Food was great, service was good for as busy as our waiter was.
Great food and a great tropical atmosphere. We got engaged on the big stage with a lot of TV monitors on Valentines Day in 2004…. Love Seacrets❤️❤️
Best time with mike! so much fun fast and attentive service! great conversation and the best sunset!
Awesome staff and atmosphere!
Great food, music and atmosphere. Seacrets is a great time.
Horrible service! Food was good. That’s about all the good things I have to say. Not the Seacets I used to know. Won’t come back.
We visited the Ocean City area Super Bowl weekend. We had a great time, very friendly bar staff and we even won on some numbers! Great atmosphere too!
For the amount of money they charge it should be fresh. The fried shrimp were prepared by sysco. The food is terrible. The drinks are good. The service was ok and the atmosphere was nice. They need to stick to drinks. One and done!
Everything was delicious! Fast service.
Great atmosphere. Food and service!
Brian is the BEST. The positive energy he brings is exactly what I needed when coming for a quick getaway. Will come back not only for the atmosphere but for his amazing service too. Thank you Brian! Your drinks and killer personality left an impact I will never forget. Big love for Seacrets! You got a good one. 🙂
This iconic venue is by far the best east coast shore destination bar none. The impeccable aesthetics and tropical vibe are unmatched along with the venues entertainment. The top notch staff and management are very attentive and accommodating.
Best frozen orange crush! Jerk shrimp, jerk chicken and munchie plate are the greatest!
Little Jamaica great owner, good food, great staff!
Definitely a more professional atmosphere this time. Thier new years party was great!
They Love to over charge. Hell they said I had 17 drinks. And my wife who is 5 foot even and.
Waiter took her sweet ol’ time coming to the table after being seated. After she gets there she felt annoyed that I was ready to order after asking what I wanted to drink. Love the place but the staff is awful.
Just friendly staff, great food, great drinks, very clean we own a bar so was very nice.
Great food and drinks. Love the party outside.
Best time as always! Very friendly staff and security, great atmosphere, great food, great time over all!
Amazing views! wonderful service.
Great service. Great music and good food.
Great food and waitress. Highly recommend.
Food and drinks are fantastic and the staff was so much fun!
First time there. Amazing atmosphere, great waitress, great food and reasonably priced. Will definitely go back.
Cool atmosphere! Great staff! Good food and drinks at reasonable prices! Fun place!
Love this place the staff are amazing.
Nice atmosphere. Food was good and the service was great. Thank you to Brian our Bartender.
This is literally the worst customer service I’ve ever seen. The security guy was disrespectful to the point that he just started yelling at my company and demanding the IDs in extremely rood way. It’s was a party of 16 people and two managers and a guard were yelling and swearing extremely load and even threaten us. We are very respectful people and we are not gonna take this attitude from anyone. If you respect yourself, please don’t come to this trash place. I guess the only good explanation of this situation that they are dealing too much with a very trashy people and have no idea what customer service is. I hope that the owner will take this into consideration and will get rid of the stuff that has no idea how to treat the customers.
Great service, great food, great drink and great view and environment ❤️❤️❤️
It was a good not great experience. The food wasn’t all that. Maybe I’ll try just drinks next time. The menu wasn’t that either. It was ok. The views were amazing that’s the ONLY thing I really enjoyed.
We only had a couple drinks and the crab toast with shrimp, but we loved all of it. Great service, friendly staff, good food and drinks, lovely atmosphere. Great experience overall.
Wonder staff! Great food! Brought jerk marinade to make chicken at home!
Great staff and vibe. Music was right on for the environment.
Great drinks & food. Recommend the distillery tour. Very unique.
Seacrets is a great place to pretend you’re on an island vacation. The atmosphere is lush, the vibe chill, the music cool and the food delish, and it’s constantly evolving. One of my favorite spots to watch the sunset, and a great Friday Happy Hour in the off season. Generous portions of their crowd-pleasing jerk chicken is my go-to meal paired with whatever else is on the specials menu. The steamed shrimp are plump and perfectly cooked and the meat falls right off the rib bones. Also love Rusty at the bar, he’s the friendliest, most attentive server and is a perfect representation of the rest of the staff, as well. My husband and I always feel welcome and reminisce about our honeymoon in Jamaica while imbibing and enjoying the beautiful surroundings.
Seacrets makes some strange choices sometimes. Our favorite menu item was the caeser chicken wrap. Stopped in the other day and it was no longer on the menu. Server said they were on a limited menu due to shutting down soon for winter. We can understand that to an extent, but they are still offering their sandwiches and Caesar salads. They are still using everything it would take to make a caeser wrap, so why refuse to make it. This type of thing has happened a few times now over the years. Needless to say, we were disappointed and will probably not choose to come to seacrets much anymore.
Amazing food, nightlife, and atmosphere. They have a beach front view and even have tables and floats out in the water. They have multiple stages and live music every day.
The atmosphere, the great bands. A very fun place to go!
So fun! Multiple dance floors! Great staff! Right on the Bay!
By far, the best place in OC, mMd Service was excellent as welll.
Great service. Great atmosphere.
Staff was super friendly. Drinks were fantastic. Highly recommend!
This place was amazing! Just came home this past weekend! My friends and I had a blast. From the music (whom was a DJ) to the staff no complaints! Our waitress was Sara she was very attentive. You wanna get there by 10am when the open on a Saturday if you want a good table.
Let’s see… you get strip searched at the door, you pay $9.50 for drinks served in a specimen cup, the “Peace Police” were telling ladies to remove their sunglasses in the bar — some of those glasses having very clear lenses, and even though we are good friends with the band and they said it was ok to hang out side stage, those same “Peace Police” would not let us hang out there.
We will stay in our town of Dewey Beach where people are not as uptight.
The waiter Ace made the night.
I have never been disappointed by the atmosphere or service in any area of the place. For those that don’t know the size of the place it’s very large. The night life is a total blast. Don’t take my word go have the time of your life.
Nice place, nice atmosphere, good place to have a good time.
I'm boycotting they escorted a guy out coz his hat was on backwards and he spent A LOT of $$$ won't be back!
Great music, Great Atmosphere, Great Vibe! I really enjoyed myself.
We were at Seacrets today
We are regulars
We sat at the bar and it had salt scattered on it and used napkins
A female red haired bartender in a 69 raven football shirt asked us what we wanted to drink.
She brought our drinks and turned to walk away
I asked if she could wipe the bar
She did, but just in front of my husband
Took our money and when she returned I asked for the bar rag to clean off in front of me and instead of cleaning the bar she handed the rag to me to clean the bar.
Now I know it's late in the season but shame on her.
Most of the bartenders are very friendly even when busy
This lady needs to find a new job.
Obviously contact with people is not one of her strong suits.
Needless to say no tip from us.
Talk about fun! I went here twice and had an ABSOLUTE blast! Drinks are yummy, atmosphere is awesome, music is great — you have a few different areas w/ different types of music so there's a little bit of music for everyone. The one main club has huge confetti dropped and balloons as if it was New Year's Eve! I can't wait to go back! I love it there!
I had a Jamaican pizza that was absolutely amazing. The crust was perfect and crispy just the way I love. My beverage was tasty and not too crazy price wise. The view and service were fantastic too. Glad we stopped in for lunch. Will eat there again. Really wanting to check this place out at night.
This place is Awesome! They make their own Vodka, Rum, and Bourbon. Went on the Distillery tour and it was amazing. Lots of antiques and at the end of the tour you get to sample 3 shots! Definitely recommend this place. The atmosphere is very tropical. There's no other place like it!
Such a fun place. You can sit and float on the bay while enjoying a nice drink. Unfornately no food unless you are sitting inside. Cocktails are tasty and even have there own liquors in them. Highly recommend going here early if you want a spot in the bay. At night it turns into a night club and offers an experience not offered elsewhere.
Got there on a Friday morning. Beautiful! Drinks are good at every bar. The waitresses make sure you drink water if you're out in the bay. Bathrooms are clean even when there's a huge drunk crowd. Lunch was amazing. Great time if you want to be there all day.
Great place to come eat and drink came here to party the other night but now my boyfriend can't come and eat lunch and not drink because his id is not valid. Smh.
Hip, lively spot with drinking IN the bay. Yes you can sit in knee deep water at a table in the bay! Food was excellent, atmosphere was cool, security presence was felt. Niteclub hours were really fun. Friendliness of wait some wait staff could've been better. However, they were about par for the course. Enjoyed mix of live music vs DJ in the different sections of the bar/club.
Excellent atmosphere for the beach, they have it all. Multiple atmosphere settings inside and out. The reason it received 3 stars is because I used their venue to see a concert. Very disappointed with the audio. Made a good band sound C class. The sound mixer is located at the right side of stage. Could barely hear vocals. Would not spend money to see a concert there again. Great place for drinks by the beach though.
Drink are pricey but strong so your good. Place gets packed but it's so fun! Cover to get in plus super pricey drinks and food is the reason I cant give it 5 stars. It's pretty lit at night always a good time!
So many rules for a beach bar. Saw people get kicked out for wearing a tank top. The "peace police" think they're actual police but the jobs only requirement is having an IQ above 60. These guys are jerks and don't give a damn about anything except trying to act superior to you. Everything here is expensive and everything you do, you get yelled at by someone. Only time I've been here and the only time I'm ever going to be here. Don't waste your money paying the cover charge for this place. Looks are deceiving. It may look nice but you'll have a horrible time here. Go somewhere else, you'll have more fun and get more for your $
Amazing seafood and great customer service. I enjoyed my experience and will always return when I'm in Ocean City. We had crabs, shrimp, smoked wings, and crab dip and everything was awesome. I highly recommend you try it if you're ever in the area. The drinks are good too.
This place has lots of different bar areas with different music. From rock to reggae. The live bands were awesome. The bartenders were quite attentive for it being a busy place. The Seacrets spiced rum was excellent! The food was okay. I got the fish tacos which were good. The red beans and rice needed more seasoning but the jerk chicken cheesesteak was yummy. Could be a kid friendly place in the daytime.
My husband and I ended up here 3 days in a row. We aren't big fans of the beach itself so we thought we would check it out around 3pm the first day. We had a few of their frozen drinks and sat at the bar. There was a dj and at 5pm a band came on. We were disappointed we didn't have our suits on cause the people hanging out in the bay looked like they were having a ball. We returned the next day at 1130am with our suits on and water proof bag and got a raft. The waitress was very attentive and amazing (watching her carry 15 drinks on a tray while wading through the water wow). We had the Jamaican pizza for lunch which was good. We were back at it again the next day in the bay. Such an awesome island vibe. The drinks are expensive but they do the trick.
I saw so many great reviews about this place. Last night I experience place with sand everywhere! But has the nerve to have a dress code on their website. It's a big place with bars everywhere and music with live band. All the Dj's sucked! Some were playing old school Britney Spears, slow and old school reggae songs (Bob Marley slow tempo). The cover charge last night was for $10.00 and I wasted it. Maybe its better during the day when they serve real food instead of pizza and hot dogs.
A super dicoteca that put good music and a great atmosphere.
This is our favorite evening/night hangout place everytime we visit Ocean City. Getting in has always been a challenge over a weekend after 10pm with 1-2 hours wait but the wait is always worth it. Their rotating live bands are amazing with great music and they keep the party going with varying variety of songs. There are plenty of bars inside serving decent selection of beers and cocktails. The highlight of this place is the tropical beach ambience. Overall it is a lot of fun and offers a unique experience.
Insane cover charges of 40$ and $30 during memorial weekend. Bartenders were great however, Scott an older gentleman, especially showed great class and knowledge. The staff there made the experience pleasurable. Reduce drink prices to 6, and covers to 15 and you'll have more business.
Had a ton of fun! They have live music and dance floor (with DJ). Just beware the drink prices are exspensive. If you're into quick an easy, like my self they have a green tea shot. Which was amazing ✨. It was really packed memorial day weekend I can't imagine what it's like if it is slow because it's venue is so big. Definitely would go again. They have a metal detector you'll go through before you enter. I was disappointed they didn't have a place to hold my purse safe, so travel light. Special shout-out to the security guards for keeping everyone and myself safe this Memorial day weekend it's much appreciated.
Went on a Friday when it wasn't as busy. No line to get in which was great. Drinks were decent but too sugary for me. Had two of their frozen ones. The band was decent. The decor it fun and makes you feel like you're in Jamaica. I wish the DJ was louder. They responded fast through Facebook when I asked about lines and cover charges. Hi Serena! Cover charge for this weekend begins tonight at 5PM. It's $5 at 5PM, $6 at 6PM, up a dollar on the hours until $10 at 10PM where it remains $10 for the rest of the night. Saturday cover charge is $40 open-close and Sunday is $30 open-close. As far as the lines, we recommend getting here early. We open at 9AM and will have lines forming a few hours prior to that time.
Excellent Bar with its own beach and tables floating in the water.
Wonderful food, fun, and even the greatest entertainment on the beach. Have been there many times and would recommend it to anyone of any age. It is a great place to have a good meal and unwind with your friends and you know once you do it you will be back. What's a menu they have, every time I have eaten there I have always had and wonderful meal. I've never complained about anything on their menu. The prices are reasonable. It is a very popular place so get there early.
This was my first experience in any type of bar or club and I went for my bachelorette party with my matron of honor. I was super shy but the people were really nice and helped me come out of my shell the music is the best and I had a blast. (My MOH is a regular here! )
Rachalle and her staff we're a pleasure to work with! They went out of there way to make our guests feel welcome. Some of the gentlemen even helped our vendors load into the building. The Seacrets staff is punctual, professional & polite. They are very organized and the audio/ video team helped create an amazing display on the stage and TV monitors. We would highly recommend them to host your event. Thank you Seacrets!
I love the place, it's spectacular.
We went to Lunasea. It's a glow in the dark party. Lots of confetti, balloons, and glow Sticks. Two stages. A good crowd, inexpensive drinks, good service. We really didn't have to wait for more than three minutes for our drinks, and there was a lot of people there. We will be back for sure.
What a "fun" place for drinks and good food! Great views of the bay; weather permitting, you can even "float" in the bay.
Ashley was a great waitress. Good food. Their jerk chicken appetizer and French fries was big enough for a meal and very tasty! Interesting decor with sand floors! Very big. We were here in off season. It looks like it would be rocking during in season with a restaurant, distillery and night club!
I had a great experience here and always have. Polite staff, gorgeous scenery and greenery, live music and delicious satisfying food and drinks for a reasonable price. I had a seafood quesadilla, which has crab, shrimp and scallops, it was amazing, none of the seafood was overcook, it was perfect. My friend had a BLT which she loved. I always recommend this place for anyone in Ocean City!
Great night club and I have great memories, especially because my nephew's wedding reception was held here with open bar. It was one of the best times. I had a great time celebrating with my family.
Secrets Distillery tour was worth visiting. Layton Moore, you did a superb job bring back artifacts back from the 1920-1933 prohibition period to Ocean City. It was walking through a mini prohibition museum and distillery. The presentation with Rob was way above average of what one expected at the end of a tour. First class all the way. The distillery produces Vodka, Rum and Bourbon. Their strong award winning liquors were the Rums and Vodkas. Specifically, the Spice Rum, Golden Rum, Lemon Vodka and straight Vodka. It's a "have to experience" if you appreciate history and/or spirits.
Seacrets Jamaica USA at 117 49th Street is a neat place to spend an evening. I am an original "passport" holder from the year they opened up, and have seen Seacrets grow over the years. Great music. Unique location and atmosphere. Great drinks. Fun place to go with friends or to meet new friends.
Fun place with nice friendly staff. Good value happy hour drinks. Excellent fried onion rings. Crab cake entree was good, but not up to Baltimore standards. Nice live entertainment. Would visit again.
Jajajajajajaja Pure Flashing If you do not control the drink this is not your site, good music, drinks and good views.
♥️Wonderful experience everyone was so friendly and accommodating! Loved the informative tour of the Distillery. We also had the best bartender who just happens to be the owner, Layton. Enjoyed sampling the amazing Seacrets Liquors and had a great lunch, perfect!
Such a beautiful view when sitting outside. I’ve only been during lunch hours. I had my daughter so I wasn’t able to be seated in the outdoor water section, which just looks absolutely amazing. Watching people leave on jet skis was pretty awesome too. The drinks were great and the seafood quesadilla was delicious. Can’t wait to go back.
I fell in love with Seacrets when I first set foot on the sand. Everything in this place is so well maintained and so ornate, I always notice some hidden 'secret' each time I visit. (a lot! ) 9 Mile Roots is my favorite band to see. This place is just so unique and with the way they do things, it's for all ages.
Ocean City without Seacrets would be like taking a bath without water. It just doesn't make sense. If you're in OC you have to spend an evening here. Food is average but with bars all over multiple dance floors and stages there is something for everyone. During the day kids are allowed in to eat and walk around. During the evening it's adults only. It can get a little crazy!
This establishment is always on point regarding food. Service on the other hand is hit or miss. We had a great server who asked us to cash out upon his shift ending. His replacement was terrible and we left shortly thereafter due to this. We had intended to stay into to evening for more great food and atmosphere. This experience went from wonderful to terrible… I do recommend thus place for lunch or dinner. I can not speak about the night time festivities as I haven't been a part of that in many years.
Drinking in the bay is a ton of fun. The food is good and the wait staff are friendly. There are gluten free food options. This place is super busy during peak season; if you want a float, get there well before noon. The bay is only open during daytime hours. At night, it becomes a nightclub with a cover charge, which isn't my scene. It is a pretty good club if you're into that kind of thing though.
This is a very attractive and enjoyable place. Bar tables in the water, a great place to walk around barefoot. Plenty of bars, the bands sounded really good, and the crowd is mostly fun loving young people. We paid a $5 cover charge that was good all day, and I think that was quite reasonable. Food we ordered was good. But I like to have a few beers and go home not feeling like I made a down payment on the place. And then the bartenders are hoping for a 20 percent tip. I don't get this concept of tipping on drink prices. It's the same work if I order a $3 beer or a $6 beer, so don't give me an attitude, I'm not obligated to give you anything, nobody is giving it to me. As an update to this review, we went 3 times after I wrote this review. There are happy hours, and my experiences with the wait staff were pleasant, so I guess my first bartender was maybe having a bad night. I know it happens. Saturdays are crowded, hard to find a seat but it was nice to just wander around and dance. You must show ID to enter, security is abundant and polite.
My wife and I decided to try this place out for a light dinner right around sunset. We thoroughly enjoyed being right next to the water. I had a Salmon BLT and my wife had the BLT. I thought the food was delicious and the service was very friendly. My wife ordered a few drinks but they weren't as sweet as she normally expects. The place is huge and you can actually sit at tables or inflatables in the water and order drinks if you so desire. The sunset was gorgeous on the back bay and there was plenty to do once we were done with dinner. We got out feet wet and hung out on the dock for a while. On the way out, there was a line to get in and it started getting way more crowded. We weren't as interested in the night club part but we would definitely do dinner here again.
Fabulous place to spend time with friends and family. The food was very tasty. The service was excellent. You get the sensation that you are in Jamaica or on an island. It was nice to see people of all ages having a great time. I introduced my friends to Seacrets and they loved it. They are already talking about our next trip to Ocean City MD.
If you're all about the experience, go here for dinner. Went to Ocean City for the first time and ate here for dinner on the first night. Got seated for three fairly quickly at a booth close to the dock on a beautiful evening. The tables are set in the sand and there are hanging lights and palm trees everywhere — makes you forget you're in Maryland and not somewhere in the tropics. On this night (Tuesday) there was a live band playing and they were wonderful to listen to. Photographers also come around to the tables offering to take photos of your group which you can then buy in different sizes or on a key chain/magnet. Our server said they were known for their frozen drinks so I tried the frozen strawberry lemonade and ordered the fish tacos and a side of Jamaican fries. The fries were SO good, however, the fish tacos were a bit bland. I would not be opposed to going back and trying something else though. Overall, great experience, I would give a 4.5 if I could.
You have to go here at least once if you're staying in Ocean City. The best way I can describe it is as a Caribbean themed amusement park for adults. There's countless bars ranging from indoor night club types, to a bay bar that allows you to be served in the water. They have a large menu with delicious food and specialty drinks. There's always a band playing and they book very talented acts.
A beach club with a dress code… completely understandable… but men can't wear sleeveless shirts? I completely agree with wife beaters, crop tops, but sleeveless shirts, REALLY? We are on a beach, A BEACH. So, I called to confirm that girls CAN but men CAN'T, why is that? The response I was given was "women can basically wear whatever they want. " So it's okay for Seacrets to sexually objectify women by letting them in wearing whatever because they know it will draw more men in, bringing more profit, but my ten girlfriends and I are really to be turned away because one of us wants to feel comfortable in a tank top.? It just does NOT make sense from a business stand point, just forego the sleeveless men's shirt rule and profit will increase… I just want a REALLY good reason as to why men cannot wear tank tops. Try to get that answer out of the security office and (you can tell they've been asked this before MULTIPLE times) you get the automated tone of "before 6:00 you can wear this. After 6:00. " I'd love to get a real response instead of a "Hi this is Jackie call me at this number and I'll be happy to discuss this with you. "
Really ne cool location, as German you need a passport to pay 6 dollar entry. Identity card and driver's license are not accepted. Food is overpriced and not very tasty… But drinks are good and really super sunset:)
A few friends & I stopped her for a quick drink. The service was quick and it wasn't too busy at all. We went around 7 pm on a week night. I don't usually drink frozen drinks, but tried the rum runner. It was actually really good! The view here is amazing! I would definitely love to come back in the future and enjoy the water area. Overall, a great experience!
Nice place for an outdoor club-like experience. Great set up, plenty of room to dance around. Sound system was perfect. Mixed music, live band for a bit, not very island like, then from country to pop, but lively atmosphere.
Food is okay but its a fun place to go. On the bay is a huge party/dance area with multiple bars. Also the best part is they provide tons of rafts, seats, tables, and stools in the Bay. In the summer this place is packed. A good time.
This hotel was perfect for us. We stayed for a week and got the room with the kitchen which was amazing. The option of having meals in the room when the kids were too tired to go out was priceless. Part of the hotel itself was on the bay so there was a beach right downstairs tho we discovered the beach for swimming was across the street. The bay beach was for kayaking other water sports. The swimming beach accross the street was wonderful — you also had the option of renting lounge chairs etc… At the hotel we had the same person clean our room every day so we got to know her she was very sweet. The reception staff varied — some were wonderful and some sour. On the whole we didn't need much and were enjoying ourselves so much that we didnt even mind the sour ones. We wanted to stay 2 additional day but as they fell on the weekend the cost of adding 2 days was more than the total of whole week we were there. Although we understand why the hotels do that, the price jack was still dissapointing. In all, the hotel was clean, well located, plenty of parking (especially at the top), great swimming with TWO (! ) pools — one indoors and one out. We really couldn't have asked for much more.
What a stupid security procedure! Go through 1 metal detector, set it off, then empty your pockets & go through another metal detector? Plus the kid at the metal detector that was rude when I questioned it. I've worked security for three years for a Major League Baseball team. Trust me, that procedure is stupid! We won't be back! They lost two customers looking forward to a good night because of their stupidity, and even more so their rude guard!
We loved The Princess Bayside Beach Hotel! We will definitely stay there on our next Ocean City vacation. I am disabled and stayed in one of their handicapped accessible rooms and it was perfect. I've stayed in other hotels that were supposed to be handicapped accessible but we're just too small. I had no problems getting around in my room with my scooter. In fact I was able to get around the entire hotel without any problems. In fact the night I arrived there was a puddle blocking the way to the handicap ramp intoy hotel, they had laid down another ramp over the stairs so that no one needing to use the ramp had to go thru the puddle. I thought that was great. I'm surprised that they even thought of it but they did.
It was terrible I don't recommend this place the only thing that was good was it was next to secrets. The water pressure sucked. No room service. Elevators were so old they wouldn't stop shaking. The cleaning people didn't come clean our room until the second night so we had to use napkins for toilet paper and had no towels no mirrors besides the bathroom one. The towels were so old and hard the ice machine didn't work so we had to pay for ice! Worst place I have ever been.
Mattresses were super comfortable and the room was clean. Elevator was super slow and hallways are warm. The air conditioning is loud but it drowns outside noise out so it didn't bother us. Overall great place to stay and only a block from the bay!
Nice hotel, clean rooms and quiet. We loved the rooftop pool and the beach at the bay. It is obviously on the bay so you do have to cross coastal highway to get to the beach, but it's not bad at all. We did not like how you couldn't bring your own drinks to the pool, if you wanted a drink you had to buy them from the pool bar and they are expensive. Some of the outlets in the room didn't work properly so it was hard to find places to plug things in. We also didn't like how you got charged for the safe regardless if you used it or not. Also, if you have a coupon for your stay which you can get from their website, it isn't applied until you checkout, which what is the point of that. Also, it's a completely non smoking hotel, which is great, but you aren't even allowed to smoke on the balcony or anywhere on their property for that matter, even the parking lot. The staff was friendly enough. It's nice that they have a laundry room for guests with two washers and two dryers in case you have to do laundry while there. The price for laundry isn't expensive either,. 75 to wash and 1.00 to dry. I didn't use the indoor pool, but my husband and son did and they complained that it was cold even though it was supposed to be heated. I do wish that the staff would explain more things to you when you check in and after booking the room it would be nice to receive a confirmation in the mail as well.
Food is pretty good, but prices just keep on rising. The ribs we've had have been good sometimes and dry/less meaty other times. Chicken is more consistent. They are famous for their jerk chicken and honey barbecue sauce which are very very good, its just getting pricey. Best experiences are made if you're over 21, and can therefor access all of the bar, pier, and club areas.
This place is certainly for the younger crowd, although I did see a grandpa enjoying himself… it's not for kids. I got there early ate lunch, and then got some drinks in the water. If you want a nice seat on the water in a tube or table you have to get there pretty early, they fill up fast and people sit in them ALL day. I got the jerk chicken which was awesome and extremely huge. I drank the Pain in the ass, dirty banana and Mango Malibu drink. All the drinks tasted amazing. My parents met up with me later in the day with younger siblings and they were so super strict about them stepping an inch away from the Hostess Stand. We got screamed at by like 8 different people for not be close enough to the hostess stand. I get it, the peace police need to make sure every one is safe … but it really killed the vibe & made my family pick a different place to eat.
I have never been through the front entrance lol. We take the boat and tie off in the 'boat parking lot' in the bay. Then Seacrets come out, promptly, with their boat in and taxi you in to the Bay Beach (it's free but you should tip on your way back to your boat). The atmosphere is great, laid back and original to Seacrets. The food is pretty good too. *The restaurant is kid friendly during the day.
Excellent! Ox service, nice place, excellent food and good atmosphere!
The very light skinned boucer with tattoos on his neck, chest area was very unprofessional and rude to my son who was under 21 and myself. Our second time there during the early evening hours we wanted a souvenir, trying to find the store we mistakenly walked where the band was playing. We were approach by this boucer who rudely directed us away from a honest mistake. This person is clearly in the wrong business and and should not be there. He will bring down Seacrets. I complained to the manager. In no way did I want anything souvenir wise at this point. This boucers action made us walk away that evening with a very bad opinion on Seacrets.
Service was very nice. The gentleman Derek, knew what he was doing/saying. Very friendly, organized, always checked up on us. Can't take food to the bay, understandable. Really wanted to have the lobster, but they only serve at the raw bar… total bummer. They ambiance is absolutely amazing! MUST COME HERE if you are in town!
Amazing! Went at night with graduates. Lots of people and lots of music choices in every corner of the bar… wild crowds but great drinks and fun times. Watch out for longs lines… but no worries, they move fast!
The food is so-so, the staff is slow and rude, it gives me the creeps that you have to go through a metal detector to get in, I would imagine due to the many horrible fights that have occurred there in the past few years. The music is so loud you can't think, let alone talk, you aren't allowed to sit on their "beach", they rudely tell you to go over to the ocean if you want to sit on the beach and I have witnessed the door men picking fights with customers, even following them down the street making rude statements and calling names… NOT a family place, or a place to feel safe. I will never go there again!
Pros: Security was great. A lot of staff walking around the beach bars to assist where need be. Night Club was a lot of fun. Great music and venue. Easy access to taxi's and bus stops. $8 cover to enjoy the Night Life was worth it. Cons: Originally went to Seacrets for dinner and got hit with the $8 cover before sitting down. Ordered the Jerk Chicken appetizer which was very disappointing in my opinion; served on a paper plate. Sodas were $2.50 each which is unfortunate for a DD. Racked up $25 for a few tiny pieces of chicken and a coke. Ended up walking around lost (which is how I found the Night Club) for about 15 minutes before finding the receptionist, should be signs since the location is so large. Service was a bit slower than expected taking into consideration it was busy. Wasn't a lot of "hospitality. " Was seated upstairs with no view of the water. Seat was not comfortable, couldn't scoot it in, and felt as though it would break if you're 200+. Overall: I wouldn't eat dinner at Seacrets, but would definitely go back for the night life.
It is okay food. Okay environment but there are so many cool places in OCMD that I dont understand why people go crazy over this place. Waitress take forever since it is so packed seems like they are understaffed. The food is good I wont lie. Drink are meh. So this place is just OKAY in my opinion.
Fun place for those in their 20's. First night we were here we were all amazed by everything. There are about 20 bars within the place. We walked up to fireworks friday night to start the day off. Obviously a day sesh in the floating chairs is ideal.
I have been to Seacrets many times in the past and had a wonderful time. The last time I was vacationing in Ocean City, some family members and I wanted to go out and celebrate a safe return home from a combat deployment and chose Seacrets because of the nice atmosphere and the chill crowd. Dressed in cargo beach shorts and a button down shirt, I was rudely told by security that I could not come in because my shorts were too long. Seriously, my shorts were too long. When I asked him to please explain how shorts can be too long, I was given the poor excuse that they came past mid calf. Now, I don't know what that was about, but a group had just gone in ahead of us that had their pants damn near fastened under their asses, boxers showing and all. But here I am getting turned away for being within the dress code. Will never go back to this place again.
I went there today with 4 of my friends and the security person asked us for our IDs. Me and one of my friends had our green card thinking it would work as in ID but the security guy told us he wont let us in because we had green card instead of a driving license or passport. I was so shocked and asked him if that means they dont let people in if they came from outside of America. Surprisingly, his exact words were " yes basically ". I was so angry and asked for the manager but him and one of his coworker told me the manager wasnt in. I didnt had any other choice but to leave. I will never go back to it and dont suggest anybody to go there either.
Bartenders are awesome! Food is delicious! I had the Jerk Chicken amazing. And to top it off sitting at a table right in the water. We went back in July of 2015 here on vacation and I couldn't be happier! We went three nights in a row, each night was something different. Love the Jamaican feel and love the sand! Not good if you have heels on ladies! Lol we took our shoes off, friendly atmosphere and I met some really awesome people there! Can't wait to come here again!
This review is for the hotel, I don't have a problem with the bar or restaurant. Where to begin, a group of us came down for a bachelorette party (we are in our late 20's/early 30's). We had a room on the 3rd floor. We didn't expect the Ritz Carlton but we did think it would be clean. The floor instantly turned our feet black (shoes were now a requirement). The fans had dust caked on them, the towels had stains on them, who knows when the sheets were last changed on the pull out couch. There was a couch and 1 chair for a room that slept 6. Bringing everything up to the 3rd floor was terrible since the stairs are narrow. In the room there was a spiral staircase that lead to the loft area, do not attempt these after drinking! One person had to leave their suitcase downstairs because it wouldn't fit up the stairs. There are a bunch of random doors in the room and one was duct taped shut. I have no idea where it lead but instead of fixing the lock they just taped it closed. It was nice to have laundry in the room but we didn't use it. There was dust, dirt and hair in the corners of the floors so clearly the floor hasn't been washed in awhile. The worst of it was the front door didn't sit in the frame correctly due to being kicked in and the chain was broken off the door. Late one night during our stay a random guy came into our apartment while we were all asleep. Luckily two of us heard him and he left as soon as he saw us.
The atmosphere is nice, but food service sucked. I ordered food, they said it was in my friends bag with her food and it wasn't. I went back to confront them about it and they wouldn't give me my money back or new food. Also they had me pay for food from my group that was not mine. I would go back for drinks and the atmosphere, but not for the food service.
Good was good but the service was the absolute worst. I've never had such a horrible experience anywhere. A group of us sat down at a table for dinner and a waiter came and told us we had to get up and go find a hostess to be seated. So we walked around looking for someone, then asked another employee where to find the hostess. They informed us there wasn't one at that time of night and to sit anywhere. We go and sit back down at the same table only to be told to get up and go around to the corner where the hostess was. At this point were walking in circles for 20 mins. So we go ask another employee at a bar, how do we get seated? He said after 10pm (which it was) there are no hosts and to sit anywhere. Obviously at this point were mad and if we hadn't paid $10 a person to get in would leave but the entry fee makes you feel like you have to stay at that point. Obviously the waiter didn't want to serve us though. They also don't tell you that they charge you $30 to "hold your table" like just to eat or drink there. That would have been fine if she at least told us from the beginning. I will never go back to this place.
Good fun in OC! I keep own it's a Jamaican themed club/restaurant, but my only recommendation is that they mix up the music a little more. They usually only play rock or Jamaican music. Fun place though. Good drinks.
Will never spend another penny in this place. The Peace Police? If you want to promote peace, how about sticking up for the middle age couple that was just trying to mind their own business and have a very rare night out. Nope! You threw us out, because we wouldn't take any crap from some barely legal drinking age twats. Never never again. This place rocked in the 90's, us 20 somethings then, spent a lot of money there and promoted it by word of mouth. Some of us even had Seacrets credit cards. Those days are over. Let the younger customers, and the dumbo's in "Peace Police" shirts continue to ruin Seacrets. I'm going to Fishtale's.
This place doesn't deserve any stars! Worst place ever! If you want to have a good time this is not the plave to go. Food is bad and the worst food I've ever tasted in my life. This place should be shut down. Don't waste your money on this trashy place!
2 couples go there for a nice time and dinner. Husband is wearing a nice tank top because it's very warm out. Other gentleman is wearing a white t-shirt. They tell us we can not come in. We were not the only ones. They were turning a lot of people.
Famous destination bar/beach club in Ocean City Maryland. Very cool how the atmosphere changes as you explore the facility. One minute you're inside grabbing their trade mark drink called a "pain-in-the-ass" the next you're in an open area with sand at your feet and no roof for viewing the stars. Secrets has two stages for musical acts and a pier to dock a boat along with tables and seats in the water for wet dinning.
Very poor service! As soon as I get in and take a drag of my ecig one of the bouncers yells at me at literally grabs my arm while proceeding to shout a string of obscenities about not smoking. When I politely tell him to let go of my arm and that I did not know I couldn't use an ecig he walks away with both middle fingers pointed up at me. I was tempted to ask for a manager but he quickly disappeared into the crowd and I did not think it was worth ruining my night further dealing with him. All the staff seemed to belittle you and the drinks weren't even made that well. It's too bad, this could have been a nice place. Never coming here again.
Went there for the night scene with wife and friends. Guys can't wear a tank top, very sexiest but w/e. Drinks where good though.
Long over due needs a 2016 make. You guys drinks are over priced water down food taste like it was dropped on the kitchen floor. Make over.
Three of us had Dinner 5:00pm not busy I had Tuna good my husband had New York Strip looked like cooked in oven and as thin as a pancake. My sister ordered ribs dry and not much sauce she ate one rib the best was 6 pieces of Yukon potatoes and 6 stalks of asparagus. To put such a high price on your food you'd think it would be worth it. Not so you need to look aat your plates and prices. No good.
This place is the best Ocean City has to offer in terms of nightlife. Errr actually one of the only places as wel. The staff definitely have a chip on their shoulder, but they're a wannabe club so what do you expect. There is a cover on weekends, but its only like $10 tops, and that's cheap for me (NY cover starts at $15 for guys usually). Once inside, lots of places to sit, lots of places to explore, to dance, to drink, lots of interesting people to meet or avoid, etc. The drinks are also very cheap, only like $3 for a decent draft beer. Their DJ's were okay, but it wasn't like I was expecting anything special. The bands they book though, in my experience, are pretty good. Not pretty good in that they're all amazing, but they are all entertaining and actively engage the crowd. One reggae band in particular stands out to me in that they had an old guy as the lead singer who made the rounds very well, a sick guitarist, and a very good keyboard/backup singer (they did a very good cover of Freebird as well). I'd recommend going with a few friends as a lot of people were in groups. Also there were a nice amount of older people there, but the main thing to remember here is that everyone will be drunk. If that's not you, then don't go, because people do get a little rowdy. At the end of the night don't worry about it, as you will also have an entertaining bus ride home ahead of you.
Be careful at this bar. Two customers, Joshua Ford and Geney Crutchley went to this club for an evening of drinks and socialization. They were lured from this club by a married couple, Erika and Benjamin Sifrit. The foursome went back to the Sifrit's. They were brutally murdered, decapitated, and Benjamin Sifrit soaked in a hot tub with their decapitated heads in the tub with him. The couples met on a bus, went to this club, and left together. Just be careful. M William Phelps wrote a book, Cruel Death about the case. Be careful.
Went to this place for lunch with my mother, doorman at 1pm asked to see my ID (wasn't even trying to drnk) All I has was my millitary ID which has my birthdate, I'm 23. He would only accept a state issued ID. They wouldnt let me in. We were furious, they ended up getting a manager who let us in. Dumb rules and the food was DIRT! TOURIST TRAP.
Heaven on earth! Seriously this place is a blast. The drinks are awesome and there are so many options — pina coladas, red bull slushies, rum runners, coffee-flavored and more! The Big Bamboo is a doozy. Sitting out in the bay and drinking is the bees knees. It was crazy this past weekend and so much fun. They had a couple of bands playing, so many bars open, and the weather was perfect. We had lunch here, too, and it was surprisingly tasty. Seafood quesadilla and crab toast are on the must have list. Fish taco was a bit odd. Pricing is fair, too, at least for the drinks. All $5-8 a piece.
Like some of the other reviews, you're expected to put your hands in the air for the glory of going to such an "awesome" place, but the truth of the matter is that they don't care about trying to nickel and dime you for everything. I get there expecting to relax with a drink by the water in a way to relieve the pressures of the day. What happens is that I'm asked my age and told to pay a cover because Im over 21. Then get horrible service all around. Not coming back.
This place is staffed by a bunch of goons who have no understanding of customer service or management. The staff expects to have their ass kissed. Right there, alone, is intolerable service. Your staff are normal people, who get an equal amount of respect as everyone else. That is a realistic expectation. Conversly, the oblivious staffs' misguided and mismanaged expectation of receiving an inordinate amount of respect, from the customer of all people, completely destroyed the customer experience and caused this review to be written. Businesses in Ocean City should be hiring people who can manage their people and issues, not people who make bad business decisions or escalate issues. I won't be visiting this place again, any of it's subsidiaries, and telling everyone I know not to go.
