My family had a great time. I highly recommend!

We love staying at the Carousel. We first booked here because of all the amenities (especially the indoor pool & hot tub). We have had all great experiences here. Everyone has been friendly & we like the location. Our last visit we forgot some things when we left & called once we realized it & they immediately shipped everything to us. We can’t wait to go back!

Do not stay here… read in its entirety. This hotel has great amenities. The food is delicious, drinks are great and all service staff is wonderful. The yard is gorgeous with the palm trees, fire pits and corn hole. Anything positive stops there. Our condo is absolutely DISGUSTING! It is completely filthy. You cannot walk on the stain filled carpet without your feet turning black. The dishes that are there (many missing) are dirty and caked with dry food, the master bed had BLOOD on the comforter and sheets, there was one old broom with no dustpan, the fridge is disgusting, rust all over it, carpet is ripped in the second bedroom, beds are awful, dressers are old and smell and are broken, master bath shower door is broken and shower floor disgusting, obvious spray paint painted over where mold must have been, popcorn found EVERYWHERE, jolly rancher wrappers stuck to one of our kids when they laid on the floor, stains all over the living room pillows, stains all over the couch to the point that you can’t even sit on it without fear of getting some sort of disease, no baseboard anywhere, walls are absolutely filthy with stuff splattered everywhere, even on the bathroom door, hooks are broken or falling off the wall, front door is broken and blows open with the wind and ac return, screen door was off in the living room, I really could go on and on! We are in the home repair business and this place is worse than center city drug homes. It’s awful.

Overall I would recommend the Carousel for families. There is a lot to do for children and my kids had a great time. We did have some issues. The pools really could be clearer. The cloudiness of the pools was a bit gross and they should probably make an attempt to fix that. Our condo was acceptable. The cleaning crew could pay more attention to detail but overall was pretty clean. We had an issue with our tubs not draining efficiently and had maintenance up 4 times to try to fix it. It was never 100% fixed but was much better by Thursday and the maintenance crew was pleasant. They said the drains get full of sand and hair by the end of summer. If it’s a known issues then it should be able to be prevented though. For what I had to pay, I feel like some kind of discount would have been appropriate for requesting a problem to be fixed multiple times and it taking pretty much the entire vacation and multiple requests to have it happen. I’ve had worse issues at other condominiums in the area though. We were in 1206 toward the center of the building and the sound of the fans on the top of the atrium were a bit loud too. If I were to go back I would look for a condo more toward the ends of the building. Even with the issues it is overall a great place for families with young children.

Great family vacation. Staff was amazing. Jami at the outdoor restaurant is so sweet and so attentive. Bartenders are really on their game. Housekeeping did a great job with the rooms. The rooms are old, but always felt clean. The food was so incredibly good. We barely left the resort.

What the carousel hotel and resort has going for it is the beautiful location on the beach! You can walk right from any of the rooms over into the beach enjoy the sun and the surf all day long! Unfortunately the hotel desperately needs a renovation of its rooms! My room was close to the beach on the ground level, they made an attempt at updating the vanity in the bathroom and where the microwave and sink were out in the regular part of the room but that was about the extent of it… my room was a non-smoking room and it stunk as if I was in a bar! The AC in a 1985 automobile works better than what I had in my room! I complained every day to the front desk, which the hotel staff was really really nice and pleasant, but nonetheless they promised that the AC will get colder each day, and it never improved! Maintenance gave me some explanation that my room is closest to the source of the cold air and that it should cool down by 8 o’clock at night, that was never the case as my room was a constant 74°! Even if they couldn’t afford to change all the tubs in the hotel, they could do a glazing over as mine was repulsive by the drain and a water handles/drain! If it wasn’t for the great location of the hotel, I would’ve tried to change my vacation once I checked in… sorry but for what the rooms cost each night, they should be A bit more up-to-date!

We have stayed at the Carousel for the last few years. They have so many amenities we don’t want to stay anywhere else. Love the outdoor bar and restaurant! Had a great vacation last week!

Nice experience so far. Temperatures are kept nice. Food is reasonably priced for a vacation. The area has a lot of necessities as well. Grocery store right across the street.

Kids love the skating and pools. There's a convenient store, snack area, beach acess, restaurant. Beautiful views. It truly is an all inclusive experience.

This is our third year here. I am a single mother with a daughter who does competition cheer in a daughter in college we love it here it is always keep clean and friendly and a lot to do in this area. Even on off-season. We will continue to come here and make memories.

Such an amazing hotel. Anything you needed and called for was there in less than5 minutes. Towels, fans, etc. Highly recommend this hotel for romantic getaway or family time. Ice rink, pool, and hot tub in the hotel. Very clean.

Filty rooms not cleaned for months roaches on the nightstand rude manager security knocking on my door 1 in the morning waking my child very dated.

We took family ice skating and they had a blast. The price was very reasonable too.

I am so frustrated. I’ve heard great things about this place and rented a condo for Christmas to take my kids and grandkids from 12/26/21-12/29/21. Haven’t been able to spend Christmas with all of them at the same time well low and behold 5 of us have tested positive for COVID all have been vaccinated and I call to try and postpone to another day. Yes I read the policy but being vaccinated I wasn’t expecting this to be a problem. Carousel’s solution is for me to swallow $346.00 deposit. No they won’t let us transfer to another date. I said well we will come sick that’s a lot of money for me to throw away and she said if I do that it’s illegal. Oh and mam we are a business! And…. We are in our 3rd year of Covid well I’m sorry it took us 3 years to catch Covid! Very disappointing!

This review does not reflect the staff! the staff is amazing and it's not fair that who ever owns the place does not put money back into the building. The place is so outdated stuff is falling apart, very dirty and dusty because they don't have the help. For the money you spend you would definitely expect a lot more for what you're paying to stay in Ocean city. I could understand if I was paying like under 100 bucks a night… but they're charging over 200 a night.

Love this place! On the beach, indoor pool, hot tub, ice skating rink, everything you could ask for at a reasonable price.

We enjoyed happy hour in the Reef where we enjoyed excellent service and very generous servings. Following we stepped out to enjoy a spirited ice show. Give it a try, you’ll enjoy.

The carousel is a nice place to stay, beautiful beachfront, bar, grill, pool, ice rink, and for a vacation resort, fairly affordable. Plenty of stores n restaurants nearby, and only 15 minutes drive to the board walk, depending on traffic. Also lots of free parking on the side streets if your down for just a day.

The ocean view is amazing and staff is so friendly.

Upon arrival, check in employees were friendly and made the process easy despite the many people checking in. As we headed up to our room, the hallway was freezing!
After we entered our room, we soon realized that it had not been cleaned (dirty carpet, surfaces not wiped down, stains on counter tops, trash behind bed, etc. ) and the room was in overall disrepair. I phoned the front desk and requested a new room. Again, the employees handled it professionally and in a timely fashion, we were out of the old and into the new.
The new room was much cleaner, yet, it was still very much in disrepair (broken toilet seat, cracks in tub floor, dirty, ripped carpet behind bed, etc. ).
Overall, the hotel seems to be lacking major maintenance upkeep, which, in my opinion, falls on the ownership and management. Doors are broken around the hotel, carpet is old and worn out, simple things that take minutes to fix have fallen to the wayside. Curb appeal plays a huge part in a guests comfort in their stay, and this hotel lacks it big time. I’m sure in it’s hay day, the Carousel would be a lovely place to stay, especially families with children. Today will be my last time staying here, unless I hear of a MAJOR overhaul renovation.

This is one of the worse hotels I have ever stayed at. They accused me of only informing them of my concerns at check out but I talked to the front desk on several occasions. Regarding the lack of towels, the bath drain was very slow, the screen for the balcony door was not even on the track. The sink stopper was filthy with black slim. The faucet was full of lime scale. The bar which is on their property allows people to get so drunk that they pee in the rose bushes. I witnessed it at least 3 times from my balcony. The hotel was "Booked solid " per the hotel staff during covid. Hmmm? They claim to have a limit on people using the pools. I seen a very large amount of people using the pools both times. While the ice skating is a nice plus I don't think I should have to inform them that all around the edge it is molding and rotting. Don't they inspect such areas? The last morning I had to completely unpack everything and shake it out because I found a roach crawling down our wall. Again they claim I should have informed them sooner. Really? I found it the morning I was leaving. They refused to give even a partial refund. Shame on them.

I would not recommend this place payed lot of money for ocean view. Then got a room with a view of air conditioner and a little view of the ocean. Then the room they move us to it smells and the veiw is not better. They where not nice.

Wonderful place to stay… like a home away from your own home. Nice staff. Friendly. Very pleasant! I'm definitely making this hotel my stay for future trips wonderful amazing stays.

Great Hotel, lots of activities inside to do incase of rain, like a game room, pool, sauna, ice skating rink, and much more, only downfall is the bathroom is very small.

It's a nice dump. Pool was nasty and had skin flakes floating in it. Hot tub was closed when they said it was open. The room was stale smelling. And the phone didn't work to order food service. Over all not a clean place needs updated.

With this place you get what you pay for. The price was very good. However loud ruckus until about 4 am every night I was here. Worn down and old rooms. Unique smell. Staff was very nice. Great for a day or two but I would never stay for a week. I am a man of luxury and comfort. Next time I will splurge and get something a little nicer.

Always wanted to stay here since I was a kid! Finally did it and regret ever doing so! The staff could care less about you or your stay. Found a bunch of roaches all over and when I told them and showed them pictures, they basically shrugged it off. I told two different associates and the last one ignored me and answered the phone and walked away. Never will I stay at any of there owned properties, I’d rather stay at a cheap hotel that’s at least clean and friendly.

We were very pleased with our stay! Room was clean, beds comfortable, bathroom was clean. Ocean view room was nice that you could still see and hear the ocean but not oceanfront. The Front desk staff was super friendly, we arrived several hours early and called to see if they had a room ready to which they did! We loved the indoor pool and hot tub and having beach access from the hotel. The Starbucks at the snack kiosk was also a plus along with homemade donuts for the kids! Could use a few updates but can’t complain with the convenience of everything here for the price.

Return guests! We will keep coming back. The rooms are great, pools and ice rink are a big hit. Beach access is simple and great food. Amenities are above and beyond. And the staff amazing.

Great place to stay right on the beach. The hotel has an ice skating rink inside the atrium with a nice little snack bar. Restaurant and bar right on premises so you never have to leave! Inside heated pool.

I attended a 3 day long professional conference here. They covered the ice rink and turned it into a vendors station. The conference rooms are large, but inadequately ventilated. We were all burning up in one of those room (not the Virginia room). There is a nice stand that has coffee and snacks. The side view room was small but open making it look larger than it was. There was a mini fridge, TV, and two full sized bed. They were actually quite comfortable. The rooms have a view from the inner balcony overlooking the former ice rink area. Not all rooms have this though. Overall it was an enjoyable experience!

We just checked out of this hotel this morning, and we were very pleased with our stay! Room was clean, beds comfortable, bathroom was nice and clean, stocked well with towels. The Front desk staff was super friendly, we arrived several hours early and we were allowed to use the pool and acess the beach in the meantime, then received a phone call 2 hours prior to our check in time that our room was ready. We were able to use our room early at no extra cost! We loved the indoor pool, and it was so conveniant having beach access from the hotel. We didnt try the bar and grill at the hotel, however the food looked and smelled amazing!

This is a very family oriented hotel. There are events nightly, ice skating shows at 6:30 (except fridays), themed dinning nights. The hotel provides a great view with quality rooms. The rooms could be up dated for appeal but everything is great. Many amenities and food options within the hotel. We would definitely return.

I suspect that most people don't go to Ocean City for the hotel experience. Queen suite includes two decent quality beds. Variety of pillows was nice. Patio fronted on to the indoor ice rink! Small fridge in room was helpful. Main attraction of course was the beach which was a three min walk from bedroom to sand. Two a. M. Fire alarm was different. Variety of snacks including Starbucks brand coffee next to ice rink is convenient.

Awesome hotel. Right on the beach with 2 pools and plenty for our kids to do. Our room overlooked the ice rink which was great. The staff was helpful and friendly. Only issue was the HVAC seemed to struggle to keep the hotel cool. Was VERY hot everywhere. But will 100% stay there again. Also the donuts are AMAZING.

First time attending the show but longtime OC visitor. Highly recommend the show. A cool getaway on a hot day. The performers are all professional quality and look like they enjoy the show as much as we did. Show is just long enough that our 3 year old was able to stay focused and enjoy too. Good job!

We booked our rooms and was set to check-in at 4:00pm. Shortly after having such an awesome customer service experience over the phone, on the way to Ocean City from Baltimore… We all were at ease and couldn't wait to meet the front desk team of employees whom which welcomed us with a huge smile.
After signing the documents, I asked for a supervisor/ manager so that I can make it known that we appreciate the great service and to make note of it… as I explained that people are quick to make a complaint about the bad things that happens but never report the good because they're releaved and comfortable set in their own way of selfishness to the point that it remains not important to the public that the good isn't exposed as much as the bad.

I loved everything about our stay at this resort. My favorite part was laughing so hard with in the first 8 seconds of meeting the front desk staff as if we've none reach other before.
This place is so worth it, from the city of early morning breakfast and their staff team did a great job too. There's this young lady whom which is the manager, who treated each and every single one of her Co worker under her supervision with respect and a boost of inspirations.

Staying at Carousel Resort Hotel was a great experience. The hotel was pretty enjoyable with a lot to do their. This hotel was a great place to stay at it you came for the beach considering there is a walkway to there. I would highly reccomend this hotel for anyone staying at Ocean City for a few days or so.

The music from the atrium was loud at 9:00. Trying to put kids to bed was hard. Kinda hard to understand some of the staff. Loved the pools and to be able to walk to the beach right out the doors. They have amazing pizza. All in all it was good. Wasn't so happy with the congestion of trying to get on elevators at all times. Our room over looked the atrium.

We stayed in room 262 last night, the door does not close properly unless you slam it, the courtyard area inside was full of bins to catch the many leaks, both pools were closed, and this morning there were actually ducks swimming in the outdoor pool. The tile inside the door is incredibly slick when you have to walk across the wet outdoor walkway to get to the room, all of us had to catch ourselves from falling on several occasions coming into the room. The pizza and wings we ordered yesterday were gross. The whole place just seemed a bit dated and not properly maintained. But the shower was amazing, the bed was comfortable, the room was clean, and it’s on a nice area of beach.

Room was outdated. For the money you spend you would expect something more modern. Food over priced and small quantity. Ice rink was nice. Rooms are clean staff was helpful. Movie nights for the kids was great. Tablet was broke in the process by a staff member and now awaiting to see what the hotel does to accommodate the situation.

Older style hotel, would love more modern, but over all clean and fun. Huge. Loved the ocean view, loved the 3 pools (even though the outside ones need a little cleaning on the bottom), loved the skating rink, and the food. I loved that you could get a drink at the bar and walk around the hotel with it, because of my kids I was not able to sit at a bar. Made my stay much nicer. Hotel staff was super nice, loved that. The bathroom was a bit dirty (shower head, ceiling, etc) Glad my stay was only a night didn't have to use it. The room was a good size also. I would stay here again for sure. Did not eat here though, can not speak on the food. Location is nice, far from the boardwalk but plenty of beach space. Moon bounce outside for the kids and fire-pit tables.

Great hotel. My kids loved the balcony overlooking the ice rink. Yes I said ice rink! A mini ice rink is in the center of the hotel and is very reasonable price to skate for however long you feel. Indoor pool and hot tub were very nice. Could have used a few extra towels but was very nice none the less. At first I was skeptical about being so far from the boardwalk but after realizing it was obly a 10 minute drive I'd much rather be away from the hustle and bustle of the boardwalk and enjoy my evenings and a nice hotel. Rooms could use a bit of updating but was suffiencent for the off season rates. Will definitely be planning my next trip to ocean city with this place in mind.

I enjoyed my stay. The room was very clean. My only issue was the pullout bed, which appeared to be vety old. I asked about a replacement and a cot was given to me immediately at no cost. The service was exquisite. Thanks Carousel Hotel, I think we will be back next year.

I was very disappointed this time my sliding glass door did not open until Saturday afternoon when maintenance fixed it. I was told by the lady when I booked it that ocean patio was an ocean view and I had a building directly behind my room blocking the ocean I was in room 153 when I let the lady at the front desk know she said ocean patio is not Oceanview very disappointed in the way it was handled.

Great location and staff! My company's Spring Trade Show was held in the Carousels atrium. We had a successful event. Vendors/exhibitors were pleased with the open floor plan. Carousel staff is very accommodating and I look forward to working with them in the future!

Somewhat outdated decor in the rooms and the main areas where the ice skating rink is located. At least that's when I was last there in December 2017. But the lobby and front desk appear to have been remodeled so that's cool if your room is located there, in the lobby. But hey it's a typical beach front hotel. Your not there to live in the room.

I always enjoy staying here, especially in the off season. Always clean. Rooms have great views. Just get a room that's not in the atriun or you can hear the music and noise from the ice rink!

Love this place. The staff. Is great and very helpful. The rooms are clean and spacious with microwaves and mini fridges. The only reason for 4 stars is the noise — if your room opens onto the atrium. The sound really carries! All the other rooms are quiet.

We had the best vacation here the kids LOVED ice skating each night our room was clean and sand free. The food and drinks were delicious. It was so nice to relax at the outside bar. It was also away from the hustle and more family oriented. This will be our hotel from now on. Very friendly and helpful staff and great parking. I can't say enough! Very pleased!

We had a wonderful time at the Carousel, however our room had a couple issues. There was no hot water coming from the sinks, at night the room would get very warm. We turned off the heat, and tried turning on the a. C. And didn't work. Lastly, the sliding glass door to our balcony was not on the track, making it very hard to open and close it. I would still recommend staying at this hotel. Staff were very nice, everything was clean, the bar was very nice and drinks were delicious.

It was a really nice hotel had everything. We didn't have any water and coffee pot was broken but they came right away to make it right. The elevators are not so great. The door slammed on me as I was getting in. It is a nice place though. Lots of stuff for kids.

Went for the kids to ice skate and also had a drink at the bar. The rink is what it is, tiny and not very good ice but keeps the kids entertained. The bar was fantastic. Bartender was very friendly and the drinks were very good.

I have been coming to the carousel since I was a young child, and I've always loved It! I brought my toddlers here for a birthday party and they had a blast! Staff is friendly and helpful and the vicinity is always clean.

I loved the visit because it is an environment rhodium-plated among family members. With access to the beach.

Great deals at the Bar and Grill. Rooms are a bit pricey, but it's all inclusive. Plus it's Ocean Front which is always a plus.

The staff at Carousel was very friendly. We had a last minute change of schedule and we're able to secure a same day booking overnight, though it was rather pricey to do so. The hotel accommodations were fantastic, with many activities for visitors. So many visitors… so many that the elevator and lobby congestion was painful. They were very active and social in the hotel side until very late (11p. M. ), with an indoor pool, an arcade, an ice skating rink (which was zamboni'd at 11 p. M. By a propane fueled tractor O. O. Also, side note: Carousel is a smoke free hotel, period, and any infringement on that policy can buy you a fine of $350.00… even on your private room patio/balcony. As for the room we rented, the hot tub was awesome, but the sliding glass door to the patio did not function well, the beds were hard as padded ply board, and there was a sincere lack of electrical outlets. We WILL be staying at Carousel next vacation, but we will be looking into renting a private suite from the condominium side. In short, the customer service was great, the amenities are fantastic, the location and beach access is amazing, but the actual hotel side's rooms left quite a bit to be desired both in price and functionality.

We like the Carousel, one those grand dame of oceanfront hotels erected in the early 1960s in what was then a huge construction boom in Ocean City. It has a certain old school style mostly unchanged throughout the years of our visits. It is certainly a family vacation spot including a day camp for the kids and family events such as free movies and most Most notably a giant ice rink with skate rentals and the walkers that newbies to skating can use. The evening ice shows are quite lovely. A large outdoor pool and direct access to the beach are terrific features as well as an indoor pool perfect on a rainy day. They also offer two complementary beach chairs the type which are easy to carry and sit on the sand for use by guests. Free Wi-Fi was well received since other resorts often charge for this service. While others think of the hotel as outdated and in need of an overhaul, we like the large spacious rooms. It is clean and well maintained. It is also relatively reasonable particularly if you are able to forgo the ocean front balcony accommodations. We stayed in the internal atrium units for $179/night. The restaurants are nice and also reasonably priced including an outdoor bar and grill with a wait staff. Staff appears to be mostly Eastern European students working to pay their college tuition and they are pleasant and well trained.

Stayed at the 22nd floor at one of the corner suites. Very nice compared to some of the other ocean city hotels. Free beach chairs are a plus! The food at the bar is expensive however. $10 for a cheeseburger.

We stayed there for 3 nights and had wonderful time. The staff was friendly, the location was excellent with many essential shops within a block. Hotel amenities were great, including the ice show and movie on the beach. Views of the bay and the ocean were magnificent. Only complaint? Hotel may need some updated in the near future. Although very clean, the hotel looks and feels old, and the lot very jammed. Overall a great stay and definitely would recommend.

Beautiful and clean rooms! I cannot wait to stay again, had a rough experience with a different hotel an hour before and called the Carousel, and Annette was wonderful and friendly to us at the front desk, even at midnight! Everything was wonderful and the view was gorgeous! I will be staying more than one night next time! Definitely check this place o.

The rooms and amenities are nice. However, the food is below average. The restaraunt staff inside and outside have poor customer service skills. The service is slow and the staff do not work hard for their tips. This is not an isolated experience, it occurs every summer. I return for the amenities, as I have small children.

Originally booked a room with an atrium view and immediately didn't like it. I didn't realize the noise from the ice rink room outside and below the balcony would be so easily heard from inside of the room. The front desk was very understanding and let me change to a bay view room with no hassle or extra charge. The room was clean and spacious, everything you would expect with a nice bay view balcony.

Our room was very nice, but there seemed to be a lot of rif-raff staying there and they had to call the police as someone was throwing furniture over the balcony from the 17th floor. A lot of trash mouth around the little kids.

We are annual visitors to the carousel and are always pleased when we stay. The service and accommodations are excellent. Only thing that irks me is you pay top dollar to stay and the pool towels they provide are like sandpaper.

Awful room view and the ice rink was okay but kinda an awkward position in the room. The little snack thingy wasn't all that good excluding the ice cream… I wish that the rooms looked better too. I mean it's right on the beach which is a great advantage. However having the bar right as you exit is kinda weird considering a lot of families stay here. Overall, stay if you want it to be hella cold inside but hot outside.

The view from the room of the ocean was breathtaking. The room was nice and big, but the bathroom was a bit small. Ice skating was super fun, but after a while the ice needed to be cleaned and it wasn't which lead to more falls. The pool was very nice, the spa was so warm and relaxing, I could personally spend all day in it. The hotel was all around good. But on the days that I was there there was construction on the ground floor and the third floor which emitted an unbearable odor.

Perfect for our golf location. Great amenities, including a workout room for post golf stretching and band workouts. We had an amazing view overlooking the ocean, and come back to this location every year.

Rooms were basic but affordable. Not as much to do up in the area up there (lots of strip malls and stuff like that) but it seemed like a cool place if you have kids. There's an ice skating rink in the hotel which is pretty neat. Lots of kids running up and down the halls though. So maybe a good spot if you have kids but less so if you don't (it could get pretty loud when they were running up and down our hall and the stairwells).

My stay was absolutely amazing! Some may say I am exaggerating about the 5 star rating but there is nothing bad I can say about this hotel! The ocean front view is stunning and the room has a welcoming feel! I had the ice skating rink right out my door but the room was nice and quiet! I stayed when there was a Hockey tournament going on but no screams, loud music, or buzzers disturbed my room! The ice skating rink was the funnest part of my day! My family would be so excited to go to ice skating rink everyday and we had a blast learning the rules of ice skating! When the ice skating rink was closed, professional teen skaters trained on the ice and it was a pleasure watching their wonderful routines. The room service was amazing! We left for breakfast and when we came back the room was already spotless! The ocean-front restaurant had delicious food! The breakfast buffet was perfect and the dinners were amazingly cooked and had a fun plating! The deserts where delicious and not too sweet! It was a pleasure to be served by our waitress! She was kind and fun to talk to! Those are only some of the things that I loved about this hotel! I highly recommend that you visit there! I wish you a pleasurable vacation!

I love it here! I came here a few times with my family over the summer. I love how there's plenty of things to do here for when it's evening and don't want to leave the hotel. We wound up getting the oceanfront room the last 2 times we went here, and I love the view! I'm planning to go again this upcoming summer with family as long as there's a room.

Great location and amenities. Building needs serious upgrades and a good cleaning. Common spaces were reasonably clean. Had to change rooms a few times because of broken utilities or unsanitary conditions.

I stayed December 26th to 27th to celebrate my mom's birthday. The ice rink was the main reason we stayed here and it was a little lackluster. It was small and they didn't maintain it. When we went skating at 7, there were puddles of water all over the rink, so when I hit a groove and fell, my entire back was soaked. In the 2 hours we skated they didn't run the Zamboni once, which I've never seen at any other ice rink I've gone to. The view of the ocean was nice and the beds were moderately comfortable (I overhead one woman complaining about bedbugs but I personally didn't have any). The breakfast buffet was expensive and wasn't really worth it. Overall it wasn't the worst place I've stayed.

Usually was always a pleasurable visit. This last visit tho the front desk person wasn't very helpful. The suite was too much like the regular rooms.

The rooms were clean and the house keeping was good, but the food they prepared for the dinner had some issues. Some of the steaks were only cooked to medium rare and some of the stakes were actually rare. They had no food options for my vegetarian friend. And the chicken was bland.

We stayed in a condo last summer. Staff was friendly although they weren't that personable. Ice rink was great for a family activity. Snack bar inside was good for a quick bite to eat. The outdoor restaurant wasn't that special. We went to the breakfast buffet the last day of our trip and it was pretty good. The location of the hotel was amazing because it was in close proximity to a grocery store and many restaurants. We absolutely loved the view from our condo. My family had a beautiful view of the ocean and the bay. It was spectacular. Overall a great vacation and great hotel. I would recommend it to other families and would definitely return.

Check in is a very very slow process and the customer service could be much better. Waited 10 minutes for a elevator only to get to my room and the key didn't work. Wait another 10 minutes to get the elevator down and go to the front desk to explain my key didn't work. Instead of an apology she asks me "well, what did you do to it? " Are you kidding me. Then of course another wait for the elevator back up and down. A trip to go to the room to get my car keyes turned into a 45 minute ordeal. The overall hotel is nice, especially for families but the elevator issues and customer service ruined it for me.

A month prior to my arrive I booked a room through Travelocity. I showed up on the date (Saturday) only to fine out for some reason Travelocity canceled my reservation! I didn't know what to do! Its the middle of June and the weekend! Every single hotel in Ocean City was full!. The Reservations Manager Devanna Young was informed about the situation. We then went into her office and we sat down searching and thinking trying to find a solution. 20mins later she found just that! and I was able to stay at the hotel after all. I cant Thank her or the staff at Carousel Resorts enough! The hotel, the staff, the room! Everything was amazing! I cant wait to stay here again :-).

I've been going to ocean city almost every year. My kids have a great time. We stay @ the Carousel Hotel every time we go. A few times we had issues and the staff did take care of them. This is a great place to stay at. Secondly it's away from the boardwalk, less crowds and can enjoy the beach behind the hotel. Travel time to the boardwalk is about 20 minutes.

The hotel was great in more ways then bad. The staff was friendly and quick. Also, there's plenty of stuff to keep you busy in the hotel. HOWEVER, I stayed with a group of friends. We had 3 rooms total. A boy I was with came back with bed bugs.

I really feel like this is just like any other hotel in the area as far as accommodations goes; but what I really liked was the ice skating inside and their wide variety of amenities.

We stayed here New Years eve with a 10 month old. This place was so noisy you could hear everyone's door slamming, all the massively intoxicated neighbors struggling to get into their rooms and slamming everything around. The room shakes when doors close. You can hear conversations and doors closing in the room next to you through the walls. The baby did not sleep. This hotel is in massive need of modernization and sound proofing like 99% of other 3 star and higher hotels have. Not staying here again. And if you're in need of a quiet room, I suggest you do the same. The restaurant had pretty slow service as well. I have stayed here at least six times and all experiences have been identical to the above.

Nice room for the money tight security but very noisey.

Do not waste your time! I called the week before my stay to see how much it would be to arrive on friday instead of saturday and stay untl sunday. The guy who I talked to on the phone told me it was no charge. So I took off of work to arrive on friday and come to find out they had me checking out on saturday! They ended up extending my stay until sunday and charged me 200.00 dollars! l Lost a day of work to deal with this place! Sunday I was telling the guy behind the counter about what this gentlemen told me on the phone he was not concerned and had that smart ass look on his face that he did not care at all! And if you ever book your vacation here make shure you are not on the 1st floor if you want to see the ocean! I opened the blinds and seen the bar! when I book online and see (ocean view) thats what I want to see! not the bar.

Very disappointed! Spent five days at Carousel and had no hot water for most of those days. TV stations (although listed in the guide) indicated "no signal". When asked how our stay was upon checkout, I told them about the hot water and all I got was "I'm sorry about that". Never will stay there again.

Save your money and don't bother. For a room that costs $300 a night its worthless. Our room door was held together with 20 screws, there was so much patch work done to the kitchenette area that it looked like the surface of the moon. The main room AC unit did not work and it wasn't until the next day when I went to the front desk that someone actually showed up and replaced it, oh and did I mention that outlets were falling out of the wall? The refrigerator was a joke, and it too didn't work. Fire alarm went off 3 times in the AM which we had to evacuate the room. The ice machine is covered in mold, their was trash all over the receptacle and it really smelled worse then trash. Some amenities are nice but not worth. Save your self the headache and don't stay, especially if you have kids.

First of all I used a booking site in April to book the room. Two weeks before my check-in date, I called the hotel to ask a question, they told me my account had been cancelled do to insufficient funds in my bank account. I was mortified! NEVER NOTIFIED! I told them that couldn't be correct. I immediately called my bank. My bank informed me that the hotel had not tried to withdraw money out what so ever. I called the Carousel back and told them what happened the man from the hotel was extremely rude and very argumentative. They typed in wrong numbers. He told me he has rooms available but not ocean view as I booked the first time. I was upset but at that point and time I was desperate. The Carousel employee booked another room for my family and I for $1, 300, my original room was $750. I replied. Absolutely not I want the same price. He said there was no way he could help me. I hung up and called the "booking site" and told them what was going on. The booking site contacted the Carousel for me and got my original price back. The day we arrived the employee at the check-in was extremely rude. When we asked a question we got hostility response back. When he let us know our room was ready he stated "I am placing you in one of the highest rooms we have" then he chuckled and handed us our room key for the third floor, the rooms went up to 22 I believe. I was very unhappy with his sarcastic attitude.

Great value! Clean rooms. No late night noise due to tight security and no party policy. Good distance from boardwalk but nice to walk out of hotel onto a quiet stretch of beach.
