you love bananas before a workout you get them for free.

If I could give it zero stars, I would. After a disastrous stay this past August (bugs in the bathroom, mold in the ceiling, a closed pool bar in a filthy swimming pool) we decided to give this property one more try. Never, ever, again. I am 6 months pregnant and have stayed at this property for many years. In fact, I put my family and friends up here when they came to visit me when I lived in OC. When we got to our first room, someone was smoking pot next door and the entire room smelled like it. We asked to move. They moved us to another room that had no air conditioning. Michelle, the manager said she was having some issues with the air conditioning in certain rooms but saw that I was pregnant and sent someone up with new room keys. We went to our 3rd room and when we got there, we lowered the thermostat, heard it "kick in" and went to dinner. When we returned, it was set on 66 but it was 85 degrees in the room. Michelle sent up someone from maintenance with 2 fans at 11pm. They were unable to fix the AC or move us. We couldn't even hear the TV over the fans. What Michelle didn't know is that I am an ex local and through my connections discovered that the hotel had had a repair company there earlier in the week that was unable to repair the AC – not only was not able to be repaired, but it would be well into the following week before any repairs could begin as there is a major pipe issue in this 40 year old hotel. I am furious that Michelle lied to us in my condition.

I've never been the one to write bad reviews but I have never experienced the worst customer service like I did at this hotel. My boyfriend and I arrived at the hotel at about 7:30 a. M. The front desk agent told us our room will not be available until 11 a. M. And we will receive a text message once the room is ready. We understood because we arrived early. Once 11:30 a. M. Arrived, we did not receive a message so we went back to the front desk and a new agent told us our room was still not ready. 12:30 pm the room was still not ready. 1:30 pm the room was still not ready. 2:30 pm the room was still not ready. Then finally 3 pm came and another new agent told us it was ready at 2:50 pm but we did not received a text message. We felt all the front desk agents did not show any compassion and lacked relatability to ask us how long we have been waiting. It's like they didn't care. We slept in our car for 7 hours waiting for this hotel to check us in. This will be the first and last time they will get a visit from us.

Went to this location for our anniversary. The front desk employee was wonderful! We received a free bottle of champagne for the occasion. We had a fantastic stay! The staff answered all of our questions about ocean city. The room was clean and accommodating. Overall we had a fantastic time.

Stood here for birthday weekend/engagement celebration on easter weekend. The staff were more than courteous. Left chocolates on our door. Were very professional. Well worth the trip from NY. Forgot a charger in the room, received a call about 3 hours later saying they found it! You dont see that everyday! Beautiful, clean facility with many amenities. Plus everything is a nice walk/short drive away. So whats not to love? Would be coming back and staying longer next time!

Did have ants in the bathroom. The fireplace was very nice. The view was very beautiful. Everyone loved their rooms. Fitness room was awesome… Had free weights and plenty of space. Beach access is wonderful. Definitely stay here again.

We stayed at this Holiday Inn last summer. It was pricey, but we did ask for direct oceanfront during the summer season. The location is great, the pool bar was also great (no one was behaving poorly) and the staff was pleasant and helpful. The restaurant was good (maybe breakfast ends too early for a resort) but we had no complaints. Our room was clean and it was serviced daily. I'm not sure about some of these complaints. We had a car battery that died the day after we arrived. In 10 minutes the front desk staff had someone come out and get us started. We will stay here again.

This was a great hotel to stay in. My boyfriend and I took a day trip to Ocean City Maryland. As we were driving back to Media Pa. My boyfriends back started to have pain. So we decided to look up on my smart phone for local hotels. I decided that the Holiday Inn was close by. I rented a room for the two of us with 2 double beds. We walked down the hall and opened the door. Never expecting to see such a beautiful room. The kitchen in the room was a great surprise. And the bathroom was so big and it had a nice shower. My boyfriend figured out how to change the setting on the shower head. He must of taken a half hour shower. The only flaw in the room was that the toilet rocked when you say on it. And I did see that they are doing some remolding of rooms on the first floor. Oh the snack room was a plus because I have a blood sugar issue and I didn't have any food with me so the vending machine that had the snacks in it was a life saver. My boyfriend and I want to come back again this time with our own food and luggage to stay a few days and just relax. Oh and everyone at the front desk was awesome.

Positive: — Location location location — The staff here is INCREDIBLY nice! I was so impressed with how professional and friendly they were. They even passed out small toys from a treasure chest to our child as we were checking in. — The view is great! Right on the ocean! Negative: — The hotel is very outdated, which in and of itself is not a negative, but our room smelled like mildew and the bath tub had a rust spot. — We were out of our room from 7:30am-6pm and no one ever came to clean our room. — The indoor pool, while having many different options, was not well maintained. The floor around the pool was mildewy and slippery. The floor inside the kiddie pool was falling apart and bits of concrete were in the bottom of the pool. Our stay was during the colder season. So perhaps my perception would have changed if I could keep the windows open and use the outdoor pool.

This is my third time here and I absolutely love it! This is the first time I have had the pleasure to bring my 12 year old. He is infatuated with the pool and the "humongous bed". I am so glad to see the renovations and remodels that have been done. Keep up the great work.

It is a beach hotel and with many years already… But the service is good, the room is clean and complete, the pool is very nice and has access to the beach in a very good area.

I come here for "mecations" during the off season, the whole atmosphere was relaxing, the staff was awesome, very friendly & helpful, I'm here now on a romantic getaway with my girlfriend, all I can say is everything is no less than perfect, fireplace in the room, front view of the ocean, we couldn't get no better than this, definitely booking 1 last time before the season start & to the staff, thanx for everything.

My wife and I made reservations for New Year's eve 2017. Ocean front room/suite. Checked in on Saturday the room was freezing cold it was 17 degrees outside. The glass slider was off the track and just laying against the other panel with about 4 inches wide open. We went to the hot tub I told the desk personnel about the slider and they fixed it. In the pool a kid crapped in the pool and the pool had to be closed (I realize this is not their fault). I went to our room and got in the shower, as I closed the shower curtain a dirty used wash cloth fell into the tub and another used wash cloth was laying on the tub ledge. I cam out of the shower and my wife was freaking out a bugs were climbing all around the kitchen area. We packed our bags and left. The place was filthy and disgusting.

What a great place to stay nice rooms good food and bar indoor pool. Excellent staff we stayed for New Years with 100 people. We all had a great time Thank you for you hospitality while we were waiting.

Hotel was just odd. It's an older style hotel that's been renovated a bunch. Odd hallways and low ceilings in some parts. Room was fairly clean although there was a random hair left on the toilet seat.

Attended a holiday party. The conference room was very roomy and pleasant. The bar staff was super friendly.

To be fair here the service and staff are very good and the bar is fun — and obviously the location is very good being beachfront. That said, for my taste the rooms and hallways are in need of updating and repairs. I stayed here many years ago when the property was newer and quite nice — but it really needs some renovations I feel to be at the standard of most other Holiday Inn properties I've stayed in — which I don't expect to be fancy but are usually not so dated. But on the positive side the rooms are very clean (and no peeling paint or major issues like that) and the efficiency feature in the rooms is nice, especially if you are staying longer. It was winter when I stayed and I got a fairly decent rate for a couple of nights on a girls weekend — so I was fine with the place overall, but I wouldn't vacation here. On another the positive note the lobby is nice and quite up to date — and all of the staff (including housekeeping) were extremely nice and friendly which I really appreciated. Also, we all really enjoyed the bar area and it was really hopping both nights, as was the restaurant — I think it may also be popular with locals but the hotel was also sold out the weekend we were there even though it was winter — probably bc it was Veteran's Day weekend. We ate dinner one night in the bar/restaurant and the food was quite good as was our waitress.

The main lobby is rather nice and the restaurant is of decent quality. I've had several morning meetings there and the breakfast provided is something to be desired. The "eggs" are a substance that while provides the appearance of eggs they seem to have forgotten the flavor. The sausage and fruit are ok. The meeting space is a little dated and oddly enough really close to the pool which adds to the moisture in the space.

Very nice hotel, very friendly staff. Amazing location. The layout of the back area/pool area is absolutely amazing. Rooms are clean, kitchen area is perfect. Cons — the hallway on the first floor smelled like a wet dog (but the room smelled absolutely fine), and the indoor pool's floor was just gross, it needed to be scrubbed really well, and the child's wading pool was "closed by the health department". I had a great experience all together!

Clearly an older hotel that has been updated. That said, it's been updated nicely. Lovely room with a chair and sofa that I actually want afraid to sit on. Very clean kitchenette. Decent sized bathroom. Nice ocean front balcony with patio furniture. DVD player in room is a nice touch. Apparently they offer free movie rentals. I didn't partake but nice amenity. Everything was nice and clean. I would definitely stay here again, no problem.

Stayed hear two summers in a row. Great experience both times. Love the property and all it has to offer. Front desk staff, as well as housekeeping (Angela, 8th floor), have been great. Will definitely be back. Side note: I ordered breakfast from the restaurant this morning. I was told they would call when it was ready. I waited about 20 minutes (they said it would be 20-25) and then decided to go downstairs. When I got down there it was already done and cold. No phone call.

Holiday Inn is a comfortable, clean, fun stay. The pool is nice, and splash pad is great for kids, albeit a little small. The landscaping around the pool needs to be removed in order to be able to walk around the entire pool. Right now, you have to leave the gated pool area to get to the other side of the pool. The restaurant in the lobby of the hotel is expensive, and lacks lunch options, but is good for dinner. The snack shack behind the pool is reasonably priced and great for lunch. The cocktails and frozen drinks served at the pool bar are delicious. Even the non alcoholic ones are a treat. We will stay again.

Very nice hotel. Great ocean front view. Close to every thing yet real relaxed environment. Would have given it 5 stars if outdoor pool was heated and they brought towels to the pool when the pool opened instead of 2 hours later. The small details is what separates the 4 and 5 star hotels.

Just left after a three day stay and can't believe some of these negative reviews. As a former owner of a cleaning service I can honestly say that our room was extremely clean and comfortable. The decor, while being standard hotel issue, may have been nondescript but not nearly old enough to be considered "outdated". As for the swim up bar at the outdoor pool, we saw absolutely no one acting intoxicated or spilling anything into the water. Rather, everyone we encountered there, and throughout the hotel were friendly and respectable people/families and the hotel was quiet around 11:00. Yes, the hallways were a little shabby and could use a little sprucing up but overall the accommodations and staff were above average for Ocean City. Would definitely stay there again.

We're having a great time! The facilities are top notch. The rooms are definitely in need of being brought into the 21st century, but they are functional. That's the only thing keeping it from being a 5-star rating though. I hear they're currently being renovated, so maybe I'll add another star on the next stay!

This hotel is very nice and comfortable. I was pleased with the staff and the accommodations. The location of the hotel was perfect for us! Plenty of parking. We had a direct ocean view room with a private balcony which was amazing! Words just can't describe! I would definitely stay at this hotel again whenever I come to OCMD. And I recommend it to everyone!

We loved this hotel! It is a Reasonable price for OC and it more than fit our needs. Our room had a Terrific view of the pool and ocean. It was clean despite some typical aging in the bathroom tiles and shower. No tub, which was difficult for us with a 5 year old full of sand but we worked it out since the shower had a seat in it. Angela was very friendly! The pool bar was a plus (with delicious drinks! ), the outside grill had a good selection of food (we loved the French fries), the hammocks and hammock chairs were amazingly relaxing! The indoor pool was terrific. The room was not hot like most and the air was cool. This was a huge plus for us! Most indoor pool rooms are too full of chemicals and hot to breathe. This was was very enjoyable. We didn't eat at the hotel restaurant, but overheard others talking about the generous portion sizes and that it was good food. There were different activities for kids each day. My daughter loved swimming with the mermaids. Free parking was great and never had trouble getting a spot! We will definitely be back. (Hopefully in August)

Hotel rooms are super stuffy. I think the air circulation is poor in our room. Woke up with headache sinuses flared. Family all had the same problems. Front desk staff is not very friendly, don't even make an attempt to say hi to guests as they walk through. The restaurant connected to the hotel has the worst service we have ever witnessed. Not even picky patrons. Out server brought each guest one water, never returned to refill. Food was below average. But. Hey you're at the beach, so I'll give you 3 stars.

This was our first stay at the Holiday Inn Oceanfront, but it probably won't be the last. We had a nice time and all of our needs were accommodated. We had a ground-floor room and had easy access to the beach, which is the main thing we were looking for. There were many good food options nearby, which was a nice discovery. Some aspects of the hotel and room were a bit overdue for maintenance, but the things that really mattered were handled well. And it was really nice to have a choice of two pools as well, when we didn't feel like going all the way to the beach. I'm sure we will be back another year!

Spent two nights here mid feb. Great rate for an Oceanview room with kitchenette. Room was spotlessly clean. All staff friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend.

This is our second time here as a family. And it's great. We have a lovely view from our room and plenty of room for the 5 of us. All of the amenities are wonderful and the staff has been so helpful. I am already planning another trip back here later in the year.

My girls and I stayed for the weekend to celebrate my birthday. We were very happy with the cleanliness and size of the room (2 full beds and pull out sofa). The best part of staying here was the ladies that work in the breakfast/lunch diner downstairs. They were so sweet and even sang me happy birthday, we would go back just to see them again! Great experience!

Amazing location with in-room conveniences second to none. Book online when possible as you can skirt the two-night minimum policy.

We stayed in an oceanfront (eastern) room on the 7th floor. The view of the ocean was perfect. Our room was clean and the beds we so comfortable. All of the staff were so friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend staying here. I will definitely be back!

Holiday inn ocean front is a descent hotel. I wouldn't say its luxurious or even imaculately clean but if you need a descent place to stay in Ocean City. It should do.

Not much, did not get room I reserved. Did not get any help from front desk. Room was old and dirty. They advertised beach fireworks and again not there. I was informed I could go to bay side and watch the fireworks there. This is why I took a chance again and picked this place, so I did not have to go out on News Year eve. Bed clothes were worn and dirty, had long hair on both bed sores and covers. Bath tub also had hairs in it. The toaster and oven did not work either. Went to desk and was told sorry hope your next stay is better (REALLY). So between Both holiday inns in OC you do not really get what you want unless your very lucky no matter how much you spend or plan.

The good reviews posted here must be from employees and their relatives. This hotel is a dump. I've traveled to developing countries around the world, and those countries have better, cleaner, and more presentable rooms. Came in last night and the bathroom has black molds on the bathroom tiles. The pain is chipping of with yellow stained mold. This hotel is disgusting do not waste your money coming here.

Terrific hotel. Great location on the beach. The sound of the ocean lulls you to sleep. Room spotless as usual. Front desk friendly and welcoming.

We were able to check in early (1pm) … the front desk was accommodating and very friendly. Don't let the dated hallways scare you. Our room was fabulous. We were first floor, ocean front with a private balcony that had open access directly to the beach. We had no idea there was a kitchenette which was a nice bonus. Beds were comfortable. Room was clean and well furnished/supplied. We had a few martinis (definitely try the espresso martini if you like coffee) at the bar and had a great time. It's a fun atmosphere with great bar staff and service. We ate dinner at the Italian restaurant. I had a margarita pizza which had hand-made mozzarella, a nice thin crust and baked in a wood fired oven. Delicious. We were "those people" that came in to eat 10 minutes before closing. Even so, our waitress was a gem. She took great care of us from beginning to end. We have heard many people rave about the pastries… so… on our list to try tomorrow… PASTRIES! Sidenote — we came for the car show and are having a wonderful time as "spectators" this weekend. Definitely give this hotel a try if you don't already have a favorite place to stay in OC.

My hunnymoon night was @ this hotel. My husband booked the room and I called in for a complimentary champagne. When we arriver the staff was very friendly, very clean. Hallways do look a little on the older side but rooms and everything else was amazing. Beach right there and land scape is very well taken care of. Pool is very clean and nicely taken care off. I am very pleased with this hotel and I am a very picky.

I had an amazing stay! The room was really clean and had an amazing view. The kitchenette was in working order, and the bathroom was really nice. The staff was very friendly and helpful. All of the extra amenities were a pleasant surprise. We loved the hammocks in the sun! 10/10.

Overall good place. Check in went smooth. The room was nice and clean. Staff was kind and helpful. The rest of the facilities amenities pool, gym, arcade and others where well kept. The restaurant incorporated into the hotel is based on Italian food and is very affordable and tastes very good. Only poor experience here was that of people who had a little to much to drink. I think that the hotel should implement some kind of intervention for people who are drunk.

Went for a quick get away. Room was very clean and view was nice. Maid service was great. Didn't like the restaurant that much not great for small children.

Stayed for valentine's day weekend. Loved our room. Ocean front view and our room had a fireplace. Very authentic italian restaurant in the lobby that includes a deli and bakery. Will stay again.

No HDMI on TVs? Was ready to plug in my Chromecast and saw no HDMI on the LG set! Sure, to most it's not a big deal but it's 2014. How do you have HDTVs with DVI as the highest connection? Other than that it's a decent room. Clean. Smells fine. Nice small kitchenette. But that darn no HDMI in their TVs really grinds my gears.

Best hotel ever!? Great service and beautoful view.

This place is a motel with a hotel facade. Renovations are poor with nothing is decent or clean in our room. Tiles were installed poorly, grout was either missing or disgusting, and caulk is used to cover mold (badly). The kitchenette was filthy and old with food stained dishes and old appliances. The cabinets had what appeared to be mold in them. There were butt stains on the stools, the dishes were dirty, the floor was filthy and greasy, and the air vent was black and had blackened the wall and ceiling around it. I couldn't tell if it was mold too, but it appeared that way. The ceiling was also only 6.5 ft high. There were belongings from the previous guests in the room, which means the cleaning people never checked anything. One pro — the staff was pleasant. This is a two-star hotel at best. By far this is the worst hotel room I’ve ever stayed in during my twenty years of business and family travel. If you have children, this place should be off limits. We knew immediately we just wasted our money and there was no way of getting it our money back. If we didn’t have plans, we would have gone home. This hotel is a brand-killer for me. If Holiday Inn is so loose with their standards that they allow this, I can’t take the chance of putting my family in the same situation somewhere else around the country.

When we first got there the women at the front desk had a attititude with my husband which mind you he is handicapped about checking in a few mins before 3:00 p. M. After we got to our room it was nice and clean the only problems we had were with the T. V and the air conditioner but they were handled right away by the maintence supervisor Jeff he even brought a fan to our room as well. The food wasnt bad either. The pool was right outside our room as well as the beach so that was really nice and the boardwalk was only like a 10 min drive from the hotel. The overall staff was really nice our room was nice and clean every day and whenever we asked for something it was taken care of right away. I would proably stay there again if I had to and would recommend it to other people.

Horrible! Read the reviews before booking and I am not sure how people can have such a different experience. Front desk, manager and even General Manager were unwilling to listen without talking nor where they at all willing to help my family out. The room. Let's just say that it looked no where near as neat and clean as the pictures. The floor was damp and sticky, the furniture was loaded with dust and the walls in the room and bathroom had stains running down them. The small refrigerator in the room stunk and looked to of never been wiped down. We paid a decent amount of money to stay here and expected both cleanliness and pleasant customer service. We were wrong! We asked to transfer our reservation to another Holiday Inn a few streets away and there reply was NO, we can't do that. We can cancel your reservation WIHOUT A REFUND OF ANY KIND and call it a day. With two small children I had to stick it out for one night. In the middle of the night, I cancelled the rest of our stay and left first thing in the morning. Very disappointed and would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
