Have been staying here for YEARS when I was younger! Now, staying here with my own children! Close to the beach, food, and shopping — all in walking distance! Great staff and super friendly! Definately home away from home! Can't wait to be here in a few weeks!

Nice clean modest motel close to the beach, 2 minute walk and you’re there. Friendly and accommodating staff.

Our first trip this year was in June. Last minute trip. Was great! Went again 2 weeks ago for an anniversary trip and like always everything was great. Can’t wait to be back this weekend with the whole family. Rooms comfortably sleeps 4 with private bathroom. There are 2 larger rooms that can sleep 6. Which we like when we have the kids for the extra room with the toys and pack n play. Always clean, friendly and helpful. This is probably about my 20th year come if to the Shangri La and I still get just as excited as I did when I was a kid! So glad I get to share the same summer fun with my children. 4 generations or good memories!

Nice place to stay in OCMD. Full size fridge, small stove and sink very convenient. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Will definitely stay here again.

Such a cool old school beach hotel. Very cute. Very clean. Loved the small kitchen area. Perfect for our needs. Can’t get much closer to the beach. Already talking about when we can come back.

My husband and I stayed here a couple weekends ago for the first time. We were very happy with everything. Room was clean. Beds and sheets were clean and nice. The owners were very nice and polite. We will definitely stay here again in the future.

This motel is not close to the boardwalk so be prepared to drive or take the bus. The rooms are bigger than I expected but not perfect. Some of the cabinet doors and also the bathroom door did not close correctly. The people were very nice and courteous.

Great little place… clean clean and clean. Rooms seem updated in the past few years, great staff, comfortable beds. Did mention clean? Basic place to stay for a great price!

Okay, let me first state that I'm rating this place high due to the value it offers. It is not a luxury hotel… it's a motel. Place is in a fantastic location. Structure and rooms could use renovating / updating but they're okay for my uses. My uses, btw, is just a place to sleep. We were there for the boardwalk and the surf which was great because there were storms of shore and we like that stuff lol. Once again, do not go here if you want something akin to the Hilton or Marriot. Those are down the street, this is low cost for beach access.

We got a really good price on an off day. We were pleasantly surprised at the facilities especially the fact our room had a full kitchenette. This is by no mean a 5 star resort but for a family spending all their time at the beach it's perfect. Close proximity to the beach and a 5 min drive to the boardwalk!

Hotel is great. Staff is pleasant. Had a stove, freezer, oven and fridge. Dishes pit pans an utensils are in room as well. It's like a little home away from home. Spent a week here with family. Had a great time. Outside pool goes up to 5 feet.

Very nice. Clean and friendly. Would definitely stay again. Only disapoinment was no coffee pot in room thou they do have free coffee in the office.

Old, but clean and full of amenities. The pool was working. Room had a full kitchenette, table and chairs for eating and more for other stuff. Rooms are non-smoking, but there are two chairs, a small table and an ashtray outside each room, all protected from the rain. There is parking. The staff were friendly and helpful. There is a 24 hour convenience store across the street. Might be disappointing to those used to new chain properties, but I was delighted.

Just love staying here! We come back year after year after year! Susan and her staff are so friendly and helpful, rooms very clean and comfortable, fresh coffee and tea in the morning, 1/2 block to the beach, the only motel we ever stay in (and Seahawk when Shangri-La is booked). :-) :-) 9* +

EXCELLENT place to stay in OC. Prob one of the best prices and definitely the best place available at this price. A little older but very friendly front desk staff and VERY clean! Will definitely be back.

We stayed here for the first time this past memorial day weekend. We were so pleased with our stay we will definitely be back. The room was very clean, the staff was super friendly and more than accommodating. It was a VERY short walk to the beach.

This place is a hidden gem. No complaints — especially for the price and location.

My family and I have stayed that the Shangri La for several years now. We absolutely love it! The staff (including the owner) of the hotel is courteous, friendly, and always will to help if needed. This hotel is family owned which is my favorite part! The pool and rooms are always very clean.

Love Shangri La! Rooms are well-appointed with full-sized fridges, stoves, and lots of cabinet space. Friendly front desk employees. Rates are reasonable — especially considering the amenities. Shangri La is my first choice when vacationing in Ocean City!

Location is good, staff is friendly, have a pool that looks clean. I give 3 stars only because the amenities are not great and it is outdated. I guess you get what you pay for.

At first I was a bit iffy about reserving the room. Once we arrived, the man at the front desk was incredibly nice. We got to the room and its a very simple bit nice room. Very clean! We loved that you couldn't hear your neighbors. The kitchen was perfect for us to make a few meals. The full size fridge was a plus! Being on costal highway, we expected it to be very loud. It was not that way. Once in awhile you heard a loud truck but that was nothing. It was a perfect motel for going to the beach. We walked up since it was only a block way. Sure it's a drive to the boardwalk, bit we were fine with that. The pool is kept very clean and was warm when we went in. It is a small pool but it is perfect. All in all, we can't wait to have another stay at the Shangri La Motel!

The rooms were actually big and the kitchen is a plus. It was conveniently located, just steps away from the beach. Ladies at the front desk were so nice. We would definetely stay there again. Very clean and nice :)
